The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Amazing

Everything was great and we would go again. The only thing we found is that other guests paid less than us so we wouldn’t book as early as we did next time. We would also stay 10 days instead of 7. The food was good. The seafood restaurant was the only one that wasn’t very good, but the service was still good

TRS Turquesa: Beautiful resort!!

The TRS Turquesa is a beautiful resort! The rooms were very nice and clean. We had a swim up in building 54 (near the back but only 3 minute walk to the lobby). The only downside to the room I found was the shower. Good pressure and heat but I didn’t like that there was only a wand vs shower head in ceiling. It would be nice if items were labelled better at the buffet (or if they had a vegan section – maybe one day :) ) The Indian restaurant was yummy (the chef came to our table to discuss what vegan dishes we could have, that was nice!) Italian resto was good as well, yummy wood oven pizzas. We checked out CHIC Cabaret show – definitely worth seeing, very fun! I believe bookings after 2019 guests have to pay $20 ( it’s more if you are not TRS hotel – not sure it’s worth more than $20 though) This was our first time at TRS and we will definitely go back!

Cayo Levantado Resort: Excellent resort!

This resort was beautiful. The grounds were kept so well maintained. Food was amazing and the staff were great! There really was nothing bad to say! The a la carte restaurants were great and the Brazilian was very entertaining . The veetamina was always good!! Would highly recommend!!

Grand Memories Punta Cana: When can I go back!?

We booked this resort during the Black Friday deals. Originally looking at the Royalton but were able to get Grand Memories for a better deal so we went for it. This resort is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are so well kept, it is very clean and you can tell the staff take great pride in its presentation. We stayed on the Grand Memories Punta Cana side, but you had to walk over to the Splash side for the buffet and social plaza for shows so we spent most of our time on the Splash side. The wa [... read more]ter park is so much fun, even for a 28 & 30 year old, I think the adults were having more fun then the kids! All of the staff (entertainment, servers, maids, front desk) were so friendly and helpful. Accessing the beach from the Royalton side was very easy, and if you didn't want to take a trolley the walk was very quick, and if you go early enough you get to see all of the peacocks and ducks that call that area home. The food was quite good, always a good selection at the buffet and the Italian a-la-carte was delicious. Of all of the resorts I have stayed at while travelling this is definitely my favourite and I would go back tomorrow if I could!

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana: Amazing resort

The resort is spectacular! It’s brand new and beautifully designed. The room was spacious with lots of storage and double sinks and vanities which proved to be helpful for two woman with lots of products. The food was excellent and the staff were helpful and courteous. The beach is unbelievable with just a small amount of seaweed. There is not much in the way of entertainment so if that’s what you are looking for, you may be disappointed.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Beautiful Resort

Had a wonderful week here. Friendly staff, grounds were very well maintained, clean & well taken care of. Food and restaurants were great. Only complaint, and it's very minor, is trying to get towels each day (pools/beach) was difficult. Often ran out quite early on and didn't restock very often.

Riu Republica: Fantastic resort

I love that this resort is large, but doesn't feel it. There is so much selection in terms of pools, restaurants, bars and activities. All of the staff is friendly and helpful. They are literally always cleaning the grounds, particularly the washrooms, pools and dining areas. Second time I've been to this resort and would happily return. Nothing bad to say really.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Beautiful new resort

Beautiful, modern, family friendly resort. I’m a foodie and even I was impressed by the resorts food. Favourites were Rio and Hunter. Never a dull moment lots to do at the resort really enjoyed the lazy river and flow rider. Unfortunately our swim out was not heated but still enjoyable to lounge around while the baby was napping. Beach was well kept and the softest sand I have ever felt. Ocean however was very wavy difficult to swim in. Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Great resort!

We stayed at the Aquamarine last week for 7 nights and were very impressed. The resort is huge but we found it easy to walk around or use the frequent shuttles. The food and service were very good. The Aquamarine had a dedicated beach section that was also adults only which made finding chairs and relaxing very easy. Beachside bar service was good with ready access to the beach grill and washrooms. The main pool was huge with three sections that allowed you to rest quietly or participate in the  [... read more]many planned activities. Nightly entertainment was good plus you could go to the other parts of the complex to view other entertainment. Overall a great resort that I would definately return to in the future.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Wonderful Vacation

We went as a group of 10 people with 2 babies in January for 7 days. The beach and pool were amazing. The weather was very warm. Feels like 31 or 32 degrees all throughout our stay. The food overall was good. The Italian, carribean and statehouse restaurant offered excellent dishes. The buffet was good as it gets for a buffet. The beach bar at the beach offered drinks and coffee, nutella and cheese crepes. The privilege beach bar was worth the upgrade amazing seating and view and opens till 12a [... read more]m. There is entertainment at the lobby every night from dancing to karaoke. The romantic room I stayed in with my husband had very lovely and romantic touches.

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: Wonderful Resort

Being a new resort there is some work to be done, but overall I enjoyed my stay and the resort has everything to offer. The grounds and the water features are beautiful. The view from the room was everything we expected.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great resort

Very nice resort with lots of entertainment and great ela cartes. I recommend Brazilian and gardin grill. Love how close it was to the beach. Rooms are clean but need a small update. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating.

