Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great place, on the quite side and isolated.

The resort is very isolated so if you're looking for adventure away from it, then you should probably look elsewhere. The nearest town is a $25 US cab ride (one way) and we were told that there really isn't much there anyway. The place is spotless, rooms are great and overall, an excellent place. Pretty much everything shuts down at 11pm with the exception of the small disco and casino which is a short walk from the main lobby. My only complaint would be the biting bugs. They are so small that y [... read more]ou can't even see them and in spite of the fact that they frequently spray the grounds, almost everyone was well nibbled on - and they itch. Stupid bugs.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Beautiful resort!

The resort grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Good variety of food, staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The beach was amazing - clear water with coral right off the beach for snorkelling. Great resort for kids - kids buffet section, kids club and games. We'll definitely be going back!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: What a blast.

This is a very large resort, never waited more than 5 minutes for a train. All the staff is friendly and they all make you feel welcome. We loved the casino cause they had roullette and texas holdem tables.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great Resort for the price!

Good rooms - slightly outdated decor, but everything you need, good food - general buffet has lots of options + a la carte restaurants are amazing, great service - this is what sets the resort apart, ask and you shall receive!

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Awesome time at this resort!

The resort was great. Food was really good and all walkways were scrubbed clean every morning. Staff were terrific and would do anything for us. The only bad thing were the sand fleas everywhere and our insect repellent did not repel them. Overall I would recommend this resort to anyone who wishes to go.

Grounds were immaculate, food choices at buffet exceeded expectation, room clean and updated, staff friendly and helpful. Beach.... very nice,3 pool to choose from, absolutely no complaints. I would highly recommend this resort.

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: A very large resort

Much to be said about Bahia Principe, both good and bad. The resort is huge, with over 900 rooms in buildings with 8 rooms in each. It is no doubt a very good resort for families with kids and groups of friends, but definitely not ideal for a single person. The beaches are kept free of sea weeds by an army of cleaners and with scuba diving, kayak, small sailing crafts and paddle boards available at a price, there is something to do, aside from just laying around the beach, getting tanned, going [... read more] swimming in the ocean or anyone of three swimming pools. Several beach bars,- and yes, the drinks are free, since it is an all inclusive resort, and a couple of snack bars are present. The rooms are clean,and in the case of my room, very basic, but OK, all except for the mattress, which would make a slab of concrete jealous. Entertainment take place at the main pool, anything from Yoga, to dance lessons and in or out of the pool exercises, all carried out to the rhythm of incredible loud music, much to the annoyance of many people, who would rather listen to it at a vastly reduced volume. There is bingo,mini-golf, massage therapy, basket ball court and several other things to do. Each night between 9:30 and 11:00, a show is put on at the theater by the main pool. Each night, a different show is put on, but again, much, much too loud. After 11:00 PM, the night club and Casino are open, just a short walk from the main lobby and dancing (disco type) is popular. The main pool bar and the lobby are popular hangout, with free WI FI in the lobby and drinks served at the bar or from the mobile bar are generous and free. There are three restaurants where dining is also free, although a reservation must be made in the main lobby. The food in these and in the main buffet style-help yourself restaurant is excellent, all depending on individual taste. The choices in the buffet style restaurant are so huge that there is something for every taste, an important aspect since visitors come from all over Europe, Canada and USA. The staff is extremely polite and very helpful, always smiling. A number of tours to see various attractions within a two hour drive from the resort are available. Many take advantage of these. All in all, I would not recommend staying more than a week at the resort, but one week can be a very good experience for families and groups of friends.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Love it

good variety food, nice landscaping, very good service , deffinatelly recomended this resort. Very good with families to stay. Little confussing with numbers of villas but after few lost days and nights it was ok. Also cleaning solutions should be done with no smell.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Beautiful resort, had a good time

Stayed at the Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar; the resort grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The room was clean and very comfortable, we were in the Ambar 2 and it was a beautiful building, staff were always around cleaning and keeping things in order. The staff were friendly, some did not speak English and were not always able to communicate with the tourists. The food was good with decent variety at the buffet, we enjoyed most of the a la carte dinners, although my husband had the runs one [... read more] afternoon that lasted only for the one day, I did not have any stomach issues at all throughout our stay. The beach area was crowded and not easy to find a spot on the beach, so we spent more time at the pool as it was quiet and less crowded. Also the ocean was sometimes rough at times, and not able to go too far out. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this resort and had a good holiday, the weather was perfect 28C every day except for one day in almost two weeks, which was great.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Awesome vacation!!

