Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Super resort to go

Shiny clean clean Hotel, Food a 10 for the buffet, Asian restaurant a la carte a 10 ,Italian 4, Mediterania 1, Room 5325 nice view on the ocean 1 matress was sinking in a bit and I told Sunwing rep. Theatre really big and nice set up and shows amazing. Bar well design area . Beach snack bar super good. Every body that works there are nice, joking and laughing. Beach was nice, there are a bit of rock before getting in the water but its not a problem when having shoes. People still can get in easi [... read more]lly without shoes.Having chairs is not a problem whenever you arrive at the beach.Can change towel every day. My fifth time in Cuba and I will return back to Memories Flamanco. Specially because the Buffet food was tasty and lot of variety and I am a fozy person. Go to experience it and you won't be desapointed.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Good resort.

Good food. Grounds were good. Service was Fair to Good. We had numerous technical issues that were not addressed. The facility was very clean. Reception was excellent i.e. no delays, but identified problems were not addressed by technical personnel.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Needs some up-keep

Pool and bar and food staff were great, but the rooms need some TLC as well as some up grades. The beach was good but all the chairs were taken by 8am. Day time Entertainment staff didn't get things going like pool volleyball and any beach games.

Hotel Playa Coco: Beautiful setting and staff were wonderful.

Only unfortunate thing was that the resort was under renovation while we were there. Not able to partake in several of activities noted in tour book. No mini golf, biking, or wine bar. Main food area under renovation and alternate was in a screened in area with numerous flies. One evening at dinner insecticide was being sprayed outside dining area. Cuban people were lovely.

Sol Cayo Coco: Great family resort -awesome staff

We travelled with our two children (4 and 2yrs old) and their Grandparents. We all enjoyed our stay at Sol Cayo Coco. The hotel was very clean. The staff was great! We had a few hiccups but staff was very helpful. The beaches are awesome! All in all, it was a good vacation and great value.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Great beach, poor hotel

Hotel rooms old and tired, doors don't fit tight, letting bugs in at night. No elevators, service not consistent -Sunday, hardly any staff or service, by Wednesday more staff around. Poor food handling. Entertainment was excellent

Hotel Camino del Mar: Love this place

Example: What did you think about  this hotel? (grounds, public areas, rooms, dining, features, etc.) Resort is a little tired, but the staff are great, beach is fabulous and the food is good. Management needs to work on better wine! Wine really bad! However, this did not take away from our trip. Staff amazing. Food good

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Fantastic value!

We were in the 18 block and could not have asked for a more beautiful ocean view! Very quiet and serene with a BEAUTIFUL beach. Our room was spacious, clean, and up-to-date. Many ongoing renovations being done all over the resort grounds but that did not impact our experience at all. Pools were great and most staff were very friendly and approachable.

Melia Jardines del Rey: New resort - All good!

The resort is brand new and half was still under construction as of April 26th. The rooms were nicely appointed and our mini-fridge was re-stocked daily. The food was good and plentiful in the buffet each day. The staff was very friendly as most seemed to be learning their new jobs as well as English. Bring water shoes to enter the water at the beach. The pools were nice and the bartenders will fix you whatever you want.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Not impressed at all

We didn't get out room until after 6pm this was extremely frustrating as we were with out 10 month old baby. Also when we got to our room the maid was still inside cleaning it. We lugged our own suitcases to our room aswell. Bring your own beach towels they never seem to have clean ones. Very little shade by the pool. People leaving towels on chairs for hours to reserve them. Resort/beach was packed. Some nights there was a line up just to get into the buffet. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great Time!

The resort was clean and the staff were very friendly. Was amazed that the Assistant Manager, Lucy, was out and about every day talking to guests, she was very friendly. The opportunity for snorkelling was amazing! Our room had a leak from the A/C unit in the bathroom which needed desperate attention, it was starting to grow mold. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Very Nice Resort

Overall experience was Very Good. Grounds excellent, maid service very good, buffet very good, la cartes good, beach excellent, staff excellent. Had a great vacation. Would return to this resort. Thanks to Kim Hartlen at Trip Central Bedford NS for her recommendation.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: They're working at it!

