Everything was good at this resort! Only thing we didn’t like was all the seaweed at the beach & in the ocean. We aren’t sure if it was the time of year or if it’s always like it, but we made the best of it & still swam in it.
This resort is beautiful! The grounds are stunning and impeccable with beautiful pink flowers throughout. The staff are always courteous and polite and even though they are constantly dealing with the public, they never show any sign of frustration. Our room was huge, as I believe all rooms are. The bathroom is one I wish I had at home! Double sinks, large jacuzzi, walk in shower. All very modern. Bed was comfortable. The food was beyond my expectations! The salmon with teriyaki sauce a[... read more]t Takara restaurant was so delicious. Steak at Garden Grill was also very good. Good entertainment geared to kids. We didn’t go to the larger theatre. The beach is very nice but the entire Caribbean is dealing with the seaweed problem. Some days worse than others but one can still swim in the ocean. But my 6 year old grandson was bothered by it. So we spent most of our time in the pool. This is the smaller resort of the Bahia Principe complex. Great for kids! Loved it!

Grand Palladium Palace: Worst Resort Ever!
Very bad service
Loud, disruptive, not relaxing environment as a lot of renovations and construction is happening. Couldn't take nap with toddlers as they were fixing the roof of my room
First night the tub leaked on our new, unworn clothing in the bedroom floor
Toddlers were extremely thirsty when we picked them up from the mini club
One of our toddlers fell off a 7" deep curb while playing and hurt himself
Got scheduled for a 'Travel Club' breakfast, waited until 9am with toddlers (who i[... read more]s awake usually at 7am) only to be turned away from the breakfast
Had to ask for bottled water refills every day, one day we were told we had to wait until the cleaner arrives which was 4 hours later
Got told we couldn't take food out of the buffet to our room as we had a sick child who couldn't come to dinner therefore went to bed unfed
Japanese reservation was made on the wrong night
The hostess and servers at the El a Cartes were sooo rude. I asked one lady what is the average wait time (at the Oriental restaurant) and she said she cannot rush people to eat. Like really? Did I ask you this?? I just needed a range of wait time as I have two little kids who have a hard bed time!!
The buffet chefs were so miserable I feel like we were bothering them when we asked for grilled meat
The list goes on and on...
Worst place to go with two 3 year old toddlers.

Riu Republica: It was ok!
This resort was nice but slightly disappointing .. check in took way to long. A few buses arrived simultaneously and there were only 4 staff members to do check in .We were upset that we specifically booked with our kids to be in the same building as us and they ended up being ten minutes away on the other side of the resort . Very inconvienient when one was severely ill in the middle of the night.
Food was ok . Specialty restaurants were terrible. Waited 40 minutes for reservation only to fi[... read more]nd out that they were all just buffets with same food as general buffet.
Bathroom by pool was small and falling apart .
Our room air conditioner never worked right even though we complained and had it fixed and our two of our booked roooms had broken showers upon arrival.
Pools were warm/ hot. Not refreshing for June . No hot tubs or jacuzzi tubs on belconies which was disappointing considering adult only resort.
Entertainment was typical and boring .
Booked taxi to go to other Riu resorts for $20 round trip. Paid initial $10 one way , got to the other Rui only to find out they wouldn’t serve us there. When we tried to get taxi back to our resort they told us the taxi was now additional $45 but he would go down to $25. Had to walk back on beach . Took an hour! Should be complimentary transportation between resorts especially since only 5 minute drive .
Service was great! Bar staff went out of their way . Staff was friendly. Beach was beautiful . Lots of pool chairs available , and plenty of room in buffet restaurant. However would not go back or recommend to others .

