Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful Resort!

Pros: Close to the airport, hotel grounds and beach are well kept on a daily basis very clean, hotel and public areas are bright, very spacious, welcoming atmosphere and has a fantastic vibe in the evenings. Love the amount and variety of options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Staff is friendly across all areas of this resort from check in to night security always saying hello. The beach was heaven soft powdery white sand; clean, and it was noticeable how clean compared to the other resorts along Bavaro beach. The ocean is spectacular, no rocks, very little plant life floating in the swim area, near the end of our stay caught site of only 2 small fish that must have snuck in to the swim area. The spa was luxurious, felt truly pampered. This was a perfect vacation for two during a rare occasion without our kids. This is a very large resort with a shuttle/train and golf carts to get around however we enjoyed walking. We stayed from April 25-May 2 2018 resort was comfortably populated weather was around 29 degrees celsius daily and sunny with some rain at night. Con's that may be unfavourable to others: the smell of fuel in the air at the beach lots of boats, tours etc occurring daily out past the swim area. The cobblestone roads throughout the resort are used by train/shutles, golf carts and pedestrians so you do have the smell of fuel at times. Currently there are renovations happening so the sound of construction is around, this should be close to completion. The one thing I was not a fan of at check out is the gentleman discussed a hotel policy that guests need to pay 2.00USD which apparently 100% goes to Unicef. (2 dollars is not much to groan about but the whole thing was questionable to me....... anyway. I would go back no hesitation.

Occidental Punta Cana: Beautiful resort!

This resort was not too big and a short walk to the beach, lobby & restaurants. The grounds were impeccable. The beach area was clean and had nice white sand. It was a pleasure to walk the beach in the morning. The public areas such as the lobby & restaurants were very clean. Our room was close to the beach and the quiet pool. Our cleaning lady was very nice and after leaving her some messages & tip, she would provided us with what we needed & more. The day before we left, she thanked us and ga [... read more]ve us a big hug & kiss. At the lobby , they would come to offer us water or drinks from the bar. We enjoyed eating at the buffet restaurant since it was air conditioned and there was a variety of food. As for the other restaurants, we especially liked the Oriental. The Italian and the Steakhouse were also very good. The main pool had a swim up bar and a whirlpool area. It was very relaxing when it wasn't too busy. One negative point is that it was very hot and we had to find shady or cool areas. There wasn't any palapas at the beach and the shady areas under the palm trees were taken. People would also reserve their chairs at the pools...so in the afternoon we would spend most of our time in our room or on our deck. Another negative point is that the time sharing representatives were relentless and very annoying. We avoided them as much as possible. My niece's wedding day was amazing, well organized and lots of fun. We enjoyed some of the entertainment at the theater but found that the main shows would only start after 9:30 PM which was too late for us. Our last day there was very chaotic since our flight with Air Transat was delayed almost 5 hours. We couldn't get a late check out since there was no availability. Check out was at 12:PM and pick up time for the airport was 6:25 PM. Thankfully, we were able to put our luggage in my niece's room since she was staying for another week. Our arrival to Toronto was very late after 3 AM and we didn't get to our room until 5 AM. Needless to say we were very tired and didn't sleep very much. Overall the trip was pleasant and the resort was very beautiful.

The Level at Melia Caribe: Amazing Resort!

We would highly recommend The Level resort to all our friends. We were treated like royalty and made to feel very special. The adults only section was fantastic and lived up to the videos that we watched before our trip. We had 4 of our own special restaurants, pool, and Beach. Everything was neat and clean and the service was wonderful. Not being tied down to a dinner hour was a nice perk. We are already thinking of booking it again for next year. I would certainly recommend The Level adult only section if you are not traveling with children. Being in the level section means you can go to all parts of the property which is a nice feature. Can't wait to go back! A great bonus was that there was Wi-Fi all over the complex which was very handy and good speed.

Tropical Deluxe Princess: Amazing resort !

Wow, what a nice vacation ! Can't say anything bad about the place. Incredible beach, great for walking in both directions, beautiful resort and superb grounds, with mini-jungle with ducks and peacocks (would be great with children). Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Great stay at the BP Ambar Green!!!

