Melia Las Dunas: cayo santa Maria beach

March 9th-16th....the beach was worth every penny....weather was amazing....rooms were awful musty and showers were really bad never drained and towels smelt awful....the food was good never went hungry. ...but it was the same everyday.....service was great all amenities were great....would recommend it!

Hotel Camino del Mar: Relaxing Oasis

This resort has the best beach in the area, friendly staff, clean facilities, plenty of choices for food, clean rooms and great entertainment. Definitely not a rowdy party spot but a great place to relax and enjoy! While we were there the walkway over the water was closed as it is in need of repair and the tower was taken down I'm assuming for the same reasons so don't plan any walks down the pier, enjoy the beach instead. I don't know where these people stayed as we had a wonderful time and repeatedly commented to each other how nice it was.... if you want spice just try the salsa in the centre of the buffet! While we didn't eat off the prepared buffet (we took advantage of the omelette & poached egg stations for breakfast and the pasta station for dinner) we did try some things and although they may not be exactly what we're used to we certainly didn't go without ! If you need ketchup for your food you should bring your own but with all the other sauce choices I would suggest trying something new.....you might like it?! We ate in both of the a la carte restaurants as well and the food was very tasty, the entertainment in the International restaurant was simply amazing, we could have stayed all night listening to the trio.

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Lovely Resort

We stayed here for a week had a great time. Check in was a breeze requested 2 nd floor and we got it.. The room are clean nicely decorted. The beach is amazing the weather was a bit windy , but it didn't bother us at all. The food was good never had a problem there was always something to eat , we had 3 la cartes all good... The staff were all very friendly always a smile on there faces....Lots of live bands and music which we really enjoyed. The drinks were really good ...I don't understand why people wrote bad reviews we have been to Cuba dozens of times not once were we disappointed...........

Melia Peninsula Varadero: A little bit of heaven :))

Emerald green water ...,sapphire sky.....crashing waves .....22 km long white sand beach !!! We just got back from Melia Peninsula after a Feb in Canada with temps of 25 to 49 below zero. Every day was beautiful and sunny with temps around 26 ....the ocean was warm too. The resort was in every way amazing. Check in went smoothly and we were driven to our immaculate room #29 since we had asked to be near the beach. It was a short walk through a sandy path to hundreds of chairs and natural umbrel [... read more]las so you never had to worry about getting a shady comfy spot. We went on one excursion ....the catamaran to Cayo Blanco .....wonderful day but one reminder ....don't bother snorkelling in Cuba .....they just don't have the reefs nor the fish. The staff were extremely friendly and we tipped often .....in our room ....at the restaurants and on the beach. The food selection is incredible so even though Cuba is not known for its food ....here you couldn't help but find something you liked from tasty omelettes in the morning ....barbeques by the beach at lunch ...and don't miss the Japanese restaurant ! You can tell from picture that the grounds and pool are gorgeous.....they are refacing/updating each building but you are never bothered by noise. All in all our vacation was memorable thanks to Melia Peninsula :))

Melia Jardines del Rey: Fantastic experience at this resort!

This resort was perfect for me and my family. The room was very clean and new, the buffets were large with a great variety of food, the a la carte restaurants had great service and great selection of foods, the pool was huge and the beach was picturesque!

Melia Las Antillas: The resort is a little dated.

The grounds and location are awesome. We have been to Cuba several times and this was my least favorite resort. The food in the buffet was not top quality at all. I'm not a fussy eater but you wouldn't gain any weight eating at the buffet. The a la carte restaurants were better but seemed ordinary overall and portions we small too. I hated the fact that if we wanted a bottle of wine with dinner it was extra. The elevator was broken, dirty shower head in our room, missing toilet seats in the lobb [... read more]y washroom and extra dirty and dated bathroom too, our check-in was rushed and not very professional. We upgraded to the 5th floor but it was not worth the extra money. We ate off the resort at least 3 or 4 times and the food is much better.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY

there SHOULD BE A RATING HIGHER THEN 5 FOR THIS RESORT. It is exceptional in grandeur, cleanliness, genuinely friendly and helpful staff. The beach is spectacular. The buffet restaurant is outstanding. It far outpaced my expectations. Champagne is offered at breakfast and otherwise. That sums it up....definitely a champagne experience. The only thing I would have preferred would be deeper swimming pools.

