Playa Pesquero: Beautiful and relaxing resort

The room were very spacious, beautiful and clean. All the staff were pleasant and always ready to help. It would have been the perfect vacation if the food service had been better. No sugar free drinks, no sparkling water and the bar was lacking a lot of drinks. The menu in the restaurant was good but most of it was not available. eg. no tomato sauce and juice, no hot dogs in snack bar, etc... We were in the Premium section and I found out that it was still worse in the other section. The beach [... read more] was one of the most beautiful I have seen in all my numerous vacations. I would go back anytime but would wish to see improvement in the food service. However, the ice cream was delicious. Not a friendly place for diabetic person because of the lack of food and acceptable drink.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort

I love Royalton Hicacos and spa for it's impeccable service,maids for my room were just the best you leave a Service my room they do it promptly, and when I ruffled my bed before supper, I came back to my room and they re did my bed wow, food for me was great 👍, staff and managers at front desk were very helpful and friendly always made shure I was satisfied, bravo team Royalton, bravo,5 star plus for me!!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Memories flamenco diamond club

Rooms need some TLC, well kept grounds, always running out of drinks cups and for some reason you always have to ask for a spoon at the buffet, mostly minor stuff, nice lobby with good service except for the older bartender at the diamond club bar that was only interested in serving and flirting with young ladies and didn't care about any one else waiting to be served, just trying to get laid I'm guessing, a total asshole, stayed on the third floor Jr. suit ocean view DC, second night there my [... read more] wife wakes up to water on floor on her side of the bed, it was coming from the celling, we were on the top floor and it rained a bit that night, went to the DC office seen an older dark haired lady and reported the water in the room to her, she was not interested in listening to us, just wanted to give answers before the questions were asked, told us not to worry about the water in the room because it doesn't rain in Cuba, we were shocked to hear that from her, overall a great beach and decent time at the resort but could of been a lot better

Playa Costa Verde: Amazing and nice resort

Over all it was good experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful. But there were shortage of napkin. Not only that I had issue with sand flees. I got a lot of skin irritation. Beach and swimming pools, Restaurants were Okay. Gym and medical center was not bad!

Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Great hotel

Great hotel, service and an amazing beach, which are my top priorities for a great vacation. Cuba is always a little tricky for vegetarians, but the food at the buffet was good. Pool side snack bar had great service and offered veggie sandwiches. The restaurants however weren’t very good. Not sure if the regular chefs were on vacation that week but was very disappointed with the food. Overall we had an amazing time

Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Great hotel

Great hotel, service and an amazing beach, which are my top priorities for a great vacation. Cuba is always a little tricky for vegetarians, but the food at the buffet was good. Brisas Guardalavaca: Amazing resort!!!

I would like to start of by saying that I have been to Holguin many times over many years and by far the best hotel I have come across! The food selection was great with many options for everyone. The grounds and interior of the hotel were kept impeccable. The staff were very helpful and kind. The beach couldn't get any better and the entertainment team had something for everyone as well. Pricing for this hotel was perfect too.

Grand Memories Varadero: Beaches, pools, and staff were amazing!

Our room had some issues which required attention. Some that could be fixed and were attended to right away once we made management aware. The food was tasty in the Ala carte restaurants and various dishes in the buffet were enjoyable. Service was great and the staff were so friendly!

Club Kawama: Hotel has gone downhill

Since a new manager has taken over, this hotel has gone downhill. It still has the amazing staff but the Manager has been spending money on all of the wrong things. He took all of the palapas down off the beach, he shut down the a la cartes for a whole week. There was no wine for a couple of days & then only limited amount of wine & never any white wine. Coffee bar ran out of coffee. He is making the staff upset. It used to be such a nice hotel until the Manager, Machine, came along. Gran Muthu Imperial: Relaxed and be pampered

Now that we have returned from our recent holiday at the Grand Muthu Imperial, I want to express our gratitude for the hospitality and professionalism of all the staff at this fabulous resort. Yadi from Sports bar, she is always very entertaining to watch as she made the most elaborate drinks. Carlos, Pino, Higteandro, Maceo Yanet, Grether,Asiel, Lince, Yoendry and Fatima from Lobby bar, they have bar tender traits that made our late nights a party atmosphere. Paradisus Rio De Oro: Great vacation

It's been my first time in this resort and definitely not the last one. I love this hotel! The pool was clean, the beach was beautiful, the service was amazing, the other tourists were interesting personalities. Most of people who I met there were either doctors or engineers or accountants which made me think that the hotel worth paying price higher than for other resorts. The food was good, it was a standard Cuban choice of meals in the restaurants, maybe variety was even larger than in othe [... read more]r hotels, all food was fresh. Some "Covid-time" techniques were adopted and were still in use, for example juices were in glass bottles, yogurts were in small glass jars, salads and meat slices were on small plates what added extra convenience we didn't have years ago. Also, there was a Japanese restaurant where we could get some sushi. Entertainment was great and far beyond the expectations. Vasti, Annabelle, Marianni, Meliza, Dayane and everybody else from the team did amazing job with keeping everyone occupied. I've tried yoga, beach volleyball, aquatic aerobics, walks around the hotel and everything was enjoyable. The night shows were not bad, the best of them was the Aquatic Show, it was amazing! The room was clean and spacious, all equipment worked well, no complaints at all. The only issue I had during vacation is getting some bug's/fly's bites on the legs, but I got them in other resorts too, perhaps it is common to get those "marks" in Cuba. Overall, the vacation was great. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. ------------- Not the hotel related, but there was another good surprise which came from Hola Sun and the OWG airline: we had HOT MEALS IN THE PLANE!!! That's what we hadn't had for years and it's now back. That part made vacation even brighter :)

Melia Cayo Coco: Wonderful resort

The grounds were well maintained always see staff working Staff very pleasant Close to the airport which was great Check in smooth Room spacious needs some updating though Beach beautiful and a nice pool Adults only which was great Food fair but they do have some shortages always something to choose from Lobby very nice and great entertainment Would go back and recommend

Hotel Los Cactus: Typical 3.5 star in Varadero

This hotel is very dated but kept very clean. The food is basic and the main downfall of this resort. The rooms are large but old. The staff is great. The shortages in Cuba are very evident here. We got what we expected for the price we paid. In my opinion this is a typical 3.5 star in Varadero. I will probably not return here mainly because of the food but i think it is worth what they are charging.

