Sensatori Resort Punta Cana: Great Vacation!

This was our second trip this year to the Sensatori - obviously we like the resort seeing we chose it again when we wanted a relaxing week after a busy, stressful summer. The resort is fairly new, around ten years old so still clean and in great shape, modern and very well maintained. You'll never find glasses, garbage or cigarette butts/ash trays lying around. Couldn't have asked for a better location and room. The pools are great, clean, spacious; three swim up bars (1 in the main pool, 1 for the premium swim up room and 1 for the adult swim up rooms). Drinks are always great. Premium alcohol, delicious cocktails, cold water bottles and ice cream machines! Food is great! One of the reasons we love it here. Always something to eat - tons of selection at the buffet, different themes every night. Once a week they have an amazing beach party on the beach where they basically move the main buffet outside - really fun and great selection! Music and shows to boot. We didn't really try any a la carte, either time we visited. We travel with our toddler so reserving a time to eat at a restaurant then ordering and waiting for food defeats the purpose of vacation for us. The only exception is the burger place - no reservation needed and AWESOME burgers. Great menu. The coffee shop is also a fave spot. Great coffee, cappuccinos, lattes, ice coffees, smoothies, etc.... not too mention jars of cookies, and a fridge full of cake and pastries to choose from. Downside to the resort..... the beach..... the water is a bit too rough. Both times we were there we never saw anything but a red flag up on the beach. But the pools help make up for it. Also - strongly suggest doing the Saona Island excursion .... an awesome day on a catamaran on the Caribbean swimming in the turquoise blue waters where they filmed the Blue Lagoon... gorgeous! Great day in then ocean to compensate for the loss of swimming in an ocean at the resort. We also did the Nickolodeon water park this time - the concierge gave us free tickets - and it was fun ... our 2 year old had fun.. met the paw patrol, played in the lazy river and water park..... not so much for adults.. but great for the kids for the day or a half day. Don't book this resort if you hate kids. It's shared with the American Nickolodeon resort... so the are kids everywhere. The resort has adults only sections (restaurant, pool etc) but nonetheless, not an adults only resort.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Great Resort

The grounds and hotel are exceptionally well groomed and maintained. The hotel is very clean and rooms are lovely and very comfortable. The food is excellent in all the restaurant's and service is excellent. All staff are very friendly and go out of their way to assist. Entertainment throughout the day and night is varied and you can either partake or not. Only downfall is the vendors on the beach trying to sell their wares or trying to get you to go on excursions! Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Grand Bahia Principe Punt Cana

This was my second time at this resort. I had been there about seven years ago. They have changed the decor and it was very nice. Most of the time they were very accommodating but when we first arrived we had a long wait to get our rooms. We were in the royal golden which meant we should have had faster check in but we did not. The rooms were nice and close to the beach. I would totally suggest bug spray to be packed as there were a lot of sand flees which I am still itching from. The meals at t [... read more]he restaurants were okay, nothing special. The Le Grill restaurant have a lot of bugs swarming and we asked to be moved. The server was not pleased with our request but when we asked for management they moved us. Overall the weather was great so this helped to make the vacation acceptable. I would say that trip central was very organized with our booking and lots of info. I would use this agency again but I would not return to this resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Absoluely amazing resort

The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Yolisa in the buffet and Albert and Carlos on the pool bar. Rooms were clean, and the butler service offered more than you could use.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Wonderful family holiday!

The resort was everything we’d hoped it would be. The amenities were excellent, the rooms were modern and clean, great choice of pools, yummy food and excellent service. We traveled with a toddler and had a great time. Would definitely visit again!

Excellence El Carmen: Superb Resort experience... our best trip ever!

