Playa Pesquero: Excellent resort

They are having problems with the pool right now, we dont use the pool, the beaches are beautiful and very clean, the people at the beach that help with the chairs are very good, the food is not to bad but they need a better selection, no problem with breakfast, we had lunch at the beach some time and it was good, also the pizza is good, the people at the bar and front desk are amazing, the rooms are very clean, the lobby is spotless, they have a returning customers a gala dinner and the food w [... read more]as excellent, we gave been there many times. All in all we reccomend this resort.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Best resort in cayo coca

Resort is old but rooms are very clean and the grounds are beautiful staff are the best happy to help you always myself the food was good what was served and presented good I will be returning

Melia Jardines del Rey: This hotel was open one month ago...if we consider a mark between 1 to 10 then our mark is 7...0, then our mark

The problem we have it was with Tripcentral, we book the tickets but forget to check the medical assurance...and Cuban authorities asked for travel assurance in their forms...we asked Tripcenatral and they said they cannot do anything after we book the tickets! We took assurances from our company La Personelle... Thereafter, when we book from Sunwings the tickets online, they asked us to pay for the cabin luggage 50 dollars and we did...at the airport we told Sunwings that Tripcentral told us t [... read more]hey will reimburse our 50 dollars within 400 days, they said no, Sunwings they do this immediatelly and we should talk with Tripcentral...

Playa Vista Azul: Premium room prospective

States for 6 days in the premium section and will highly recommend it. We met the premium manager Arasay who was just amazing to deal with, alwsys helpful and alwsys with a smile. Carlos at the premium pool bat serves up the best drinks. Resort is very clean, and all the staff was so helpful. Now food is average and don't try any beef or land. Hotel has 2 beaches that is very nice.

Marazul Hotel: The Havana and ocean hotel

The feature I liked was the proximity to Old Havana and a free shuttle twice a week. Hotel is clean and friendly. Spacious patio with lots of seating. Large bright dining room. Great views and close to the beach with many lounge chairs. Rooms adequate and have big windows out to the ocean and breeze. Food delicious and plentiful. If there are blackouts( to save on limited electricity ) the elevators don't work for a two hour period. Free internet. Not a 5 star but an excellent two star hotel!

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Half of the resort is open

The grounds & resort & people are beautiful. They are just starting to run things back up again after covid, half the resort was open. There is a food shortage & it really shows on the resort, same food everyday.

Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Better than expected

Don’t believe the bad reviews! This place is beautiful. Food was delicious, no matter how picky you are you will find plenty of choices. Public areas washrooms are really clean, our room was well taken care of every day. The isn’t much to complain about. People are really friendly over there. Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Nice hotel

The staff are so friendly & helpful: numerous excursions organized onsite & were great. Beautiful beach. Pools are nice main pool was closed one day because it turned green. The food is what you would expect in Cuba. Rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Fabulous Vacation

Playa Paraiso is a beautiful hotel with wonderful staff. We stayed in a 2 room suite that was large clean and comfortable. The pools were clean, there were lots of chairs for everyone. The beach is amazing and the beach man is helpful with chairs. The buffet food is basic like most Cuban resort food. The fried fish for lunch at the beach bar is delicious as is the pizza at the pizza shack. The snack bar by the pool was my favourite ! Chicken sandwich and fries. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: very nice

The resort is old but very well kept, rooms large and clean, food at beach and alacarte good, buffet same every day. Beach is beautiful. The people that work there are great, so friendly and polite even to the rude people, it is not their fault there are shortages on items, they do the best they can.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Not worth the money

The resort is a 3 star. Outdated, underfunded, staff not very pleasant and food was disappointing. Would not return here ever. The only good thing they have is their room cleaning lady. She needs a raise.

Brisas Guardalavaca: Relaxing

Grounds at hotel are amazing.. seen workers doing maintenance every day with tree And bush trimming , my room was freshly painted and beds where very comfortable with clean white sheets that were not stained.. AnD nice pillows.. cold water in shower most of the week which was disappointing. Light bulbs seemed to be missing in lamps in the room.. dining- buffets looked clean and service was good. Food was ok ish.. nothing special always something to eat AMD friendly staff . Very disappointed wi [... read more]th a la carte.. seafood as in buffet other than the seafood that did have a lobster tail meal. Rest where buffet food. Was surprised with no tomotoes potatoes or luttuce and no fries AMD was served banana clips all week . Yucky.. I know things are at shortage now so maybe that's what was going on.. now I heard from others on different resorts they did have potatoes.. the drinks from lobby bar especially Spanish coffees where great AMD reception bar did a nice job also with different drinks . Music was very loud in lobby bar . Beach is amazing AMD most lounger where good.. lots of cjaors this tome of year AMD staff willing to help get u one of u needed one.. security seemed great.. reception workers where helpful and friendly.. we had a good week.

