This resort was 10/10. There was always lots of food. The room was comfortable. The branch was absolutely beautiful. All the staff was super friendly and helpful. Jorge and Wilfred were very kind and helpful. My family and I will be returning

Hotel Playa Coco: Amazingly beautiful

This resort had everything for everyone. Well kept grounds, lots a choices on the different menus and of course great people. Buildings have or are being renovated and the gym/spa facility is up to par. Weather was on our side this time again. We can not wait to go back.

Valentin Cayo Cruz: Amazing resort

As usal in Cuba the service is excellent. The rooms are spacious and always clean. The grounds are well maintained. The beach is beautiful. My only critism is that there should be washrooms closer to the beach.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Grand Aston

Our vacation was Jan 8 to 15th in lovely Cayo Paradon. The resort was beautiful, the lobby big and airy. The rooms were great, big and roomy. The beach was beautiful, lots of chairs and great bars and lunch areas to eat. The buffet was almost always crowded, no matter the time of arrival. There were not enough cooks behind the stations. The food was good, we understand the problems Cuba is and has had. If you like or are French Canadian a/o have children, then this is the resort for you.  [... read more] The specialty restaurants were great, the Italian and Asian were the two we were able to attend. Overall, we had a great time.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Great hotel - amazing vacation!

We love this hotel! The room was clean and comfy! The food was tasty, fresh and good choice! The buffet is clean! No flies. Staff is friendly and helpful! Service is good! Perfect location! Management is good! Thank you for a great time. Will be back for sure!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Exceeded expectations

Surprisingly, after so many bad news in the media about various shortages, this resort had everything. The food was fresh and variated, rooms were very clean and cleaned every day, the bar had what we wanted and no waiting lines, the staff amazing! Cannot think of negatives for this resort, 4 star indeed.

Tryp Cayo Coco: my Favorite

Tryp Cayo Coco. love this place. some may think it's quiet but it is what you make of it. Cuba is notorious for shortages but I've yet to experience anything serious. i had a morning of no water, but it was back by noon. 5th time there. always traveling with family and friends, some we met there previously. No single supplement in Dec. back again this year! I bring my guitar.

Hotel Playa Coco: Great vacation

Hotel Playa Coco is a great little resort. We had a fabulous few days there. The resort is right on the beach, the first room we got was off in the bushes and the doors didn't lock, was pretty run down - requested a room change and ended up in an oceanview room - and while the room is in need of repair (rust, stains, etc), it is clean and cared for. The staff are friendly, we had no shortages of anything (alcohol, food, electricity), and the beach is just beautiful. Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Fadi Ojeil

They said 5 star which is not , it’s less than 4 star, no towels at the pool after 11 am , they give you only 2 towels for 2 persons per day in the room and the towels are very old , 1 day they had no bottles of water ? n the rooms

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Good memories of Memories Flamingo

The property is well maintained with well cared for gardens.our room was cleaned daily and we had a lovely view of the beach from our terrace. The staff are friendly at both the dinning room and pool side. The coffee bar was excellent. We loved Cuba day! Because I have mobility issues I was greatful that I had all the help I needed from all the staff. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a great vacation in Cayo Coco, Cuba

Valentin Cayo Cruz: Second time back

Second time back at this resort. Food was very good. Room was amazing and clean and the beach was to die for. Will be returning again next year. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. I got a free bottle of rum for returning.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Great resort!

We just recently went to this resort from January 4-11, 2025. Everything at the resort was great. We didn’t have any shortages of food at the buffet, the maid service did well and always replaced our toilet paper, fresh towels, and water bottles. (Don’t drink the tap water. Use bottled water to brush your teeth so you don’t get sick) The fridge was not stocked with anything. We didn’t use it. The lobby in the evening was always very lively with music. The pool had music and dancing every day as well. They did entertainment shows about every other night. We also recommend checking out Playa Pilar, which is about 40 minutes from the resort on a bus. We did an excursion at Playa Pilar which was $40 per person and you go on a boat you go snorkelling and you get a lobster lunch on a private island. It was awesome! Chat with the front desk on how to know which bus to take. We also checked out a restaurant off resort called Lenny’s. It was a great lobster dinner with a beautiful view oceanside. We enjoyed the options at the 24 hour snack bar (chicken sandwich, tuna, plantain chips, hot dog, hamburger, sometimes fries, sometimes sweet potato chips) The snack bar made the best lattes! The weather was a bit breezy and fresh so you needed a light sweater in the evening, but overall everything was great. The staff was friendly. The only thing to keep in mind is to bring toilet paper or wipes with you as the lobby washrooms don’t always have toilet paper so it’s good to be prepared!

Melia Jardines del Rey: New Years at Melia Jardines

The Check in process was delayed until past 7:00, there were no clean sheets and towels or rooms. Took several tries to get a clean room. Once situated, our clean towels were taken by the cleaning service the next day not to be seen again for over seven days. Additionally about half of the days the beach towels were unavailable for exchange. There was only hot water for two of the nights which is very unfortunate if you happen to get sick. The water sports have to be booked ahead of use [... read more] in the morning, and there cannot be any wind that day or they will be unavailable. In an 11 day stay we weren’t able to take them out at all. Service was terrible, especially with the difficulty in getting a room (with which after an hour had passed they tried putting us back into one of the bad rooms). For the first 2/3 of our stay it was difficult to get table service. There were also certain staff working behind the grill who would serve the spanish speaking guest behind you in line before you, and set the best pieces of meats aside. Beach wasn’t very clean and God forbid you leave your towel unattended, ours was taken right from our balcony.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: PHENOMENAL EXPERIENCE!!!

