Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Awesome 2nd Visit

Just got back from a great week at ABBWR (Akumal Bay Beach and Wellness Resort) Awesome staff at all levels. Several staff even remembered us from 4 months ago!! Service and attention to detail all the way. Also, the largest aquarium at your disposal right off the beach. Dinners were great and the little touches like finger cloths to freshen before dinner, the unique welcome drink in each restaurant and the wonderful selection make a huge impression. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Amazing resort

The people were awesome, the beach was great and no complaints on the food. I would recommend this resort to anyone❤️ We were in The adults only section and was great. Anytime there was something needed it was looked after right away and you received a call within a short period of time the same day making sure things were satisfactory .

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: This is a great resort

This was my second time coming to this resort !I find this resort clean and the food was great staff very acomadating! Although it is a large resort the trolley system is nice so u don't have to do too much walking! Especially love the wildlife!

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Great Location!!

The entire trip...right from the reservation to flight to shuttle to resort was so efficient and so easy. Making it relaxing from the moment we left. The flight was direct and the shuttle was waiting for us when we got through customs. The resort was small but clean and had just enough to meet our needs. Actually great value for your money. We enjoyed the food, the pool and the beach. We took a cab to zhiuatinjo and felt completely safe. All in all I’d give it a 5 out of 5.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Beautiful resort

Everything was great. The employees were extra caring and helpful. The rooms were very nice and very clean. The maids were super at there job and always left flower pedals and little animals made from the towles. The butlers were extra caring and always got anything you asked for in a very fast and efficient way. The restaurants were very well set up and very clean. Lots of food choices and excellently prepared and served and very good tasting meals.

Hard Rock Hotel Los Cabos: Absolutely First Class

Was one of if not the BEST all around resorts we ever been too. One downside is you CANNOT go in the ocean at all. All Restaurants were spectacular and the service of EVERY employee was the best we have ever seen.

Occidental Costa Cancun: Great Location

The food was excellent at the buffet and the a-la-cartes. Waiter Philipe at the buffet was very attentive. Room was very clean and our mini bar was restocked daily with beer bottled water, chocolate bars and peanuts.

Paradisus Cancun: What we needed!

Before I described the resort; I'd like to say that we travel every year to all inclusive resorts that are rated 4.5 to 5 stars. We are an active couple in our low 50's. Before booking this resort, I read a lot of the reviews which I will address. We went to Paradisus Cancun Royal Service. The Royal Service is worth it. The arrival was fantastic and fast. I do agree with the reviews about the very dimmed lighting in the bathroom; I literally brought my makeup by the patio door where the lighting was bright. Some reviews complained about the lack of English channels; this is totally incorrect, there were plenty of English channels. We had room cleaning service morning and night which was very nice. The Royal Service pool was great with good temperature water. Within RS, you have the La Palapa restaurant which is by the pool area with ocean views. It is absolutely delicious, we ate all our breakfasts there and a few lunches. There is one buffet and it is good; not the best I have seen but very good food. We tried all the restaurants; my favorite was Vento, Bana, Feugo. Mole was really good but we are not fans of traditional Mexican food. Our least favorite was Enzo. Blues Agave...we read the menu then walked out...not interested. In general, the food is excellent and the service is awesome and we never waited for anything. About the chairs and Bali beds; there are plenty of chairs and you have access to as many towals as you want. You are allowed 2 Bali beds for a 7 day vaca. By 11 o'clock, if there are empty, go see the pool manager and you should be able to get one. We were there for 10 days and I got one everyday. The beach is long on each side; you can walk for ever if you want. There are no entertainment around the pool at the RS. The staff is just great, they really make your vacation better. Kudos to Degner, the pool manager, Moises, Joel and Manuel around the pool. All and all, it is a great resort.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Wonderful Resort