Firstly this superb holiday experience would not have been possible without the efforts undertaken by our Trip Central travel agent, Ash Faramarzi. It was Ash who ensured that the room selection from the travel carrier was set up properly, aircraft seat selection, insurance package and resort package upgrades were all taken care of. The service experience in this regard was superb... thank you Ash. The resort itself was a step above the rest and we have had many a trip to compare against...  [... read more]this vacation experience has surpassed them all (including our one trip to Sandals Jamaica). It is fair to note we had a superior room selection, oceanfront with roof top plunge pool; but the amenities included with the Excellence Club were a great value regardless of room category. Anyone considering this resort will not be disappointed, but it is worth mention that we did see some rooms far in the back that would not be our first choice. That would be the only slight-negative observation; but I am certain anyone in any room will enjoy this resort. Freedom to choose among the various dining choices without the need to make a reservation is a real bonus and our experiences were excellent. We only made use of the buffet once for breakfast on our last morning and even then, the experience was impressive. The concierge service was excellent, we very much enjoyed the special room service breakfast and the romantic evening dinner on the beach they set up for us Dinners on the beach of this sort are offered by many resorts, but this one had only a small number of couples (about 5) spread far enough apart with superior attention to service that it made you feel you were the only ones there. Special mention of the room service is well deserved... you just have to try it to believe it! Certainly not your average hamburger & fries or fruit salad affair. The meal choices and how they were presented may well exceed the sit down restaurant one would experience at any other typical resorts. Would definitely go back to Excellence El Carmen for sure! In fact we are going to try to the new Excellence in Jamaica in 2019. - - Travelled January 2018.

Great atmosphere to relax. Beachside pools. Gourmet meals at four different locations. Waiter service to order meals around pool. Top shelf drinks. Long Beach to walk. Small and intimate setting.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Fabulous resort

Everything was perfect. The staff were excellent! We found all the employees to be professional, helpful and genuinely friendly. The rooms, common areas and grounds were spotless at all times. They went all out for my birthday and made it unbelievably memorable.

Riu Republica: Amazing resort!!!

This resort was absolutely amazing from the food to the entertainment and the staff. I definitely recommend this all inclusive adults only resort. The only one complaint that i have was that our room only was cleaned in the late afternoon. So when coming back to the room after being at the pool or beach for most of the day we didnt have clean towels. Other than that, i was satisfied.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Fabulous resort

The resort was beautiful, clean, safe and lots of fun activities day and night. The restaurants were really good with exceptional service, it was a bonus that reservations did not have to be made at any time

Riu Republica: Can’t wait to go back

This was the best all inclusive I’ve ever been too and I travel a lot. Resort was clean, modern and staff very friendly. Plenty of activities to keep you busy if you want or lots of space to just relax and unwind . Loved the 24 hr sports bar so if you still wanted to stay up after the disco closed you could . Food was excellent and there were many restaurants to choose from so you didn’t eat the same thing day after day. We are already planning on our next trip back . Riu Republica: 5 stars all around!

I travelled here in September and couldn't have had a better vacation. We asked for and recieved a free upgrade to a courtyard view room where we could see the nightly theatre entertainment from our bedroom balcony (the theatre shows end by 11pm so that wasn't a noise disturbance concern for us because we slept around midnight/1am). The nightclub opens at 11pm. It's a small but fun enough place to hangout. The purpose of our trip was to swim, eat good food and relax, so we didn't care to [... read more]o much for the party aspect. However, we did check out the Saturday evening foam party, which was so well done with the music, a very talented saxophonist who played against top 40 instrumentals, and of course, a dance competition that was perhaps a tad inappropriate for some of the more mature crowd (50+) that makes up a large part of this resort's clientele. The food and service was impeccable throughout, minus the Italian restaurant, which served slightly overcooked/dried looking meat. It wasn't a huge issue for us, as we simply hopped over to the excellent buffet and ate there that night. The asian, spanish, and kulinarium east were our favourite specialty restaurants. The indian restaurant appetizers were excellent and the entrees were okay. We didn't get sick, in fact we had no issues with the ice, water or food anywhere on the resort. Everything is kept spotless, which is especially impressive considering this is by the beach and sand could easily and quickly build up. However, the cleaning staff is ever-present and works extremely hard to keep even the pool washrooms spotless. Please tip the wait and cleaning staff generously as they truly deserve it with the backbreaking work they do! The waterslides were a lot of fun but do be careful if you're claustrophobic or scared of steep slides. The party pool had top 40 music and there were at least 4 or 5 much larger pools that were quieter/more relaxation-oriented. We enjoyed relaxing and listening to the top 40 by the party pool, which is generally very tame and nothing crazy. However, on our second last day, a huge group of mature nudists arrived at the resort. These 50 to 60 year old women were topless at the party pool and beach and it was very random and strange for us to see. Even a lot of the men were uncomfortable, especially considering these women weren't young or attractive. We ended up leaving the party pool because it became this strange mature nudist environment, which we weren't prepared for nor interested in being around. This was the only negative but we just moved away from them and it was fine. The resort's guests are mainly couples who are middle- aged/retired or in their late 20s to 30s. If you're a group of singles looking to meet other singles, I'm not sure this is the place to do it. We went simply to relax, enjoy the beach, and eat good food, so this resort met our needs. Overall, I would definitely recommend.

