Riu Bambu: Very nice resort

I went with my 10 year old daughter, the resort entrance is very nice and welcoming and the front line staff are very helpful. The rooms are amazing, clean and spacious. This is a nice place to go for a family vacation or with a group, whatever your preferences are, there is lots to do everyday, the food was okay, they have several options.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: great resort

The food ,grounds,service was great,the only part was the seeweed on the beach,but that was caused by the hurricanes,overall super.The only thing was the travel service was awful.Giving us different prices when we were 12.They should honored or atleast compensate with something for all the trouble we went through.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Incredible!

Hotel room that we got was pretty amazing. We had problems with the toilet and it took awhile for it to get fixed. Our maid kept our room nice and clean, as well as she got our fridge full! I would come back to this hotel in the future.

TRS Turquesa: VIP at Royal Suites Turquesa

We had a great stay at the Turquesa. Rooms at block 58. Positive: The rooms are big and clean. The minibar is replenish as per your needs however you will have to ask every day. The pools in area 59-58 are really amazing, clean and relaxing. Great secret pool area too. Food is good and plentiful. People are friendly and welcoming. Sport Center is awesome with plenty of activities to do. check out the Sports bar too that is open 24hrs. Great place to watch sports and eat. Negative:  [... read more]Sharks from the Travel Club that hunt you down like crazy for you to sit with them and buy. This is truly annoying. Entertainment at night is a bit lame. List of activities to do or entertainment at night is not really advertised. Beach is full of algae. A bit noisy in the afternoon at time since our room area is next to a dumpster or working site.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Not impressed

Food got progressively worse as the week went on, everything seemed to be recycled and reheated. I did not find the staff overly friendly, constant shake down at the pool by bringing out birds and monkeys for pictures. Then the best part, my 4-year old catches hand foot and mouth disease in the middle of the week. High fever for two days then the breakout for the rest of the week. I realize its not all the resorts fault but read other reviews, many families are having their vacations ruined [... read more] when their kids catch it at this resort. I would have thought the representative at the tripcentral location would have brought this up when we consulted with them but they didn't. Google is your friend so do your research, this place clearly has an issue with hfmd but neither tripcentral or the resort will admit it.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great pool and kids shows but....

The resort was ok. The pools were really nice and a lot of activities for the kids in the evening. However, the rooms could be cleaner, the beach was filled with towers of seaweed (which they picked up in the middle of the day with a large loud bulldozer). we wanted to upgrade but the guest services did not speak English. The buffet was ok. Service was not that great. the best part was being away with my kids. Overall was disappointed with the resort.

The Level at Melia Caribe: Meets the expectations

As a returning guest I was pleased with almost everything...One wired thing happened again though ! I wanted to get in the steam room but I was told by the "manager" that it was out of order and a "piece", probably a part was at the shop in order to be fixed...Funny thing that was the same answer I was given when I tried 2 years ago ! It looks that if you don't book a massage, they wont let you in!!!

Riu Republica: Incredible Resort!!!

The hotel grounds, pools, restaurants, beach, entertainment and staff were amazing! We had a fabulous time and would definitely recommend to all! Not one thing to complain about!! 5 stars all around *****

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Good Resort

Good resort. Rooms were spacious and well maintained. Grounds were nice and good for long walks. Food was good although drinks were limited to local spirits only. "Imported" drinks were $4 US but these were, as the staff said, "similar" to the original drinks that to my surprise were being served on bottles with original labels. Beach was the big disappointment; sand was good but the sea was full of algae, to the point it was disgusting to swim. Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: The Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro Resort is a excellent resort

The Grounds were extremely well kept. The people were very friendly, helpful & a pleasure to be with no negatives at all. The food was amazing very fresh, Incredible variety, hot when required wonderful ripe fruit ( Pineapples,Mango ). Our villa was #25 as we asked to be close to the beach ( 3 minutes ) also close to breakfast & Lunch pavilion next to beach, Limited beach area for each resort ( cabanas & loungers ) each resort had their own section. The only negative part was this particular time there was a lot of seaweed in the water & washing up on the beach, the resorts had groups of workers working 12 hours a day & tractors & JCB removing the piled up seaweed every day not possible to keep up while we were there. As a coffee lover ( I roast my own green beans to ensure the coffee is fresh ) the coffee in the resort was the only thing I had any disappointment with yes it was drinkable but compared to the food not on the same quality. So to sum up this resort was a fabulous experience defiantly recommended. I just remembered I did notice some very unsafe electrical outlets on the beach close to the restaurants, broken boxes with wiring exposed this should be repaired correctly. Thank you

