Mar Del Sur: Needs Improvement

I understand this hotel is a BUDGET hotel but the staff needs to be more efficient. They take their time with everything which gets frustrating. English would help and a fresh coat of paint. Pool should be cleaned more and entertainment should be focused on the tourists.

Gran Caribe Playa Caleta: Decent resort for the price

The resort was overall fairly decent, very close to town and located right on the beach. Half of the rooms have an amazing view of the ocean. The food was okay but nothing special. If you plan to visit this resort you should brush up on your Russian skills, as most of the visitors at this resort were Russian. Overall, a decent place for students travelling on a budget.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Wonderful Resort!

We had a great time at the Iberostar, great food, great service. All the staff were so friendly! We would definitely go back! One of the best things about staying at this hotel is the beach, long walks on the sand! Wonderful!

Hotel Los Cactus: Resort wasn't up to the mark

Rooms were not properly organize, flush tanks wasn't working at all air conditioning broke.On site Maintainace people weren't there to fix this issues.Food wasn't up to the mark it wasn't fresh specially vegeterian food was not ok not enough choice for vegetarian food.

Paradisus Varadero: My favourite one so far!!

Can't say enough, everything was great!!! The resort staff, bartenders etc. were so nice!! The pools and grounds were well keep. The rooms were spotless. The beach was beautiful. We loved the pizza at the 24 hr restaurant. This is my 7th trip to Cuba and this is my favourite resort so far. I would come back to this one again for sure!!!

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Great vacation

This was the second time that we have been to the Ocean Varadera El Patriarca. We went for sunshine and relaxation and certainly got that. The resort was clean and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. Our maid was amazing and left some kind of blanket or towel animal on our bed every day to surprise and delight us. We also found that the entertainment staff were not as good at engaging people to join into the activities. Overall it was a great vacation.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Not a five star resort

Our room was okay but never cleaned until at least 4pm every day. Smelled like cigarette smoke but bearable. There's a coffee pot in the room but they never refilled the coffee. The food was the same every day. The a la carte restaurants were mediocre at best and the meat in all restaurants was always over cooked and dry. I would only give this resort a 3 star, certainly never a 5 star. Most of the guests were English speaking but most of the staff had extremely limited English.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Amazing resort

We had beautiful weather,food was good,staff friendly and helpful. The resort was perfect not to big not to small. I would definitely go their again . We took the local bus to into town a few time good restaurants, markets. Shopping

Brisas Del Caribe: Great Staff

Our trip to Brise-Del-Caribe started with a late flight and then on the bus to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel the front desk ladies were a wonderful sight and they checked us in rapidly. Our two week stay was incredible. We spent time; poolside, at the buffet and the many bars, including the coffee bar. We also spent a day in the city of Veradero. When we arrived Shawn had misplaced my backpack. He had gone to guest relations the next morning to ask if it was left in the lobby. Event [... read more]ually the guest relations were able to track down my backpack and had returned it to us within the hour. The backpack was left at the airport. DOH! Later that day Brian and I had to rush poolside and surprise Bebe and Margarita Junco as we had not seen them since Feb 2017. Shawn had spent 90% of his time poolside playing games with the Animacion crew, which consits of the great Yaidelin, AKA Bebe, and who can forget Margarita J with her children in tow. The others were just as enternaining, including; Darion, Bon Bon, and Alex. I had also taken a scuba course with the awesome teacher Raciel Serrano. Of course if there is a poolside you must have a poolside bar. The bartenders there are awesome, very tentive to all, Juan and Omar and others made it just as fun as the Animacion. The lobby bar, where we would often make a pitstop, were it be for breakfast on our way to the room or for any other reason, was staffed by Margarita, William, Boris and many others. They all took great effort to make sure Brian, who has a hard time walking, was well taken care of. Every morning we made a trip to the coffee bar for a double esspesso and a regular coffee. The coffee, as always, was great as were the coffee bar staff of Kiladys, Alberto and Armin. The buffet staff were exeptional, Julio went out of his way to grab me a new bottle of sauce. Julio and the staff of Margarita(3), Yeni, Roberto, Saito, and Lidy did an exceptional job. Who could forget the wounderful cleaning staff. Thank you for your great towel creations and cleanlieness Daraysis. Thank you Miguel A.C.Borges for the wonderful gift. Once again we will be booking another 2 weeks for February 2019. I would like to give a big thanks to all the people that helped and are helping with the aftermath of the hurricane.

Sol Varadero Beach: , Great service, nice people, wonderful beach!

Had a great time at Sol Sirenas Coral. We stayed for a week in mid-February and had a lovely time. We spent much of every day on the beach, with the white sand, beach bar and good waves. Clean rooms and common areas, good pool and pool bar. Often noisy at night, if your room overlooks the pool and grill area. Would go back!

Muthu Playa Varadero: Nice resort....

