Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great place

Resort, food and staff were excellent, wasn't to crazy about the room but we didn't stay in it that much. Resort was huge however staff made it easy to get around. I would go back if I had the chance, it's a very kid friendly place but caters to adults as well.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Fun trip

The buffet was excellent. The Junior room was suitable but smaller than I expected. This hotel is part of 3 others and you must take a trolley to get to the beach as it is too far too walk. However the beach was lovely

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: We bin in Bahia 3 times. We love it. Exellente.

Everything is vary good except washrooms by the beach. You need more of them and clean them often. Most of the times they were dirty. Love the beach, it was always very clean. I never use the pols. Sometimes it vas hart to find chairs. You should get more of them.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: good for money and weather in February

Clean, nice grounds, pools, beach is bad, but pools make up for it. Good food. Customer service is abominable. AirTransat representative was dismissive and condescending and lied that we can not check in for return flight on line, because on destination it is before 72 hours (was not true at all - I did checked in on line between 24 hours before flight).

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Gorgeous place!

I loved the food! I loved the staff!! I loved the snorkling!! I loved the pool! I loved the kids club!! I loved everything everyday. I would have given it 5 stars if the manager and front desk staff would have helped out with my problems with the air transat staff. I received a bland email with an apology and nothing else. Hotel was beautiful , the food was very good, the beach was very nice, nice pools, the people are nice special Miguel at the restaurant by the beach .what impressed me the most was how clen the place was no garbage anywhere

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: A most difficult experience!

First of all this facility is too large. Trying to service adults18+, adults with children exclusive and general family areas just does not work. We were in the 18+ Amber area which is divided into 3 areas. Thankfully we were in area 1 close to beach and facilities. Amber 2 and 3 are further back and quite a ways from most resturants and importantly the beach. The pool at Amber 1 is where all activity takes place and is very lively. There are just too many people looking for too few spaces. This is really apparent on the beach which is very beautiful and great. You must get there by 6am to place belongings to get your place. This is supposed to be a vacation not a race at crack of dawn to get your chairs. We were told that the 18+ Amber has over 1000 rooms so space does not meet this number as per pools and beach space. Another real issue is resturant reservations. This is insane! We took previous advice and sent requests prior. We did get most choices however requested times were all over the place. Two were 9pm which was too late for us and when we tried to change it was a fight and time consuming with no success. The desire of the management is for the guests is to use the buffets and not the individual specific resturants. We were told repeatedly that they were fully booked with no availability. This was totally false! We observed every time at most 50% occupancy ...unbelievable! We requested a meeting 3 times with general manager to talk about these issues to no avail. They made all the right noises but I in our estimation only talk. To the positive the resturants are very good particularly Rodizio and the beach front bar lunch. Staff in the food facilities were very good which was a bright spot . Our low rating for service is not the general staff but the management staff. Rooms were good however as previously stated location is the key Amber 1 older rooms vs newer further away. We did have a very unusual experience on the day before we left. Room was not cleaned by 4:30- when my wife returned room was open with the cleaner sitting on the bed charging his phone on our charge system...unbelievable! We wrote a formal complaint with again no reponse. The grounds are beautiful and we'll kept with workers constantly working. In conclusion we usually do not complain and usually suckl it up. We were not impressed with the overall resort however there were bright spots. You wait for a winter get away pay good money and expect maybe a few minor issues. This was not the case.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Nice resort with a few hiccups

The resort is very clean and beautiful. The beach is gorgeous and someone rakes seaweed all day long. We had a room in royal golden. Nice size room kept very clean by our housekeeper who was super sweet. We never saw any cockroaches or bugs of any kind. The fridge could be kept a little colder and air conditioning. Also, we found the service at breakfast from the servers to be lacking. What ever you do, do not sit at a table that has instant coffee on it, you may be yelled at lol! Service was better at lunch and dinner. The snack bar by the pool was crazy busy. On about day three we found a lunch buffet that is the bbq restaurant at night that was much more peaceful. I just didn't find this resort overly relaxing. We had to get up and down to the pool and beach to reserve a chair of you were out of luck for having any shade for the day. Believe me, you need it. Weather is hot and beautiful. We travel twice a year and have never seen chair saving like this. We also had problems when we arrived. We did not receive a welcome drink which is no big deal but would have been nice. Then when we got to our room neither of our cards worked. We were told someone would be right back. Half and hour later we called front desk and no one answered. Finally after an hour, we just got on the tram and went back to the lobby ourselves. It was just a bad start after a crazy flight with air transat. Over half the plane was university students that took up all of the flight crews attention. They were blaring music, partying and pretty much out of control. I even had to line up at the back of the plane to get a coffee.(Not like we could sleep!) Then we had to wait on the plane while the police came on and arrested two of them. I swear the longest flight of our lives! On the way home, our luggage was delayed and we were over an hour waiting for it. Not sure what happened there?? Not sure I would book with transat again, It really left a sour taste in our mouths. We also never received turndown service which apparently was on of the inclusions. We also had to drag our own luggage down to the lobby on check out as well after 2 phone calls to the bell boys. That aside, we did have a nice vacation. We loved Tehani at the lobby bar. Lilia at royal golden is amazing at her job and went above and beyond. All the swimup bartenders and beach bartenders were awesome! Mary at the spa gives the best massage! Not sure I would return because the service was too inconsistent. I also prefer a smaller resort that is less crowded. Beats the weather in Canada though!!