Everything went extremely well...the BP complex is huge but it was well kept, clean, excellent service and staff! Our requests were all met in advance. Only difference we found this time was that a lot of the drinks were really sweet (sweeter than normal) but managed to find something to enjoy!

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: amazing resort

the hotel was great room was amazing along with the view the food was outstanding. Very friendly staff. the weather was awesome,just an overall awesome place to go you cant go wrong.Great if you just want to relax or do the many activities they have along with a fabulous show every night.

Occidental Caribe: Magical pace

Beautiful place.Amazing green grounds. Great pools. Variety of restaurants. Good food. Great beach. Clean place. Enjoyed my stay very much.I would like to go back in the near future.The only thing I would change would be the entertainment,a little bit repetitive.why not use the pools for a ballet in the water.,or use the trampoline.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Resort was breath taking

For starters, really happy booked through tripcentral, Iryna Koliuda was great from beginning to end, and so was Air transit..Hotel was truly amazing. Sent us a us complimentary breakfast to our room, for anniversary with bottle rum, later in the week was my wifes birthday, they sent up a cake and another bottle of rum lol..Hotel has truly everything and staff was friendly and helpful. Occidental Punta Cana: AMAZINGGGGGG

I just got back from a friend's wedding, i wish we could party longer but they ended the dance at 10pm. The dinners were all so good all week ; the party pool was amazing and i would 100% come back to this location.

Grand Bavaro Princess: Great Resort

Dining was excellent with many alternative restaurants Beach was outstanding Grounds were groomed beautifully Rooms were all well laid out Pool was large with popular swim up bar Very pleasant staff very helpful Our room had a small leak from bathroom ceiling which was reported before leaving

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Excellent Resort

We’ve been to Punta Cana numerous times because it’s our preferred vacation destination. We never stay at the same resort but will be making an exception from now on. The Majestic Colonial tics all the boxes for us. The beach is beautiful, food is very good, everything is kept clean even spotless (thank you Clara for taking such good care of our room) and the service is exceptional. There is no rush in the morning to claim a spot on the beach or poolside which is wonderful. We stayed in [... read more] the Colonial Club section which is adults only (April 27th to May 2nd). Our butler Joan was friendly, helpful and very professional. We are not the type of people to select a resort because it comes with butler service. In fact, this is the first time we’ve experienced this service. Joan greeted us upon arrival, showed us around the resort, and made sure we were satisfied with our room. He checked-in on us daily and was always ready to assist with whatever we needed. He even brought my friend a birthday cake on her special day. The staff is the best I’ve ever seen. Everyone we encountered had a big smile, always greeted us with Hola, were very attentive and professional. This shows great leadership and vision on the part of Management. Bravo! PS I read the reviews before booking and my advice is - believe the good reviews and discard the bad ones. Obviously, there are people who won’t be pleased with any resort. I would highly recommend this resort to family and friends. We plan to return in March 2019. No more resort hopping for us, we finally found our home away from home.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Could have been better

This resort gives the impression in the lobby that it will be amazing until you’re brought to your room. First impression of the room was that it wasn’t as cold as it should be because the A/C didn’t work properly. Hotel maintenance was called and arrived promptly to our room but had no knowledge on how to repair the problem. We unfortunately stayed in the room. In all three of our groups rooms the towels were not refreshed even when the dirty towels were left on the bathroom floor, this m [... read more]ade showering extremely difficult. Several times we went to the buffet and waited for water or had to ask for a glass of water as well as cutlery. These simple tasks made eating sometimes an unenjoyable event. The pool was alright and could have also had more attention to cleanliness and upkeep. It was vacuumed every morning but the furniture surrounding the area was never cleaned neither was the pool deck which could be very discusting with drinks being spilled and at one point what looked to be vomit in the water. Poolbar was extremely busy which is a great thing for the atmosphere but it was under staffed and made getting a drink very frustrating waiting several minutes almost everytime with the Spanish speaking guests getting obvious preferencial treatment. There are several fairly easy fixes to making this resort a great place to vacation but several improvements need to be made.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Great resort