We went because the cost was reasonable and it was classed as a 4.5 star. He food was good, the Al La Catres were very good. The main buffet was noisy and hygiene was a little subpar. The main buffet had higher end singers, pianists and other musicians for meal times but it was hard to hear over the noise. The service was less than we were usual in Cuba. The club seemed understaffed........ There were a few days when it was excellent but once we had filled out our questionaires the extra people  [... read more]disappeared and everything went back to normal. The beach was very pretty but bring your water shoes as in places the coral is in the shallows. In short, we think in time this place could be great when they finish their upgrading and add some more staff.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Very nice resort

Very nice resort. I went with my husband, 17 & 21yr olds and 21yr olds boyfriend and another family same ages. Rooms- spacious, great view of the ocean, nice setup,Canadian satellite working flat screen tv. Restaurants- great selection at the buffet, good flavour and quality. Asian and Creole were very good. Burger bar burgers are awesome.Snack bar pizza is great but anything else there is not so much. Pools- swim up bar pool is shaded, but seams to attract families with small children at one en [... read more]d and partyers near the bar at the other. Upper pool is quite large, both pools are all one depth. Chairs at the pool are better than thoses at the beach. Get up early to put your towel on a chair or pay one of the pool/beach guys to reserve for you. Beach- isn't very wide and there is a lot if coral getting into the water, there is no avoiding it, bring swim shoes, crocs etc. Activities-now this is where I was very disappointed, the board states "ping pong" at 11:00 , well the ping pong table was broken, aerobics, stretching never happened and the basketball was apparently "broken", shuffle board, boci ball areas were being painted. Not a whole lot else there for 2 17yr old boys to do, too young to drink with the 21yr olds and too old to hang with the adults at the pool or beach. Location-there is no town close by to walk to, there is a bus you can take to Pilar beach where you can have lunch and hang out on a coral free beach. If you don't like locals bugging you to buy stuff on the beach, this is the place for you, there are none at all, if you want souvenirs you have to pay big bucks at the hotel store. I like to be closer to a town to experience the local culture. Our money didn't go as far as we'd like at a rate of 1.36 it got very expensive leaving $1 tips and excursions listed as $95cuc end up costing $130can They could use ceiling fans in lobby, restaurants and bars to move air, it was 35+ when we were there and the boys room had broken AC which never got fixed. It was a relaxing vacation, but wouldn't return to Cayo Coco

Hotel Playa Paraiso: AMAZING WEEK!

Travelled with my boyfriend April 18-25th, 2015. Staff was awesome and so nice! We spent 85% of our time in the pool and ocean. Such a beautiful beach. The food was different, but it was fine for the week. We just ate what we recognized. Entertainment was good. They had nightly shows and beach parties. Activities and entertainment by the pool and beach during the day too. You could always find a chair at the pool or beach. My only complaint would be that people would leave there stuff under the  [... read more]cabanas by the beach all day and night! Staff should remove the stuff left behind after 6pm, considering there are signs everywhere to not leave anything overnight. Definitely would return :)

Hotel Mojito: Fantastic time

My husband and I just returned from our 6th visit at the Mojito. As usual, the staff was terrific, always smiling and ready to please. Our room was perfect, as it had been newly decorated. The food and service was just great. We enjoyed the beautiful beach everyday. I would like to mention, one morning we couldn't find a spot in the shade and just as we were to give up, the guys that get the lounge chairs graciously gave us their spot. Thanks again! Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Very average

The good things about this resort was their attempt at giving very good customer service. Staff was always working hard at keeping the resort clean and our room also was always very well taken care of. We had an ocean view which did not disappoint. Also, we very much appreciated the orientation session that was held the day after out arrival. The not so good... except for one day, our water pressure was very poor and hot water was non existent for over half our stay. As regards the a la carte restaurants, very little effort was made to provide an experience that matched the orientation of the restaurants; i.e. an "asian" experience for the asian restaurant (as compared to other resorts we have been to. We would give this resort 3.5 stars at most.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Great Vacation

Comfortable rooms, amazing pool area, convenient beach access. Decent service for the most part; one bad experience in one of the snack bars where after 1/2 hour of waiting, all we got were menus. We left. Very nice having a 15 minute shuttle ride between the resort and the airport!

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Very clean and modern up to date resort

Rooms very spacious, bathrooms amazing (Nice soaker tub), good water pressure with hot water always, grounds very clean and well kept, pool very clean and spacious, our rooms in section 1100 very close to beach, pool, lobby and restaurants, huge variety of food choices, beaches very clean and spacious, I have been to Cuba on many occasions and I must say, this was by far the best resort I have stayed at, I recommend 100% and will be returning in the near future

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Nice resort but bad service !!

Very good entertainment team ! Nice beach and water but the sand full of flies. Nice room and room service but buffet and a la carte restaurants very poor service ! is too bad because the area is very nice but not enough attention to the clients and their needs.
