Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Amazing vacation

Great getaway. We had a fantastic time in the sun and pool. The food was wonderful and the staff was as well. The hotel was about an hour away from the airport and it was a bit of a long trek to the hotel.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Perfect Winter Getaway!

The Luxury Bahia Principe Esmeralda was the perfect resort to go relax and be catered too. We had a great time. The rooms we had were just as we had requested, clean and comfortable. The resort was manicured beautifully and the staff were second to none. I would definitely recommend this resort and plan on a future visit!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Everything about this resort is 1st class

Buildings, grounds, food and the staff are superb. Our room was very central to the beach and restaurants. Buffet breakfast and dinner at the Ambar 2 were well prepared and the variety was fantastic. We love the beach and the long walks that you could take.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Fantastic Week

Wonderful stay this past week at the Esmeralda. Accommodations, food, service and weather were all top notch. The resort was much quieter and more relaxing than the adjacent Bahia Principe resorts and was very much geared towards a family experience.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great resort

Lovely modern rooms and staff fairly accomodating regarding special requests. Amazing food with plenty of availability day and night. We found the staff at the pool restaurant somewhat rude however that was only 2 of many staff! The grounds are well maintained. It's a quaint atmosphere and if you are there for "the party", its only a short shuttle to the ocean front resorts. It was disappointing to see a hotel of this stature having "the towel game" played in order to gain a pool side seat! Many [... read more] chairs sat for hours unoccupied. Bad on the guests but would be nice to see the hotel correct this! This is one of the few resorts we would consider revisiting over our years of travels!

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: great vacation spot

Great resort with the best food we have had in all southern vacations. The grounds, pool, rooms are kept immaculately clean, the atmosphere is relaxed, efficient and well staffed. The beach was lovely, although the ocean was quite "rough" in this area. We always found pool or beach side chairs, which was a pleasant change from many resorts. The resort is very large, so be prepared for the exercise. We loved it. A few minor irritations: provide the basic room amenities expected in a 4 star - a co [... read more]ffee maker and room safe should not be offered as a "rental" item - that's just "cheesey". A chain of this size should not gouge quests by adding 15% to currency exchange. Do not take Canadian cash - US cash only, bring small denominations for tipping, as the front desk gives only 100 peso bills - very annoying. Excursions are very overpriced for the quality received. If your are a early riser, a decent coffee can't be found. The lobby coffee "machine" malfunctioned or needed service 5 out of 7 days. Very annoying to those who were bussing out at 6:00 am. Great place, incredible buffet food, wonderful staff.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Excellent Resort!!

Ver clean resort right by the beach. This is a small resort so you are close to everything. It is part of 4 other resorts that you can access for those that like bigger resorts. Beach is awesome. Service is excellent. Food is fantastik. Must try the new Brazilian restaurant!! Would definitely return to this resort.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Beautiful location

You can't go wrong with Bahia properties, nice friendly staff, good food,clean rooms,large pools, nice clean beach,yes the property is huge but there is never any lineups or long waits. I will defiantly be returning here.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great Resort!

Beautiful resort. Food was great, both at buffet and restaurants.Staff was friendly and helpful for the most part. Excursions were well planned. Would definitely return to coba, or one of the sister resorts that we also visited.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Top Notch Resort

The Bahia Principe Ambar is a great resort, we really enjoyed our 10 day stay in February 2016. This was our second visit to Bahia Principe, it's a huge complex with lots to do, good entertainment and shopping on site. The food was fantastic, lots of choice in type of food and restaurants, beach-side, near the lobbies and pools. The grounds and beach are immaculate and rooms well kept. The staff were all very helpful and truly seemed to enjoy interacting with guests. It was a few hundred dollars [... read more] more to go adult only, but was a quieter vacation and we liked that both at our pool and in the adult restaurants. We also visited the 4 sister resorts in the complex where children are allowed and while noisier, it was still nice everywhere we went :-) The only minor complaint we had is that to get a lounge at the pool or beach in the morning you had to get up really early and go out and put your towel down. We didn't do that, just took our chances and most times we got 2 lounges together after about a 15 minute search but we did find it annoying to see that some people left their stuff reserving lounges and didn't even sit on them until the afternoon which denied those lounges to someone else. We've been to over 20 Caribean resorts and this one is among the top resorts. We will definitely go back here again and will consider other Bahia Principe hotels as well.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: A Great Holiday Destination

We absolutely loved this resort and would go back in a heartbeat. It was beautiful in all aspects. It was clean and we experienced no issues with things not working in our room. The food was great and the beach was amazing. Its layout was easy to navigate and everything was close. Service was perfect.n

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Gorgeous, clean, and friendly

Staff was helpful. Rooms were clean. Food was great. Shuttle was convenient. Nothing unexpected. Excursion options were great. Animals and climate was great. Although, akumal seems better suited towards couples. If you are single you should stay at tulum or closer to playa del Carmen.

BEAUTIFUL GROUNDS, CLEAN POOLS , GREAT FOOD , FRIENDLY STAFF. Beds and pillows were too hard.Difficulty booking a la carte restaurants but buffet food was very good.Drinks were very good and bartenders were a eager to suggest a drink if you were unsure of what you would like .

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Really nice vacation

Clean room, good food, friendly staff, amazing beach, nice pools, great music and show all around. Very much enjoyed my time there. A few things that could use improvements: Not enough beach chairs with shades so we went early in the morning to reserve them with towels everyday. There is a construction next door, our room was overlooking the construction site which was annoying at first since I requested "quiet room". We didn't bother changing room since we rarely spent time in the room during t [... read more]he day. We were on vacation with family and their room amenities had some issues (fridge and safe didn't work). You can request to have your room moved, it takes some time so that's not ideal. Our room had the shower head fall off so we had to get that fixed. Excursions: we booked horseback riding which was fantastic. But, the transportation there and back was not fun time. Open back of a diesel truck so you're breathing the smell the whole time. yuk Our resort was the first pick up spot and last drop off. Ask the travel agent about transportation if you're sensitive about air/smell. Make sure to make al la carte reservations ASAP, they fill up quick. Go to evening shows in theatre which were very entertaining. They also have kids shows.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Loved it!

We had a fabulous vacation at Ambar from March 7-13. Rooms and grounds were immaculate. Beautiful scenery. Excellent service and delicious food! Only complaint is lack of lounge chairs at pool and beach unless you get up at 5 am to go "reserve" one by putting a towel on it.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Perfect Vacation!!

Small, quiet and relaxing!! It was exactly what we were looking for. Great food, excellent service and spacious rooms overlooking the ocean. A la carte restaurants and buffet offered delicious food!! Entertainment was limited but good enough for us.

Everything was great, just hope there were more pool organized activities for kids and adults alike. Otherwise it was perfect. Very clean beach, lots of sitting areas. Did not like the forced sales pitch at the resort.

The resort is beautiful, the food is great...al la cartes great... cleaning all the time, public bathrooms spotless. The beach was red flagged every day so didnt spend much time there but it was beautiful. Pool was amazing though. Had a great time :-)
