Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Fabulous resort!

It was my second visit to Memories Flamenco Cayo Coco. It is a great resort. The people are heartfelt and I enjoy my time with them, they are amazing! The rooms are great and comfortable. They are kept very clean and well supplied. If there is a need for extra items, it is a call away and they are very efficient. The food is awesome and plenty of variety, the staff are also very attentive and gracious. I have recommended Memories to many people and I will return. Hotel Playa Paraiso: was not good weather

was good but no drinks in fridge pool water cold no hamburger no welcome went we got there im not going back to cuba but maybe bbetter place for me in cuba maybe a 5 stars next time in cuba after all it was good

Melia Cayo Coco: Melia Cayo Coco - Great resort!

The grounds were very well kept and the staff very friendly and accommodating. The beach was the best part. We attended for a destination wedding and the ceremony was fantastic and the dinner excellent - the best food we had all week. The rooms were very nice and spacious. We were in a junior deluxe suite, very close to the beach which suited our needs. I would definitely recommend the Melia. It's a smaller resort with big personality. I just wish we had of been there to see the flamingos.

This was a nice resort overall and we had a good time! PROS: - Martini bars at dinner time (of you drink) - Pool - Ocean - Staff - Shows - Tennis Courts - Ambiance - Shows - kayak, paddles boats, and catamaran that you can use at the resort: Get the staff to take you out for a ride. For some extra pesos you can go on an extended one but just make sure you reserve in advance CONS: - Beds: The most uncomfortable and hardest beds I have ever laid on. Never got any real sleep. - Beach: The majority  [... read more]of this beach is coral! Yes there is a couple of spots that is cleared where you can enter the amazing water, but even the sand is not cleaned and has a lot of rocks and twigs. I hurt my feet several times so you really need water shoes. Once you get in, it is amazing and we swam a lot! - Boardwalk and beachside snack bar: This area is in total disrepair and the stairs leading into the water are quite dangerous. the snack and beach bar are like broken down shacks really. Very uncomplimentary to the rest of the resort and disappointing to find it is such a state. Overall the food was average fair with good variety. My biggest complaint here is that there is only 1 commercial toaster for breakfast and a huge line up every morning. Why wouldnt they get a few toasters for us Canucks who need our toast in the morning??? Also watch for uneven surfaces around the resort. Sitting in the lobby bar one day we saw a girl stub her toe as she tripped from one transitioning surface to another. On our last night when we went to the theatre I tripped and fell on the cement in the same area. There are several areas where the surface changes do not match and tripping hazards everywhere so be careful. Also one day by the pool there were several workers maintaining a garden and proceeded to pour fertalizer, stones, dirt, etc, that blatantly blew all over us. They kept driving back and forth on their truck and it was very disturbing. These guys could have cared less but more importantly, they should have been directed to do this sort of job before 11 a.m. of after 5 when there is far less use of the pool by the guests. instead they were doing this a peak time which made us uncomfortable, dirty, and frankly unhappy! Overall we had a good time, enjoyed the amenities, shows, and water, but I would not return to this particular resort.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: what to do on windy cool days

For the days when it is too windy and cool to swim and lay down and bake in the sun go for a walk. We walked about 2 miles to the west of the hotel. We saw fan coral, sponges, sand dollars, snails. We could walk about 100 yards into the ocean and it was only about one foot deep. The 24 hour snack restaurant had the best breakfast. Eggs with bacon or sausage with double espresso fresh made. They serve you at the table, much better than waiting in line at the buffet. There was a selection of donuts and bread if you don’t want bacon and eggs. The 24 hour snack restaurant served breakfast from 7AM till noon when it switched to lunch menu. The Wednesday night show was the phantom of the opera and cats which was purry good. The Michael Jackson imitator was not as good as the one we saw in Varadero. Some sun worshipers were beet red, I don’t get that. A spear fisherman with snorkel and spear gun got a fish of about 8 lbs. The sailboats and kayaks were only available two days of our 7 day stay because of the high winds. I believe they should have been available for 5 days in my opinion. As usual my fellow travelers leave their towels to claim a place in the shade of sun. The hotel that can figure out how to overcome this system will get my business

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: A great time for all.

Good food, great service, wonderful beach. Pools were great, activities were fun and engaging. Some issues with the water, but nothing catastrophic. We took a day trip to Pillar beach, which was wonderful, highly recommend it.

