Secrets Huatulco: We had some concerns about this lovely place

Secrets at Huatulco is a spectacular hotel with a beautiful beach and surrounding scenery. Every room has an ocean view. The staff are all attentive and friendly, and mostly took good care with covid safety protocols. No complaints there. The meals were mostly good and we sampled most of the different restaurants offered. They took particular care to cater to one of us who has a serious food allergy. La [... read more]rge gatherings of people were allowed to take place in an area of the hotel where EVERYBODY had to pass in order to reach their rooms or the eating areas. There was no choice but to run the gauntlet amongst large numbers of maskless revellers, and if those events did not result in the transmission of the virus we would be most surprised. Until management wakes up to this risk, or this health emergency subsides, we would not recommend anyone who is concerned about their health to go to this hotel. Pity, because it was otherwise a very pleasant experience.

Cozumel Palace: Wonderful and Attentive Staff!

We recently stayed at the Cozumel Palace and overall had a pleasant stay. While it is not of the same caliber as the Playacar Palace, the Staff were very helpful and attentive. We prefer Adults only accommodations and would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday. It became increasingly busy, more than likely due to it being Christmas, but the noise in the hallways and in the hotel became an issue for us. Finally, we were not overly thrilled or impressed with sales pressure to buy into the resort. It was nice to be away, and if you are looking for a small family friendly resort than this is a resort for you.

Las Palmas by the Sea: disappointed with trip

the food was awful. breakfast was always edible in the past, but every time we had it ,we had egg shells in our omlet. theey ran out of beer,except for dark beer ,which for us was undrinkable.we were then forced to buy our own beer every day at a cost of 400 to 500 pesos per day. on top this we had to eat off the resort at additional cost. We were not allowed to have cooler at the pool area. but when the mexican tourists came .they were allowed to have coolers by the pool.The Air Transat rep.  [... read more]was absolutley useless to us. I have been to this resort over 20years . the staff did the best they could to help us out ,but the resort did nothing. After spending 10,000 Can. dollars for myself and family , for this vacation I am completely disappointed air transat.

Krystal Grand Los Cabos: Beautiful locale

We had a group of eight go down for my daughter’s champagne birthday. The facilities were beautiful! The staff was very friendly and the resort was quite clean. Only issues were the buffet was very hit or miss and my swim up room ended up having a leaky ceiling in the bathroom due to the guests upstairs. The a la carte restaurants were not always open and seemed to have portioning/ supply issues some days. Krystal Grand Cancun: Loved it

Over all the stay was an 8/10 I had some issue with the cleaning and staff. Check in wasn’t ready 2:30 in the afternoon we waited 30 mins and our room still wasn’t ready so we got placed on another floor. Wasn’t a big fan of the buffet option neither breakfast, lunch, and dinner. But the restaurant there were alright not a lot of options but some. The pool area was amazing loved was there everyday. The beach needs more chairs by 9 am there was never any chairs, but be sides that the beach was beautiful. House cleaning was a little difficult because they didn’t understand what we were asking for and never got done till like 3-4 in the afternoon. The shower head did have mold on the rim part. Over they did a good job on cleaning our room. There were activities but for kids they need more adult events I loved the Hotel overall

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Terrible experience with resort food!

Our 3-year-old daughter contracted salmonella on the day three of our trip and got very ill. We suspect it was by eating apples and pears at the buffet or the beach. The staff at the front desk were not friendly when we needed them the most and overall our experience wasn’t the best.

Las Brisas Huatulco: Fun in the Sun

It was a beautiful resort. Located on the outskirts. Big with a trolley to your room. Very friendly and accommodating. They were very cautions in all aspects. Masks are worn at all times, except at the table to eat and at the pool/beach. Friendly reminders to wear your mask too. Hand sanitizer everywhere. The WestJet Rep Hullio was AMAZING!!! Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Bucerias Royal Decameron

Large property. Nice beach. Silty ocean, not clear like Yucatan. Good facilities and rooms. Several decades old, pretty good maintenance. Very good staff. Beautiful sunsets. Many pools, inc. quiet one.

Riu Santa Fe: Amazing Resort

Really enjoyed this resort. VERY clean and well maintained. Staff very courteous and helpful! Special shout out to Edna at the front desk! She was exceptional! Food was diversified and mostly very good! Great shows, for kids as well! Will definitely go there again.

Secrets Huatulco: Beautiful resort

Secrets was fantastic. We had a swim up room which was well used as average temperatures were in the 30’s. Food and service exceptional. Spa to die for with a great view of the ocean. Well worth the money spent.

El Dorado Seaside Palms: Great rest and relaxation resort!

