Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: awesome vacation

Awesome vacation, very good services at Memories Flamenco, the food was very tasty and beyond our expectations. Would recommend this hotel. The rooms are clean and big. We did all four à la carte dining, the creole was our favorite. The only negative remark would be that they didn't have fresh orange juice (mango juice instead).

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Definitely Not a 4.5 Star

For starters, we travel a couple of times a year and this was the first time in awhile we travelled with Sunwing.....definitely not impressed! Transit is the way to go. From the start our plane was delayed four hours, that wasn't the problem, Sunwing opted not to advise us until after we were suppose to board when they knew hours before. Our view over looking the resort was the [... read more] best thing about our room. The grounds were dry, and not very well manicured, only seen two landscapers the whole week we were there. The service was good, if you got it! There wasn't enough staff anywhere, the buffet only had two staff per section, if you got asked for a beverage you were lucky, the food was basic, bacon everyday raw, two days the salad bar actually had lettuce and a normal dressing, like who puts mustard on their salad!! The way the buffet was set up was absolutely ridiculous. The snack bar had the best food, and probably the best service in the whole establishment. The main lobby bar usually had three bartenders and two servers, yes, I said two, and they waited on the lobby, the two outside patios and the Theatre. There was never a drink that was made the same way, even if you ordered two at a time, they tasted different, figure that out! Icy drinks, were never icy, pina coladas were disgusting. The best part about the resort was the weather, absolutely a beautiful hot sunny week, the beach wasn't bad, first time we never upgraded to Diamond Club, that would have been a huge waste of money, the beach for Diamond Club was nothing but coral and very narrow. The beach bar on a regular basis by mid day was completely out of ice, hot days, warm drinks, that's what you want on vacation!!! The way back, we are all at the airport, see our plane, two hours pass boarding, we start to board, no announcements, no Sunwing reps to ask what is going on, just terrible service. Will we ever travel Sunwing again......Never. Cuba/ Cayo Coco is a wonderful place to travel, been there many times, so this bad experience won't leave a bad taste with us, but Sunwing Vacations will never be an option again. The hotel should be rated no more then a 3.5 * .

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Amazing resort! Fulfilled all of my needs

I love everything about this hotel. I booked a week here since its beach paradise for kitesurfers. Although hotel said 3 star, I slept in this beautiful rustic cabanas near the beach, the food was delish..I even had blue cheeze in my omelette and the best crêpes, the wine was good, the beach was incredible, sunny everyday I was there. Melia Cayo Coco: The best in Cayo Coco

After more than 10 years vacationning in Cuba, we finally found a hotel that is a real 5 stars ! our room on the laguna was big, modern and clean, food was plenty and excellent, the personnel was friendly and professional, great service and location. A Melia Hotel that could be a flagship in Cuba .

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: 24 Hours there was TOO Long!!!

Cabanas worse than a tent. Holes in walls and not soundproof. Mosquitoes a problem, many bites and we live in N Ontario, and are aware of bugs. Not much food at buffet, trays empty and staff was not refilling them. Main desk staff un-courteous, aignored you. When we were ready to move to Sol Cayo Guillermo they would not send the electric cart to get our luggage. Had to carry them ourselves from the furthest Cabanas worse than a tent. SCG lovely resort, Good food, Nice rooms, Pool, Beach, & Staff. we have never moved or complained before on our many vacations, but had to this time. Actually wasted our 1st 2 days there. Gran Carribe wanted to upgrade our room for $350C but the food would have been the same. Our vacation did turn out great at SCG.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Great beach, good food, nice amenities

The hotel is fairly new and very pleasant. We had a suite with a large balcony and ocean view along the pathway.. Awesome :) Food is pretty good, better then I've had elsewhere in Cuban resorts. Service is ok, very decent and not to obviously angling for tips. Overall it was a great holiday an I am happy I picked Pestana.

Hotel Camino del Mar: Not bad

The rooms were a little tired, the food was typical Cuban food but the drinks were plentiful and the staff did their best to accomodate your requests. I would totally recommend the Jeep Safari, well worth the money! On the down side, the day we returned I had a terrible case of "complicated traveller's diarrhea", not sure what did it as we were very cautious!

