Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Great resort!

Check-in: fast, easy. We had a request for particular building due to a mobility issue and Jedulka was terrific in helping to accommodate. Rooms: excellent. Large, clean and very good bathrooms. Dining: ala carts were excellent although booking was a little difficult. But food was great. Buffets were very good too. Beaches: excellent. Lots of palapas...great sand, no need for water shoes. Some seaweed but beaches were racked daily. Customer service: Exceptional! Had a leak over our  [... read more]toilet, customer service came same day, fixed and followed to confirm there were no issues. Got locked out of mini safe, customer service showed up within 15 minutes. One day our room wasn't made up, we called later in the day and they showed up within 20 minutes. Pools: always chairs available. Music was a little repetitive but we were at the beach most of the time. Unfortunately pools were closed at 6pm daily for cleaning, which seemed a little early but the pols were definitely clean and in great shape. Value: terrific value for price. We'll definitely be back!!

Ocean Blue and Sand: Second round was even better

We went to Ocean Blue and Sun last year with the family in the privilege area and it was really good which is why we came back this year. I don’t know if they forgot about us last year or if they’ve added more options to the privilege club because this year we got a Nescafé coffee maker and a regular coffee maker, a beach bag and a toiletry bag with essentials. The food is always good in all restaurants. Best Mamajuana in the sports bar! The beach is fantastic. Float in the ocean with the gentle waves or walk for an hour in either direction. The sand is perfect. Everything is clean, everywhere. The grounds are maintained immaculately. Super comfy beds and pillows. Like every other resort, they have signs saying no reserving the beach chairs, but everyone does. One morning at 5 AM. We went to check the cabanas and most were all reserved. All the bars were good and the Michael Jackson show was pretty impressive. We really like the piano bar.

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: My 3rd visit

Still enjoyed my 3rd visit to the property. Food was excellent. Accommodation predictable and good. Golf course terrific! Staff very friendly as always. Weird shower design. There is nothing to stop the water on the shower floor going into the rest of the bathroom. Had to use towels to dam up the water. It was the same in 2009. Nothing changed?

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Senator

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Senator Hotel ! The hotel was clean! I enjoyed the fact that this Hotel resort wasn't too large! It wasn't crowded. The food was great! No long line ups! Thoroughly enjoyed the restaurants on site! The staff was very friendly. The entertainment near the pool was loud, and not always appreciated. We would escape to the beach. I would much rather have music playing..and have games away from pool.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Resort was good

The resort was good. The breakfast was the best meal of the day. Made you eggs to order. The food could be better. I would recommend this resort and would return for a future vacation. Good atmosphere and staff would amazing.

Live Aqua Beach Resort Punta Cana: Beautiful Resort

Enjoyed this hotel very much. Excellent food, comfortable rooms, beautiful beach with lots of beach chairs available. Both party pool and quiet pools available. Staff always polite and very helpful. Enjoy!

Ocean Blue and Sand: GREAT RESORT

ROOMS WERE LARGE BEAUTIFUL BATHROOM GROUNDS WERE LUSH AND WELL KEPT. STAFF WAS AMAZING POOL BAR WAS VERY GOOD AT TAKING CARE OF YOU VERY FRIENDLY.ALWAYS LOTS OF FUN AT THE POOL BAR WITH STAFF ENTERTAINING SINGING AND DANCING. NICE BUFFET RESTARANT DOWN AT THE BEACH BEAUTIFULVIEW OF THE OCEAN. A LA CARTE RESTAURANTS WERE GOOD THE STEAKHOUSE WAS THE BEST AS WELL AS JAPANESE.RESORT WAS NOT NOT OVERLY BUSY WHICH WAS VERY NICE.BE BACK IN 2027

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: So So Resort

Beach and Pool very nice plus Food was good. The power in our room which was an ocean front constantly would flick off then on then off no hot water always just warm. No face cloths no beer in the room and no service at the pool .

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: EL BESO is the way to go!

Very clean, great food (and fresh), great people, friendly employees. Peaceful on El Beso adult only side. Big resort, lots to do and see. Bring crocs to wear, lots of walking! The train helps, and is very convenient. Speak Spanish if you can, most employees don't know much English. Beautiful views everywhere. I had a blast! Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Almost a great place!

