Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Nice, quiet, friendly resort.

Beautiful beach! Buildings, pools, gardens...all look very attractive! We were greeted with champagne and great hospitality. The food was a little less than before but we knew that before we booked. Breakfast was my favorite meal, pastries, eggs etc. And the fruit was amazing! Entertainment at night was wonderful! Overall a very nice stay!

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: A Nice Place for Vacation

The hotel was well groomed. A variety of different food meals were offered. Many excursions and warter sports were available. Gym was in a good condition. Beach exercises were nice. Staff was very friendly.

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Loved this resort!

We travelled to Royalton Punta Cana in April, and look forward to returning there! Our room was Diamond Club 1 bedroom presidential swim out, and it was amazing! It had been 10+ yrs since we travelled due to serious injuries from a car accident, and then Covid. I was a bit worried how I would handle a resort with my mobility issues. This resort was not only beautiful, it was the perfect resort for us! Located in building 6, we were central to both the lobby and the beach, with the restaurants in [... read more] between, it was less than 4 minute walk anywhere, even with my limitations. We've never booked a swim out room before, but will every trip we go on in the future! The Diamond Club pool was clean, and usually not very busy. We either spent our time here, or on the beach. 5 of our days here we booked a Cabana and we would definitely recommend this! Maria & Theresa are wonderful! Price is $99/day, which includes either champagne or Corona, as well as a bucket of ice with bottled water (ice is regularly topped up). Your lunch is served to you there so you don't really have to go anywhere if you don't want to! You should get coupon booket from Diamond Club which includes cabanas $25 off/day (we had 3) The beach was the most beautiful I've ever seen! Although the waves can get a little strong, it was only really bad one day we were there. It's always kept extremely clean! We didn't use the other pools, so I can't really say what they were like. We did take the trolley to Splash for the waterpark, which my husband and daughter enjoyed. It's very simple to take trolley back and forth. It's the best of both worlds, as Royalton Punta Cana is a bit of a smaller resort (perfect for us), but you're attached to Splash, so also have access to the water park and their restaurants as well. Restaurants were great! Our favourite was definitely Hunters, where we went 2 days. Also went to Zen (Japenese) which our daughter loved! and even my picky husband liked the food, and Mexican restaurant at Splash (felt the servings were a bit small here, but food was good). Other couple days we chose to eat at the buffet (due to only late reservations being available) which we felt was good. Favourite server there was definitely Yonathan (who also works at Hunters) Staff in general was wonderful. We really liked the staff in the Diamond club, and our daughter found someone in there (sorry, forget her name) who made her daily ice coffees, which according to her were "even better than Starbucks". Our Butler was Omar, and he was good. He would find us everyday to see if there was anything we needed, arranged for us to go to the local 'market' to buy soveniers to take home (Free taxi...it's a little further than outside the gates, but money goes back into the Dominican economy, and you get a drive to see the area as well!), and arranged a wonderful surprise for us for our anniversary dinner. We would be happy to have him again. Most everyone we encountered seem to go above and beyond for us. I wish I could remember more names! Our travel agent Martine through Tripcentral was wonderful, and extremely helpful to this anxious traveller! A few things that made our trip even better, and that we would recommend and do again....book the lounge at the airports. We booked them both ways! We also booked private transfer to and from the resort through our travel agent. Even though transportation was included in our package, paying a little extra for this service made a huge difference to us! All in all, we loved the Royalton Punta Cana, and will definitely return!

Royalton Antigua Resort and Spa: A little disappointing.

Grounds are well maintained, beach is very nice. Service levels varied, some staff were great, others, not so much. Drinks frequently came after we had finished our meal; meals sometimes took a great deal of time; we had to call on three separate days to have a room fridge topped off: I found the selection at the buffet limited and frequently the servers meted out portions that looked like they were trying to ration the food. sometimes had difficulty getting the attention of servers et [... read more]c. Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Needs a face-lift

Nice hotel that has great potential but maintenance needs to be done . Had a great time but wouldnt pay the price we did to go back. Many things were broken including the pool bar counter and we were there 12 days and still wasnt fixed . Rooms were dirty and broken doors and mirrors.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing resort and beach!

