Zel Cozumel: Better than last time

This resort is extremely well maintained. Everything is spotless. The staff work hard to make sure you have a great vacation. Rooms are very adequate and spacious. The food is better than when we were here 3 years ago. Staff all wear masks and the majority of guests do, also. Masks are mandatory in restaurants for guests. Drinks are very good, not watered down. Some days there is seaweed and some days, there is none. The entertainment is very good. We will go back!

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Awesome resort! Highly recommend!

I had a wonderful time at this resort. The place is spotless clean, the staff is really nice, and the food is amazing at the buffet and restaurants. My only critiques would be in terms of table service at the buffet in late meal times (ie: lunch at 3pm instead of at 12pm). It seems waiters get tired by then and start not replacing cutlery and cleaning tables and take a while to bring drinks. I would suggest also colouring sitting spots somewhat. For example, colour code rows of palm trees  [... read more]with a small coloured tape or colour trash cans so that your spot is easy to find when you come back from taking a plunge. Highly recommend overall!

El Dorado Seaside Palms: Christmas and NYE at ElDorado

Stayed at ElDorado Seaside for Christmas and NYE. There were theme events and big parties on 25th and 31st of Dec. Fire show from Cancun was visiting one day. Hotel has two lobbys. I was staying close to the beach. Room was spacious and clean. Maid service was prompt and at the highest standard. Hotel has clean beach with shallow water and pools. There were plenty of restaurants at the resort with decent selection of food. Pcr test for travelling is available at the hotel. One possibl [... read more]e downside was small selection of alcohol at the resort. Wine is limited to red and white wine. Whisky – only basic choices. Overall it's a great place for vacation.

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach: interesting experience...not sure it's one to be repeated

The hotel was massive, not easily walkable. This resort (whether a new model or just new to me) was very frustrating as an all inclusive. Every time you went anywhere, ordered a drink, got a snack, sat down to a meal, you were presented with a bill. The bill was zeroed out but was asking you to authorize a 15 or 20% tip. The process was lengthy and frustrating and meant you couldn't come and go and leave a tip for service for your actual waiter. We made the mistake of going to a location that  [... read more]wasn't apparently included, it was the deli for a sandwich which is ridiculous that it wasn't included and got stuck with a $15 USD bill for a sub par sandwich. Being in destination for NYE we expected to eat as normal and perhaps enjoy an activity after dinner. What we didn't expect was that every restaurant on resort was charging a minimum $50 - $75 USD per person fee to have a regular menu meal. We were very frustrated and essentially demanded a meal and were eventually given a table at no charge. We were not looking for a special meal just dinner as we had paid for in the all inclusive package. There was little mask compliance on resort by guests, no enforcement by staff and and buffets remained self serve which we were surprised by. This limited our meal choice further. Finally, there were absolutely no entertainment options. No live music, no show, the after club was a tiny room with sports bar/screens everywhere not a place to go and dance or enjoy. Aqua Bar 29 was the highlight of the trip and one of the few positives I can share. Miguel, Carlos, Omar and Victor were lovely and accommodating.

El Dorado Seaside Palms: Great Vacation

Exceeded expectations: people, food, bar, pool. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating and goes out of their way to make you feel at home. A special thanks to our concierge, Stephan... he was amazing. Yes, we had to get Covid Tests which costs about $130 US, but that went very smoothly.

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach: AMAZING Pool and STAFF at Building 30!

Thank you to Miguel and his team at PoolBar26 ... they took very good care of us, made us feel comfortable and even made some very good food recommendations. Thank you very much for making a tough vacation, a better one!

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach: SUNWING Who?

We booked this all-inclusive 5* vacation through SUNWING Vacations, we felt that we had been very well cared for during the booking process and flight, until we arrived in destination. Upon arrival, check-in was long and confusing, our covid PCR test booking was sketchy, we were given no information from the resort in terms of resort map, activity schedule, booking excursions etc. We tried to find a Sunwing rep that evening, the next day and a couple of other times during our stay. At no point, [... read more] did we find a rep, in fact, resort employees at the check-in desk and the concierge had NO idea who SUNWING was!! We used our sunwing app to book an excursion. The driver never showed up. We had to use the concierge phone in order to be on hold for an hour before finally speaking with someone. We eventually got picked up, rescheduled our excursion and then at the last minute were charged extra money, in cash in order to complete our trip! That was the first and last time that we will work with SUNWING, who??

Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach: NO COVID protocols were enforced, we contracted covid at this resort, however, beautiful property and great food and service but

We have been very safe all throughout the whole pandemic and had come to believe that the resorts had put into place all things that they could to ensure the safety of their guests, particularly at such a large highly starred property. Not the case here at Pueblo Bonita Sunset!!! Surprisingly, the buffets were open, they were self serve, a la carte restaurants were at full capacity as were the pools and bars and any other spot. Not to mention MOST guests were not wearing masks during any event  [... read more]or on any part of the resort. In fact, there were many, many unvaccinated guests more than happy to share that with you. Personal space and distancing were not respected by other guests at all. Although the resort had posted signs regarding masking and distancing and the employees were mostly masked, these "rules" were not monitored and there was not one bit of enforcement of these protocols. We became quite overwhelmed by the lack of concern and were not able to fully enjoy our vacation as a result. In fact, we arrived home with symptoms and on day 3 of being home and isolating, we have all TESTED POSITIVE for COVID 19 as a result of staying at this resort.

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Despite some awesome staff & scenery I’ll never go again.

