Breezes Bahamas: Run down

The resort needs alot of repair and it feels more like a teenage hang out with cheap drinks and basic food more than a resort. The beach is beautiful and the trapeze is fun but I'm sure you can get these elsewhere.

Hotel Bella Costa: Best Cuban Resort

This was my third time in Cuba and the third resort. The best so far. Public washrooms were clean and always had toilet paper. Good food. Pizza bar is great and was well used by us. Beach is amazing with lots of shade available. The hotel rooms were a little dated but for Cuba, they were great. Front desk staff left a lot to be desired. Were not friendly at all. The waitstaff were amazing though. Entertainment was good. Nice and close to town if you want to leave the resort. I would go back.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: outstanding!

My husband and I just returned from our vacation to The Jewel Runaway Bay to celebrate our first anniversary. The whole resort was wonderful from the staff, to the food, entertainment and the hotel itself. I loved that our shower had 6 shower heads, so awesome! Make sure to visit Clive at the arts and crafts hut to buy a painting, he's got so much talent. Breezes Bahamas: Excellent beach and location ~ hotel not so much!

Stayed there for 3.5 days to attend the Junkanoo Carnival, which was amazing by the way! Staff on the resort well unfortunately they do cater more towards the locals staying there and you feel 2nd class due to this: Requests were not met as promised and repeating the request over and over again for items like a blow dryer (which is stated as in room) was not received. Food was very good for this resort, Beach AMAZING! Felt very safe in Bahamas and will be back just not to this hotel.

Breezes Bahamas: Definitely some Pros & some Cons!

Prior to booking this trip, I had read that the hotel had some recent upgrades/refurbished. The hotel itself is old and dated and needs a face lift. There were some small issues with the room (shower head did not work and the t.v. didn't work well) however the room was clean, towels were readily available and the beds were comfortable. The food at this resort was FANTASTIC! I haven't had food this good at a resort in any of my travels. So much variety, hot and tasty. Breezes Bahamas: A bit dated

The Breezes resort is very close to the airport and an average hotel at best. The price was right however and the original room we booked was dated we upgraded to a beach front, walk out room which was great. The service from the restaurants, (Ricky you are amazing!) pool area (Rashad we miss you!) and maid service was great, very friendly. Front desk staff was very slow to accommodate or get to your request (for example we had a fire alarm that went off every night all night and although we rep [... read more]eatedly asked for this to be looked at, this was never done). For the price the resort was clean and easily accessible to the airport, downtown. Would rate a 3 star.

Memories Jibacoa: terrific resort

everything was great, rooms, service, food was great, also entertainment every day and night, beaches and snorkeling were awesome, great pool with activities every day, also mountain climbing and tennis with lessons

Memories Jibacoa: This one is definitely a go back place.

The most amazing thing was the snorkeling. No arrangements, no extra costs, just get up out of your chair, don your gear and walk out. It was so entertaining. The resort is not too big so that getting around to the common areas were not a daunting task in the heat. The staff was of the friendliest we've experienced. The resort is close to where people actually live, so we could just walk out of the resort and go for a walk up the road and meet people. Hotel Bella Costa: Awesome trip!

I had a really great time at breezes bella Costa. The rooms were not that luxurious, but it was clean and still decent. The resort isnt too big, so you dont have to walk long to get from your room to restaurants or pool/beach area. The beach was beautiful, i liked the papayas which gave you shade. For the a la carte restaurants i really liked the italian and japonese ones, the cuban one i didnt like, and the buffet was pretty good. we always found something good to eat. I also liked the entertainment, they had a show every night and even had an early one for the kids. The staff were very friendly. It was my first time in cuba and i very much enjoyed my time there. I do plan to return to cuba someday:)

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Great Resort

The sunscape hotel is an older hotel but it is well maintained and they have a lot of renovated areas that are nice. Our room in the 'royal tower' was beautiful. Very clean and most importantly the bed was very comfy! Always able to get chairs in sun or shade on the beach or by the many pools. Food was very good and liked that it was unlimited al la carte to any of the restuarants. Staff was very friendly and polite. Always lots to do as in activities but also able to relax in quiet areas. Sunscape Curacao Resort: Great resort

