Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: not quite a wow.....

Our stay was enjoyable but the wow factor was not there this year. Okay food----be very careful if you have any food allergies----even with reservations at restaurants and letters of explanations for the serving staff, mistakes were made. I would recommend the Ambar----but I would add some cautions about expectations.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing resort!

Beautiful resort - the grounds are impeccable, there is so much selection in the buffet dining option, and most impressive was the staff at this resort. They were friendly, very accommodating and helpful. The beach is magnificent and the pools are terrific. Great experience!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: beautiful resort

It was a very nice resort. but there was only one buffet since we couldn't use the other buffet for exclusive part of the resort. Our room in 15 section on the first floor was very noisy during the night.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing Resort and beautiful Beach!!!

The resort was very clean and my family received unbelievable service from their workers there. Very friendly workers and love the beaches, I just fall in love with the view and how amazing they welcome you there! I would go back again in a heart beat!

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Fantastic resort!

We really enjoyed this resort. It was clean, beautiful, service was great, beach was awesome, food was quite good, and we could stay in the Esmeralda area or expand our horizons and easily walk or trolly to the connected resorts to change it up without feeling like you were leaving the resort compound. All the employees were very friendly. Wish Wish could have stayed longer! Thanks to our TripCentral rep Teresa for a great recommendation!

Bahia Principe Explore La Romana: Great Resort

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time at this resort. The food was fantastic, the pool was beautiful and the beach area quiet and peaceful! We had some problems with power outages (3 times) but who cares, you're on vacation!! Overall I would reccommend this resort to anyone!

Second time at this beautiful resort! No issues with anything! Great food, great people, great weather! Trip central was great too, travel agent Julie Bond was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, as shes been to this resort!

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Amazing Trip

The grounds were immaculately kept. Everyone was so helpful, kind and polite. We were on the luxury side and so happy that we were. It was so relaxing and peaceful, with music and fun activities starting at a reasonable time in the afternoon. Drinks, especially Pina coladas were great. Our room was on the ground floor with a nice view of both the pools and the ocean. Our only complaint was that the mosquitos all seemed to want to live in our room... Would be nice to have some sort of option for a mosquito net at night around the bed! This is probably only an issue for the ground floor. I would request to be higher up next time we visit. Luxury side is perfect if you don't have kids and are looking to relax and unwind but also have a good time.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing Resort!! Amazing service!!

The Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an was fabulous!!! This was my first ever all inclusive and this resort is 5 stars, all the way. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful for whatever you needed. The hospitality service ah-mazing!! The food at the buffet was delicious and I sampled almost ALL the varieties that were offered. I'm not much of a sweet tooth, so I enjoyed the abundance of fruit and icecream there. The gourmet restaurants were also very different and they did not disappoint either. I [... read more] really like the fact that the villa's sit amongst a jungle so I can hear birds and see other creatures on my short walk to the lobby or beach bar. My family stayed here last year and recommended it to me. They were so right, I had a terrific time and met a lot of people. I got the relaxation I needed as well as a lot of the culture that I wanted to experience. I stayed from Mar 27 - Apr 3, 2016.....but am thinking of going back for Christmas!!

Food was very good, the resort is very well maintained, staff bend backward to accomidate your every request. It is a big resort but the trolley system works well and I would not let the size deter you. The golf course was excellent. Just a great relaxing week. We will be returning

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Beautiful Resort!

To start off from the airport a little over an hour drive to the resort. Checking in takes place on the bus therefore a voicing long check in lines. Very much appreciated! Grounds immaculate, traders always working hard! Staff outstanding, some still learning and in training...all good! Pools 3 in total, 2 quiet pools the other main pool lots of activities. Bathroom and shower no issues . Food outstanding! We did not leave there craving anything, all our needs were met. 3 specialty restaurants were all great! Our preferred one was the Italian. Japanese close second. I notified the guest services that we were celebrating an anniversary and we were greeted with a lovely banner across our door for the week. In the room a complimentary bottle of Brugal Rum, Bahia Príncipe t- shirts, fruit platter, balloons to name a few. We took walks on the " Pueblo Príncipe" aka main drag for some shopping and casino life in the evenings. Definitely a 5 star in our eyes as the resort met and exceeded all our expectations!

