Melia Las Dunas: Best Holiday Ever
Grounds are immaculate. Food was delicious. Bar staff quick to acknowledge you and remember what your favorite drinks are. Pool towels were readily available. Rooms are clean and have plenty of towels. Everyone was happy to help you.
Sol Cayo Santa Maria: very satisfied
If you are born to royals you might have some issues. For everybody else with minimum amount of common sense it is a great place. Personnel working there so nice and helpful that I never seen enywhere else. Most likely will go back in the future. Beautiful beach and the water color You would wish your wife's or girlfriend's eyes could be.
Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful resort !
The resort was beautiful and the staff nothing but helpful. Check in was a bit of a drag as it took 1.5hrs (wedding party of 53) but after that it was smooth sailing. Would recommend this resort to anyone, however, I would not have a wedding here. My dad had a wedding right down the beach at a place called "the jellyfish" and I would go there for a wedding 100xs over. Every bride we saw was in tears at the resort. The rooms were nice and our maid always had everything stocked up and cleaned, a c [... read more]
Hotel Vigia: Beautiful water
A fair amount of variety when it came to food and the ladies in the dining room were always pleasant. Washrooms were kept fairly clean but hit and miss when it came to toilet paper availability. No service for drinks when sitting pool side and not super friendly when going to the main bar. Bar in the lobby that opened later in the day was superb, fantastic and great service. Kid's program was to be desired, really not a lot happening there. Our room needed much tlc, renovations required. The vie [... read more]
Melia Marina Varadero: More a hotel than a resort
Melia Marina Varadero is a lovely place and perhaps Cuba's first genuine 5 star facility. It is however not really a resort. Yes it is all inclusive and has a pool and a beautiful beach, the latter with lots of shade options and always beach chairs available but it lacks the guest friendliness one will find at other Cuban resorts. Activities may happen or may not. If they do, staff participation is minimal and often staff show little interest; just going through the motions. Wait staff is effici [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: OK stay
The resort is beautiful and well laid out. The resort employees are friendly and helpful, especially Mayte, Freddy and Regla. There were tons of flies in the food and dining area in the buffet restaurant which was very off-putting, this was my 10th time to Cuba and I had not experienced that at other resorts. There was not much variety in the food served at the buffet. I did not go to the a la cartes, so I can't comment on them. The beach grill is a pleasant place to have lunch. The pool area ha [... read more]
Melia Las Antillas: Lovely Resort
We arrived at the resort on Friday, April 3, 2015. Check in was smooth and seamless. As expected our room was not ready until 3 pm. We had made a special request for a particular area of the resort which was accommodated. Overall this is a really nice resort. The grounds, vegetation and on-site lagoon were beautiful. This is an older resort and it is evident it is in need of some repairs and updating. The resort, and our room, were clean and tidy. Everything functioned well and we had no proble [... read more]
Melia Caribe Beach Resort: a wonderful escape!
outstanding shopping and service! The food was delicious- with lots of yummy choices. The only drawback is that the resort is so large that anyone with mobility devices or have issues walking too far, will regret staying there. A 20 minute walk to the ocean is too far. Also, the pool is not very close to the main building either. If only there was a pool closer to the front of the resort!
Melia Las Dunas: Greate resort
nice place the lobby was nice the service great pool great food very good beach excellent lots of activities restaurant very clean overall nice resort good service at front desk waiter in the restaurant very good and bar tender at the beach very good room were clean and the service was good no problem with this resort no problem at all I will probable go again and bring some friends
Melia Las Americas: Wonderful vacation
The hotel was absolutely first class. The grounds are kept impeccable, the staff are really friendly amazing people and my room was fantastic. The food gets to be a tad bland, as in every resort I have ever stayed at. The entertainment was not up to par, poor in fact.
Tryp Cayo Coco: Nice place to go see...
Very nice resort. The quiet pool area is great... the beach wonderful. your should look into get a little food area aroung the quiet pool for lunch time it was about the only think missing in that area. the staff is super in all areas. Really enjoyed William and Joaquin in the buffet,.
Melia Jardines del Rey: Wonderful vacation
We had a wonderful vacation at Melia Jardines del Rey. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the service was excellent, the pool, grounds and beach are lovely. The grounds will only become more beautiful as the vegetation has a chance to grow and beome more lush. Suggested improvements include eliminating standing water in the reception area to control mosquitoes and continued attention to the food.
Melia Marina Varadero: OK experience.......
We were first let down by the Hotel immediately since our room wasn't ready until 7:30pm. Also the grounds were not kept as clean as I expected from Iberostar. But as the we progressed we found the resort to be acceptable.
Paradisus Rio De Oro: "Private beach" well worth the upgrade!
This is a beautiful resort, set in relatively untouched Cuban wilderness. We stayed in the "Royal Service" side of the resort, which is essentially it's own small private resort within the larger one. It is definitely worth spending a little extra to be in the Royal Service - this area has its own lobby, several bars, a restaurant/outdoor terrace, and a pool, all with with an unbelievable view of the ocean. It also has two private beaches - we sat out on on one almost every day BY OURSELVES. Our [... read more]
Melia Peninsula Varadero: Matur and lush resort
here are the things that we, as a couple think are important: the rooms were worn but clean and comfortable and stocked daily with beer, water and pop, the grounds were tropical, mature and well maintained, the food was above average for Cuba, 99% of staff that we dealt with were pleasant and helpful, lots to do on or off resort, no problem getting shade or chairs on the beach or at the pool regardless of time of day. The only thing we can say on the negative side was that even though the childr [... read more]
Melia Buenavista: Beautiful beaches
I recently stayed 7 days at the Melia Buenavista, in Cayo Santa Maria, Cuba. The 3 beaches at this resort are beautiful, and also very quiet, so it's perfect to unwind and relax. The 2 pools are also great. What I loved most was the small number of guests (100 rooms), therefore the grounds/beach/pools were never crowded. The room was amazing, we had a view on the sunset beach. The restaurants were good, but it's Cuba, so definitely not the best food in the Carribean! In conclusion I would recomm [... read more]
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Very beautiful resort!
The resort was beautiful and well laid out considering the size. Was like a figure 8, with the main lobby and areas in the middle. The rooms were nice and well kept. Our maid Misleidy was fabulous and went out of her way for us. The buffet food was very good. The A la carte dinners were very good, but my favorite out of the Mexican, the Japanese & the Italian was definitely the Italian. Beach was beautiful. Service at the pool bar was excellent, especially Reinier the waiter. He gave us excellen [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: It was a amazing Resort
The staff the service the ambiance the beach I can go on and on but the number 1 thing the FOOD 11 out of 10 ha loved it .Cuba is a very nice place to go if you like to see new things and explore loved it
Hotel Camino del Mar: Desaster resort
Old,rundown!the front desk service don't care about you!they have no solutions for you problems! Saw cockroach at the buffet room and friends have the room infested by them! The person cleaner my room she is very nice, she did her best but the place is broken down ! Every day same food! I Don't Recomend ! Disgusting
Melia Las Dunas: Really nice staff & beach
Overall the resort was lovely. The rooms can use an update. But for a family friendly resort the activities started really late. 9:30 for the night show it late for middle age children. Overall it was ok