Entrance - appealing. Arrival and departure excellent- efficient and friendly. Helpful. Grounds- beautifully kept. Has an animal sanctuary- fun to walk by and watch the animals. Kept clean. Bars- all friendly service fairly fast. Sports bar was a great place to get snacks in between meals. Main buffet- lots of variety to choose from. Tastey. One thing i would like to see would be a change of menu once in a while. It got a bit boring by the 3rd day. Same same same. Still tastey though. Enou [... read more]gh choices. Meat a little over done. Rooms. Comfortable. Right temperature. No drawers but lots of hangers. No charge for room service. Food came quickly though it said 45 min approx. Usually within 15-20 minutes. All staff were friendly and helpful. Pool fitness was fun on the bikes. Other things such as water volleyball, water polo if interested. Spanish or dance lessons if wanted. Pool chairs are comfortable enogh. Pool service is great but not long waits at the bar. Did not try any specialty restaurant. Distance to downtown is far- over an hour by bus. Bucerias about 40 min. Suggestion is go early and return early then busses are not full. About 36 pesos to Bucerias by bus. You can catch a little van transp and they charge similar. I'd take one of those if it were busy rather than the bus as you have a seat to sit on. They are fairly full after lunch til dinner. Beach is nice. Watercwas warm. Nice walks along the beach. Not a lot of shells. Entertainment - first for kids then adults. It was short, fun, cirque style and after they had music to dance to. That too was entertaining- got people up and dancing. Had a couple of dhows with it - very enjoyable. Overall a wonderful experience- just expect the food to be tastey but repetetive. Overall a wonderful getaway

GR Solaris: good but some problems

The solaris attempted giving us 2 different rooms that were below our paid booking, but offered ocianview rooms for an additional $280.00 US. Not acceptable since the place was not full. For the second offer, we were given a coded card, hauled our bags up to 4th floor room, entered and walked in on someone asleep in the room. It was 1:00 in the morning. Not secure, not professional, not acceptable. We are 2 seniors, arriving 4 hours late, due to flight and airport delays. They finally gave u [... read more]s an oceanview room. Food is pretty good, but the main buffet is sometimes closed, sending you to the "ballroom" where everyone sits a 10 person tables. Table -mates can very. As for ale carte bookings, they will "squeese" you in, make you wait 30 minutes, then you fine the place is half empty. Weird. Lovely staff. Great sandwich deli. Beautiful beach. Safe area for bussing around. We enjoyed our stay, but would probably give the gr solaris 31/2 stars.

Crown Paradise Golden: Great Resort

We have stayed at this resort multiple times and keep returning for the value, food and great weather. The a la carte restaurants are wonderful, but this time they were much more difficult to book. We had to line up at 3 the day before to book our favourite ones in the family resort. The French Restaurant was fabulous. The food and service were much more than you could expect from an all inclusive.

Catalonia Riviera Maya: So many smiles :)

I thought that Catalonia Riviera Maya resort was absolutely picture perfect and amazing. Everyone always had the biggest smiles and were so friendly and welcoming. I had an amazing stay here. Food, entertainment and good times was absolutely in abundance. Everything was clean and inviting. If I had to critique one thing it was that our room was really warm and seemed that the air conditioning was not working very well. Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: only average

Rooms need desperate updating. Food was average, not good but you can always find something to eat, the same stuff every day. I wouldn't call this a 4-star resort, we paid for the select club upgrade, to access premium drinks etc, don't bother because the upgraded drinks were not always available they seem to run out on a daily basis. The staff at the front desk never followed through with our requests, they say yes no problem, but nothing happens, very disappointing. The only thing that was great was the beach, it's beautiful. We were supposed to get bar service on the beach, it didn't happen. Wifi in the room is hit and miss very poor. For the money, we spent not worth it. There are much better resorts that are true to the star rating, I will never return to this place.