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Great Resort

Clean, the staff pampered us the entire vacation. The food was really good also and served organized and clean and promptly. Anytime we needed extra waters or snacks we had no problem receiving at our hotel. Lots of entertainment every night. Poolside bar...Beautiful resort!!!! The beach however at our side of the resort was rocky so I would suggest water shoes.. But if you walk down a bit the beach was outstanding--pure white sand, clean. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Amazing resort but with Management issues

The hotel was awesome, immaculate grounds, pools, food, activities etc- all what a 5 STAR resort should be. However, we experienced some problems that took away from the perfect resort experience. We could not get into our room until several hours past the check in time and entered a moldy, musty smelling room that took several hours to air out, the rooms were not cleaned daily until late afternoon,after 4:00, we had a leak in our ceiling,no hot water for 2 days, the mini fridge did not work for [... read more] 5 days, and our dinner reservations were incorrect on 3 occasions. We traveled with another couple and they experienced similar problems, so affecting us as well. The staff were great,but management to take care of these issues were not satisfactorily effective in addressing the problems or providing sufficient resolve to our complaints. Its hard to know whether our experience was an anomaly or whether other guests aside from our travel companions,had problems too. If an anomaly, I would still recommend this resort,if not,I am afraid it would be difficult to do so.If the problems we experienced were not in play,it would have been the best vacation ever. So very conflicted.

Lush grounds, great food at the buffet, tons of a la carte restaurants to choose from, and access to 3 other resorts. This was our first time to Mexico and we loved our time at this resort. A nice quiet feeling - not the loud music and party atmosphere of other resorts.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Beautiful Vacation with some issues

This was our 9th all inclusive and second Bahia, (first was the Tulum in 2004). The visuals, beautiful. The grounds were impeccable, clean, no garbage anywhere. Smoking only allowed outside with ash trays everywhere. Our room 6621 was a corner third floor next to the infinity pool looking directly on the beach and third lagoon. An amazingly comfortable king bed with four pillows. Though we had a butler we only used him once. The room had a screen door, so no bugs , we slept to the sound of waves [... read more] every night. Our maid was a sweetie who tried hard to communicate. She was very efficient and helped when we had room issues. The bathroom had shampoo, soaps, a razor, comb, shower gel etc. replaced daily. The fridge was supposed to be restocked daily but was not. Cases of water were placed on the stairs daily so we helped ourselves. We ate at a few A-La-Carts, but found the food at the buffets so plentiful and tasty, that we preferred the more laid back atmosphere. Also they changed up their theme each night. Canada night featured beaver Tails. There was a main buffet but also a 24 hour beach bar and next to the infinity pool had a buffet/ A-La-Cart where we ate most breakfasts and some lunches. You were always met by a smiling maître de and hand sanitizer. A nice touch. We did venture to the other three resorts to eat and visit, but decided for our tastes the Akumal was the best choice. The 3/4 pools were warm, shallow with plenty of shade and loungers, however the best ones were snagged before 7:00AM. Same went for the beach. There was an adults only section, but we choose to mingle. I was again impressed with how clean the resort was including the beach. The lagoons were well protected by both whales and fish netting. Unfortunately the life guards had their hand full with patrons swimming outside the ropes in the strong currents. Red flag every day. Bar service was excellent from the bar tenders to the waitresses at all the bars including the beaches. We did feel sometimes that they were a little understaffed for the volume of people and often our servers had line-ups and only one working. This also happened a few nights at the buffet. This leads into our issues. We believe our building had just had renovations and was opened before being vetted for problems. Our pickup at the airport excellent. Arrived at 12:30 PM for a 3:00PM check-in. We were immediately told 3:30. Then 4:00 PM, 4:30, 5:00. We watched our maid finish setting up at 5:30. Our friends next door got into their room at 5:00 PM. Over the ten days we made two calls to have our screen door repaired. Would not close. Finally removed fixed and replaced. Fridge not working. Never did get really cold. No hot water for showers. Fixed. No restocking of fridge even after many phone calls. Two days in a row our room was not cleaned until 4:30 or 5:00. Hard to get ready for early dinner reservations. Maid could not access room with her key. We let her in. Thought that odd until the next day our keys stopped working. Maid called service. They got in by going through friends room over balcony. Eventually they replaced the whole lock. Unfortunately when we went to the lobby to have our keys reprogramed, they did not do the same for the maid and maintenance department. Two more days the maid waited for us to let her in. Maybe this was the reason our fridge was never restocked. The front desk did not believe that their people could not access our room until we had many conversations with management. Finally on our second to last night we came home to a large puddle of water on the floor and a skid across the floor. The next morning it was eventually repaired after we demanded a manager come to our room. We were told they were not on site before 9:30 in the morning. He appeared at 10:00. We then had a meeting on the beach that morning with Paola, senior management where she addressed many of our concerns, including arranging for an A0-La-Cart dinner that night with complementary wine to replace a dinner we missed because they scheduled it wrong. Understand that the maid and maintenance personal were fantastic. We felt it was a breakdown in communication between the levels of management that caused so many issues. We understand that these massive complexes have issues and we also expect things to happen. Not just all to us. Was this an anomaly? I hope so, as we would still and have recommended this resort to friends.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Beautiful Resort