This is our 2nd time at this resort. Nice clean resort, friendly staff, decent rooms, decent food, the beach, of course, is beautiful. Well-priced. Would return there again and again. Good bang for the buck.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Love it!

Beautifully maintained property, great food, beaches and pools. Rooms could be more updated but it wasn’t a big deal. Bathrooms were clean and updated. Shower seeemed to only have warm water. But we had such beautiful weather it was refreshing.

Melia Las Americas: Great place

Great place I travel somewhere warm every year and this is got to be one of the best resorts and friendliest people I’ve ever ran into. I would recommend this resort to many of my family and friends.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Nice beach

The hotel was clean, nice beach, drinks were what you would expect from this caliber resort, staff was friendly, lobby bar was good late night. A la carte food was ok, the beach burgers were good, though the buffet wasn't very good.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Great Resort

Great resort with amazing staff that went above and beyond. Frankie, one of the entertainment staff, was amazing. He was funny and made an effort to connect with everyone young and old. He did a fantastic job at making our stay that much better.

Sol Palmeras: Great Place!

The grounds were beautiful with a nice view from the lobby. We also liked the pond and greenery in the lower lobby. Our room was clean and neat, the beds comfortable. The balcony and the furniture could stand a coat of paint

Playa Vista Azul: AMAZING RESORT AND TRAVEL AGENT

Where do i start? From the time of booking which was with Candice Anger, until we returned home was amazing. We have never had such a wonderful holiday and relaxing time, as we did on this trip. Candice took great care of us as i have mobility issues, and the staff at the ocean vista azul were very amazing. i would rate this agent as a 10+ and the hotel as a 10 + and also sunwing excellent. We will defiantly return to this resort.

Palma Real: Such an amazing time

I had such an awesome time on my trip! This is my second time at this resort and I will definitely be back!! The weather is amazing the beach is to die for and of course the rum and drinks are delicious;) Please do keep in mind though that this is a 3.5 star resort so you’re not going to have absolutely everything at 100%. But I am truly grateful for the culture and the beach’s. Vacations like these are what I live for. So thankful for Cuba and it’s amazing people 💜

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: You will not be disappointed!

Check in was a breeze! The reception area at Sanctuary is intimate, and allowed for a prompt, personal check in experience. Although we arrived earlier than the posted check in time, our room was ready and waiting for us! Our bags were delivered directly to our room by our personal 'butler', and we needn't worry about a thing. Each building has it's own 'butler' who was available to assist with any need we had, at any time! Despite the fact that we did not require his assistance during our  [... read more]time there, he knew our names each time we passed and often sought us out to ensure we were OK. It was such a nice feeling! In addition to the attentive butler service, the wait and bar staff was amazing!! The pool at Sanctuary was smaller, and not as lively or busy as the main pool at Grand Memories, however service at both pools was prompt and courteous. As for the pools, the pool at Sanctuary was great place to relax and enjoy some time with a smaller group. Although it did not have a swim up bar, there was a bar poolside which also offered some delicious eats! And a couple days they held a poolside lunch with lobster and other amazing food! The main pool at Grand Memories was home to guests of all ages, including the 'spring breakers' who livened it up near the end of our stay. It is a larger pool with various areas able to accommodate everyone! This pool hosted day time activities and contests, which were lots of fun! It also has a swim up bar where we spent much of our time meeting some amazing people! There was never an issue getting chairs at either pool, or the beach! As a guest of Sanctuary we had 'Diamond Club' status, allowing us to access a separate area of the beach if we chose to, as well as top shelf liquors at all bars. There was lots to do at the beach including volleyball, peddle boats, catamarans, aerobics and much more! It did get a little windy in the afternoon however so some water sports were not available later in the day. Food at this resort was delicious, and plentiful! The buffet, located on the Grand Memories side, had a Diamond Club section where we could always find a seat, and service was quite attentive. A la carte dinner reservations were made upon check in, and were available to us any day of the week! There was no limit. My personal favorite was the Cuban dinner!! Regardless of whether you are travelling as a couple or a group, Sanctuary is a wonderful resort with great staff, amazing service and lots to offer. You will not be disappointed!

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: EXCEPTIONAL

A group of friends and I recently embarked on a trip to Cuba where we had the privilege of staying at Sanctuary Memories in varadero. I don’t think that there is enough space here for me to express what a fantastic trip this was. It was made possible by the exceptional service, lodgings, beach, food and entertainment. Everyone from the grounds keepers to bar tenders to wait staff and mostly managers made our trip one of the most memorable I have ever had. The daily theme lunches at our private pool were bar none some of the best food I have ever eaten in Cuba. Hats off to the chefs. The two minutes walk to one of the best beaches I’ve been too was an added bonus. A reserved spot on the beach for sannctuary club members made it easy to find a chair and enjoy the beautiful beach. I give this resort a 11/10. You will not regret staying there.
