Lovely resort but need some serious maintenance. Got things fixed but first 3 days we spent most of it waiting for maintenance to show up. Food was excellent at the buffets and a la carte too. Customer service very helpful.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Stunning resort!

We had a great time! Resort had plenty to do for the week. Beach is beautiful, nice sand and aqua blue ocean. Hotel grounds beautiful. Service was great at the Ambar too. We would recommend this resort for sure! Cheers!

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Beautiful

The resort exceeded my expectations The food was excellent with a vast variety of dishes from all over the world..Very helpful and friendly staff.Get the suite if you can it`s well worth the additional cost.I would defiantly come here again.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great vacation!

We have been going to Luxury Bahia Ambar for several years and overall have been very pleased with the resort, the beach, and the service received. We also enjoy flying out of Hamilton and have found that Transat Vacations do a great job with the arrangements.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing golf course

The hotel it self was very nice it could have used a fresh paint job inside and out in the area we were ! The grounds were very nice the food was great the service was great our room had two twin beds put together which wasn't pleasant .

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Excellent Resort

Hotel facilities were beautiful! The food at at the Buffet was excellent and there were always variety. The service was excellent! We were there during a storm and got flooded but they still moved our room. The beach was not very nice though. It was brown. It was private though.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Akumal 25

We found the hotel/resort(s) to be very well looked after. The staff were very nice. We have already recommended Bahia Principe Akumal to people looking for nice resort with great food, great drinks and great atmosphere. We went to all for resorts on the property which was a fun thing to do.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Beautiful scenery

Beautiful tropical resort , very clean but service was not the best ,very slow at the bars either at the pool or lobby . Great place to go for good food and families but not couples . Love children don't get me wrong but this resort was full of them . My drink had more chlorine in it from splashing kids than booze lol

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Very nice resort.

Beautiful resort with very nice grounds. Very polite and hard working crew. Good food even though it could be a bit more variety. Pretty much the same every day, but enough to try something new if you are not trying to eat everything at once:). Not much going on except some of the entertainment, but you always have the option to go to the neighboring resorts or Playa The Carmen if you like night life. It could ease-up the traffic during breakfast. If you got up a bit late and went for breakfast after 9:30 there were line ups to get into the buffet. Need a bit better organization in the dining room, but you are on vacation so a little wait shouldn't matter. Rooms very spacious and clean. I would rate this resort 4+ and would go there again.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Amazing resort

The resort was extremely nice, the staff were wonderful, the food wasn't what we would have expected from this resort. The Internet usage is not enough and especially when you want to contact the kids back home. Internet kept cutting out.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Great resort!

Lots of greenery, nightly turn down service (with chocolates), great food, good entertainment..only negative was slow service at lobby bar and staff could speak a bit more English..would recommend to family and friends

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Almost perfect

My wife and I have just returned from a week at the Ambar section of the Bahia Príncipe complex, which consists of five semi -separate hotels all sharing the same massive grounds and stretch of beach, and with a few exceptions (2 pools and several restaurants which are adult-only) all venues are accessible to all guests. Despite signs saying that such is not allowed, I saw no evidence of it being enforced. If you haven't reserved your spot, forget about getting a chair after 9:30. 9:30.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: beautiful resort!!

Relaxing, peaceful resort - very large resort with a cozy feel. You can walk for miles and enjoy the markets on the beach o en th shops at the strip mall. Food was amazing and staff make you feel at home.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Wonderful time at the Ambar

This hotel is just beautiful! The lobbies in both Ambar I and Ambar II are opulent, the rooms are huge, clean and well appointed with great bathrooms. My only recommendation for those who travel with e-books, phones or tablets is to bring a surge protector with multiple outlets for charging your toys, since there is only one three prong grounded outlet in the room - the rest are only two prong outlets. The Mikado and the Brazilian a la carte restaurants were hands down some of the best food we had ever eaten in a resort. The grounds and landscaping are immaculate, the beach is beautiful, the staff are warm and friendly and the drinks, wine and champagne just keep flowing. Lots to see, including the entertainment in the evenings - it's a great resort to kick back and relax at the beach or beside the pools at Ambar I (lively entertainment) or Ambar II (quiet and peaceful).

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great trip!

We had a great time in this trip. The westjet flight was top notch! Amazing plane and service. The hotel was nice as well. the people are really nice and food is good. Lots of selection. The only thing is that the hotel is really big. Just be prepared to walk a lot or take the trolley everywhere. And also, the beach has a lot of seaweed. They try their best to clean it, but it's all over your feet when you go into the beach. The pools make up for it though! They are beautiful.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Best view!!!

The resort is beautiful. The food is wonderful. Some of the rooms are starting to get a bit old. We prefer to stay in building 66 (on the beach, best view), but it showing its age. Low water pressure, leaking jacuzzi tub (flooded the room twice), musty/moldy smelling air conditioning, (we turned it off and used the ceiling fan and openned the door for the ocean breezes. We said no, and it took them about 20 minutes of computer searching and phone calls to get us a 3rd floor unit in #66. We were very happy with it, other than the air and the flood waters.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Wonderful vacation!!

This resort was amazing. Everyone from the staff were so nice. They always wanted to make sure you were happy. The view, no matter where you were was spectacular. I cannot wait to return to Grand Bahia Principe Cayacoa!!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great Resort Poor Management!!

Our trip started out great, the food at the buffet and the a la cartes is very good. The service in the restaurants and bars was great. The waitresses that work on the lobby patio are fantastic especially Sylvia Kodoo to her for being so great. Only disappointment was the service at the 24 HR snack bar or the lack of it. Our housekeeper was fantastic she helped us to keep our outdoor Jacuzzi cleaned and covered so that we didn't have to constantly pick all the leaves etc out of it. The room was  [... read more]very clean and always restocked appropriately. Our trip went bad when my boyfriend and I were in a Tram accident 2 days before we left. We were the only ones on the tram sitting in the very back seat when our driver put it in reverse and smashed into a golf cart parked behind us. Not expecting it we got a fairly good bump around. Enough for my boyfriend to badly jam his big toe which left a small cut and a horrible bruise. We also for the next day or 2 had a bit of a sore back and neck. We of course went and immediately reported the incident to the manager at Sian Ka'an (Marcel) who basically blew us off. We requested to see a doctor the next day due to the foot turning black and blue and were told the doctor was too busy. Then finally our last day they said we had to go over to the Coba resort to see him. At that point we did not want to get back on the trams and go over there on our last full day of our stay. Not once did Marcel check in on us to see how we were doing. I am very dis satisfied and it leaves a very bad impression on us the way they treated us or therefore lack of treatment I should say. A nice jesture would have been to check on us at least. But we received no communication like they were hiding from us. We were planning on returning in April to stay at the Shan Khan resort with our 2 kids but now I think we may look elsewhere. Very disappointed, Jacqueline

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Fantastic Resort

Not a single complaint. Service, food, cleanliness.... This resort and staff were amazing. The only think that is a good to know is resort is not on the beach (in the jungle) so a bit cooler ... But transportation to the beach is perfectly planned... Every 10 mins , and storage in the room is limited, but room is clean and gorgeously decorated.
