Paradisus Rio De Oro: Fabulous
We just returned from a week at this resort. This was a great resort with very friendly staff. The food was fantastic. Our room was newly renovated. The only thing that was a disappointment was there was no door on the washroom.
Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Great resort, beach was beautiful. Staff friendly.
Rooms were spacious, Big resort ,lots of walking. Beautiful well kept grounds Junior the train driver was helpful. Lounge staff was terrific. A la carte selection was very good. Buffets were ok. Can not wait to go bac.
Melia Las Dunas: Excelllent resort!
Excellent experience. Very fast check in, and help was available on very corner. Great food variety, and a very rich entertainement program. Great room service, the fridge was alwasy fully stocked, aaand AMAZING beach!!
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Very good resort, wonderfull time
We were at The Sol Rio Luna y Mares for the 7th time and we will return again. The beach is wonderfull, Palapas and trees for every one. They had new chairs this year: more confortable. What we like the most is to take breakfast, lunch and supper outside. Rooms are ok and clean. The only thing we regret is that there was less restaurants a la carte, so we had only one supper a la carte, because the otherones were full. Stayed at the Mares, but we will ask for the Luna next year because of the no [... read more]
Sol Varadero Beach: Great value
Pleasantly surprised. Great value. Good service, rooms and location. Friendly staff, okay food, awesome beach. Wonderful bbq lunch with entertainment. Same sun, water and beach for others who pay more. No surprises. Embraced the difference and had a goodl time.
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Beautiful
We Have beento Cuba eight times four at other locations and the last four at Melia Cayo Santa Maria This by far is our favourite place we have stayed The new general manager was great he went around everyone and introduced himself
Melia Marina Varadero: Great spot, staff need sensitivity training
Unfair treatment to guests that are not all inclusive. All guests should check in and be made to feel welcome at the main hotel. Not be made to feel, second class. A welcome drink to all guests. Better organization for shuttling guests in golf carts.
Melia Jardines del Rey: First class resort
We were very happy at this hotel. We needed some medical assistance and we were very pleased with the medical care we received. The service is excellent, the food at the buffet was really good and the Cuban people couldn't be nicer.
Melia Peninsula Varadero: Very good resort
Hotel was nice, clean rooms. Buffet restaurant needs netting on patio way to many flies. L'carte restaurants were very good. Beach was excellent, lots of loungers and umbrella. Night life could have been better, more bars open after 11pm.
Starfish Cayo Largo: Our little paradise! Amazing relaxing resort!
This is our second time at the Sol Pelicano and everything was wonderful...the only thing that we would have wanted to change is to have the gym area moved back but overall, wonderful grounds, people, food and atmosphere!
Hotel Camino del Mar: Mature resort
Mature resort that needs some refreshing with paint and public washrooms need to be updated and kept maintained with the basics of soap, paper towels and toilet paper. She is a grand lady . The beach is amazing and the staff work very hard. "Melia" needs to spend some money on this resort and not just focus on building new ones so they will keep the clients coming.
Zel Cozumel: Fantastic Resort
We loved this place. The grounds are nicely kept and it was very clean. The beach was quiet and the drinks were cold. Just the way we like it! The nightly entertainment was fantastic, especially the Mayan Reciew. We so enjoyed William aka "Batman" from activation! We will return.
Tryp Cayo Coco: great time
This is r second time at tryp and we will be going back again next year. The food was great the weather was the best and overall we had the most relaxing holiday. We could have anticipated. The staff was aussem Ricardo at the small pool bar was the best. Can,t wait to go again.
Melia Peninsula Varadero: Great first family vacation
the grounds were well maintained, restaurant staff can be trained a bit more to at least make it look authentic they know what they're doing, family activities including pool, table tennis, tennis and soccer court were great for the kids, excellent pool, great beach and enough variety for dining.
Sol Cayo Santa Maria: good small quiet resort
This hotel was a nice small size, good for family with younger children. It needs some updating, but the rooms were clean. The buffet restaurant needs updating very dark and gloomy feel. Add some nice colour to it and table clothes would help. Plus a good cleaning. Its was not appetiting to see dirt on the Handel's of the juice containers. This tells me the lids never get a good scrubbing. The food was ok for Cuban standards, we could always find something to eat. More English speaking waiters a [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: Would not go back
Food was bad, service was really bad, nice beach but so does every resort in Cuba.... Stay away. I had to ask 7 different people for an extra bottle of water, the front desk people were rude and unhelpful, no one ever answered the helpline of dinner reservation lines, could not get clean towels or sheets most days.... Etc. I have been to Cuba 7 times and this was by far the worst resort!!!!
Melia Marina Varadero: Great resort and awesome staff!
The resort was very clean and well-maintained. The staff was very prompt and polite and courteous. The food was surprisingly good despite my friends warning me that food wasn't the best in Cuba. Quiet section of the beach was perfect for relaxing while offering the catarmaran and snorkelling tours!
Melia Marina Varadero: Beautiful Varadero Beach!
Newest resort in Varadero with clean modern rooms. Good buffet selection and a la carte restaurants. Enjoyed the evening entertainment - they work really hard and are so talented! Best part was Varadero Beach which is just stunning. Crystal blue warm waters! Be sure to take a catamaran ride and go snorkeling with Arturo!
Melia Las Dunas: Lovely Resort
We stayed at Melia La Dunas from March 29th until April 5th and would rate this resort overall between a 4.5 and 5 stars! I have previously stayed at Starfish (known as Barcelo at the time) in Cayo Santa Maria and another resort in Varadero years ago. As well, I've visited Mexico and Dominican Republic. The highlights of Melia La Dunas were the A La Carte restaurants, especially the Italian and Romantica which we found to be better quality even than the Bahia Principe in Mayan Riviera, Mexico.
