Melia Buenavista: Loved Melia Buenavista
We really enjoyed our stay at the Mesia Buenavista. I liked that it was an adults only smaller hotel. The hotel was not at full capacity so we felt like we had our own private beach...our own private pool. It was wonderful. Our room was one of the best we have stayed in....very large and comfortable. It also had an outdoor shower. The butler service was a nice touch, however, we didn't use it very much. We found the food to be good...not great...but everyone has differing opinions on the food. Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Great Resort!!!!
Had some missgivings about going to Cuba... We had a great time! From the airport pick up to the welcome at the resort, all was great. The wait staff was fantastic, the rooms were clean and well appointed. We WILL be back!
Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Very nice resort
I have a lovely time on this resort, the beach was wonderful and beach snack bar and drinks were really good,. Also loved that there were old taxies that would take you to the market to see the beautiful handy crafts made bye the locals, no pressure sale like DR.
Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Lovely stay at Playa Cayo
Loved the beach .....not too crowded. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Tennis courts are great and we played daily at 7:30 am to beat the heat! The food was plentiful and for Cuba really quite good. Personally i do not love buffet style as find the food not hot etc. so gladdened to see cooking stations where you can pick something done in front of you. Need to i prove on toasters however as line up for one that worked a pain!
Melia Buenavista: My favourite resort in Cuba.
Beautiful resort. Very intimate. The service was second to none. We had 2 butlers that looked after us night and day. It was refreshing not to have to wait in line to book things. They came to you wether you were by the pool or having a latte on the deck and booked your dinner times or excursions. Nice to be spoiled. Our friends at the pool bar were the best, you never wanted for anything at all. Your drinks were brought to you and they would get your lunch from the restaurant and bring it pools [... read more]
Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Good for the price
This resort was good for the price we paid to visit ($1k incl taxes per person). However, the food is definitely not great. We did not get sick but the selection was poor and sometimes it was hard to find things to eat....we do not consider ourselves to be picky either. The service was also not great and unlike other places I have been to (i.e. Mexico), it doesn't matter how much you tip, the service never changes. Drinks were ok, not a huge selection. Pools were great and we were always right o [... read more]
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Melia Cayo Santa Maria Cuba
Booked this hotel upon recommendation of our trip central assistant Jen. The hotel was great: delicious drinks, lots of food options, beautiful beach, friendly staff, great shows every night and clean rooms. The only down side was the long bus ride to the resort. Overall a great trip.
Melia Las Dunas: Incredible resort
I thoroughly enjoyed my recent visit to the melia las dunas in April. The rooms were very clean. The beach was all white beautiful sand. Great food that was on par with other places in Cuba. My daughter requires a wheel chair. Las dunas was completely accessible. We were very pleased with this. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We enjoyed the the hot weather and the pool was immaculate. Would definetly go there again !!
Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Playa Santa Maria
Loved this resort ,we had a room over looking one of the pools great bar service. And there was a sandwich bar by the bar. Food not bad Cuba , but there where long line ups. Ice cream bars yum and there was a beer garden . I think they even carried nonalcoholic beer. Would go back
Melia Las Dunas: amazing resort
The hotel lobby and grounds are just gorgeous. The bars are tremendous. The staff are unfailingly kind and courteous, always willing to help Anne are so friendly. The food is tolerable, breakfast was pretty good....You have to wake up early to get good bacon because people take so much on their plates. The pool is awesome.
Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Fantastic resort
The resort had a gorgeous beach. We spend most of our time at the beach instead of the pool because we prefer the calmnesscas opposed to activity. The restaurants were delicious. The buffet food in the trays was cold at times but I would always get the staff to grill me some seafood or meat at the grilling stations. Lunch by the beach is the way to go.
Melia Las Dunas: Meh
It was alright. There were only a few staff that made you feel very welcomed. The rest of the staff was just there kinda putting in their time. The most welcoming people were the gardeners and then a select few of the wait staff. The beach is beautiful
Melia Las Dunas: Very nice, clean and comfortable
Long ride to and from airport but on the way to hotel, tour guide was very informative and descriptive also stopped on causeway so we could take pictures, very nice. Hotel was enjoyable, entertainment could have been stepped up for sure and food was just fair. On the way back to airport, very long as for some reason bus stopped in little community so passengers could use restroom...initially no one needed restrooms. However, on the way to this village there was major road work and after several [... read more]
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Nice Resort
You can never go wrong with a Melia resort. Very clean. Good food. Well maintained resort. The beaches in Cuba are absolutely beautiful. This is our 2nd time to a Melia resort in Santa Maria. We loved our vacation both times. You can relax with a good book or get involved in the many pool and beach games. Good times !
Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Fantastic Resort
Resort stay was amazing! I had the time of my life. Check in was a very smooth process. The resort layout was a little confusing at first, but with a little exploration we managed to discover the location of all restaurants, the spa and other buildings. The staff here are absolutely phenomenal and friendly and fun. A fantastic group of people. The a la carte were great!! However, our favourite was the Italian and least favourite was the Romantica, to note. Buffet was poor... I've been to Cuba s [... read more]

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: MOST FAB RESORT EVER!!
I have nothing but positive things to say about this resort. I don't want to write alot because it breaks my heart to think it about the fun I had there. All i have to say is I WOULD GO BACK RIGHT NOW IF I COULD. It's modern, clean (and I'm the pickiest person ever), the staff was amazing, the beaches..omg! Beautiful!! Only thing is if you are going for the food, look elsewhere. It's not the best, but because I'm not picky with food, it was fine for me!! I would recommend this resort in a heartb [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: Melia Las Dunas
First off Trip Central has always been a pleasant experience with attention to detail in every way. Melia Las Dunas is great! Very consistent with excellent service, food and hospitality. They have a passion to please, just like Trip Central! You can stroll on the fabulous beaches for miles. Have been Seven times and will return. Thank You all :)
Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Pleasantly surprised
This is a Cuban run hotel, so we weren't sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and service. Clean, good service, good food, overall nice place. Beach is hard to beat. The Cayo in general is a bit isolated, so it depends on what you're looking for. If you want a nice hotel with a good price/quality ratio, chances are you'll be pleased. Super gym. Love the ice cream bar...
Melia Las Dunas: Wonderful time at Melia Las Dunas!
This is the best resort we have been to in Cuba. Cayo Santa Maria was the most beautiful beach we have ever seen - beautiful clear turquoise water and soft sand. There were two huge pools - one was an activity pool with music, dance lessons, aquafitness and separate shallow children's pool - the other was a quiet pool where you could relax and read. Both of course had swim up bars and servers who walked around and brought us drinks to where we were lounging. The grounds were beautifully kept and [... read more]
