Excellence Punta Cana: WOW Ecellent Resort

From the time we got there and were met with some bubbly, through the quick and easy check in with Edison until we got on the bus to leave we were pampered, entertained and catered to in a way I have never experienced. Jose lead pool side activities and poker with a style all his own. The shows at night were entertaining. After that they had it ready for her every morning. At our pool bar Felix and crew were 6 star. we had a mixologist with use and they ran for different flavored liquors constantly and never disappointed. There was a wedding there while we were there and the Newlyweds told me their experience was fantastic. No fighting for loungers or day beds. No reservations needed so we never had to plan more then 20 mins ahead. we ate at grill twice both times top notch. Lobster house was very good. Did French twice too because it was just so good. A big shout out to Oscar at the spa who made my wife very happy with a vitamin E facial, She said she never felt so good and the truth is she looked5 years younger and so healthy and refreshed. Many people there were returnees and that is because of the awesome staff. Room service, mini bar stockers, cleaning people.. Everyone was just so friendly and accommodating. Only downside is it in the north and if you plan on excursion most are 1-2 hours away. Place is so great you wont want to go any where anyways..lol Danielle Smith at Bedford Tripcentral was there for me when I had questions. I would highly recommend her to anyone going on a trip.

Riu Republica: Amazing Vacation for My Family!

The Resort was large but never seemed really crowded. There were always lots of Chase Lounges, both on the Beach and at the Pools. The people that worked at the Resort were very friendly and accommodating! They were also very appreciative of the tips that my family left every meal. We were a party of 6 and we would all go back again. It was a Great Experience!

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Amazing Beach

We've traveled here twice now and we can honestly say they it was even better than the first time. Food and drinks were great but you can't beat that gentle warm breeze the runs day and night. All the restaurants were unique in their own way. La Brisa on the water front was probably the favorite for lunch and diner. Best burgers ever!!!! Best view ever!!!

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Quaint Resort

the resort was very remote and quiet, not a place for anyone who is looking for a party atmosphere, great for older couples or young families. The rooms are a bit tired compared to other Bahia resorts we have been to. The staff do their best a few are really great Francis is the main buffet restaurant is a hoot! The Air Canada representative Luis was extremely helpful and friendly and always available. Food was good, Gourmet Restaurant was great and Italian was very good. Overall it was a nice quiet vacation. Samana region is beautiful!

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Enjoyable Resort

Nice layout, good pools, spa, massage on the Beach. restaurants a la carte, animation, good food, neat room, employees offering good service, always smiling. Two things i did not like, too much sea weeds on the beach and Wifi very slow and something does not work. Also in front of hôtel the sales people from the boutiques are insisting. bugging thé tourists.

Grand Memories Punta Cana: Beautiful resort.

The grounds of the resort was beautiful. I also found the staff very friendly and helpful. The Memories resort itself is quite always from the beach so be prepared for that and get used to taking the trams. The Royalton, which you have access to is gorgeous and we loved the ice cream shop on hot days to cool off.

Playabachata Hotel: Romantic Resort

Beautifully maintained grounds with lots of palm trees. Easy access from room to pools and beach. Convenient public wifi coverage. Love this resort for the friendly staffs and services. Lots of restaurants and bars to go around and enjoy. After hours snack bars very helpful for those looking for a quickie snacks.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Nice resort

The hotel was clean , well maintained and well organized . Restaurants offered a good variety of dishes , service was excellent . Our room was nice , except for a noticeable odor ( potentially caused by dampness ) . Overall , a good experience.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Fabulous resort

Dreams Punta Cana is a lovely resort laid out extremely well with easy access to dining and entertainment, the magnificent pool and the massive swim up bar. The beach is only steps away from the pool and is amazing and very wavy. Staff are nice and friendly and helpful and provide many activities to have fun throughout the day and night. Dreams is located only 30 minutes from the airport and offsite activities like dune buggies and snorkelling excursions are even closer to the hotel to enjoy.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Very clean

Beautiful grounds, well maintained public areas, helpful friendly staff, comfortable lobby area and a beach where you can walk for miles. We really enjoyed our stay. The perfect place to wind down and relieve stress.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Wonderful Time

Our stay at the CHIC resort was wonderful. The staff were amazing, very accommodating and friendly. We enjoyed the food and the restaurants were all walk in which we liked, no reservations needed. The entertainment was great each and every night. The games pool side and on the beach were funny and entertaining. The room was clean as was the resort it self. The down side for me was the beach which was lovely but because we were on the Atlantic side the water was rough. I prefer less waves. All in [... read more] all we had a great time.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Amazing Resort

Everything was perfect.... lots of time to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner Staff were terrific, always smiling happy to see us, service was exceptional. Even the bar service knew my preferences and had the drink ready. Room service was ok... kept forgetting there were 2 of us and had to be reminded on the face washers and hand towels.... but the rooms were very clean and beds were made without a wrinkle in the sheets. I'll be back!!