Hotel Vigia: Perfection

Love this resort. Was our 4th time, and have no complaints. It's a 3.5 star so go with expectations of a 3.5 star and you will love it. Beach is beautiful, but the biggest asset is the staff. They will do anything for you, and if you have any problems they will be quickly rectified. The resort is not perfect, as it is 17 years old, but it is in such a beautiful setting, it really depends on what you're going away for. If you need marble sinks this is not the place for you. If you need a place to [... read more] relax, unwind, meet wonderful people from across the globe, and meet the most wonderful beautiful staff then this is your place. Food is great, been to 5 stars in Cuba and the food was not as good as here. Highly recommend if you're not fussy and cracks and chipped paint don't ruin your holiday.

Melia Cayo Coco: Really nice resort

Liked that this resort was small and intimate. Staff was always friendly and accommodating. Nice and picturesque to stroll around the complex in the evenings. The soft lighting and paths were very enjoyable. The snack bars and restaurants all served excellent food in abundance and variety.

Hotel Playa Coco: Worst trip ever

This resort was the worst place I stayed in Cuba and I've been eight times to Cuba and I recommend staying clear of this resort. No hot water in shower, absolutely no water second day of trip. Other people had to fill their garbage can at the sink to flush the toilet's. No water in fridge for half a week even after complaining. Buffet was so so, not much selection probably worst buffet I've seen in Cuba. Do yourself a favour book at another hotel

Overall this resort was wonderful Things that need improvement: front desk. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great service

Stayed April 9-16th, 2015 as a couple at this resort. We Pros: great staff, great service, clean rooms, no bugs, lots of beach chairs available, plenty of buffet food, well organized events, great cappucino and cocktail drinks! Beach was beautiful, however, water shoes are needed. Compared to other resorts the hard coral is plentiful here. 3 gifts shops on the resort were worthwhile-nice to have snacks and souvenirs at hand. Cons: plumbing/ water issues. At times the was no water pressure to hav [... read more]e a shower or wash your hands in the sink and you would need to wait over 45 minutes until water pressure resumed. Perhaps that was only during high peak times when others were showering, however, this happened in multiple buildings at the resort at random times throughout the day.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Great place to be in 1 year

Great service at reception, wonderful restaurant ( main) and great entertainment. As per the beach, I would rate it at 1. Dirty and was not prepared for a day. Some areas were under construction. There is no flowers, shrubs and trees

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Needs tweeking

The staff overall are very friendly and helpful. I am not a big fan of the lava rock at the beach but was still a beautiful beach and plenty of loungers. The rooms were standard, although there was no water pressure and the bedding was yellow, but once changed they were better but still some staining. There were 3 of us in the room so figured it would be 2 double beds, instead one king size and a cot(which was terrible). The food was good, always something you could find to eat that was tasty. Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: A child's excitement

From the sun wing flight into cayo coco, Cuba, the stay at memories flamenco and the flight home, Lilah's smile could not be broken. A 4 year olds review of this resort is one of delight and enthusiasm. At The crack of dawn, the thought of swimming and the excitement of meeting new friends was a reality and not a dream. She was able to visit with cousins from afar in what she calls "summer" (although all adults know it as winter). Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Decent resort at good price

Great resort if you're looking for a moderate type resort at a good price. Rooms are decent....clean which is most important. Nothing special about them. Very basic.....thin sheet and 2 thin blankets for the bed. We were checked into a room with 2 single beds (and had booked a king). They were full so we had to stay the first night and switch the second. Food wasn't great....I've definitely had better.....even in Cuba! Eat at the beach grill for lunch if you can...but get there early because everything goes quickly.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: review of Memories Caribe

I liked this resort. It was just a perfect size for my preference. the Beach is about the best I have ever seen. There are some small things that I would like to see improve...the beds and bedding leave a bit to be desired, I'd like to see cleaner sheets, pillow cases and bed spreads. Their towel system isn't great. we didn't get clean towels every day. The beach towel system isn't great either. They should have a "card" system, where you can get a fresh towel in exchange for a card.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Wonderfull Vacation

Best service we have ever had by too many employees to list.Food was very good.They always had a cleaning lady on duty for every washroom all the time. Never had to run after bottled water or coffee for our room . Our location was fantastic near the beach on the third floor with a comfy king size bed. Plenty of hot water.High end liquor at the lobby bar.We have been to Cuba a dozen times & this was the best we have experienced.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great resort

Nice beaches, great people. Rooms are just ok. Good variety of foods. Ask hotel about taking a boat ride to a nearby snorkelling adventure. It's a lot better trying to arrange it with hotel than your group.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: It was the perfect getaway !!!

My husband and I were very impressed with all aspects of our vacation, from our communication with our Tripcentral rep to the total organization of our stay at the beautiful resort. By day 2 we were already planning our next visit !!