The grounds were clean. The rooms were adequately clean. Received 7 bars of soap over the week but lacked in towels, toilet paper. The food was good, somewhat repetitious. Did not like the a la cartes. Too slow, too salty but service was good. For the price, I would go back

Hotel Bella Costa: Great Family Resort

This resort was very clean, lots of activities in the day and great shows at night. The food was quite tasty, especially the pizza. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great resort for families.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Great Resort

Everything was clean and kept up! Close to Mambo beach shopping and Sea Aquarium. Easy to get around town with local bus - $1.50 per person. Rooms were nice. In room safe was free and secure. No one expected a tip, but you were glad to give one for service. I would recommend this resort!! No reservations for a la carte, no wrist bands, no towels cards!

Hotel Los Cactus: Breezes

I have heard bad things about Cuba-bad weather, bad food, dirty resorts but not Breezes. Very clean, friendly staff (Orestes was great), quite good food and plentiful, HUGE room (707), great pool and of course the famous white sandy beach! Coffee was best at the bar. Rum plentiful and bar staff very fast. Would go again!

Great staff, Great food and even better beach....plan on returning very soon. Thanks Rein for helping pick this resort as it was exactly what we needed and very kid friendly. Great times had by all.....

Hotel Los Cactus: Awesome trip

Beach was amazing, always loungers and palapas to be had. Can walk to varadero beach front which is nice too! I had no difficulty finding food. Usually when I go away I have a hard time eating but I was able to eat at every meal and have something so delicious. My boyfriend and I are in our mid 20's, we were definitely a minority there in terms of age But that alone had its perks. We were in c block and the room is bigger than our apartment at home. Hotel Los Cactus: Great vacation

We had been to this resort in 98 and loved it then. We loved it all over again. Not too big, clean, friendly staff and good food and drinks. The beach is fabulous will go back. The only thing that would have made it better would have been better water pressure in the shower.

Hotel Los Cactus: Beautiful Resort

This older resort with gorgeous mature vegetation had a comfortable feel the minute we arrived. The staff is friendly and helpful. I am not celiac but have to eat a gluten free diet. I had no problem finding food at the buffet and the restaurants had choices without gluten. I am not a pool person. I thoroughly enjoyed the amazing beach everyday for two weeks. Hotel Bella Costa: Fun Resort everything is right there in the Resort

The staff from the Lobby , cleaning & kitchen , dining Buffet , verything nice & clean, very friendly !! Amazing Entertainment every nite , kudos to all the dancers ! Would have been much better had not me & my husband both got sick , couldn't really eat or drink at all , so much for all inclusive !! :-(( Don't travel without Immodium !!!

Hotel Los Cactus: Nice resort with a fantastic beach!

An overall nice place to stay. Could use some updates in the Junior Suites as they were older and carried a musty smell, more so than the other accommodations. A/C didn't work the best. The in room safe was not secure and would open with a simple jiggle of the handle but friends said theirs was secure in the other accommodation area. The neighbour resort was rather loud in the evening if you are an early to bed kind of person, before midnight. I found the resort info was not accurate and could a [... read more]lso use updating. Stating they had a snack bar open 24 hours when in fact it was only open for a few hours in the mid afternoon and the towel shack was stated as being open at 7 but yet was not open until 9 and times varied. Really not sure exactly when it was open or closed! Drinks were free poured and different at each bar. Don't expect slushy drinks. Their machine didn't work and the blender was not used for each drink. not much of a drink menu but if you know anything about mixing up great drinks, they may have it there. I personally don't know what to order without some kind of menu. I did love the beach. It was great for swimming and lounging under a palapas. Very few pedalers. The one pool was all just 4' deep and during my stay, was overtaken by young drunk wild messy characters. I am sure it can be a great area without the hoodlums. Piano bar had a fantastic pianist and saxophone player. Entertainment was nice. Great value for the stay overall. Cuba has wonderful excursions and people.