Impressive Punta Cana: Great Resort

There is nothing much to complain about at this resort. The rooms and facilities were extremely clean and maintained. We were really pleased with the clean bathrooms close to the beach area. The entertainment was good, staff was always friendly and polite. Manuel in the buffet is awesome. The workers were diligent in maintaining the beach and cleaning the seaweed. Our only complaint is that smoking is allowed in the dining facilities. We have recommended this resort to friends.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great Family Resort

We just returned from 2 weeks at the Royalton Bavaro and had an incredible time. We traveled with a group of 9 people ranging from age 2 to 95. This resort literally had something for everyone and we covered the age spectrum. Wonderful beach, best food I've had at a resort, amazing activities. Probably wouldn't recommend it to couples but definitely great for families.

VH Atmosphere: Best relaxing time at the VH

This is the best resort to stay if you are looking to relax and enjoy the tranquility. Food is good. Entertainment is low profile. Rooms are quite nice and clean. Staff are doing an excellent job everywhere and make you feel welcome. I would recommend the upgrade to Superior room to have access to the VIP Lounge Bar. Pool for Royal guests is quite small...therefore I would not choose this option. Walk to the beach is about 5 min. + small shopping mall in walking distance too. Emotions by Hodelpa Juan Dolio: great couples and group vacation

We traveled as a couple along with 3 other couples and 3 single males. Like any resorts it has its pros and cons. We were in a swim up room which included the use of another pool. One thing about this resort is there are too many different groups/levels which results in many areas being restricted. VIP group, Bravo group and the adults only pool. It becomes confusing that there are so many levels and many areas you can't access if you have a regular room. An example is if you have a regular room [... read more] you can only access one of the four pools. Seems a little over kill on the up graded packages. Services was average. More of a language barrier than you will see in Cuba. Bar was only stocked with the basics so no fun shots, just rum, vodka etc. Male members of the staff will hit on females, calling them beautiful, hot, sexy etc. Venders on the beach and set up on the resorts are very aggressive and relentless. You truly just have to ignore them or say no thank you and they will move on. They had an odd rule of not allowing drinks in the pool, you weren't even allowed to sit on the side with your legs. We found this really odd, as we had never experienced this down south before. Rooms were nice, in good condition and clean. Wifi worked but was slow, enough to check in on things back home. The resort is very small, short walk to the beaches, pools, bars, buffet. Beach and pool were both not crowded which is very important for us. Most days we weren't up until 8:30-9am and had no issues getting a chair in the shade. Food was good, always able to find something to eat. The animation team was a lot of fun and definitely made our trip more fun/memorable. The MJ show was great. Overall, we enjoyed out stay and would come back again.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: First timer

The hotel itself was nice and clean. Some stuff needed updating but nothing that was detrimental to our stay. Food was excellent, staff were friendly and the beach was beautiful. Although there’s nothing specifically to complain about however we wouldn’t do this resort again. The pools are a little too small as is the resort.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Great time!

The Catalonia was a beautiful hotel. Well kept very clean but the best part was the staff. I travel a lot and the staff at the Catalonia was the best!! Erik the entertainment coordinator by the pool and piano bar made our trip! He was so fun and outgoing! Also Moses aka “pineapple head” was great! The pool bar staff was fun and attentive. Great Place, great food, great time!!!

Riu Republica: Beautiful modern resort

Resort was beautiful service was good but could have been better Reims were always cleaned and spacious very comfortable the alcohol was not the best but the most disappointing was that there were no À la cart restaurants all buffet food was decent but in Besides all that they had the best jerk Chicken on the resort by the beach !

Ocean Blue and Sand: Good, not great.

So let's start off with the drinks, unless your a premier member, top shelf drinks are NOT included. However being the avid partier that I am, the drinks that the staff made were delicious anyways. The grounds were very nice, with a few exceptions. In between building 8 and building 9, there's was a disgusting smell of raw sewage that you literally passed through unless you walked the exterior of the building. However one of our friends who stayed on the lower floor walked out her door one night to see huge cockroach scattering. Talk about the heebie geebies. Be careful with the massages you book, they fail to tell you, but on contract you sign, if you miss your appointment or cancel, they try to still charge you half the amount. My wife argued until they gave in, but for someone not as assertive, they will sucker you. The food? I thought the food was great in the buffet and restaurants, I will say however that one of our friends got sick after eating in the Japanese place. 2 days later, another person (she hadn't eaten at the Japanese yet), then out last day, I also got sick. I mean stuck in the room as if I had the flu with severe pains in my upper abdomen. We found out that day 7 people were admitted to the hospital for food related illnesses. The excursions were a blast, but the people who actually work for the hotel, and stay in the lobby, although they say they give the best deals- that's false. We've found much better deals with guys on the beach, or guys floating around the resort. Our experience was alot of fun, mainly because of the company, but I definitely will not be returning to this hotel.
