Paradisus Rio De Oro: An Great Resort
The food selection, taste & preparation was amazing. The resort was spacious & clean. Beach gorgeous, great for snorkling and exploring! Never a problem getting shade and the people were so welcoming & helpful.
Hotel Camino del Mar: Best week ever!
I have to say my husband and I had one of our best trips yet! This was our second trip to Melia Cayo Guillermo. Yes the rooms could use an update but our room was spotless everyday, the bed very comfortable and an awesome view from our balcony. Air conditioning, lots of hot water and good water pressure. A special thank you to Greter, at the pool and Ariel, in the buffet and lobby bar for their superb service. They were a lot of fun. We received awesome service everywhere. We didn't have to wait [... read more]
Tryp Cayo Coco: Tired hotel but terrific!
The Tryp Hotel in Cayo Coco may seem a bit tired. Actually, the physical accommodations are tired. But the staff. They are anything but tired. We experienced everything we had hoped for during our one week stay: beautiful sunshine, groomed white beaches, excellent service from those who cleaned our room, served our drinks (we preferred to stay with buffet style), swept sand off of our beach lounge chairs, entertainers, bartenders to even grounds keepers who always smiled and offered up an 'Ola.'
Melia Peninsula Varadero: Best a Resort On The Beach
The Melia Peninsula is set in beautifully landscaped, well maintained gardens, winding paths throughout the plantation-style buildings. Nothing is crowded; no high hotel-stlyle architecture, simply 2 and 3 story, 4-unit sections, well set back and spaced. The staff are amazing- friendly and helpful. A large pool with snack bar cools you down after a day on the beautiful beach. The international restaurants, especially the Japanese- Barbaro the chef-, are a nice change from the buffet. Melia Las Dunas: Okay
Beach and pools great. Food okay. Rooms average. Lack of towels in rooms. Staff friendly. Grounds well kept. Beach was windy at times but still beautiful. Clear water and clean. 4.5 - 5 star not the same as in other places.
Melia Paris Champs Elysees: Outstanding hospitality
Great experience. Room service, breakfast, location, management attention, all things that matter were met. We were even offered a bottle of champagne for our anniversary! The hotel offers many other facilities we did not need but it was great to know that they existedface
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great Holiday!
Overall good service, friendly staff, well-kept grounds and fabulous beach area. Any concerns were dealt with promptly and efficiently by management. A la carte restaurants , especially the Japanese and French were good.
Melia Las Dunas: Very good trip!
First of all, I would like to thank Alejandro Rubio, from the hotel, who helped me with a few questions before we left. I had emailed him on a couple of occasions and he was very quick to respond. Second, our maid Aray. Our room was spotless everyday by early afternoon. The guy who stocked the fridge came everyday, and if we were in the room, we could request what he left. Third, our wonderful guide, Mr. Gonzalaz who escorted us on the Havana day trip. I definitely recomend the trip to anyone who [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: Loved, loved, loved the resort!!
The beach was dreamy!! The sand felt like no other....like flour, if you can believe it. Thankfully the beach wasn't rocky! There were always had ample chairs and someone to brush off the sand. Drinks served right to your long chair was just great! Restaurants, buffets and the snack back bar were actually very good - ice cream counter was such a treat as well! Fresh catch of the day buffet was where we ate lunch every day! Clean rooms, lobby and luscious grounds – no complaints! The pools were [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: Melia Las Dunas
Beach is amazing! There were a lot of food choices and restaurants, however there is room for improvement on the food. The rooms for the most part were nice, however cleanliness needs improvement. I had to request clean towels everyday as they were hanging them on the balcony to dry from the day before with stains and marks. This is not a 4 star hotel! Entertainment was great, fun for both adults and children.
Melia Cayo Coco: The best in Cayo Coco
After more than 10 years vacationning in Cuba, we finally found a hotel that is a real 5 stars ! our room on the laguna was big, modern and clean, food was plenty and excellent, the personnel was friendly and professional, great service and location. A Melia Hotel that could be a flagship in Cuba .
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Amazing beach
Rooms needed an update but they were very clean. Our rooms location was close to lobby, buffet and pool area. French restaurant was very good and great service. All the staff were friendly and polite. Good resort for the price we paid.
Melia Las Antillas: nice place to stay
Its Cuba..i didn't expect fabulous food, I certainly didn't starve. Didn't use the pool, as it was cold and pools aren't heated. People there are nice and we were treated well. Could use some updating but overall a nice clean place to stay.
Melia Las Dunas: Overall good resort for first time to an all incl
Rooms were ok, had a smell of mould every time you walked in. Grounds were kept very well, pools were well maintained. Weather was not cooperative, would have been nice to know ahead of time that February is Cuba's coolest month of the year.
Hotel Camino del Mar: Not bad
The rooms were a little tired, the food was typical Cuban food but the drinks were plentiful and the staff did their best to accomodate your requests. I would totally recommend the Jeep Safari, well worth the money! On the down side, the day we returned I had a terrible case of "complicated traveller's diarrhea", not sure what did it as we were very cautious!
Tryp Cayo Coco: Could have been much bettter
The beach is beautiful. The resort is in desperate need of a facelift. DO NOT LET THEM PUT YOU IN BUILDING 14 - IT DOES NOT HAVE ANY HOT WATER. The food was ok, but the biggest issue is the people who work there. Everyone is unpleasant, with one exception, Roberto the bartender in the lobby bar - great guy. Other than that there's not much to say, it was all just ok.
Melia Cayo Santa Maria: Nice quiet resort with great beach
The resort was well kept with friendly staff, and what we liked was it was small and quiet. Just what we were looking for. There were some small issues with shower pressure and lack of hot water at times. Food was typical Cuban and, as expressed by many reviewers, not the best, but there was always something to eat. The beach and water was the best part of this area of Cuba and was the reason we picked this location and we were not disappointed. The Air Transat reps were extremely helpful.
Melia Varadero: The Melia of Melia's
The Melia Veradero is uniquely situated just steps from it's pristine private beach and beside the DuPont mansion. With a luxurious interior, it is one of the nicest hotels on the peninsula and without a doubt of one our favourite places to stay in Cuba. This is was our third visit. The staff are courteous and friendly, and the accommodations clean and wonderfully managed. Definite must stay!
Melia Cayo Coco: Beautiful resort
This resort was very clean, the staff were very courteous. Had a room with lagoon view. It was very relaxing to sit in the evening. The grounds were kept very nicely. Never a shortage of waiters asking if you would like a drink. The entertainment was great. Had not taken a trip in a long time and we are very happy to have chosen Cuba and this resort.
Melia Las Dunas: good resort
food was good but repetitive resort looks nice but big lots of walking very nice beaches friendly staff not much to do around because it's on a island....we would go back....and recomanded to other people...