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Amazing Resort

Just returned from a 1 week vacation with my husband. We stayed at the Majestic Colonial (colonial club). Beautiful resort, service was amazing, always someone asking you if you needed something. We had no trouble finding chairs at the beach or by the pool side. We ate at a different restaurant each night and were not disappointed. We had a ground floor swim out room which we had requested and absolutely loved. The entertainment was pretty good, we enjoyed the live music and even strolled over t [... read more]o the Elegance a couple of times. We enjoyed the live shows at night also, the theater is very comfortable. My husband especially enjoyed the sports bar where he could watch the hockey playoffs. The beach had a tremendous amount of sea weed just in front of the resort but we walked a few feet down the beach and found some great spots to enjoy. I would recommend this resort to my friends and family.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing resort and amazing staff. just need some reno on the bathrooms. The only disappointment I had was the POOR service of Air Transat. aircraft too small and no room to even move in the seats. they are not even trained to get people proper service., it is just another flight to these people.

I liked the hotel, staff, grounds etc. I think they can improve on the quality and variety of nightly shows offered. I also think they need to offer more chicken variety in the buffet at Amber Blue. The staff at the resort was most helpful in every way possible. i will highly recommend this resort to everyone and i will also definitely be going back there.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Great place!

We enjoyed everything! The hotel is spotless, staff is very friendly, service is quick, rooms were great and also the food was great. We truly enjoyed our trip at this resort and we would be happy to recommend to other people.

Occidental Punta Cana: Lovely resort

The resort was lovely however did not appreciate the harrasing “time share” salespeople especially after derogatory name calling. Food was great and the hotel is beautifully well kept. The beach wasn’t always clean as lots of seaweed however the pool made up for that. Excursions offered were really good especially La Hacienda which I recommend.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: was fun but can improve a tad bit.

we thought the place was great, but had a few issues that can be improved on. Between 7 resorts there was only one theatre and it was all in Spanish, which is a little hard to communicate, with service and staff. There was no program or any guides or anything letting us know of any events of anything thats going on, rather a little disorganized. They attempted to clean up the seaweed on the beach front but sadly didnt do that great a job so that got a little annoying. only other thin [... read more]g is the lack of bathrooms available at the pool and beach which is a little worrying. Otherwise, i think the staff still attempted to provide good service, we really enjoyed the beach front on the lawn chairs/beach chairs, the beach was still amazing and was nice to relax out in the sun.

Sunscape Bavaro Beach: Great resort

The resort overall was great. A few things that I wasnt happy. The music from the theater played too late as we usually had busy tiring days. The waiters at the buffet sometimes didn't ask us if we wanted a drink and took a very long time. The conceirage was not very knowledgable.

Paradisus Palma Real Golf and Spa Resort: Fabulous!

Excellent Resort. The rooms are beautiful. The grounds are clean and well maintained. The water pressure is good. The staff is friendly and helpful. Gardens are well manicured. We would go back. Variety and taste of food is great. Entertainment is good. No misquitous and flies to bother us at any time.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Great vacation

We had an excellent time at The Barcelo Bavaro Palace resort. My expectations were more than met. The resort was very clean and well maintained. Rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable (we were in a "family room"). Buffets and a la carte restaurants were all very good, lots of choices for everyone. The service was also very good. Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Dreams Punta Cana May 22-May 29

Pros: Affordable, nice weather, awesome pool, good activities, great entertainment, pevonia spa Cons: Loud resort- hard to sleep, terrible beach area (unusable), no hot tubs or adult-only area, limited food options between 4pm-6pm and 11am-12:30pm. Verdict: We wouldn't go back. We learned alot about what we want out of our vacations! Next time, we'll pay more!

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Amazing beach

Amazing beach, overall clean resort, great buffet food, amazing cocktails, great service, wheelchair accessible rooms and grounds. On the downside, the sand unfortunately was full of plastic straws and caps and they allow photos with exotic animals that are obviously abused (the handlers were hitting the money on the nose to stay put and the parrots had their wings clipped).