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Relax and Enjoy or Party all day!

We enjoyed our stay at the Luxury Bahia Principe Runaway Bay so much, we could have stayed a month. The staff was amazing at every turn. Clean,Fun,Entertaining,Great Food,Great Bevies! So much to do or do nothing at all! Would go back in a heartbeat!

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Outstanding resort!

We were a group of 6 women aged 39 to 66 years and we had a blast! The accommodations at this resort are first class, clean and in great shape. No repairs needed anywhere that we could see. The staff were awesome! What ever we needed, we were responded to immediately. The Dominican people are beautiful people both physically and in spirit. They are always happy and ready to have fun with you. The food was fantastic, judging by our weight gain!!!! The drinks were excellent as well. The only shortcoming for all of us was the beach. It's not the nice wide sandy beach that you can walk for miles in the sunshine on. But the pools made up for what the beach lacked. We would most certainly return to this resort again.

Just returned - Feb 12-19th - great resort, long beautiful beach - not white sand but still great - perfect for walking, great food, clean, amazing staff - there are bugs so bring your own spray though the resort does spray in the evenings - amazing time

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: will think twice before going back

Was very disappointed in our stay this time,have been there before and really enjoy ourselves. Options plus was awesome. Always had to ask for washcloths and lotion. Plug in bathroom didn't work,either did phone. Asked for wake up call and baggage to be picked up the morning we were leaving and husband who is in his late 70's had to carry our luggage down 3 flights of stairs,then we dragged the luggage down the road until we found someone to help us. Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Nice Resort, however too far from airport

The staff was always so friendly, food is great. Resort was pretty clean, the grounds could use a little more pizzazz, it all looks the same. Rafael was our favorite. Always coming over to our table even though he may have not been our waiter. Unfortunately the downfall of the trip was the hour and forty minute bus ride back and forth to the hotel and airport, something in which my travel agent should have informed us about. Lots of things to do, the beach is gorgeous.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: The resort is beautiful and has great amenities

Wonderful staff, everyone speaks English. On the negative side, avoid room 25101 as it is next to the maintenance room and is very noisy, lots of staff congregating outside your room from early in the morning.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Good low key resort

Resort is clean food is good. You won't get sick. The beach where the nice sand is there's ticks in the water. Where there is no rocks there is no sand just crushed limestone. Nothing to do here. Entertainment non existent so your basically shut down by 10. They have shows but my sons kindagarten class has more talent. If you want to just lie down and waste away for a week it's perfect. Lots of sun you will get an excellent tan.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Awsome resort. Totally beautiful. A Paradise.

Everything was perfect. The hotel its self was beautiful and very clean.The front desk was very informative, and the food in the restaurant in the lobby was fantastik. Coffee was amazing also in the lobby. The people there are very friendly, and nice. I felll in love with the Dominican people. They are so sweet, & work so hard. The ground's are simply beautiful and well kepted. Can't wait to go back again.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful Resort/Friendly Staff

The resort is part of a five property complex where you can visit other resorts via a quick tram ride. It felt like a little town and let us visit new places with our two small children without leaving the resort. Our kids loved the water park (so did we as the water if not deep and we could relax park side)! The beach is beautiful. The pools were great. Very well run, beautiful resort. Rooms, pools, grounds and food are wonderful! Staff are all very friendly and kind. Check in and out was very easy. Many activities at the main pool if you would like to take part. We could not drink the wine at all :(

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great Stay

Great value, for what you are getting. Lots of activities and amenities to keep you busy all day and the service was very good. It's definitely a more family oriented resort and was mostly pretty quiet at night. You never saw anyone get out of hand and the bars on the resort were pretty tame. The beach is nice enough to lounge on, but don't expect to go swimming for long periods because the water is a bit rough and the lots of areas have rocks and seaweed. What a gorgeous resort. The staff were wonderful, the facilities were beautiful and clean, the food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were flowing and incredible! We will 100% be back! Loved it!
