Riu Republica: Punta Canada!!!

Very popular resort among Canadians, which is great because we are quite friendly if I do say so myself. Resort had everything we wanted and more, popular place for young adults. Staff was exceptional and practiced great hygiene with readily available hand sanitizers near dining halls, ensuring straws were not contaminated and that we had plenty of bottle water and alcohol whenever we needed. Normally I get sick and tired of the buffet but I loved the options their breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet had. Would definitely visit Riu Republica again and I am so glad my friend recommended it to me because I am definitely passing the love for this resort forward :)

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Great Resort with an unbelievable Buffet spread.

We enjoyed our stay at the resort. Was a bit apprehensive after reading some of the 1 star reviews. The resort is large and has a mini shuttle service (train on wheels) within. We decided to walk for most part as the buffet and food was just amazing. Needed to burn the extra calories. Free drinks, number of Pools, a Pirate ship wave pool, beach and also paid guided tours made it a memorable trip. Wouldnt think twice about coming back again.

Riu Republica: Good resort but not 5 stars

Riu Republica is a good hotel for your vacations but if you know about a real All-Inclusive 5 stars resort in the Caribbean Sea... this is not for you. My 4 stars qualification is about rooms, restaurants and food, entertainment and night life, liquor on the bars, and specially for service.

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: WOW!

The resort that I went to in the 2nd week of August was Bahia Principe at Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. It was a beautiful resort with a lot of welcoming employees. I would definitely recommend this place to people, and the whole family enjoyed this trip brought to us by tripcentral! ;)

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Greenish environment!

It would have some food at ground floor, sometime tired to go and get food from far away!! Cleaners are very good, they did good job. Don’t make same food at the dining everyday, they mention everyday different country food but looks same food everyday they given!

Very friendly staff with helpful mind. Nice and clean place, you can walk without any fear. But beach shore has lots of sea weeds in. So we are unable to go to the beach. They said this time of the year they have it,

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Everything and more

I have been to multiple all inclusive resorts and this has to be one of my favourites. From the moment you enter one out of the 3 lobbies, you are welcomed with an amazing view, well kept and friendfly staff. I came with a wedding party, and all of our rooms were equally clean and fully equipped. My only critque is to have more shuttle running every 5 mins because the resort is so vast that walking to the 24 sports bar restaurant could be a bit much once the resturants are closed for prep. I would love to come back and possibility try out one of their upscales room that have a hot tub/pool just steps out the back doors.

TRS Turquesa: Really good, but a few things to improve on

-Hotel grounds really great -Buffet and food 7/10, not bad, but could be better -Got a stomach bug from food or water and spent 3 days of the trip in a local hospital -Beach was 5 out of ten; pretty narrow and no sports on the beach. Seaweed build up on the beach was out of control (not swimmable) -Service was outstanding from our Butler Laura -Swim up pool was amazing -Drinks high end -Entertainment lacking

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Ive been twice this year 😬

My brother travels a lot and has been to Ambar green many times and finally convinced me to go in February 2018.... loved it so much we went back this August. The staff is wonderful the grounds are beautiful and the excursions are fantastic. I really have zero complaints and would recommend this resort for anyone looking to meet fabulous people at a luxury resort... with no kids. 🤟

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great family resort

The food at the buffet was fantastic. The pools and entertainment were perfect for people of all ages. I was disappointed with the beach. Too much seaweed! Overall, it was a great family experience. Fun, clean, accommodating, and helpful.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: 5 Star Resort!!

This resort was AMAZING!! We enjoyed every minute of our trip here. The rooms were super big and cleaned daily. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurants were ample and there was no restrictions on where you could eat and when. The pools were clean and there were many of them great kids pools with slides. Lazy river with floats available. Lots of pool beds which are cushioned. Lots of shaded pool and beach chairs. Lastly transport to and from the airport was great. The hotel is 25 mins from the airport feels more like 20 mins. Small tips go a long way at this resort however we didn't feel pressured when we didn't tip. Great weather and they manag3 to spray the resort well so there are no bugs or mosquitos. Lots to do for kids at the kids clubm shows were awesome daily and drinks are very exotic. Big thanks to Miranda at tripcentral who helped us book this awesome trip. We will definitely plan to return to this resort.

Occidental Punta Cana: Very nice resort.

I thought the resort was very nice, the pools were great with lots of lounges so there was no problem finding places to sit. The food at the buffet and all of the a la carte restaurants was very good. They did an excellent job for Stacey and Matt's wedding and the wedding dinner at the Italian restaurant was great with terrific food and service. The availability of shuttle service was a great help for some of our family members who need assistance walking longer distances. The beach was very [... read more] clean and well looked after. The only problem, as you are aware, was on the last day when my niece suffered a medical emergency when she was given a drink that had been drugged. I know the hotel and the hospital will deny this and state it was dehydration. However, her symptoms and the quick onset of problems leave no doubt in my mind that she was drugged and in talking with her upon our return this I believe was confirmed by her family physician although nothing can be definitively confirmed because no drug testing was done at the hospital in Punta Cana. Our activities for that day do not support their assessment of heat and dehydration, as we drank lots of water that day before snorkeling and were only back from this excursion about and hour when her symptoms occurred. Very unfortunate that this should have happened and put a dark cloud over what had been a wonderful time with family and friends.

Riu Republica: Great vacation!

