Hotel Camino del Mar: Desaster resort

Old,rundown!the front desk service don't care about you!they have no solutions for you problems! Saw cockroach at the buffet room and friends have the room infested by them! The person cleaner my room she is very nice, she did her best but the place is broken down ! Every day same food! I Don't Recomend ! Disgusting

Hotel Playa Coco: worst vacation ever!

This hotel was horrible. It started with our room smelling of urine so bad and we were greeted by cocroaches. With in 1 day we had 4 different rooms. Food was terrible. .. A la carte Italian was awful. We all got sick on noodles and there was no sauce on the pasta. It sat in water.... yucky. The only thing good was beach and entertainment. ..although we were covered in bites from beach. We were so happy to go home...couldn't wait for week to end.

Hotel Playa Coco: great

resort was great ,but water pesurre very very poor & toilet would not flush ,water leak from the ceiling down on vanity ,but maids were great.pool & food was good as well as other staff, theunit was always clean,.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Lovely Resort. Great Beach!

Room was great! Maid service excellent! Beautiful beach, lovely bay for swimming. Clean grounds. Hotel staff at all levels were welcoming and helpful. Wifi in the lobby!! A perfect resort for a quiet and restful vacation. The only weakness was the food. We've been to Cuba many times and by far this was the worst food we've ever had and we are not picky. Several foods were VERY salty. Some meats were under cooked or overcooked. Very few choices for cooked vegetables. What they did have were froze [... read more]n varieties. However we did not go hungry. Always other choices. All in all a great vacation

Melia Cayo Coco: Amazing resort...Enjoy every minutes of it

The minutes we walk in,we knew we were in for a treat. The staff was so nice and always with a smile. Never seen a bigger room(suite) are so beautiful and clean. Food for Cuba is really good,the beautiful garden always clean. Beautiful beach also. Thanks Melia for this nice hospitality. Always a pleasure to book with trip central. The staff a 10+

Tryp Cayo Coco: SECOND VISIT AND NOT DISAPPOINTED

March 22 - 29, 2015, my second visit to this all inclusive 4 star hotel. Overall it was a great vacation, the standard room had a nice view of the ocean, the food was fantastic, so much variety and very fresh. From Sushi and Sashimi, to the pasta station, the pizza station,stir fries, fresh chicken, pork, beef that was cooked to your specifications, some of the local foods, fresh salads, fruits and vegetables. The beach was stunning, with plenty of shade and lounges for everyone. Daily activities were mainly around the pools, and a good time was had by all. The staff of course made this vacation a memorable one, they are always ready to help you at any time of the day or night. Heard many comments from other vacationers about the staff, and from first hand experience, they truly care to make your vacation perfect. Being my second visit the hotel had a special lunch for us, and I was surprised at how many people were there at this luncheon. From all the resorts I visited, this one stands out with visitors coming back time and time again. The nightly shows were unbelievably excellent, from the Michael Jackson, the regular nightly shows, and to the aquatic night performance. These performers are a huge part of the vacation experience, they are dedicated to bring the best possible show every night, extremely talented young people that always had a smile on or off stage. In saying all this, there is room for improvement, which I'm happy to say they are actually making the changes. The air conditioner could have been a bit cooler, but other wise I have no other complaints, and expect to return within 6 months again.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Great Location! -- (not so great food)

This is a smaller resort which has its perks … seconds to the beach or pool with great views from the superior ocean view rooms. Always a breeze on the beach and the balcony! Great option for kite surfers. The standard rooms are not renovated and therefore need great improvements. If we had not been in the upgraded room the vacation would have been drastically different-- the value for us was all in the location to the pool and beach -- the views and the room quality. Unfortunately the food w [... read more]as not what we expected and our expectations were already low based on feedback on cuba's cuisine. The meat and fish options were rarely cooked properly ( raw pork burgers are scary!) and the selection at the buffet, beach and pool bar was minimal, flavourless, and rarely rotated. The donut station in the morning was a kid favourite and the pizza station was the safest and most consistent option. Pasta station was plain but also a safe bet unless you got garlic… which was not shucked and roots still attached?!. We expected higher quality at the a la carte options but frankly the buffet was better. The resort may want to consider some food handling training and menu reviews as I find it hard to believe that someone doesn't know how to prepare garlic and that raw meat will make people sick. Service was great and the staff very friendly overall. Our room was cleaned daily. The beach and pool staff were engaging and fun with both adults and kids. The entertainment was great in the evenings with multiple options in the lobby and theatre. Overall it is a good value if you are in an upgraded ocean view room and are only looking for some sun and beach time but if food is an important component of your vacation …this is not the resort for you. I would explore other resorts before recommending this one. However, if the food was improved upon it could be a real contender.

