Grand Memories Varadero: ..

You get the same food everyday and it really sucks . The rooms have no cable and need to be updated a little but other wise the resorts a solid 4/5 with everything else . Would recommend to someone else

Melia Las Dunas: Great resort!

The grounds are beautiful and the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful! Rooms are outdated but they keep them clean. Big resort so some walking is required. The food is as expected. Not the highlight of the trip but they do try. They have freshly grilled meat at the buffet and fresh hamburgers at the snack bars. I found the ocean so/so. There was a lot of seaweed and the waves were rough and extremely salty. Never seen chunks of salt so big in an ocean before. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Lots of shortages

Beach is awesome. Even the black market had shortages. Not only are there shortages of food, the food was meh at best. But you don't go for Cuba for the food. Staff was pleasant throughout and tried to the best with what they had. You have to remember they work up to 14 hours a day, 6 days a week. The stay was made difficult as members of our party got covid and were hospitalized. Hola Sun rep was good for the 1st week but then washed his hands of any responsibility as soon as the schedu [... read more]led vacation was over even though 2 were still in hospital. The hotel was no better and kept passing the buck to the rep. saying it's not their responsibility and offered no help whatsoever. This meant I had to coordinate, make arrangements, and advocate on my own which was extremely time consuming and frustrating to manage.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: very tired resort...

the staff was amazing..but thats where it ends...rooms are very tired..we had no water in our room for the first 2 days, no beers or soft drinks for the whole week in our room bar fridge.. there was no coke offered for 70% of the time we were at this resort.. they ran out of vodka for most of the time we were there, ran out of tonic water, no orange juice at bar or for breakfast, no cereal was offered at breakfast , toliet paper was used as napkins for most of the week, last 2 days we had real  [... read more]napkins.. our first room was terrible, we were moved on the 3rd day, better room, but again very tired..we notice the last day we were there they started painting, and sprucing up the grounds..

Valentin Perla Blanca: Different now

We have been in this resort four times before but this time was different. The resort just opened after covid so half of the resort was still closed. We received a la carte dinners every night and the food was very good. Not the same with the drink selection at the bar, which was very basic. But the bartenders were excellent and entertaining as always, and we had a good time at the bar every day. The biggest change was that Cuba devaluated their currency and the only acceptable payments anywh [... read more]ere was credit cards and cash for which they used conversion rate 1 CAD = 0.67 USD. The biggest surprise of them all was that the price of a bottle of rum at the resort was about 30% higher than at the airport. Over all it was a good trip. Sun was shining every day and the empty beaches were absolutely amazing.

Club Kawama: Disappointed

This resort really needs to be updated. Food was very sparce and not good. The cleaners of the rooms did their best to make sure the room was clean. Hopefully things will get better for the people of Cuba.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Hotel Playa Paraiso...was not bad

Please read full review for hints :) Just a short bus ride to the resort and our driver had cold beer on hand. Resort is laid out nice and most of the employees were great. Things can always be cleaner when around food and food serving, but overall a genuinely nice place to go. You don't go to Cuba for their food...but it was not bad at all. Once we navigated the daily routine of the buffet and 24 hr snack bar we were able to find what we all enjoyed daily. Breakfast buffet had cheese, e [... read more]ggs/ omelet bar, fresh cooked/smoked ham and potatoes they would add to the grill for you to crisp up and was always fresh bread for toast. Lunch we stuck with the snack shop or beach as they had grilled panini sandwiches, hotdogs, fries. The beach food had some nice deep-fried fish or bbq pork sandwich bun. They had fun things for the kids like cotton candy and churro. There was a pizza bar as well daily, and if you ask them they will add grilled chicken...and you can fold it in half like a pizza pocket. There is ice cream in the lunch buffet, and it is good. The cones are a bit soggy, so we grabbed a foam cup from the bar. For some reason there are NO SPOONS, anywhere lol Dinner at the buffet was fine. The pasta bar is worth the wait in line...if you bring him things from the buffet to sauté with the sauce it can be very good! DAILY Salt and pepper was not available at each table if at all unfortunately. There were little to no fresh fruit or vegetables...but we avoid them anyway in Cuba, because that is likely where you will get tummy problems, from raw food. They did run out of some selections of alcohol daily but did the best they could with what they had. Beer and Rum flowed freely. No issue. They will make you iced coffee as well, we did not realize this until day 4, and it was really good. Here is something I DID NOT LIKE Purposely/VISABLY watered down wine at each of the 3 a la carte dinners. We watched and heard the server ask the head waiter if she could give me the "real red wine" because the watered down bottle was emptied. I am unsure why this occurred, but it made the dinner experiences less enjoyable. It wasn't a "one off" it was at each a la carte, and it wasn't just our table? Things I would pack/bring again: salt/pepper, spoons, katsup packets, peanut butter/nutella ( we have a little guy and this did help ) Other than that it was a great holiday. Really. You can tell they are doing the best they can with what they have.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great beach, great staff