Melia Cayo Coco: MELIA CAYO COCO

back for our second time, liked it so much , we took another couple , they in return thought it was a great place and would go again next year. Great food, friendly, clean, they can't do enough for you, always something going on. Entertainment was enjoyable.

Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Old & rundown resort, expected more for a Melia

The grounds where well kept and beautiful. I was in bldg 8 and found my room was really run down, most of the grout was missing in the ceramic floor tiles and ants were always in the bathroom. The maid was good and washed the floors daily. The public washrooms in the lobby & pool area were not well kept, could smell the urine and toilets always leaking down the side of floor, 1 toilet even had the lid missing, after going there twice I started going back to my room with the ants, at least it was [... read more] clean. The stretch of beach though nice, the water was deep after a few steps, would not take small children there, the water was rarely calm when I was there. Also disappointed with the food, the fish in all the restaurants was mainly basa, expected better.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Resort was fantastic

Beautifull resort, immaculate, so friendly. The grounds are beautifull and well kepted. We were so impressed and will want to go back. The food was good. So many choices from Buffet to a la carte. Perfect Ambience. The beach wow! And it is right there, one minute away. We are so happy with the whole trip. There is even a Rep. in the main lobby every day if needed. Felt very safe. The Reserve at Paradisus Punta Cana: Great for Families

We enjoyed this resort very much. The food was great (especially at The Grill), our room on the 3rd floor overlooking the pool (Master Suite) was perfect for our family of four. My kids (6 and 8) enjoyed the kids pool and playground at the Kids Zone. The best part was the comfortable beach and pool chairs and beds! The staff was attentive and kind. The only negative was when they try to get you to attend a 90 minute presentation to sell you on becoming a member of Club Melia!

Melia Las Dunas: the resort was everything that I expected

everything was great the people are amezing this resort is a place if you want just to relax and it also has a lot activites, the beaches are amezing the music is great the drinks are up to date great fish

Melia Jardines del Rey: It has potential

Resort will be great once fully completed. Expect construction crews and noise to be a part of your stay. Short power outages are the norm at least once a day. Staff was wonderful, nice rooms, food was good, gorgeous white sandy beach. We enjoyed out stay.

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Still the best staff in the Caribbean.

Just back from one week but planning to return very soon for friends anniversary. This hotel has the best staff of any hotel anywhere we have stayed. The building is charming especially when lit at night. The beaches awesome with two snack bars at either end. A la carte restaurants all good. Our favorite is the French, Mexican and Italian. Fonzy and Williams meet us at the bus on arrival to take our luggage, Juan Carlos, Arnoldo, Edder and the desk staff are so organized you have your braceler a [... read more]nd room number in minutes. Franco,, Vladimir, Paula, Giacomo and Junior are some of the hardest working bartenders you will ever meet. Sadly our favourite and long time friend Ivan was not there this time. At the buffet see Roger for the best fish in the Caribbean. No one cooks better or hugs more people than this chef. This year we met Enrique who is a new chef with a passion to make dining an even better experience and who can hopefully get the culinary staff the food and tools they need to make that happen. Starfish Cayo Largo: Excellent vacation with good value

Enjoyed our stay! Excellent service, good food, beaches are spectacular! Accomodation was more than adequate - only negative was lack of hot water most days. Not a lot of other things to do on the island, so would recommend for people just wanting an excellent resort experience.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Nice Resort

Nice and clean resort. communicating with staff in english was problematic. especially when trying to explain food allergies. but we were able to find someone who wrote down our concerns on a note and we would show the note to the chef's, cooks etc. overall, nice average place.

Paradisus Punta Cana: The Paradesus is an awesome resort!

the grounds are immpecable and are constantly being maintained. The buildings are excellent in cleanliness. the food was well prepared and delicious with a lot of choice.All of my expectations were met and exceeded

Sol Varadero Beach: Best resort in Cuba

This is my 3rd time at the Sol Serenus side of the hotel and we just love it there. The staff are great, so friendly and helpful. The food was good, not always what we are used to but many choices, no one need go hungry!! Would not go to any other hotel.

Melia Marina Varadero: Amazing!!

It a very clean hotel, with very modern style . The view of the marina is simply amazing ! The staff are very nice specially jany and yamilka just to name a few.The day and night entertainment are very very good! I will return to this resort anytime!! And we met the manager of the resort , he is a gentlemen . Thanks to all of you