This resort has really upgraded itself. The entertainment staff is something else!! They never stop going, always have games, competitions that are kid and family friendly. By the pool, on the beach, lobby. They don't let the rain stop them - they move it all to the lobby. A special shout out to Yali, Yude, Johnny, Chicky and that's only to name a few. The painter Eric is always working hard for the next set up /taking down. The amount of costume changes throughout the day and shows always keeps you guessing. The DJ was receptive to what kind of music people want to hear. Some activities included balloon toss, coloring flag, mini spa for kids, teaching dances, ORANGE PARTY WAS EPIC, games with parents, musical chairs, mini cars for kids, boys vs girls for adults by the pool. A wide range of kids games, adults games and family games. EVERYTHING was appropriate for kids. The bar staff (shout out to Yoyo, Paco) knows your drink, pays equal attention (if not more attention) to kids and helps them right away, is patient with them. Pools were very clean, grounds cleaned, glass cleaned right away. The maid Staff in the rooms were always busy, kind and smiling, sweet. The nightly shows are amazing for adults and the kids were just mesmerized by the dancing, singing, and costumes. The best I've ever seen. Reception is easy, friendly and no issues. They speak excellent English so any issues can easily be solved (we had no issues whatsoever) The rooms were clean, no mold, hot water, never got yelled at for leaving the patio door open (grand muthu would get mad). One early morning my husband left to get coffee and left our door slightly a jar where it didn't latch. A gentleman worker knocked to make sure everything was OK (it was super early) and I felt that he was watching out for all the guests as normally the door would be closed if no one was in there so wouldn't want anyone to break in or people could be sleeping with a door slightly open. Made me feel safe that they're always looking out. I went for a run early morning and ended up at the back of the resort, the gardeners even work hard when no ones watching. The grounds are immaculate and they are always smiling, saying Hola. They are friendly, always offering a coconut but ask once and that's it, not pushy at all. Every person who works here is always smiling, talks to my family , especially my kids and pay attention to us and seem to actually know and care for their guests. The food was plentiful and the chefs are funny! Never saw bugs, flies or cockroaches anywhere. Very clean. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone that is looking for entertainment, and/or with kids. A group of rowdy young adults may not fit with this vibe. This resort has only gotten better each time we visit. In fact, we're looking to get Married there in the next upcoming months. Signed, One Happy Family !!

This place was the right choice to spend time with my family, great for kids and the shows and food were amazing, we will definitely be back to this location as was more that we were expecting for the country based on past experiences

Melia Jardines del Rey: A sub par experience!

Although initial expectations would not be considered unreasonably high given the current state of the country, there were some glaring issues that we encountered which if rectified could have made our trip better. On the third day, sewage began leaking in front of our hotel block. The leak remained all week and no one attended to it. Throughout the week staff and lifegaurds were observed consuming alcohol during their shift. And lastly trash began accumulating quickly often left for days ( cups floating in the pool, plates on the beach) and the grounds past the main building were unkept. Though there were some amazing staff who attempted to make the stay enjoyable , the aforementioned issues could not be ignored. Overall, even with our relatively low standards in which we entered the resort, we still felt disappointed, the Melia Jardines Del Rey is not a 4+ star even in Cuba

Iberostar Selection Esmeralda: Very Happy with our Stay

This resort exceeded our expectations. It was clean and had a modern vibe. Most of the staff were friendly and accommodating, with only a couple of exceptions. The food was surprisingly delicious, and we had no issues with power or shortages during our stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this resort and would gladly return. 5 stars

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Great Time at the Grand Aston!

The hotel is fairly new and everything is kept very clean. The rooms are modern and fresh and we always had a nice hot shower, clean towels and bottled water. The lobby bar has great staff, amazing coffee in the morning and fun shows in the evening. The buffet food is decent, you can always find something however we liked to take our food and eat outside. The snack bar by the beach offers pizza at 12:30 which is a good snack and there is also the snack bar. The beach is beautiful and the pools a [... read more]re nice. The week we went had a fair amount of wind and cloud but that could not be helped. We were able to try 3 of the a la carte restaurants, Mexican (least fave) Italian and Brazilian and they were both quite good. We stayed in Bungalow 9 which was close to the beach and the pools but not attached to the main lobby which we loved. As long as you have reasonable expectations for the food, you will enjoy this resort very much.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Was beautiful for many reasons

My only criticism involves the quality of the food, especially pertaining to the lack of fresh fruit and absence of late-morning pastry...sadly, the ala cartes (sic) were no better than the buffet. Sadly, I will not be returning to Cuba i the near future because I can find better value for my money elsewhere.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Iberostar Origin Daiquiri is so nice.

The variety of food was very good considering this is Cuba. The resort was clean. Staff was friendly and the stores were open often. The pools were clean and maintained. The beach was awesome. The activities were plentiful. Room service was great. The rooms themselves were a bit dated. Fridge worked. We had hot water in the shower. Suggestions: they need to install more hooks. We had nowhere to hang up our wet towels and swim suits. We could have used an extra dresser as well.