The hotel was beautifully kept, however we did notice a few things were not open during our stay (Disco, Rock Club, some restaurants). When we first arrived we noticed not as many people were staying, but by the end of the week it felt like the resort was fuller and busier. Staff were always friendly and helpful, though we noticed they could have been short staffed at times. Food was good, we never ran out - the snack bar had limited food but we had no complaints with this since we are not picky [... read more] eaters and drinks were always available. We walked everywhere but I think if you stay in the Royal Suites you may need to call for a golf cart. If you are expecting gourmet food, I would avoid Cuba. We came for sun, sand and relaxation and that's exactly what we got. The lobby bar staff were amazing; Lazaro, Alexander, Jhosniel, Yasmany and the cigar lounge staff Jean, Yeney and Abel at the lobby was very helpful with baggage and making sure we got on our bus to the airport. Everyone was amazing and always smiling making sure we were having fun. I would come back if the disco was open :)

resort has exeecional point having bungalo for turist , beach is very long and good weatrher was 5 days good 2 days cloudy generaly o kay room had good cofortable bed food was simle but wino was perfect original , so we had good time for vacation thank you Vera

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Lovely quiet place

We came back the 15th time a beautiful sea view rom newly renovated with a big bathroom was a big surprise , beach towels in room was great.we noticed big changes.The pool Cristal clean coffee delicious food good it is after all a 3 star hotel.The staff very friendly helpful and the place felt like home very clean peaceful.we came home relaxed and planing to go back in February.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Great resort

The resort was very good. Shortages exist but they try to make the best out of what they have. Only issue was a defective toilet but luckily we were in a suite with 2 toilets. The repetitive music every day would make it impossible to stay longer than a week. Canada day outdoor meal was kind but I would prefer they didn’t bother

Resonance Blu Varadero: What a perfect family holiday

This whole vacation was a magical experience for myself my mom and my 2 boys who are 5 and 3 years old. we enjoyed restaurants and especially loved our sushi dinner at a la carte restaurant. There are always great food options.. come on the 24 hour bar and and staff are just sooo hospitable . Shout out to Jamie and Anette from main pool bar!!! Amaury from the lobby!!! All restaurant staff!! You were all so amazing. We will miss you. Beach is perfection!!

Playa Vista Azul: Amazing resort!!!

We have been to this resort four times and would not hesitate to go again!! The staff is incredible, they treat you like Royalty. Enjoyed the beach, the pool the entertainment and the food, we had a wonderful time!!

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Place to relax like royalty.

We stay at this resort many times . Usually in Royal service. It is worth every penny. Beautiful lush gardens. Gorgeous lobby and swimming pool over looking ocean. Clean beautiful rooms with outdoor shower. Staff is amazing will do for you anything any time . Food is fantastic. We love this place because it is quite and the beach is not busy. No loud music no disco in royal section… just peaceful. Definitely place to visit. Staff is amazing!!!!!!!

Melia Jardines del Rey: 💯 % employees and management

The employee management was Superior awesome people but the resort fails at a zero for me because the food was horrible and missing a lot of items and running out of food constantly I rate the food part a zero but it was nobody's fault as they did not have the supplies

Hotel Tuxpan: Exception Rsort

This was my 2nd stay at this hotel & had the same excellent experience. Food needs a little improvement, but the Hotel staff & enternainers are beyond amazing. Highly recommend this resort easily!!!!!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Good resort

Rooms are good. Food is decent. Less varieties than previous years. Very good espresso coffee in the bar but unfortunately the espresso machine was broken during our second week. Sport facilities include table tennis, billiard, tennis courts and gym. The beach is amazing

- Excellent beach - Professionally-run hotel - Room convenient size, well-functioning bathroom, ceiling fan needed repair which was done - on Cuba time though:) - Excellent maid service - Very good a la carte restaurants - Standard buffet though missing white potatoes, french fries, and red wine at the beginning of out stay - Very professional and friendly staff

Gran Muthu Cayo Santa Maria: Nice resort

Rooms and beach were ok but food was horrible and was being cross contaminated. For example chef was making a chicken and he was using the same fork to pick up the raw and cooked meat , Not many vegetables or fruits for the vegan and vegetarians. Workers were sweet and nice . I made the suggestion to keep some vegetables and fruits separately for vegan and vegetarians

Paradisus Rio De Oro: An Excellent Resort!

A great resort with something to offer everyone. Beautiful grounds and gardens, very well kept. A lovely beach with lots of loungers and umbrellas. The rooms are large and comfortable with a well-appointed bathroom and a large walk-in shower. The staff in all areas of the resort are the best. They are very friendly, attentive and helpful. The evening musical bands were sensational! I will return!