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Very nice resort

We absolutely loved this resort. It doesn’t have your typical a la crate‘a. You don’t need any reservations for them and no limit either. Dress code was much nicer for men as well. You can wear shorts and golf shirt with sandals. Unlike most were men have to wear long pants and closed toe shoes. The resort was well kept and clean. Entertainment at night was so fun. Staff was wonderful. I would return to this resort

Casa Marina Reef Resort: Very enjoyable stay

This resort was more than adequate for a restful and peaceful vacation. The room was clean and well maintained. The pools were great. The beach was even better. The only negative was that it was hard to reserve chairs at the pools.

Ocean Blue and Sand: A good resort

The resort was really nice. The room was very spacious and very clean. The bedding was change every day and along with fresh towels in the bathroom. The bathrooms need to be upgraded but everything was functioning. The restaurants offer a wide variety International food. The main restaurant buffet what's an excellent choice also. The grounds and pools we're amazing with swim-up bars at both the large pools. As for the beach area in front of the resort it is nothing like the pictures in their ad  [... read more]as it has been washed away by storms. And they have put man made barriers in the water to protect what is left of the shoreline. There is still lot of beach area to both the left and right of the resort. Overall we were pleased with the resort. It is a good value for your money.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Delicious Food

The food was truly amazing at this resort. The presentation, flavour and quality were top notch. The beach was lovely! Lots of shade and places to enjoy the sunshine. Lack of beach chairs was a concern most days. The resort needs to purchase more!! Staff very friendly although the male staff around the pool were much too friendly with our university girls. Way too flirtatious and one actually followed one of our girls to a washroom waiting for her to come out and acknowledge his attention. Not  [... read more]acceptable at all. She was very uncomfortable and even afraid. Service at the restaurants was pretty decent. The only a la carte that we have a complaint about is the Asian Restaurant. We lined up before 6pm to have dinner. Probably 20 people got in before us and we were then told we’d have to wait an hour and a half to get a table. We could see there were empty tables so my guess is they didn’t have enough staff to accommodate the size of their restaurant. Disappointing. Never returned to that one. Rooms were decent although the shower leaked onto the floor each time we used it. Poor design. Overall this was a nice place but the best part was the food!

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great Value for Price

Overall you get a great value for the a very reasonable price. The buffets were good, they had the standard varieties of food options at both locations. The 3 restaurants which you has book before we’re just ok, nothing special. The property was beautiful and very well maintained. The pools were always super clean and maintenance staff were constantly working all day. All levels of staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to assist any way possible. The beach was great excep [... read more]t for the locals trying to get to you to buy something. The rooms were very outdated and in need of a makeover, but always clean and well stocked with towels, mini bar items and toilet paper. Wifi was very strong throughout the entire resort, never lost connection once. I would suggest to bring water bottles. Iberostar no longer has plastic water bottles in rooms but water dispensing machines on each floor. Great job reducing plastic!

Paradise Playa Dorada: Above average stay

This hotel was very clean and had the amenities to make our stay great, we would definitely go back! We were there for 7 days and the staff were excellent - food was alway fresh and tasty and had good variety!

Riu Republica: Fantastic resort

The hotel was excellent. The hotel was very clean and staff super friendly and courteous. We went on two excursions. The catamaran 1/2 day was perfect crew were amazing and a lot of fun very helpful to get us engaged in the adventure we snuba and snorkeled was a great experience.. Room was great except we paid extra to upgrade room for view and had no view just a roof top which really sucked. our son travelling with us paid no extra and had fantastic view. We went on second excursion experienc [... read more]e not great buggy rides too much selling not enough fun. We were also horrified with little kids running up to buggy’s for money three or five years old could have gotten hurt. Also were not informed we would have to pay 10 dollars for a bandanna so we had no money left for local people’s treasures such as coffee. Our son went years ago and the cave was a highlight then now too commercial he did not enjoy that experience at all. When he went they swam in cave was not a place to sell everything just have fun.would we recommend trip? Maybe?

Casa Marina Reef Resort: Good resort

Dining could be better .bars could stay open longer and better service. I would like to swim in the pools after supper or have a drink but everything is a little hard to attain. Slow service and not allowed in the pool after certain hours