Paradisus Los Cayos: A lot to desire

This is definitely not a 5 star hotel. I would give it more like 3.5 stars, and that would be a bit too much. The Pros: The beach, Cuban coffee, the weather (lucky us!). The Cons: The price we paid for this hotel was not worth it. Food was no where close to a five star. Not even for one day we had deserts, except ice cream. Cleanliness was missing. Rooms were smelling of smoke, pool water was not cleaned even once. Broken glass in the pool and the beach bar area. Even after letting [... read more] the staff know, we cleaned that up ourselves because kids were running around. Very hazardous. Kids slides looked different than what you see on the picture, run down and unsafe. Alcohol choice was limited, and on some days they ran out of beer. There was a definite language barrier, as most employees do not speak any other language but Spanish. The worst part of the trip were the cockroaches, in the kitchen/ buffet area, on the trays with food in them. Maids were sweeping them off with a broom and that looked like a normal thing for them to do. I would not be returning to this hotel, nor recommend it to someone else. After speaking with other tourists from other hotels on our way back to the airport, they seemed to have had a better experience with cheaper hotels nearby. Clean, no cockroaches, lots of deserts, and friendly staff... and they never ran out of beer! Thanks to Adrian(buffet) and Jannet (kids entertainment) for making it somewhat better experience.

Melia Cayo Coco: Very comfortable, and absolute clean

Intimate space and on the smaller scale.... not far walks to enjoy all the amenities. Gorgeous white beach with plenty of seating. Pool very comfortable. dining mediocre, not enough variety but recession causes this. My room dated and needed re fresh. Evening entertainment terrible and repetitive. Not enough Cuban live music to be found. Love that Canadian currency is accepted.... bring lots of 5 bills and a roll or loonies and toonies. Hotel Playa Paraiso: Hot in buffet

Air conditioner is always off in buffet. Sometimes they open windows, but that causes too many flies When widows closed - too hot. Ventilation is important to prevent spreading of COVID-19 Shortage of hand towels in the room. Sometimes, toilet flush does not work. Strip of sharp rocks and seashells to enter the ocean Not coming back

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Fail!

Room was nice. Two hour check-in because of room keys not working. Reception staff was unfriendly. Beach view was not a beach view, but mostly another outbuilding. The grass was almost waist high and grounds were unkempt. The beach was dirty - cigarette butts, weeds with burrs growing throughout the sand, empty promise of cleaning (3-6 feet wide) sea kelp off beach (never done), broken boards in board walks. Scuba boat reeking of diesel fuel, making us sick from fumes on excursion. Jeep excursion was wonderful!! Buffet staff were super sweet! There were awesome friendly guys working around! Pools were amazing, and had great snack bar workers. Acrobat performance was top notch! Flutist was really good!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Love this resort

Good room and close to main building. Clean and wonderful and friendly staff. Fantastic beach with lots of marine life. Food was good although there was little in the way of vegetables. Wine was plentiful and flowing.

Hotel Rancho Luna: Hanging in there

Rancho Luna has made many updates to their resort since the pandemic. Many of the rooms have been updated - new mattresses, flat screen tvs, new air conditioning units, hair dryers installed and new tiling in bathrooms. Some of the pavilions have been updated as well. The restaurant on the beach is amazing and so beautiful. Additional seating has been added as well as patio furniture in attached private areas. Staff are friendly and do their best to accommodate

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria: Great Value

Went last Week Of Oct 2022, Paid $645 for an all inclusive, rooms were clean, but a bit outdated, but was ok,,fridge was restocked if you wanted with bottled water,,but no beer in fridge..food was ok,,your not going to get alot of food options,,but for sure the basics were there..lunch, supper,,pasta, meats,,pork,beef and chicken daily cooked in front of you,,every 2nd day shrimp was cooked,,,,in my many years of travel,,3 days out of the trip, they did not offer eggs,,guessing shortage,,so they [... read more] made pancakes instead,,which was good,,,cooks do a great job here and work very hard...went to a couple of la carts,,international and the grill, was really surprised they had a full lobster,,,beach , i heard from the time of season,,was a fair amount of seaweed,,but staff did there best to get rid of it...nice long walks on beach if you wanted...overall for what i paid,,great value,,would recommend...only downfall, is the 1 hour and 45 minute drive to the hotel...

Brisas Del Caribe: Amazing resort 😍

Spent another wonderful week at Brisas del Caribe our 22nd time to this amazing place. Beach is beautiful. Grounds looking the best we have ever seen. Staff are 5 star. We are treated to a suite that is simply beautiful. Only 120 guest most of the week so no lineups for food, bars or washrooms. Food was great in the buffet with Jorge making the best omelets ever. A la carte restaurant food was very good but shortage of wine all week. Treatment in a la carte restaurants by staff was perfect.