TRS Turquesa: Perfect place to be pampered

Beautiful resort, delicious food and friendly staff. All was perfection. Place was recommended by Jean at trip central and it was the perfect place and vacation for us. Comfy beds, clean rooms. Would go back for sure.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Above Average Resort

Here are the pros and cons of what I thought about the resort: Pros: - The grounds were well kept and maintained. - A nice selection of restaurants, especially the coffee shop. - Security presence on the beach. - Decent entertainment venues during the mornings, afternoons and evenings. - The room was clean. - The staff was very pleasant. Cons: - The beach was full of seaweed and the water was very cloudy and murky. It might be due to the time of the year. - The hair dryer was not  [... read more]working. I informed the concierge and he promised that it would be fixed. I was there for a week and it was never replaced or fixed. - The air conditioner wasn't working well. During the warm evening, I had to turn on the fan in order to compensate for the lack of efficiency from the air conditioner. - The concierge seemed to be only concern about selling me a time-share program. - The room was dated and really needs an upgrade. - The price of the excursions from the hotel and Nexus was too expensive compared to the outside operators. For example, the Saona excursion, the hotel quoted me $100 USD, Nexus quoted me $99 USD and the outside operator quoted $55 USD. Guess which option I went with?

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Great, again.

Fantastic resort. This is the second time I've stayed at the Beach (adults only) and enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The resort is very well maintained, the staff are friendly and there is always a good selection of food.

Excellence El Carmen: Great Place !!!

This hotel was excellent and the staff were amazing. The entertainment crew ,Black Coffee, Bruno Mars really went out of their way's to make you feel welcome and to be included in all the activities. Melinda in guest relations was a blessing as she guided us through most of our meals and went out of her way to accommodate us when the food was not up to our standards. The food at the Grill and Esmeralda was incredible and a shut out to Sucre who's service was impeccable. Excellence El Carmen: Amazing Resort

This resort was amazing! To be honest we haven't been many places to compare but the grounds were beautiful, the staff was super friendly, and the rooms were immaculate. We did have a couple minor issues where we were missing a blind and the toilet was running, but the staff came and fixed that (although it did take a couple of days). The food was also really great; the buffet was mediocre but many of the other restaurants were amazing. The beach was pretty nice as well but we spent most of our time in the room and on our terrace, because it was just so beautiful and private.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Wonderful

The food was great! I love all the restaurants! Room was big and spacious! My daughter had a wonderful time in the swimming pool nonstop and the water park. Overall, I had a awesome time at Grand Bahia! Everybody was wonderful!

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Our wedding and vacation

Despite the fact the resort was beautiful. Our guests and us continually ran into problems with service from the very time we arrived. Disorganized! We paid for a certain package and didn’t receive it. It took 2-3days for problems to be solved and some weren’t solved. We found The Air Transat Rep not very helpful and would talk over us. Didn’t really want to deal with him anymore. Our wedding and our wedding coordinator were the highlight of the trip. She made us feel welcomed and  [... read more]bent over backwards to help us. She was organized and approachable. All in all I would love to ask for my money back for the vacation part. Didn’t get the bang for my buck.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Amazing resort!

Perfect location, right on the beach. Easy access to adjoining resorts. Very kids friendly. Play area for every age group of kids. Amazing staff, very welcoming. Room was neat and clean. Food is great!
