Tryp Cayo Coco: Excellent Value!

Excellent value for what we paid. Beach is amazing! Very old but nice resort, rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was good, lots of fresh fish and meats every day. Restaurant at the beach has good food and good service. Would go back again!

Muthu Colonial Hotel: great time

We traveled as a couple Mar 20-27 2015 and had a great time. This is our 2nd time here and we definitely will be returning. Miguel and Rayden as usual served us wonderful drinks and tried very hard to make our scoody doo's and came close to the real thing without the proper ingredients. Sol Cayo Coco: Liked it a lot and will return next year

Grounds were beautiful and room and hotel were very clean and well kept. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Staff at the front desk were not as friendly or helpful. We purchased the Premium package and were very disappointed that we paid the extra money but did not receive all the perks we should have. When we return, we will just book an ordinary room.

Tryp Cayo Coco: 3rd time at the Tryp and it never disappoints.

Cayo Coco is my favourite area in Cuba. The Tryp has the best food, great variety. The people are wonderful. The hotel is set up for beautiful views and lovely breezes. Rooms are tired but clean and any problems are quickly checked out.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: LOVED IT!!

This resort, the people, the beach, the water AND the food were amazing!!!!! Close to the airport, was great too! The treatment from the staff was amazing, they were so caring! We went with five kids under 6, and they didnt want to leave...they loved the club house, lots to do a nice hour to get out of the sun, the staff there are very nice ...there is so much to do at the beach, the ocean was full of treasure for them...rooms were big adn cleaned daily- drinks replenished daily too...the food w [... read more]as amazing, great flavour and lots to chose from! We didnt care to do the dimond club, didnt think it was necessary- we were treated like royalty regardless! you can walk for hours along the beautiful white sandy beach- we highly recommend this hotel!!!!

Hotel Camino del Mar: Melia Cayo Guillermo - Nice Resort!

Just returned from this resort after a weeks stay with my daughter and grandson. We did a lot of research before deciding on this resort, and it was well worth the effort! It is a beautiful property with an awesome beach! The resort itself needs a lot of TLC, and the pier that is pictured is now closed off (even though people used it!), as it is unsafe, and does not look like the picture...this was VERY disappointing! All in all, it was a very nice, relaxing vacation.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Great resort!

Tryp Cayo Coco is a great place to go for a nice relaxing holiday with family or friends. The rooms area bit dated, although, throughout our stay they gave us a floor lamp, new curtains, a kettle and an iron & ironing board. So they are doing things as the items become available. The service of their staff is second to none, and always aim to please you!

Melia Jardines del Rey: Good for new resort

The hotel grounds were well maintained, beautiful landscaping. The hotel was kept clean always people picking up things that were left behind glasses, cups, papers on the floor. The rooms lovely, the room service came in daily so always fresh water for brushing teeth for drinking. The maids did a good job although maybe more staff needed. The dining area clean the only main issue was the days they did not spray & many mosquitos. The beach was nice although water shoes needed to get into ocean once in no problem. The beach was clean, there were many chairs available great service at beach bar, daily activities for children and adults one recommendation to entice people to participate possible offer a give away maybe a souvenir a bottle to winners other resorts in Cuba do so. The pool was excellent daily activities there too. The towel service was excellent always fresh towels. The pool had enough chairs, the pool bar good as well. The evening entertainment needs some improvement in a two week stay we saw maybe 4 excellent shows. The other nights there seemed to be not much variety same dancers & band & music selection. They did have dancing afterwards but at a certain enough is enough & DJ killed good party by putting mellow music. The entertainment team that ran activities had individual talents they should have put a show together utilizing their own talents. The biggest pet peeve was no toilet paper in the public bathrooms. No need to really try the restaurants nothing special buffet was phenominal with variety & service!!!!!

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Fantastic Vacation!

The grounds were beautiful, the beach exceptional. The rooms were well sized, but very basic. The food in the buffet restaurants was ok, unless you waited in line for the omelettes at breakfast or pasta at dinner-these were well worth the wait. Majority of the staff were super friendly and really accommodating. It was an excellent resort for families.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Great place!