Melia Cayo Coco: Return trip- just as great as our first visit

We were very excited to return to the Melia after our wonderful stay last year. On arrival our room was ready but it did have a few issues. Went to the front desk and everything was resolved immediately by moving us to another area. Food was just as good as last year or even i might say better. Service in the lobby bar was A1 and there were a few waiters who were amazing. Pedro was outstanding and the other names I can not remember. Pool bar ran out of beer one day which to me I did not understa [... read more]nd. The whole area looked great. The gardeners were very hard at work. Not much going on with the animation team around the pool area. Maybe they were down by the beach. Spent the time at the pool due to the wind at the beach and there was a red flag up because waves were high. I would rate my holiday 10 out of 10 and yes we will be going back.

Hotel Camino del Mar: Great Trip!

We were bumped to the Meliá Jardines del Rey, a new resort. Rooms were clean & comfy. Service was great. Not all wait staff are fluent in English but there was always someone on shift who could translate to ensure our needs were met. Eating out with Celiac disease is always a challenge. Special thanks to Enrique in customer service for printing a letter explaining my dietary needs. I provided that to the chef each lunch and dinner so my meals would be prepared separately. I did bring my own cer [... read more]eal for breakfast The sun, sand and warm temperatures were fantastic. We also enjoyed a bus trip to Moron and learning about Cuban culture. I recommend Meliá Jardines del Rey and would definitely return there myself!

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Nice Resort

Very clean rooms and public areas. Grounds keepers were always busy and quick to great you on the way by. Most of the bartenders were there to entertain you,except for the one grumpy one in the lobby bar who barely thanked you for a tip. Overall the staff was very friendly and efficient.

Melia Cayo Coco: Wonderful Resort!

I have never bothered to submit a review but after numerous visits to Cuba, I must say that this is the best resort I have stayed at in this country. Everything was close at hand - the beach, the pool, the restaurants so it was easy to walk to everything in a short period of time. (not too big and not too small) The staff was friendly, efficient and very responsive to requests. The nightly entertainment was professional and fun. The food consisted of lots of variety so there was something for ev [... read more]eryone. Best food I've had in Cuba! The location is on an island at least one hour away from the closest little town so if you want to see and experience the "real Cuba" , you will have to book a bus, car etc. The nightlife is also limited. If, however, you are looking for a vacation that consists of a great beach, pool and is strictly R&R - this is the place for you!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: WOULD NOT RETURN

NOTHING WORTH 4 STAR. MAYBE 3 STAR AT THE MOST. NOBODY SMILES EXCEPT THE PERSON MAKING THE EGGS AND THE WAITERS. NOTHING TO WRITE HOME ABOUT. THE IBEROSTAR RESORTS ARE MUCH BETTER. Activities are very limited.

Great adult resort. Excellent food quality and selection. Nice tropical breeze and beach. Excellent place for a wedding or adult get away. Great service and friendly people. Great relaxing vacation destination.

Likes: Pool Beach Cleanliness of resort A la carte restaurants Staff Dislikes: Uncomfortable furniture Buffet (very noisy, cold food, little fresh fruit) Rude people "saving poolside & beachside loungers all day without actually using them. We definitely enjoyed our stay - great place for the price!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Nice resort, nothing to brag about!

The resort itself was very nice & clean. There was 3 pools, kiddie, party & a third one that was a little quieter. The food was ok, the service was very slow. This is not the resort for you if you are a beach person.

The grounds are beautiful and very clean. The rooms are nice, beds are firm (typical for Cuba), but the beach and the smiles from the people who works there makes up for any and all imperfections . Had no complaints!!!

Hotel Camino del Mar: Very new resort, under construction but not bad

We were pleased with the resort it was clean & staff was very nice. Negatives - construction, sewage smell, rocky beach full of coral, too big. Positives - lots of food variety, safe,clean, large rooms, great pools. will be better in a couple years when its all finished.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Nice Resort!

The resort is still under construction with only half open. A la carte restaurants were very good, buffet food got boring after a while. Grounds were ok but still under construction. Lobby area is huge and a nice place to hang out anytime if day. They make amazing specialty coffee at the lobby bar!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Beautiful Resort

When we arrived I saw a beautiful , clean resort with every Staff being very friendly and with a smile on their faces. Our room was nice and the pool view from our balcony was great. Lots to choose from at the restaurants. The beach was so clean and there were so many activities to get involved in we were busy with quite a few of them everyday.

Melia Jardines del Rey: ANOTHER GREAT VACATION

This resort is very large. The accomodation, staff and food were all very good. The beach was not to our liking as too many rocks, not big enough and too crowded, therefore for us only a good vacation. Work needs to be done to improve the quality of the beach.