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: 10th Year Wedding Anniversary very pleasant experience!!!
I will just say that my family had a very relaxing and enjoyable time at Sirenis. Was this hotel perfect, no it wasn't, but we didn't have any bad things that stuck aside from air conditioning in room. But we were given the opportunity to change rooms but decided to stay cause room was very nice. Food was surprisingly good at buffet with each night having different theme. We didn't stay on beach much cause our 7 year loved the waterslide park so much. Thank god because one day beach was closed b[... read more]ecause of jellyfish and the next day a shark! But we definitely had other options like the many pools, which we liked as well. Ohh ya the pools are too warm, which was weird, but still enjoyable. Entertainment was fun, especially for our 7yr old which she enjoyed very much. Very talented performers. Would definitely consider a return to this hotel especially after renovations are completed by December 2018.
Ty, tripcentral as well for the ease of buying this trip by phone, Danielle Payette. Sent all emails with everything you needed to make trip easy. TnxðŸ‘

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great resort!
The rooms were very clean, albeit the bathrooms could use a fan, but we weren't spending much time in the room anyways. The food was very good. Even if you're picky, there's something for everyone. The Italian restaurant was delish! I recommend the lasagna. Entertainment was good. Don't miss the Michael Jackson show! The pools are clean and the staff are pleasant. The shuttle bus drivers are very accommodating...shout out to Alejandro!!

Riu Republica: By far the best resort!
10/10 for everything except the coffee. Horrible burnt tasting coffee. And the cappuccino’s should all be made out of the real coffee machine not the push a button and it’s done kind. Other then that, beautiful resort and I’ll definitely come back!

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Don't recommend it here
The hotel is outdated, the buffet doesn't have that much of a selection. Employees barely speak English. We requested extra sheets 4 days in a row for our son who wanted to sleep on the pull out coach and we never received that or an extra pillow. The a la carte restaurants were just ok. If you go, make sure you do the seafood one, that one was the best. The housekeeping cleaning of the rooms daily was very poor. Beach and pool area were way too busy.

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Fun stay at Sunscape Bavaro Beach
Just came back from a nice family vacation In Punta Cana. Upon arriving we upgraded to sun club. It was around 380 for 10 days. The first few days we didn't think it was worth the upgrade but by the end of the trip we did think it was worth it. The room was very fresh and clean with a nice double shower. Only negative was that the floor got super slippery when wet.
The room overlooked the pool, which was fun for the kids.
Sun club also had its own lobby, bar and place to eat, the breakfast w[... read more]as nicer than the main buffet and you got better service and drinks there as well. Everyone who worked there were super friendly! Especially a guy named Nathan who made sure everyone was taken care of. He was always there to help us with various things and made sure our stay was as good as possible.
The pool was also very nice although it was a bit annoying that anyone could go there since there was no way of knowing if they were part of sun club or not.
The grounds of the hotel where very beautiful and there were several pools and places to eat to choose from. Our favorite pools were the relaxed pool and the sun club pool and our favorite restaurants were chopsticks and Sunny side grill. The pizza place was also great for the kids.
I also want to mention that the beach is not very pretty.
The drinks at the resort were nice, but their orange juice was disgusting and we had a hard time finding milk for the kids. One time we got it from a nice bartender at Flip Flops and another from the cafe. But it was a milk hunt every other day haha. And it tasted strange....
I also tried the spa which was excellent!
Overall the resort was great with lots to do and fun for kids. The negative are those annoying vacation club people who try to trick you into having a welcome breakfast when you get there. Trying to make you feel guilty that they would not get any points from their boss or whatever if you don't go and saying that the whole thing is only to celebrate the hotels whatever Birthday.
Another negative experience we had was the guy who works for Amstar who convinced us to take an excursion called Marinarium. He said it was great for kids and also the only excursion they recommend to pregnant women. Well we had one 4 year old and one 22 month old with us while booking this trip. We thought it would be fun to see some fish, stingrays etc. I had a naiv idea in my head that it would be snorkeling in calm clear waters with colorful fish. The excursion was basically a party boat. The snorkeling area was in rough water where we had to be dragged out in the middle of the ocean to a closed up pen area while holding one kid in one arm and the life ring in the other. Luckily the kids had their puddle jumpers on. We were only given some floating yellow belt that you strapped around your waist. Even my husband felt unsafe during this swim in the ocean. The kids cried and we had to swim back to the boat. When we left the party boat continued with blasting music. Also the net around the deck on the boat had large holes in it so you had to hold on to your kids as much as possible, they could easily fall off the boat. I got so angry with the idiot who said that this was a very suitable excursion for us. I should have done more research myself but stupidly enough we trusted that guy. Even our west jet rep later said that the marinarium is definitely not good for small children.
I am still so angry with that guy, sooooooo angry!
Avoid Marinarium if you have young children, especially if they can't swim and avoid it if you yourself are not a comfortable swimmer.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great Girls Getawy
Just back from a 4 night getaway with 8 girls. The resort is so big and has lots to do, there is something for everyone. Check in went smoothly and we were all located conveniently in an alcove in building 33 which was the half way point between the beach and the lobby, along with a pool just steps away. It was the perfect spot for us.
We had an issue with one room having a king size bed rather than 2 single beds but they quickly fixed that and brought in an extra bed. We also had a num[... read more]ber of issues with two of the safes in our group but the maintenance staff were prompt in getting it repaired. Had it not been that we had 4 rooms so close it would have been a bigger issue due to worrying about keeping our personal possessions safe. The only other issue was that the AC was not strong, so the rooms were a little stuffy and warm.
We managed to go to 3 ala cartes and enjoyed the meals and as they knew it was one girls birthday celebration they came out and sang and danced at each meal, making the outting more special.
The pools were great, so refreshing and spread throughout the resort. The carts taking you around the resort were regular and no issue if one was full to wait a couple minutes and another one would come along. All the staff were very friendly and always willing to assist. The beach was beautiful and you could walk forever in either direction. With the seaweed rolling in, staff were busy raking to keep it as clean as they could...not that the resort has anything to do with seaweed, that's Mother Natures issue.
The getaway was too quick but we all had a great time.
We had a great time during our stay at the Majestic Colonial. Our Butler Emmanuel made our trip so amazing! He catered to our every need and even brought us a dehumidifer.
We recommend this resort!!