This beach and water at this resort were amazing! The food was better than I had thought it was going to be. Drinks were great, the room was small and a little dark, but it was clean. I'd go here again in the future

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Relaxing ambiance

My review will focus on three things we liked and three things we didn't appreciate. Thumbs up: 1. Updated rooms, public areas, dining areas combined with good food. 2. Friendly and involved staff (serving, and smiling to you, even if you did not tipping them in advance). You ca sense the effort is made for you to feel in vacation 3. You can do snorkeling right of the beach, variety if fish and marine vegetation. Thumbs down: 1. Pool parties little to noise and too long for my taste, (my advice  [... read more]if you have kids or you like to take a noon nap, avoid pool facing room). 2. The beach is little rocky than expected, therefore bring some water shoes. 3. Beer cups are too small, I’m not a beer drinker but still to feel that I am drinking a beer I had to order 3-4 cups (150 mll each) at the time. (higher environmental impact)

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Wonderful trip

Great resort! Had a fabulous time! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of fresh made stations in the buffet. Whole resort was very clean and well maintained. Ensure to bring bug spray for the sand fleas. This could have been helped a little if the staff had raked the seaweed up in the beach every morning. Otherwise we had nothing negative to say about this resort.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Wonderful Vacation!

Super resort. Beautiful beach, great for walking and swimming (beach shoes recommended but you can manage without), lot's of chairs and shade. Grounds were well maintained and resort is easy to get around. Food was better than expected. Excellent staff who are always smiling and welcoming. Very family friendly atmosphere. Would definitely return!

Sol Cayo Coco: Relaxing vacation

Beautiful resort with very friendly staff. Very clean rooms and grounds. Bed mattresses could be a little more comfortable, but this is Cuba and was expected. Lots of food choices at the buffet, you will not be bored. A la carte restaurants were amazing. Make sure you try them. Fantastic location with two beach areas. One more calm with a longer walk to deep water the other more wavy and with a short deep entrance.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Good resort for the value !

This resort is 1&1/2 years old, clean and great access to the beautiful beach. We took the dolphin excursion with Pilar Beach, a must to take. The pool was lovely, the food, well its Cuba. The staff got friendlier as week went on. Weather was amazing and the drinks were cold !

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Great R n R !!!!!

Hotel and grounds were very clean close to airport Service was average- however- in buffet- Orleans- was awesome!!!!! a real sweetie he was! the only down part was in order to get a lounger in the shade at the pool and ocean- set your clock for 6am- it is disappointing when many people hoarded chairs at both the pool and ocean and did not utilize them properly!!!! - food in buffet- there were no warmers to keep food hot nor ice for items that should be kept cold

Hotel Mojito: Friendly Staff & Unsophisticated

Great beach, lotsa activities available, food nicely done. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Any problems were resolved easily and promptly. Cute little market within walking distance. Great for families and those looking for some down time.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Beautiful resort

A beautiful new resort. The staff go all out to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. If we needed anything in our room it was delivered very quickly and the staff followed up to make sure our needs were met. It is a big resort but well laid out. It was great to walk to different areas and wear off some of the delicious meals. If one does not want to walk then there are always staff along the routes to pick you up in their carts. The beach was beautiful, it was rocky in some areas but with water shoes we managed just fine. I have been to nicer beaches but it was still enjoyable. The nightly entertainment was very good and I would highly recommend the Michael Jackson show and the Pool Party show. The all day excursion to the mainland was a lot of fun and included many different activities, it was well worth the price of the excursion and our tour guide was excellent. The catamaran trip was ok but I would not recommend it. All in all I was very impressed with the staff whether it be at the check in counter, the buffet dining area, the pool bar and maid service. Although parts of the resort are still under construction it did not affect our stay as it is fenced off. It will be much bigger once that construction is finished so I am glad I went now before it gets too big and thus more people. The only complaint is that guests get up early and reserve "their" beach chairs and beach beds....I do not think this is fair to other guests but I don't see how that can be stopped. I feel so fortunate to have had wonderful staff who were so helpful and addressed my concerns in a friendly, timely fashion. Beautiful smiling staff, delicious food, great entertainment...all contributed to a wonderful vacation!!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful beach!

Amazing beach, friendly staff, food not too bad for Cuba. We enjoyed the Cuba restaurant as well the fresh pizza on the beach. Only small complaint was that it was impossible to exchange beach towels.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Amazing time!!!

Hotel Colonial is the oldest resort on Cayo Coco with beautiful Spanish buildings and grounds. Walking around the resort you feel that you are really in a different place. We booked an kceanvkew room and stayed in bloom 1600. This as truly and oceanview room with the amazing large pool on the other side of the building. The beach and water is out of this world gorgeous. They had p!entry of shade and lounges on the beach which was great as the weather was very hot all week...no complaints here. : [... read more]). This is the we one time that we have stayed at this resort. We noticed from three years ago that they are really starting to fix it up. This year the hotel was full so we did have to wait awhile for a for at the buffets. I would recommend opening other stations and keeping both buffet restaurants open for dinner during busy times. We had wonderful week at Hotel Colonial!