Crown Paradise Golden: Sorry they missed the mark

We stayed in the new tower (opened 6 maths ago). Great room. No chamber service day after arrival. General cleanliness of the resort was lacking. Staff overall were friendly and helpful. Buffet lacked variety and quality of food. Same fruit, same choices every day for breakfast. details...margarine instead of butter, Guacamole from a bag, packaged juices, poor cuts of meat, poor selection of veggies. A la carte restaurants had no ambience, lack of decor. Food was mediocre in quality and variety [... read more]. Japanese restaurant was best, Mexican worst. Reservation system was ridiculous and confusing as restaurants were dark certain days but information not posted. Dozens of couples turned away from 1/3 to half empty restaurants when they showed up w/o a reservation in the evening. General information about resort activities only posted at main pool. No daily sheet or room TV info. No idea what was going on the following day until posted manually on the board at 9 am day of!! Drinks inconsistent between bars. Sky bar 7 and pool were great. beautiful view. So much potential and easy fixes as this resort is well located and great social atmosphere.

Allegro Cozumel: Won’t go back

This trip was exactly what we needed for my husband, myself and our newest addition, our 2 month old daughter. We loved the beach, sun and diving. We will however not be back ever again as the food was atrocious. We didn’t starve or get sick, but it really was pretty bad. The only thing to eat at lunch was (cold) burgers and wedges/fries. T [... read more]he drinks however were fantastic. We arrived at the resort around 11 am big no rooms would be ready until 3! None, zero. There is no where else in the resort with AC. So our 2 month old started overheating by 1pm. No room available. They had a small office space they allowed us to sit in that had ac. Finally at 3 the front staff allowed us to be the first to recieve our room. Still had to wait an hour for the crib to be delivered and finally our baby could lie down for a nap at 4pm (we left our house at 1am for the flight). Air canada was disappointing, on the way home they only came around with drinks during times of turbulence, and refused to serve hot drinks because of it. Then we arrived in Canada and did not get any information on where to pick up our stroller and car seat. We found an air canada rep who told us to take an elevator up and wait. We did. Someone (luckily) noticed our stroller and other people’s walkers on the empty elevator, the doors opened with our expensive equipment but no air canada staff to unload!!! Horrible. No one let us know anything about coronavirus recommendations. So we of course stopped to eat/use the bathroom on the way home not knowing the government had asked us to self quarantine until late that night! Yikes.

Samba Vallarta: Beautyful resort

We liked very much everything was great the weather to and also the staff is very friendly the food is mostly Mexican the sweet table only 3*** but we wood go back any time and send friends to we burn to crisp

El Cid Granada: Very satisfactory

Stayed at the Granada and the staff were very friendly and pleasant. The Hotel lobby was very tidy and the rooms were very clean. Large studio rooms. Prices were were good. Only one complaint would be the constant phone calls the first couple of days from the welcome committee to invite me down to participate.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Fantastic resort

For once, the pictures and the reviews are entirely accurate. It was a truly wonderful 7 day stay and we're even considering returning next year. If you want a peaceful and luxurious getaway, look no further.

Grand Palladium Vallarta: Awesome holiday

Staff were incredibly friendly. Food and service was awesome Location was superb Overall the Grand Paladium met our expectations! Adult pool was relaxing at night Coffee was so good Fresh fruit juices and fruit was our staple

Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Always under construction

Pool was nice but swim up closed for 2 days for construction. Beach was nice but very rocky once in water. Food was delicious but some restaurants closed including buffet during our 10 days stay. No notice in advance as to which would be closed each day. Even music/sports bar closed two nights. Front desk didn't even know. There was construction somewhere in the complex for almost all of our vacation. and we were never notified at time at complex nor when booking (through our agent).  [... read more] First room had great location - especially for sitting with a coffee and watching sun rise. Got moved a few days in - told there was a water issue close to our room - second room was supposed to be an upgrade but it wasn't. Room was identical but ceiling was cracked, lamp shades were stained, view was blocked by trees and floor never got washed (in bathroom) for the entire stay. All that was good was the clean towels daily.