This resort is beautiful!! It is larger than I expected. There is no space between each of the resorts so it feels like one huge resort. Some items in rooms were missing or inconsistent like face cloths, spoons, coffee, drinks in fridge. Make a la crate reservations before you go as it's hard to get them once you're there!! Check outs coordinating with flight would be great. Busy beach and pool so you need to reserve chairs first thing in morning. Special events are not well advertised or reliab [... read more]le (Friday ice cream party advertised but didn't happen, kids' Easter egg hunt not mentioned on check in or on anything given to us so unless you were by the pool to hear about it you missed it...and my 6 year old was disappointed). Shuttles around resort are convenient.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great Resort

Beautiful resort, the flowers, plants, grass, pools, beach were all so amazing. The lobbies at the different hotels were all different but unique and beautiful, Our room was really nice and clean as well the resort itself. We enjoyed all the restaurants and booked a few of the specialty ones on our first day, We recommend that you go to the tour guide/ package /welcome meeting as you do get some inside information as well as some other information on booking excursions etc. We recommend that you [... read more] take a walk around the whole resort to see all the lobbies, pools, restaurants and see which ones that you can access. as we talked to some people on the plane going home and they did not realize they had so many areas where they could have spent some time and enjoyed it as much as we did. Would like to suggest that the hotel has an information board or to notify the guests of the entertainment or activities as we missed out on some things that it was too late for us. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Beautiful and tranquil resort

The grounds are lush and full of flora. The pools are clean and quiet, other than the activity pool which had games and contests. Buffet food was AMAZING. Their communication via email was lacking. They would never give out the beach equipment (mask, snorkel, kayak) due to a "red flagged" beach....even in the calm section.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Good resort!

Grounds, dinning, public areas and features are excellent: welcoming, spacy, clean, relaxing. But the room: too dark, mosquitos all the time. Before trip, we were offered the junior room with two beds for two women and we paid for that. It was documented. By arriving, at the hotel reception we were informed by manager that we can have only room with king bed. It was disappointing!

We must announce that our recent travel service with Trip Central was most easy and excellent ! Our booking agent was friendly with excellent customer service. The TRANSAT airline provided a smooth and relaxing flight. All was appreciated and enjoyed our recent stay at Grand Bahia Principe San Juan. We have only a single statement for your viewing...