Grand Bavaro Princess: Beautiful Resort
The hotel was our second stay. .grounds were spectacular..beach was clean and refreshing. People are absolutely friendly and warm..we stayed in platinum and will continue to come to this resort.
Family feel..great kids area..platinum lounge was accommodating..the only downside is the nagging from the vendors.
This was our first stay at an all-inclusive in over 9 years and we were there with our daughter, her husband and their 4 month old son. The grounds are lovely and well kept, the rooms very spacious and clean. We were on the family side, and our only complaint would be that the room was a bit musty smelling. The air conditioning was not overly cold, but comfortable. However, one night it went off altogether and the next morning when we called about it, someone came straight away to fix it and[... read more] it worked very well after that. We spent most of our time at the pool as we had the baby with us, and it was very relaxing. Lovely beach that one can walk for miles on, although much seaweed everywhere. Seems to be a cyclical problem in the Caribbean, and staff at all hotels were working hard to keep it cleared away. We did find the food in the buffets quite repetitious, but thoroughly enjoyed Taino - the steak restaurant. Not only did it have the best location right by the beach, but the steaks were cooked to perfection each time we ate there. The Japanese restaurant was also very good - great show, tasty food. Unfortunately the Mexican restaurant, while the food was delicious, was also the restaurant that made my husband ill for a couple of days, and we have since talked to two separate families who suffered the same ill effects after eating there.
All in all, however, a very pleasant stay - the lobby bars were very good, and the staff throughout the resort were awesome to a person. Super friendly, kind, and just lovely to talk to. They are to be commended. Would recommend this hotel.
Excellent room, staff and food. Beautiful grounds. Had an enjoyable time. Met all my expectations. The service was amazing. Would like to see an a la carte is restaurant serving Indian food. Increase the choices for vegetarian.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Amazing resort
I loved!! This resort every thing was amazing down to the staff, especially the floor manager Jesus in charge of the Ambra blue buffet, he made our experience even more excellent. Will 100% recommend this resort.