The Preferred Room “looked great” the house keeping staff didn’t clean our room one out of the three days we stayed despite us asking them twice. My gold chain went missing at the spa, I was charged for a dinner they couldn’t accommodate, the pool was not heated and the food was sub par for a 5 star resort. I will not go back to this resort even if it’s half the price.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Superbly high standards

The resort exceeded our expectations on many levels; the service was exceptional, with bartenders and waiters who were willing to accommodate all our needs -- we saw amazing shows, from traditional Mexican music to the Nutcracker ballet -- to facilities and conveniences that we didn't even expect, like free catamaran sailing, champagne cocktails, incredible steakhouse and seafood meals, and more. Hotel Xcaret Mexico: Awesome resort

The grounds at this resort were really breathtaking. Suspended bridges, beautiful fauna, aqua color water. Food ok, service ok but found there is a language barrier. The restaurants were a unique experience . I highly recommend them.

Crown Paradise Golden: Very nice resort

Check in was a breeze. Once checked in finding your way around was easy as it is a small resort. Our room was on the ground floor directly on the beach and was cleaned very well daily. Buffet was average for the most part. Restaurants were very good. Covid precautions were masks if in buffet or ordering food. A glove for serving yourself at the buffet. Service was great overall as they want you to touch as few things as possible. The beach is very good. A little rough on occasion but not too mu [... read more]ch. The best part of the resort was the Sky Pool bar. Beautiful views and great atmosphere. You can see whales from the beach and we witnessed sea turtles hatching one day as well. We went to the hospital across the street from the resort to do our PCR covid test and had the results promptly within 24 hours. Overall a very good experience.

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Loved the resort!! Spectacular!!

The resort was perfect! Beautiful rooms, lovely swim up pool. Amenities and service were excellent! Only drawback was that the buffet closed at 6 pm. Super clean didn’t feel concerned at all about Covid. Lovely pools and lots of spots to enjoy the beach. Would definitely go back!

Grand Marival Emotions Resort and Suites: Resort fine but I'd go somewhere else next time.

We have been to a lot of all inclusives...this one had pluses and minuses. Pluses: It was super clean. Rooms were great. (We stayed in a resort room top floor, partial ocean view). Location is great. Beach is wonderful. Lots of pool chairs and umbrellas. Staff are kind and very accommodating. Minuses: First of all, we were in Mexico and there was NO guacamole in this resort. Not one day. Not even on Mexican fiesta night. Come on. That's just wrong. I will not return for that alone. Second, [... read more] probably due to Covid restrictions, the food menu was very limited compared to other resorts we have been to. Not a lot of options. A lot of time the food was cold...often glacial. Also, there was never any bacon out for breakfast...but if you asked you could get it, but nowhere does it say "ask"...if you didn't know you'd just never have it. (I asked for guac lots of times...never any)...Also there was never any pico de gallo out. You could also ask for it and it would appear from out the back. Shouldn't nacho chips and salsas and guac just be a standard thing? Third, this resort has a time share - no wait, it's called something else - but essentially they try to sell you. Members get special benefits. This annoyed me. Also I was annoyed that there were members only benefits mixed in with areas that were for non-members making non-members feel like second class citizens...which is probably the point, but not something you want to have to live with while on vacation.

Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya: Great resort and staff and food!

The resort was great! Was at full capacity at holiday time. It was busy, staff all were safe and followed mask protocols. Place was clean and well staffed. Tough at times to make reservations for shows and dinners, they were generally full by the time we wanted to book. Service was great everywhere!

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Great Resort

We have stayed here many times and love the resort!! Things were definitely not 100% but the resort was not full so a much quieter experience , social distancing was in effect in the restaurants, lobby, bars etc. Masks worn indoors but not needed out side. Lots of sanitizing stations and patron tracking by room number was done, as well as all staff wearing masks. Buffet was definitely smaller with fewer choices but was really nicely done , my only bad point would be no toasters in the morning bu [... read more]ffet so no toast with your bacon and eggs and some condiments were scarce but if you asked they tried to get you what you wanted by the end of our week occupation was up and the buffet seemed to expand as more people were there. We will be back again love this location as it is close to the dive shop we use.

Catalonia Riviera Maya: Very disappointing Resort, I would not recommend.

Dec 21-29th-First rooms: 1108 &1110- there was no air conditioning and hot water at all first night. Rooms were VERY run down, like a cheap motel.Next morning switched rooms to 126 and 228, near parking lot. Doors were scratched up and beaten up, no added security latch on door. Every night people were swearing and banging on doors, waking guests up. Couldn't get reservations for a single A la Carte until our 6th night, the young man who made bookings was VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL TO ALL GU [... read more]ESTS who requested an la carte. Grounds were clean, buffet was basic. This was a very disappointing Resort and I strongly advise Trip Central and Air Transat to not recommend this resort to anyone

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Great resort

The hotel was clean (5/5), friendly and helpful staff (5/5/) buffet was fantastic and inviting with tasty and verity of selection, meat, fish, veggies and fruit (5/5). my biggest complain was the music and entertainment it was a HUGE Disappointment (0/5). Another low point was the Transat Agent on the site, SHE WAS JUST NASTY

NYX Hotel Cancun: Very nice Hotel

This hotel is great.....the pool, the beach, the foods are EXCELLENT. The room is very clean, the service is super and everyone say Hello with a big smile, they are always happy to see you. It was my second time there and it is still very good !!!!!

Las Brisas Huatulco: Amazing Resort!

This hotel was amazing. The grounds were very nice and clean and the scenery was stunning. The food was also excellent and they have a wide variety of options with various themed restaurants as well. Loved the shows they had almost every night and daily activities. Was an awesome way to take a break and relax with family!