I can't say enough about how lovely this resort was! The service and people there were so accommodating and lovely and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The beach is the nicest, most clear beautiful beach I've ever seen! Definitely the highlight of the trip! The food was pretty good and the quesadilla at the beach bar was delicious. Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Great All In

The Royalton Punta Cana Upon arrival to the Royalton Punta Cana we upgraded to the Diamond Club and were introduced to Denis. Denis was our Butler for the time of our stay at the resort. Denis was amazing and he helped us with booking of all a la carte restaurants and was very caring and attentive. The Royalton Punta Cana is [... read more] a nice hotel located on Bavaro beach. The beach (12 miles long) is beautiful with powdery white sand and turquoise waters. The beach is clean and maintained daily. The staff at this resort are very helpful and very friendly. The food is good and if you are a fruit lover you will enjoy the wide selection of fresh fruit. The best a la caret restaurant was Jade offering Thai food. In addition to several a la carte restaurants and a large buffet there is a coffee shop offering a variety of coffees, pastries and gelato. The resort also offers a few stores with beach wear, jewellery, perfumes, accessories and snacks. There are daily shows, kids club and yoga sessions in the morning. There is also a casino and a Martini bar. This resort is great for both families and adults (the Hideaway section of the resort). There are opportunities for excursions, sports and other attractions at additional cost. Overall for value I would recommend this resort as it meets the all inclusive standards.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Returning guest warning!

Fantastic property but in need of urgent improvement in areas of the management, coordination & renovation. We used to come to this hotel during Sandals & it was our 11th time this year. When we arrived we couldn't get a room that we wanted & indicated during our booking with Trip Central back in February. The first room that we've got had a broken safe, no balcony screen & sunken bed/mattress on one side. The second room that we've got had no balcony screen (but they managed to bring one to [... read more] us), without 3 towels per person as it is standard in all hotels (but only 2 during our entire stay), had broken roof & a flood happened during a heavy rain. The food was basic in comparison to the previous years, lack of variety. Sunwing who apparently has some shares in this hotel as well, obviously doesn't care too much about addressing & fixing the current issues. Too bad for this fantastic property with great location & landscaping.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Royalton Hicacos is no longer a Gem or 5 star resort

The change in management of this hotel is hurting the historical reputation of this hotel. The Canadian management is inferior. It is all about the money .. in their pocket. They do not do anything for the traveler/guest. They have this ridiculous butler system that was incorporated a few years back. A butler is instructed to accommodate so many guest units. They hang around your unit in the morning, noon and night. They ask you if there is anything they can do for you, so you tell them, and the [... read more]y don't follow up with you. They don't get back to you .. because they don't care, but expect a tip at the end of your stay. A tip for doing what? We have been going to this resort for 11 years, but never again. It was better under the Sandals brand. Sandals was not broken, but Royalton is. Maybe when Sunwing completes its sale of aircraft to Westjet it may have a better influence on the management of this resort. What do Canadian companies know about managing resorts in Cuba. Absolutely nothing. They are like American companies, using the money model, and not the customer model. We requested a certain room in 2023 that we have preferred and obtained in the past. But not this year. We even had a second option that we did not get .. and we booked our trip 2 months ahead of time, like every other year. Look, this resort doesn't care about you and me. They care about the almighty dollar. We spoke with the so-called senior management and it's nothing more than lip service. As a loyal guest for many years we did not feel special in the least. Just another number. We have better things to do with our money than to give it to a management team that doesn't care. Sandals went beyond the call of duty for their guests, Royalton .. absolutely useless.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Great place to stay