What did I like? It is a beautiful Resort with multiple pools and the beach/ocean all in a surprisingly compact area. I did not play this trip but the golf course and its facilities look amazing! Air Transat flies into Punta Cana. Why? La Romana has an airport! If I had known this ahead of time, I never would have booked the trip. We had a 1.5 hour bus ride from the airport to the resort (and then back again). The bus driver never went slower than 130 kph and people were KILLED on that shuttle the day after we arrived! The male staff were great. The female staff were also with the very noticeable exception of those working in the bars and restaurants. To say they were indifferent would be an understatement. To say they really don't give a rats behind if you ever see your drinks would be closer the the truth. No smiles. No interaction. Their attitudes were "What the Hell do you want?" and "Why the Hell are you bothering me right now?" All with a miserable look on their faces. The buffet was fine but it seemed like it was the same food every time. A limited selection. There had to be 400 people in the lobby area for karaoke night. Everyone was having a really great time. And then we were suddenly stopped so that some performers could put on some crappy show. Within minutes, the lobby was empty. What a stupid move! Verdict Eliminate the bus trip and put a smile on the female servers and this place is close to Heaven.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: HONEST OPINION

This hotel was large enough to keep us engaged but not so large as to overwhelm us with large crowds. We had a swim access pool room that was recently painted, with a recently tiled private patio, with trellis screening; only 8 feet from a newly installed pool. This was our haven. We could venture out to the beach, enjoy dinner or hang out at the main pool but when we tired of having others around, we could retreat to our quiet oasis. There were two associated adjacent hotels that we could venture to that provided some shopping, though a little more variety of goods would have been nice. The food was good, with the exception of breakfast sausages that were hotdog wieners in disguise. It made us wonder how many were put on plates but rejected to the waste bin. I only mention this because it is easier to talk specifically about a singular fault than to praise the variety of food that was available and enjoyed. Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Nice resort

Great resort lots to do we are golfers the golf course in nice but pricy we bought the 4 day package for $72 each a round but it went up to $92 for the 4 day package March 1st US funds which is expensive when your golf is included the resort itself is huge lots to do. The rooms are nice the bathrooms could do with some updating other than that everything was fine

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Not recommended

We travelled to Royalton chic 25 th of February to March 4th, 2026. Overall good resort in the beginning, foods not good at all. I had only pasta and pizza during my stay there as their food wasn’t good. Room looked like clean but last day we realized my husband having some rashes on his skin. We thought it’s like allergies or reactions to something. We we returned to Canada and my husband didn’t feel well, he had visit with his family doctor and he said it’s be bugs bites. Serenade Punta Cana Beach and Spa Resort: Terrible Resort

Want food poisoning, rude staff, and barely edible meals? This resort delivers all three. We saw staff treat multiple families horribly, and heard the same complaints from nearly every guest we spoke to. After hundreds of resorts around the world, this was by far the worst — we won’t be coming back..

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Vacaciones de relajo

Been to punta cana many times all Different all inclusive ., and this was our first time at the caribe deluxe princess ., just have to say that we would never go back!! The minus is more than the pluses !! 1- services at the front desk awful 2- got there and the music was country music in English I was excepting salsa merengue bachata none to be found 3-food out of 10 a 3 not good !! Grand Palladium Punta Cana: I would give it 4 stars

Resort was ok food had teste but menu was always the some , rooms need update specially the bathroom , cleaning was good Lots of vendors on resort and beach a little annoying entertainment was poor Over all 4 starts not 41/2 Good for a young family with small kids

Emotions by Hodelpa Juan Dolio: Okay resort

The rooms were very clean. My air conditioner wasn't working very well and I told the front desk and they said they would send someone to fix it, but later that day it was just the same. The beach was okay, a lot of seaweed and not much shade to sit under unless you were a member. Constantly hounded by staff to sign up for a very expensive membership that wasted 2 hours of my trip. It was an okay resort, kept very clean but would not go back.

Serenade Punta Cana Beach and Spa Resort: Terrible Avoid at all costs

Hotel Serenade Punta Cana was a terrible experience. Rude staff, terrible food that seemed reused, broken room service app, and poor service. My wife got food poisoning, and guests were treated like inconveniences.

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: Not happy

Staff was not friendly or helpful . Never had any pool towels . Two days once before we could get clean pool towels . We had to chase the cleaning staff to clean our room , even when it was cleaned they never put fresh towels in the room .We went to eat dinner on evening thinking we had an hour to get there but it was all cleaned and packed up . We had an excursion. Booked through air transit we were supposed to get our money refunded because the trip was cancelled because of weather. We are g [... read more]oing on two weeks now and still no refund.. entertainment was horrible and I always started 30 minutes late or more each evening. It was the same every evening just dancing.. The resort has no other fun things going on the whole week we were there.. I would never return .

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: A wonderful holiday!

Blue Bay is an older, but well appointed resort. The grounds are well kept…lots of paved walking paths, lush greenery and beautiful walkway to the beach. Three pools, swim up bar, beach bar, spa and a great entertainment team to keep you active and smiling. Buffet restaurant offered delicious food 3 times a day. If any one went hungry….that’s there own fault.
