Melia Las Dunas: Very nice resort

This is an awesome place to relax (with no internet)! There are enough activities to enjoy and party all the time if you wish. The beach is breathtaking! They also have fair choices for dining. I'd go back!

this is one resort I would return to again.We took our son and girlfriend and had a great time.The resort is big with lots to do.The staff was excellent, food was good for Cuba.The lobby bar was alive every night excellent place

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Beautiful Resort - Great People On Staff

The resort is fairly new and has outstanding views of the ocean at every turn. The staff there are quite warm, friendly and obviously working hard to build a positive reputation for the resort. We'd go back in a heartbeat! Thanks Eurostars and TripCentral.

Memories Paraiso: Resort was incredible!!!

My husband John and I lenjoyed our stay here. It was clean and the staff were very friendly. We had trouble landing as there was a storm and lost a lot of time at the resort but once we were there, the staff were wonderful.

Eurostars is a fresh modern take in a traditional setting. It has its small hiccups due to the fact that it is a new hotel, but overall, the clean, fresh and modern biuldings and restaurants are a pleasure to see and visit. the staff, as everywhere in Cuba, are a pleasure to get to know. Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Very Friendly and attentive

All staff were very friendly and enthaustic about trying to help out with any question, or concern. We were treated like vip's the whole week. The Gardener had flowers for our hair everyday after breakfast. The bell boys answered all questions and were more than helpful in every way. The bartending staff was excellent and very friendly. The grounds were very well kept. The rooms were clean and very relaxing. No complaints

The grounds were simply lovely - very clean and magical. The loungers on the beach were my favorite. Every aspect of this reosrt is top notch ! The staff was so attentive. The food at the buffet and al a carte was fresh and delicious.

This was our 3rd time at Melia Las Dunas and will continue to go there at least once a year. The staff are so friendly and make your stay one to remember. The weather was perfect and the beach is amazing.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Must go to resort!

Beautiful, well maintained resort, with an exclusive feel to it. We stayed for a week and loved it. The only negative parts were the bugs and how they brought our group in. We arrived at midnight and they kept us out talking to the butler for 15 mins and no one had big spray, I got at least 15 bites. Look for Ronaldo bartender makes the best pink colodas from scratch, no machine.

Sol Cayo Santa Maria: Nice resort

I really liked the layout of this resort, lots of vegetation, bungalows of 4 or 2 rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The weather was teriffic no rain. The Italian and Grill restaurants very good food and service. Great place to relax.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: great family vacation

My family and i (4 adults) stayed at this hotel from June 13 to 20. We had an excellent time. The hotel is beautiful; very clean. Lots of large pools and the beach is rhe most beautiful that i have ever seen. There's alot of options for food. My brother loved the 24 hours snack bar. Parents loved the fried snapper at the beach buffet. Lots of fresh fruits and cheese available for breakfast and dinner. Lobby bar is great. They have an excellent cappuccino and hot chocolate. Melia Las Dunas: Beautiful Resort!

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful resort. However the flight home from Santa Maria to Halifax on March 26, 2014 with Air Transat was absolutely terrible. Landing the plane in a snow storm that had closed down much of Nova Scotia was terrifying. We would definitely return to this resort, however we would choose another airline in the future. The resort deserves a 5 star rating.

Very nice, clean resort!! The staff were always friendly and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable. I celebrated my birthday while we were there and the dining room team went above and beyond!! Thanks for a memorable vacation :-)

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Disappointing!

I wasn't sure how to rate this resort. We have travelled to carribean destinations many times and have to say this was our biggest (and only) disappointment. While the resort itself would be a 4 or 5, the food was a zero star. First of all the staff were excellent. The Cuban hospitality did not disappoint. The lighting in the pathways to our rooms was poor to non existant and while this may seem minor one just did not feel secure walking here after dark. The biggest disappointment was the food. We know not to have high expectations of Cuban cuisine but this was awful. I am a review reader and when I read reviews about bad food I take it with a grain of salt. I know some folks are fussier than others and we are not hard to please. We travelled with a group from Nova Scotia...a pretty easy going group... And the threat of a storm at home keeping us there for an extra day was scary...imagine not wanting to have another day in paradise just because we could not eat the food one more day. Other than the omelets at breakfast and the beach BBQ, the food most of the time was cold and lacked variety. We had read reviews about the bugs and came prepared. They were definitely there so it is a good idea to come armed with bug repellant. Personally I would not go back to this resort. Hopefully they will get their act together in the kitchen and it could definitely become a 4+ star destination.

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Unsatisfied to say the least

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Its the third time I've stayed at a hotel on the Cayo Santa Maria Strip- this was my least favorite. The food options were very limited, the staff were only responsive to constant tips and the strip of beach the hotel is on goes from ankle deep to underwater in two steps. My partner walked into our room in the afternoon to find our cleaner urinating in our washroom with the door open. Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Fantastic Family Getaway

We traveled to this resort as a family of four with two children. This resort is just lovely. The grounds are well maintained, rooms are basic but are kept very clean and have everything you could need. We were pleased with the amount of activities and entertainment, the animation crew was great with kids! There was live music everyday at this resort which was a really nice touch. The resort has a wonderful quaint and friendly feel but has plenty to offer. We found the buffet was excellent, lots of great fresh to order stations. The staff at the buffet were so friendly and eager to make conversation and always had a smile on their face. The Seafood restaurant and Gourmet were not great but we enjoyed the Italian and our friends said the Asian was good as well although we didn't try if ourselves. We will defiantly be back!

The first time I went to Las Dunas it had just opened and was amazing!! Now, I was a bit disappointed because it's not that clean anymore. The beach is one of the best in Cuba. It's worth to go with family!

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Looking for a place to truly relax!!!!

This small & cosy resort is just beautiful. The food was extraordinaire though only a la carte. We had a room on the second floor with the view of the ocean an a balcony, what more can you asked for. Very clean and well maintained. They have a butler system that took us some getting use to but we enjoyed the courteous staff very much. Definitely will return!

Memories Azul Beach Resort: Amazing Resort

Our Second year in a row to this Resort and can't wait to go back again. We go for two weeks every year. The Resort is very clean and the food and drinks were awesome!!! The staff are amazing, very accomadating and friendly!! This was our twelth trip to Cuba..We truly love this Resort, our favorite by far!! The Resort is the biggest we have ever stayed at but, still our fav..Alot of walking but, if you don't like to walk they are always driving around with golf carts and more then willing to tak [... read more]e you to your destination.. there is a huge market and a few resturants right beside the resort, in walking distance..the pools and beach are also amazing!!