This hotel is comparable to any in Europe south of France etc. grounds are exceptionally pretty and clean. The food is the best in Cuba however still needs a lot to be up to Canadian standards, the fruit and green salads were fresh and very nice. I would stay here any time.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Great staff excellent experience

Service was great plenty of food and drink choices, the pool and beach was fantastic, rooms were clean everything in working order. A two hour drive from the Airport but well worth it. We were there two weeks and want to go back again. John/Fatima

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Amazing Beach

Very nice vacation the staff at the Royalton are very friendly and go above and beyond. Beach was best ever. Food was good no issues . Just a couple of suggestions: 1) restaurants should post the menu each day so the wait staff don’t have to struggle. 2) more veggie options The resort is 2 1/2 hour bus ride from the airport . Guillermo and Maria were great.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Best beaches

Beach is stunning, gorgeous and clean. Staff is very friendly. Food selection limited. Disappointed that guava was not served every morning. Eggs should be served right away instead of asking once plates filled at breakfast buffet and waiting for attendant to ask if you want coffee. Being served eggs once I've finished my plate lessens the experience. I'm okay with eggs being rationed (beyond the resort's cobtrol), it's just the sequence of when they're served that could be made better. Long bus [... read more] ride from airport (90 min). Room could have been cleaner when we arrived. No cream liquers available. Don't bother with the pizza, not their specialty, its really bad LoL. Very quiet and calm resort, party is at other resort which you'll have access to, 5 minute cart ride. Despite the limitations it was great for a short vacay. No sargassum on the beach, just white sand and turquoise water. Beach with some rum and coke is all we really needed.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Not worth it

16 of us, ages 9 and up. Booked Diamond club, worth it if you want to eat at restaurants in the Royalton Punta Cana which are definitely better. Grounds were nice but accommodations/washrooms dated. Food was typical all inclusive, nothing spectacular. Games (billiards, air hockey etc) required $$; for what we paid, should have been included. Not much for night entertainment, no disco, only sports bar open late. We did enjoy the Rock show.

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Resort was top notch

Staff were fantastic. Food was amazing. Kids had so much to do all day. Drinks were definitely not watered down!!! Our butler’s were top notch. Fridge was stocked each day. Due to sargassum the beach we didn’t use, but the pools and lazy rivers made up for it. Kids loved the water slides, bowling, trampoline. Vibe team had games going for kids and adults.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: 4th time at Royalton Hicacos!

The Royalton is truly home away from home for us. Beautiful grounds on a beautiful beach. Warm friendly staff who want you to enjoy your time with them. Some rooms are updated and modern, some are in need of a refresh but you get that old Havana feeling. Food was pretty good considering the shortages they have to deal with. Go with an open mind, don’t expect perfection and you will love it. We did.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Beautiful and clean Resort

In this review I need to mention, this is our 4th trip in Punta Cana to different resorts. We are not picky and adjusting to any situation. This is a beautiful hotel that was kept clean all the time. The beach was (lucky for us) clean from seaweed and so is the water. The travelers in the hotels beside Royalton were having trouble getting to the water because of the amount of seeweeds in and out. Big enough for a couple with 1-2 small kids, but the bath tab at the entrance is more suitable for a young couple. I kept all our stuff away so the room could be clean easy, but the service was only to change the towels and fix the beds. Food: We are not a restaurants people. The buffet in the morning is like all other resorts as well is dinner that we have been in the Dominica. Entertainment: We liked it very much for a change from other resorts we have been.

Very clean, professional and friendly staff and amazing food. We had a fabulous vacation and any time we asked staff for anything they were always quick to respond and wanted to make sure we were always having a great experience.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Beautiful Resort!!

A week at the Royalton was absolutely amazing. We went there to celebrate our honeymoon and babymoon. The beach was breath taking and the staff were amazing and kind. The general manager went above and beyond to make our stay amazing and we appreciate him so much! We can't wait to return next year to this beautiful resort. We miss it already.