We spent a week (Dec 14 - 21) at the El Dorado Seaside Palms for some R&R and escape from life. This resort is a great place for doing just that with an amazing beach and tall palm trees throughout the resort. The resort does a great job making their resort feel like a magical place. The staff were incredibly thoughtful, friendly and helpful towards our needs and requests. Staff followed covid protocols and we never felt unsafe from the staff. We were able to book our return covid test at c [... read more]heck in, and did not have to worry about anything as they communicated reminders through email. The food was amazing and we would like to especially highlight the food at La Carretta, which was absolutely amazing and represents the flavours of Mexico especially well. The tacos, stuffed peppers and mole dishes are a must eat, and be sure to have some churros and flavoured coffee to end your meal. The beach BBQ was a great place to have breakfast and lunch, as there is nothing better than eating on the beach! There weren't many negatives to our stay, however we need to mention a few things so future guests are aware of what to expect. First, upon entering the ocean from the beach area, there are many rocks and corals in the sand, so be careful when walking around in the water. Second, the room decor in our suite was from the late 90's and felt a bit dated, though this should was fine as we did not spend our time hanging out in the room apart from the end of the day. And lastly, when walking around the resort, the mangrove forest areas towards the back of the premium suites can have pretty strong smell from the stagnant water. This resort was an absolute dream and perfect for those looking for a quiet retreat from the ordinary. Enjoy some lime margaritas on the beach while suntanning. Sit on the swings over the water or spend the day on the bali beds (get there early to get one!) while drinking cheladas. Or lay on a hammock with a book watching the sunset. This resort is truly a hidden gem.

Riu Palace Las Americas: Excellent customer service

This is our second stay at this resort, the first in normal times and the second recently. The staff go above and beyond with customer service, so staying here was an absolute pleasure once again! Thank you so much Riu Las Americas!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Fantastic resort!

We loved our stay here. The staff and service were wonderful. Lots of things to do...or not and the food was fantastic. Resort is well maintained and the staff work extremely hard. Very pleasurable experience...even better the second time around!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Loved it!

First time we’ve been to a resort, first time in Riviera Maya, and we loved it. The resort is incredible, the service is amazing and our experience was so fantastic. I would definitely return to this area.

Moon Palace The Grand Cancun: Overall Very Good

We had a group of 11 people at this resort from December 11-18. Overall this is a great resort with friendly staff, well-kept grounds, good food and no issues getting a lounge chair around the pool (which was a nice change). The waterpark is fantastic for kids of many different ages as well as adults. A few challenges include the app which did not really work and made it challenging to book restaurants. The sand on the beach is lovely but there are lots of weeds so swimming in the ocean it’ [... read more]s not really practical. Lastly, the atmosphere around the pools was disappointing. There was elevator music which became a little annoying after a while. Our solution was to walk to the sister resort next-door which had much more atmosphere and there’s a bunch better place to spend the day around the pool. They had great lunch specials that appeared right at the pool, which was really convenient. My biggest complaint was the pushiness of the sales staff trying to sell timeshares. We would receive phone calls at 8:30 (waking us up) each morning asking us to come to the front desk to pick up our package, which was just an excuse for us to meet with the sales team. Eventually I unplugged the phone because the calls were so annoying.

Royalton CHIC Cancun: Great resort!

Overall we gave this an 8/10. The staff were fantastic and customer service was excellent! Our room was beautiful and even though we didn’t overlook the ocean, the city view and view of the lagoon is gorgeous, especially at night. The Covid measurements in place are excellent: temperature testing at each restaurant, sanitizer everywhere, distancing measures in place, and staff wear buttons to let guests know they are vaccinated. Service at all restaurants was amazing and service at the pool was top notch, and we didn’t upgrade to the Diamond Club as we don’t see the benefit really. We did not visit the 18th floor pool, as there was no need to; the beach was beautiful and pools were great! Never a time we didn’t have a chair and they never tan out of towels like a lot of places do. Overall great stay, only real downside is that it is a high rise and the elevator situation can be slow and painful….otherwise would recommend it!

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Not the resort t once was

The grounds are beautiful and pools are great but the service has gone downhill as well as the food. The concierge are more concerned about getting you to take a tour to purchase then doing their jobs. Several people complained about getting flu like symptoms either from the food or just going around the resort. Rooms are not cleaned everyday and you have to call the desk for towels if your room was missed. Just a disappointment from the previous times at this resort. Krystal Grand Los Cabos: Good value

The hotel is a nice mid range hotel. The staff is efficient and polite, but not overly friendly. The friendliness may be a result of the required masking, making interaction more complicated. The ground and common area is very nice. The pool area is expansive with a shade cover over part of the seating area. The only concern is the upholstery in the common area are badly stained and in need cleaning or replacement. The rooms are very nice and clean, with comfortable beds. Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: beautiful resort

Fabulous resort with exceptional service Stayed in the Jr Penthouse Suite - AMAZING! Good choice of foods at the buffet restaurant Always had available clean towels & lounge chairs at the beach/pool. My husband and I will definitely return

Barcelo Huatulco: Needs updating

The restaurants are to small and there is only 2 pools that are poorly maintained otherwise great resort very clean They are doing a great job with Covid mask are worn by all staff all the time Felt very comfortable and safe