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Sol Rio de Luna y Mares

Just returned from Luna y Mares. It was my 3rd visit and although it is an older resort they have done a good job keeping it up to date. Pros: the view is as spectacular as ever, the ocean water warm and inviting. The pool is clean and just the right temperature. The gentleman tending the pool does a great job. The rooms have been updated with a new walk in shower, very nice! Most of the staff go out of their way to accommodate. I brought up several issues to the attention of the customer serv [... read more]ice team and they addressed them immediately. Yunoir (pron. Junoir), Gaby and Karalie were great. David the general manager is on top of things and was equally responsive to suggestions. There was quite a bit of litter and debris on the far left of the beach and he had it cleaned up the next day after I spoke with him. He also dealt with a few other issues in a timely manner. Near the end of my 2 week stay I noticed a large pile of plastic bottles and garbage in the wooded area on the right hand side just before the bridge that leads to the Paradisus. Yunoir said that they would have this cleaned up right away. I left before seeing it done, but I’m sure they have already done it. Cons: My biggest complaint is the music. Given the fact that the Luna side is still under renovation there is no quiet area at the resort, not even the furthest corners of the beach. On the right you get the renovation noise and on the left you get the music from the pool area. I tried several times to speak to Alex the activities manager to try and reach a compromise on the sound level, but could never find him and I wanted to speak to him first before speaking to the customer service team. Unfortunately, the mgrs. do not carry walkie talkie’s and therefore getting a hold of them is inconvenient to say the least. Management should either provide these devices or at the very least have the mgrs. accessible by way of a cell phone, as they all seem have one of those! Management needs to determine the maximum level that the activities staff are allowed to set for both the speakers and the microphone. One that is fair to all guests, because when you can’t even enjoy an hour or two at the pool or choose the furthest section of the beach and have some quiet moments then there is a problem! In retrospect I wish I had mentioned it to the customer service team right away. Hopefully, now that I have they may have made some changes. Overall, my stay was pleasant and I may return once the Luna side is complete. And don’t forget to tip whenever you can. They only make around a dollar or so a day, so even leaving 50 CUP makes quite a difference. At the time of my visit in Nov. 80 CUP was what you received for one Cdn dollar. It is important to note that they can’t deposit Cdn coins, so convert your Cdn. dollars to CUP’s. There is a small kiosk in the hotel that will convert your money.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Terrific vay-cay

Cuba’s beaches on the Cayos (islands), in this case Cayo Santa Maria, are beautiful - sand like light beige icing sugar and the smallest amount of seaweed (not like the Mayan Riviera at all). This small, adults only resort is very quiet, relaxing and laidback with entertainment every night and a staff that can’t do enough for you. Will return.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Good experience

The hotel was very clean and the staff was helpful. Nice beach. The food choice was limited but this is expected for Cuba. It was quiet except for one night when there was a party at the beach. Overall we had a good experinece

Club Amigo Marea Del Portillo: Marea was cancelled, we went to Cayo largo, Starfish

HOTEL STARFISH AT CAYO LARGO WAS GREAT THANKS TO SUNWING WHO TOOK OVER RESORTS. FOOD, BEACH, ROOM EXCELLENT. BEST VACATION EVER. WEATHER ALSO NICE. INTERNET WAS FREE BUT WITH PROBLEMS. HOPE TO GO THERE AGAIN.

Gran Muthu Imperial: Relaxing spot

3rd trip to Cuba, and 1st at Gran Muthu Imperial. Hotel is beautiful, grounds are lovely. Spent most time at the pools, but beaches were great. Travelled with my husband and 2 other couples who were returning guests at the Imperial. Covid had some affect on the variety of food but there was always lots to eat. We started our mornings with coffees/drinks in the snack bar where service from Yulliet, Laimy, and the others was great each day. Always helpful at the front desk were Rachel, Ismary and Yoenny, and Adriana and Jorge from Customer Service. Our dining was made better by the staff in the buffets Aimee, Laura, Maury, Osvel and Guillermo. Food and Beverage Managers Joan and Jean checked in regularly to see if we needed anything. Also Yordanis from Marketing, was always making sure we were happy. We had great service from Jeny and William at the pool bar. And in the evenings we made a regular stop at the sports bar to enjoy the daiquiris that Yadi makes. And we cannot forget the staff at the lobby bar Higteandro, Carlos, Pino, Maceo Yanet, Grether, Asiel, Lince, Yoendry and Fatima. And while we didn’t get their names there were the gardeners and cleaners that kept everything looking nice.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Beautiful and clean!

This resort was pretty great for the most part. Second time coming here, first time was a bit better food wise and the shoes were a lot better at night! Covid has effected the type of foods they can receive and they had less money to spend on acts for the shows. But, the food was pretty good and everything was kept pretty clean! Staff was super friendly! Had a great time!

Memories Trinidad Del Mar: A lots improvement

This is our 4th stay at this hotel We see a lots improvement since last time Food is much better too They need to invest more in renovating rooms Rooms are clean Stuff should speak more English They didn’t have napkins so they used toilet paper We like it because Trinidad is so close and so many things to see around Enjoyed lobsters at local restaurants