Tryp Cayo Coco: Could have been much bettter

The beach is beautiful. The resort is in desperate need of a facelift. DO NOT LET THEM PUT YOU IN BUILDING 14 - IT DOES NOT HAVE ANY HOT WATER. The food was ok, but the biggest issue is the people who work there. Everyone is unpleasant, with one exception, Roberto the bartender in the lobby bar - great guy. Other than that there's not much to say, it was all just ok.

Melia Cayo Coco: Beautiful resort

This resort was very clean, the staff were very courteous. Had a room with lagoon view. It was very relaxing to sit in the evening. The grounds were kept very nicely. Never a shortage of waiters asking if you would like a drink. The entertainment was great. Had not taken a trip in a long time and we are very happy to have chosen Cuba and this resort.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Ordinary

The layout was nice and so were the people especially the ones at the buffets. Need some maintance done, could have fallen to the ground if I leaned against our railing too hard. Ran out of water 3 different times which makes you wonder how they washed the dishes. Food was not as good as previous year. Never really hot unless you had it done right in front of you. Running out of water is a major health issue when they keep saying the tanks are empty so where are they filling them from.

Hotel Playa Coco: Great beaches

This resort wad satisfactory, clean, and safe the food was decent (Japanese a la carte) was simply amazing. The hotel staff were cucourteous and very helpful. The entertainment staff were energetic. Not too busy at a resort, didn't have to wait too long for food or drink. Booked a catamaran excursion one day which was canceled due to windy conditions. We promptly received a full refund. Best part was the beaches. Gorgeous white sand, not a rock in site. No shortage of beach chairs. No real c [... read more]omplaints whatsoever.

First hotel grounds beach pool breath taking employees best ever clean the food better then any other Cuban hotel .lobster ,sea food every night all restaurants top notch food and service only one issue need more then one bottle water dailey

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Excellent experience

This resort was very clean well maintained grounds and buildings the service was great you could get good food at any time of day. The evening theater shows were great .Bar service was excellent special thanks to Denis The hardest working guy i ever met.

Very nice Hotel. People are very friendly. The food was amazing. Not too many rooms and near the airport. Love it will return for sure. The organization was perfect. A bit more expensive than usual though.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Pretty good!

The hotel is very clean. Rooms are small but fresh and very comfortable. Never got an issue with hot water or pressure in the shower. The housekeeping lady who was responsible if our room did an amazing job!! The drinks are delicious. The food... Nothing spectacular at the buffet. The restaurants a la carte were much better. Now, the only 2 thinks that are on the negatif side are: #1: the wait!! Everywhere you go, you have to line up... The buffet is the worst.... Huge line up all the time!!! I think its an understaffing issue... and if you are easily bother by noise, ask not to stay in building 1 or 2 as the lobby urn into a disco at night and the noise goesdirectly into your room!!! But overall... Very nice resort and amazing people working there!!

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Small but nice

The resort was small and easy to get around. Not much to do,but that was ok we wanted RR time. Staff received you well, always accommodating to your needs. On some occasions you needed to ask for a drink when the bar staff was cleaning up your table. We found the maids were not very friendly, what I mean by that is they never smiled, they would reply to your good morning and even that didn't seem sincere. Rooms kept clean, we only had to ask for towels and the fridge re-stocked once. We had room 2239 great ocean view. The pool bar was great, mind you it was cold, so used a lot. I do have to say that the a La Carte restaurants did not disappoint and the buffet was good.

Melia Cayo Coco: Fabulous and beautiful!

Postcard perfect beach. Resort and nightly entertainment exceeded my expectations! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Resort was kept very clean and I never had to worry about anything. Truly a great home away from home!

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Great resort for money

The resort was nice the staff was amazing great place if you want a relaxing vacation . The buffet could of been bigger but it was good for what was there . Wee went on the jeep safari it was amazing for 79.$

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great resort and good value for your money

The hotel is fairly large with lovely grounds. Beach area does have lots of coral but still easy access to the water. Rooms were great and maid service was exceptional. Could of used more services at the beach, one small bar and grill isn't enough for the amount of people this resort holds. Maybe some more areas of shade around the pool would be helpful. Overall, a great place to spend a week.