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at the Riu. There was a mix up with the room ( 1 king bed vs 2 singles) when we arrived, but it was quickly taken care of. The staff was friendly and the washrooms were really well kept. There were plenty of beach chairs available and we never had to wait a long time for any of the restaurants. Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Excellent Stay

The resort was clean and well kept. The food was great with a lot of options at the buffet. A la Cartes were great as well! Nicole our wedding planner was amazing and Ramon treated us well when booking our excursion.

Riu Republica: Good Time

The resort was good for me and my vacation needs. There was a common complaint from many people about food, non- English speaking staff and cleanliness. I have been to 4 Riu Resorts in Cancun Mexico and this one doesn't live up to that standard. My room wasn't cleaned 3 days of my stay. When I went down to the front desk I was told to put the blue sign which states "clean my room" ... there was no sign other than the red do not disturb. On my last breakfast, my elbows stuck to the placemat. Whi [... read more]le having that same breakfast a server spilled coffee on the floor. Staff and guests were walking over the coffee so I took some napkins and started to clean it up as I'm a hospitality foodservice manager on the health and safety committee. Soon as started to clean up the coffee captains and servers all rushed to stop me and take over the task. Lady servers are the best staff they have. Male servers, in general, are mediocre at best, especially for breakfast. Yawning at the station, not paying attention and forgetful. Cancun Mexico when you enter and restaurant the servers are escorting you to there station, coffee, juice, and water are offered and served in a flash. Males servers, for the most part, don't make an effort to speak English where all woks of life coming to the resort making an effort to speak the language. Resort grounds should be cleaned through the night. I came down at 6:30 am and walked across a dirty theatre which was always cleaned in the morning along with the walkways leading to pools and beach. Many a morning I walked from my room passed numerous glasses, nachos spilled on the floor and beverages spill. There is no beach view from the resort like 99% resorts rather a pathway leading to the beach. Could it be intentional? The front desk by day doesn't reflect the rest of the resort as when its all lit up at night. The Jerk chicken kiosk is a good idea but they need to change up the hot dogs every day. I wouldn't change the chicken but you may want to consider some plain chicken for those who don't eat spicy. The jerk chicken gets dry as the day goes on but if you eat before noon its juicy and good. The daily hot dogs are not fully cooked on a regular basis. I think it should be changed up especially if you eat there daily. They should consider alternating hot dogs burgers and possibly a chorizo sausage. There was no relish available for the hot dogs. Bar service was great along with the selection of alcohol. Peanuts were good and a nice touch. Sports Bar was good but someone should be monitoring it as when its busy its hard to get a drink. I would reccomend but not all.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great Resort

It's was a great vacation. We enjoyed every aspect of this hotel. It is a very large resort and we probably only saw 1/4. It was very clean, immaculate actually, staff was friendly, food was great lot of choice of restaurants. Never hassled by vendors. The only down side was the beach and the massive amounts of seaweed. We will definetly consider this hotel the next time we go to Punta Cana. Favorite drink for the week Mojitos awesome. Thanks for a great week!

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Wonderful Resort - Very Luxurious

The resort was amazing. Rooms were very spacious. Clean. Bathrooms were clean and fresh towels daily. The grounds were immaculate. You saw workers everyday keeping the place beautiful. Pools were great. Never any issues with finding a chair although people reserve the chairs very early in the morning. This happens at every resort. 3 pools separated by bridges. Nightly entertainment was great - started at 9pm. The entertainment staff really try to engage the visitors, a lot. One criticism, lots of smokers around which is ok. The hotel should think about sectioning off smoking and non-smoking sections outside as sometimes the amount of smoke really took away from enjoying the entertainment. Construction at the blue section is not noticeable at all! only when you take the golf cart to the beach then you see it otherwise you don't see or hear anything at all. Really fabulous resort. Beyond our expectations. We will definitely go back next year and looking forward to seeing the Ambar Blue sectiton fully renovated.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Excellent

An excellent resort. Different restaurants but we only tried Japanese which was not also good food but a great show. Room was nice and clean. Hair dryer not working was the only issue. The beach is not good, seaweeds everywhere although they do their best to clean it. Most of the bartenders and servers are really nice and always ready to serve except for a few who will serve you better after the tip. But the majority of the staff ia always smiling, happy and joking and make your stay great.  [... read more] The entertainment team is AMAZING. You will not get bored and they are always happy and joking even if they have been working the entire day. Just to mention some Sexy Tobby, Chori, the Cat, JC. They make the stay way better and enjoyable. The pool is nice but sometimes to get a drink in the pool bar may take too long so go outside to get your drink and save time. The food in the buffet is great. There is a variety of different things and for all tastes!! Every day a different theme. The Dominican night was really good. The house band playing every evening was really nice. Then the show at the theater and after that you can go to do karaoke at the sports bar and then to the disco. In all, a wonderful time. Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Beautiful, clean, fun resort!!!

We loved the beautiful, clean rooms, swim up bars, pools, restaurants, food and friendly staff. Everything is amazing, except for all of the seaweed in the ocean. I’d go again in a heartbeat! We loved it!

Very clean. Excellent service. Great facilities for all, especially for kids. Lots of good shows and entertainment for children. Food at the buffets were great with lots of choice and plentiful. Pool bartenders were excellent. Downside was the beach was covered in seaweed. .