When we arrived at the hotel we found out that we had been upgraded. Which was nice. On the way to our room we took the golf cart, that goes everywhere, and the drivers carried out luggage up to the room. When we got to our room it was so nice and welcoming. The staff were amazing and friendly! They helped make the experience amazing. The food was fantastic. Trying things I have never had. The beach was great. Clean and clear. Good hotel looks like there working on it. The resort got the potential to be great just needs a little more work on the little things like the beach bar and some pool area no music no bar close too pool. But food is good and staff are great so all was good at the end.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Pros and Cons

We had an enjoyable stay at Bahia Principe Tulum. There was a great selection of food in the Buffet, the animals roaming the grounds were delightful, the hotel staff were accommodating - we lost our umbrella and they got us another one; there was a leak in the ceiling above the toilet and they quickly came to repair it - and they were quick to call taxis. The service to and from the Resort from the Airport was also very quick and well done. If however, you are expecting someone to come up to you [... read more]r chair on the beach and ask "May I get something for you from the bar?" that never happened as had been my experience on a previous trip to Cancun. Also we found the hours of the breakfast buffet limited. We arrived for breakfast at 10:25 am only to be told breakfast was over and lunch would start only at 12:30 pm. We then went to the Snack Bar, at which time they were putting out trays of food, but we were told we couldn't have any of it until noon. Overall the experience was good but we will try another resort if we go again.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Fantastic Resort

This resort is incredible with very friendly and professional staff and top service. The grounds are beautiful and very well kept. All the restaurants including the Buffet deserve top rating for the food, service and ambiance. Beautiful, clean pools and beach with plenty of chairs. Overall this resort exceeded our expectations.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Quiet, laid back island vacation

The resort is very secluded, well maintained and perfect for a week of relaxing. The grounds are very lush and well maintained. The island has many hills, some areas steeper than others. The resort is very spread out & never felt crowded. The Rodizio & Don Pablo restaurants were the best for dinner. The buffet at Rodizio for breakfast or lunch was convenient & had decent selection. Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great time!

We enjoyed our week stay at Grand Bahia Príncipe Bavaro, large resort but we were located 5 min walk from lobby and beach and 10 min walk to water park and mini golf. Alternatively there are trolleys all day. We would definitely stay again, food was very good, room for improvement but no one was sick in my party. Overall a great stay. Employees were all wonderful! Great for children as well!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: great vacation

This resort has double in size since we where there 6 years ago. It is an excellent resort, rooms are beautiful. The rooms were cleaned very late in day 5:ish daily. Late in day if you were wanting your room earlier. Food was great. Staff were excellent. Worth the money. We were there 12 days. Need more shade at 2 new pools for people that don't sit in sun.

Grounds: This resort is exceptional in the way the property is maintained, beautiful pathways with lush greenery, well lite for night walking. Public Areas: A major problem is the beach which is separated by a rope for the general guests versus the VIP Don Pablo guests. The lounges are different in each area which creates a division of customers. The water is murky and has jelly fish which resulted in only a few people using the ocean. Beautiful rooms, good food, nice grounds, great pools and ocean. Suites are great as family rooms with 2 bathrooms and lots of space. Recently renovated hotel. Family oriented but don't go if you are looking for a place to party all night long as bars close at 11pm.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Nice Resort

I'm not a huge vacationer, so when I go my expectations are fairly high. This hotel was very clean, but it is BIG! HUGE! There is constant shuttle service from spot to spot, so that isn't an issue. The room was mediocre - clean, but nothing to write home about. Same ol' musty smell. The one thing that I was shocked at was the below average service. The restaurants were nice and the food was good, but the servers were not kind, and there were MANY occasions where we had to ask for drinks over and [... read more] over again. One night I asked for hot chocolate and the server handed me a cup of hot water and a can of hot chocolate powder....?????? Anyway, all in all the vacation was fun - I was just surprised that a place based on customer service would be so lacking.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Wonderful Resort

This hotel was clean, spacious rooms, and the room service was excellent. The food was outstanding - a large variety of meats, vegetables, fish, drinks plentiful and everyone with a smile. The beach was clean and well cared for. There was always a lounger even if you got there late.