Adults only resort was definitely the right choice for us. Pool/ beach buffet and lobby were all very close proximity together. So was not a lot of walking. We could take the trolly over to the bigger portion of the attached resort if we wanted to go to the casino or other restaurants. So our resort was nice and quiet. The Food was great. Everything was very clean. The rooms were a little dated but clean.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Awesome

Everythig was great, would go back for sure, everyone was so nice, things were so clean, pool and beach was perfect, food was fantastic, wish i coyld have stayed for two weeks, next time we just might.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Good resort, very pretty

We have traveled south for many years and this was one of the better resports. We did not have VIP ststus, I dont need anyone to wait on me. However when we got there we were not happy with our room and asked to me changed mainly because all of our family were in the 16 block, the manger a very nice man, said come back tomorrow at three and we will move you. True to his word we were changed and in our room by 1630. Not too bad we were in the up graded area with pool view. The restruants , the [... read more] Brazian , the japneese terrix Grill and the Steak house were alll very good. Two our of 13 did get sick for a few days but you take your chances when you go. The beach party was a lot of fun so was the entertainment. I would go back to this resort but never late April, way to hot, lol but we did have sun and fun alll week thanks to Air Canada and Heather at Trip Central all were great.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Dream Vacation

Everything about this vacation was great from booking with Natausha at Trip Central, flying with WestJet from Toronto's Pearson Airport YYZ to Punta Cana's International Airport PUJ, our resort transfer bus staff, tour operator, and every member of staff we encountered while at Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro... Melia Caribe Beach Resort: A great family resort

The grounds are really beautiful and well kept and clean including the pools and the beach. The resort is very large. We went during off season so it wasn't packed. I think the resort would be too busy during high season...thousands of people. The rooms are comfortable and great for kids sleeping. However the rooms are a bit outdated and have had some wear and tear. The food was mediocre. The check in process was awful. The kids zone is great esoecially the ropes course.

Secrets Royal Beach: Amazing resort

This is one of the cleanest resorts we have been to. Well kept inside and out. Our room was wonderful house keeping during the day and turn down service at night. The staff was excellent always helpful,polite and friendly. We enjoyed the fact we did not have to reserve for the dining rooms. There was always something going on at the beach and at the pool. Yes there was some seaweed no biggie. Would we go back YES !!!!!

Occidental Caribe: We loved our visit!

The value for this hotel is amazing! The grounds are beautiful, and the pools and kids club made our stay with a 4 year old and 2 teens so much more enjoyable. The staff at the kids club were great and made our daughter feel right at home. By far the best thing about this location is the stunning beach!! It was pristine with bright aqua water and white sand. You can walk on it forever and the stretch of beach in front of this resort was the nicest. This water park is for younger kids only. They would not let my older kids go down the slides with her so that made it less appealing and in the end she only went once. Notables: 1) Our room (good beds and clean...a bit dated but we did not care!) was overlooking the pool and the beach which was stunning and the balcony was so nice in the morning but it was also where the entertainment was at night and it was SO loud in our room. Fortunately our 4 year old slept through it all but by 11pm us adults had enough of the loud music and partying. Usually it was done by 11 latest. We often heard drunk people yelling etc until 6am as well. The resort staff acted on it quickly if you called though. Every other night was quiet so that came as a relief. 2) The food was average to good. Pretty much what I expected for the most part but I do wish it has been a bit better. We still enjoyed all of the à la carte restaurants and the buffet was good with lots of options. My favourite food was the Italian but my kids loved the Japanese restaurant and experience. Staff were great there! 3) Four out of five of us got a tummy bug on day 3/4. Nothing too bad but we were all nauseated etc. and lasted 1-2 days. It did not keep any of us in bed, but it was a challenge to eat. Hard to say what caused it so no advice on what to avoid:(

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Amazing resort

We spent a week at the Majestic Colonial Regal Class (adults only). What a great vacation. The resort was redone last year. There is always a nice breeze even in the lobby at night. You re not crowded. Nice comfortable chairs everywhere.The service was exceptional. A La carte restaurants very good.
