Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Relaxing Time in Cayo Coco

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this resort. The staff was amazing. The food was not spectacular but still tasty. Our room, the grounds, and restaurants were kept clean and neat. This is a very windy area of Cuba so be prepared to have a constant breeze the whole time you are there. There always seemed to be a shortage of long chairs at the pool and at the beach with guests selecting chairs as early at 7 am. Of the four times we were there, there was only towels available once. The public washrooms were usually out of soap and the paper towel dispensers were filled with toilet paper. Not the best for drying your hands. All outlets are 220 volt, so you need to take a converter with you. If you plan on booking an excursion during your stay, you should think about taking cash with you. If you use a credit card, first they add 3% to the cost, then convert CUC to US funds when billing your card. That means you will also have to pay the US to Canadian conversion as well.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Wonderful Experience in Cuba

Resort grounds are beautiful and easy to get around. Rooms required maintenance though. Food was excellent and the beach lovely - some coral on shore but that added to the charm of the resort. Would recommend purchasing the Diamond Club upgrade - well worth the extra $. Evening entertainment was the best I have seen in Cuba. Appreciated that the resort was only a 15 minute ride from the airport. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely return.

Hotel Vigia: Good value resort!

This resort is located on the best section of beach in Cayo Guillermo. Rooms were spacious, clean, and any issues were quickly addressed by staff. Food was quite decent for Cuba. Pool area was nice but difficult to get a lounge chair unless there early in the morning. We visited some other resorts in the area, some were a bit nicer but were also more expensive. Sol Cayo Guillermo is a good resort overall for the price you pay.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Amazing Resort!

What a great vacation! We just spent 2 weeks at the Memories Flamenco Resort in Cayo Coco, Cuba & it was fantastic! The grounds were beautiful & well kept, nice clean rooms, really good food, fantastic beach & pool! The staff & people we met were very polite & friendly. We would love to go back!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Wonderful family resort

My husband and I recently returned from Memories on Mar. 11/2015. This hotel is wonderful with very friendly staff. Grounds were beautiful, food was very good and there were plenty of restaurant choices. This is an excellent resort for families.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Amazing resort

My husband and I just returned from our 11 nights vacation in Tryp hotel, Cayo Coco, Cuba. This was our 3rd time in Tryp and we will go there again. This place is a resort for every age. There is always something to do and the staff makes sure that you are never bored. The management is very helpful and try to accommodate you in every situation. The rooms are not top luxury but you have everything that you need and let me tell you matrasses are tops and some people said the same. Good bed to sleep in when you are on the vacation is pure pleasure. The staff is very friendly and we made few friends there over the time spent there. We are looking forward to go back again.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Cuba is always amazing

Gran Caribe Cayo Guillermo was quite pretty.. The concierge was fantastic There is even a blow up slide for the kids(I am the biggest kid) the water is VERY shallow and the beach is "narrow" (great for kids) kind of lake erie Kite surfers are dangerous but were having a lot of fun Snorkel excursion to the reef was nice BUT the nolitours representative was inattentive/lazy and NOT helpful. She cancelled our trip to Moron city then left a message with a different room(or so she claims) ...luckily  [... read more]we bumped into her the day before(as we were trying to get on the snorkel tour that she forgot to tell the operator we were going on) We got a refund but now we will never enjoy the sights and people of Moron city because she didn't offer a "different" idea.. Most servers were unhelpful(try to get a spoon) and front desk was dismissive Two of ALL the staff actually made up for all the rest

The resort was nice, it is not too big. Service was good, staff were friendly and helpful, always pleasant! Our room was okay, the beds were so comfortable. We enjoyed the beach and sitting by the pool. It was a relaxing holiday.

Hotel Camino del Mar: Amazing Vacation!!

My stay at the Melia Cayo Guillermo was fabulous! The food was good, the room was clean and comfortable, and the pool and beach were great. The staff are spectacular! I'm already planning my next trip!

Hotel Playa Coco: Shocking

Took the family for a holiday...... an d we had to move rooms because of the mold on the ceiling..... food was what you would expect....... The pics on the site must of came from when the place was first built, there is no way that they are current... no water pressure, toilets do not flush and the cleaning lady comes twice a week four and a half star NO WAY..... grounds have tripping hazards all over the resort and you'll be lucky if anything works like the hot tub..... will not be returning to [... read more] Cuba again..... good luck

Hotel Playa Paraiso: All over review

Pestana resort is very clean,staff amazing. Pool is very clean and easy to access.beach and ocean beautiful,, lots of loungers,which beach guy will put where you want them. Buffet is very busy,long lineups for omelettes and fried eggs, bacon was cold and under cooked,but the omelette guy will put it on the grill for you.staff will serve you tea and coffee,which is nice. Hotel Playa Paraiso: for such a busy week feb 20 everything was great.

washrooms were clean, food was good, beach was clean. overall a good time. pool area good. bbq area served good lunches. quiet resort with local entertainment at night. a la carte dinners were the only drawback. Food better at buffet area

clean washrooms , nice beach. good drinks, take the diamond club. polite servers ,.awesome pools all around great place. the more pesos you tip the better the service gets. take the local bus tour and flea market!

the grounds were beutifull the staff were very freindly the room we had was very clean the food was very good they had plenty to eat the hotel facilaties are very clean the pool area was very nice and pool bar was awsome and very freindly

Hotel Vigia: best beach ever

The beach is terrific especially for small children. Fresh fish dinners at hotel were delicious. Hotel itself could use some updating but spent so much time walking on never-ending beach that this was a small issue.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: awesome

Totally enjoyed my stay! If I could change anything it would be to have more comfortable beds(hard as a rock- and I like a firm mattress) and bedding that fit properly. The bottom sheet was not fitted, too small and every morning I would wake up on the rubbery mattress protector. Gross!

Hotel Camino del Mar: It's Cuba !!!!! Amazing resort

The rooms were clean except for towels which were not washed and belonged to some else with blood stains which ran under water as well as face towel which I had put on floor to change . Food excellent , staff wonderful

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Huge Hotel

The Hotel needs a lot more people to take care of the property , it could use more care on the gardens , my room was very clean. The food was good. and the service was excellent. The Shows and the activities are superb.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Very Disappointed

Visited Feb 28 - Mar 7/15 The service at this hotel is horrible. I travel to resorts 1-2 times per year and this is the only resort I would NOT return. The towels are only changed every 2-3 days and 1 day we got used towels. They smelled really bad. The beach towels have the same issue that they don't have any and you have to wait days with the same towel. They are not accommodating with any room requests. We were on the ground floor with a patio door that wouldn't lock. Asked to change and gave [... read more] 2 twin beds. They said that was our choice to stay in the original room or have the twin beds. The food was not great. They had french stick or hot dog buns. Had to wait in very long lineups for toaster or grill. I think they served leftover from previous night for breakfast. Had mashed potatoes and veggies for breakfast. Last day couldn't get an egg without waiting in line for min of 20 minutes for omelette. Had to wait in long lineup for drink or coffee. Very poor service. Bathrooms on resort are dirty. Did not like using the washrooms at lobby, pool or buffet. I can't believe they rate this resort as a 4 star as it is not close. I don't usually write reviews but wanted to give future tourists some of the issues at this resort.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: 3.5+ Resort

I would rate it an 3.5+. Good - Employees were very nice - Food was good - Pools are great. - The shows were very good. The one in the pools. - Mexicain restaurant was the best one. Not so good - First night was in an old room, too old to sleep in. Ask for a better room and we landed in a renovated room on the second night. This was better. Should get more new chairs - No beach towels for 2 days - For an Iberostar, it sould be better.
