Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Hidden Gem

Food - outstanding, best I've had at an all-inclusive service-fantastic, rooms- large, but outdated. Beach- well tended-water had no jellyfish as stated in other reviews, but cloudy. 8.9/10. Would I go back? Absolutely.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Good resort but room issues

We had to move rooms 2 times due to issue, our friends also had to move rooms once. Last year we went to the Aquamrine this year we upgraded to the Ambar thinking it would be better and a true 5 star experience. In hindsight it was not worth the extra $$ we paid. Stick with Aquamarine. Overall buffet food was ok. Al la cart resturaunts were great - Limbo, MEAT, Portofino, Rodizio all were excellent. Entertainment was pretty good, grounds were nice. I hope humane steps are being done to manage this they should be spade our neutered now before the cat population gets out of control. We love to see a few cats around the grounds, but we don't want to see 100 starving cats next year.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Good time!

Hotel was safe enjoyable clean well staffed. Travelled on my own and felt comfortable. The gym is great. Food was super tasty and lots of variety. Staff are welcoming helpful and many staff makes for great service. The beach is nice. Wish could use the space with Akumal but did find a lounge chair every day. Space to have quiet beach time and there’s space where children were playing. Beach was clean and bar staff prompt service. The shuttle to the beach was easy to catch. Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Beautiful resort

Beautiful resort grounds amazing beach we had a good vacation .. The food was very good the only down side is the rooms need a face lift ! Walls of the building we stayed in needs to be painted we could see the scratches and dirt on it...I wasn't too happy with the room.. entertainment and staff was amazing the people are very warm.and helpful .. the weather wasn't the best as it was in January but for sure the beach is a beauty by itself. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Our Favourite

The resort was fantastic, food was great, staff was polite and helpful, grounds were immaculate. Room was comfortable, beach was the best we’ve had in Mexico. Golf course on the property. We will be going back next year.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Very big resort

The resort is very big we stayed at the aquamarine but there are several resorts all sharing the same property. If you like waking a lot this resort is for you. The size made it hard for staff to keep the grounds clean. There were cats everywhere and when walking throughout the resort you could smell cat urine. The rooms were kept clean. The food was good in the restaurants that we were able to make reservations for. Reservations for the restaurants were hard to make for the times we wanted to eat, basically if you wanted to eat after 7pm it was easier to get a reservation but we like to eat earlier. The buffet didn’t open until 6:30pm so if it was open at like 5pm I’m sure it would be easier to make reservations for the restaurants. We had a sign in our room that said there was room service but when we scanned the QR code it only gave the menus for the restaurants and no room service menu was available. The times that the restaurants are open and closed at should be available with the menus on the website. There should also be an option to wait to get into the restaurant instead of having to make a reservation. The staff were friendly and nice, but no one seemed to be able to give any change. One day I had to ask at least 4 different staff members and went to the very front desk and no one was able to get me change so I just wasn’t able to tip much that day. I always had to walk to the very front desk that was further away to get change and sometimes they wouldn’t give me change there saying the change person wasn’t available. They defiantly don’t go out of their way to make you feel welcome or special in any-way most places have an upbeat welcome feel to them when you arrive, this wasn’t the case with this place at all the feeling I got was a very serious but got a little better the longer we were there. The beach was very crowded, there is a separate section that was less busy for the aquamarine guests but there was no wifi at that section. I defiantly wouldn’t say this is a 5 star resort it’s more of a 3.5 for me.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Bahia Principe Luxury Akumel

We have stayed at a lot of all inclusives and we definitely rate this one as best one we have ever stayed at. We were in adult section of adult luxury Akumel. Check in was our first impression of great service, grounds and pools were beautiful, staff were amazing, very accommodating and helpful, trolleys readily available for rides, buffets had good selection and a la carte restaurants had amazing food! We will be back to this resort as we loved it!

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: A lovely resort

Well maintained, very large resort in four sections. Akumal is by far the nicest of them. The restaurants are fantastic, especially the Japanese ones. Lovely pool facilities. Great beaches. The shuttle service is wonderful.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Be mindful of big bites all the time and no beach chairs to be had.

Never once did we find a beach chair. Bug bites are horrible and every single person had them. Food was great. Pools were great and found chairs most of the time. Staff was amazing and a lot of fun. Rooms are decent, but always missing coffee for the morning.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Enjoyable Stay

I have stayed in quite a few Bahia Principe Resorts and this one is just as comparable aside from the rooms in need of renovations. Many people mentioned the same thing. We had no water upon checking in, phone didn't work so we went back to the desk and maintenance did resolve the problem. We had an a la carte reservation for Knife, when we arrived it was closed. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: 40th Birthday Trip

We traveled to this resort in January 2025 with 19 people including 8 Children ages 5 to 11. The resort over all is Large and Spacious. It never felt crowded and you could always find a Beach Chair. The resort has been renovated in some areas but lacking in others. The Food was excellent but the drinks need improvement. The kids Loved the Water Park and Large Pools. I would suggest this resort but this being our 2nd trip to this resort I would try some place different next time.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Be aware and read all reviews check date posted

What a disappointment Advertised 4 restaurants 3 bars etc etc. No there is one place for breakfast and one for lunch. The dinner is either buffet or al a cart only available 2 times a week. The buffer was disgusting, please look at pictures. The same items all the time . Brown lettuce floating in water is the norm. And only one bar., open at any time. No choices.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Needs some TLC

The hotel was HUGE. The buggies were constantly around so no trouble getting around. Rooms were nice, we were in Villa 2. Always stocked fridge and towels. Room service for extra items was quickly delivered. If your staying at Grand Punta Cana you don't get access to all the other hotels within the Bahia Chain. It's the lowest tier resort of the seven hotels. Beach was beautiful but chairs were over crowded and on top of each other. If you weren't at the beach by 6am good luck getting a seat. Th [... read more]at goes for the pool also. Unfortunately the food was terrible and service during meals was not great. Everything was overcooked or sometimes raw and constantly the same thing. The A LA Carte restaurants were decent minus the Greek one - awful. Tons of mosquitoes so if you don't want to get eaten alive, go inside your hotel by 8 pm. We had a baby so we didn't stay for entertainment because we didn't want her to get bitten by mosquitoes. Never had an issue with getting a towel. The Staff at the resort were very kind. I would definitely stay at a different hotel within the Bahia chain. I would suggest to pay more and get on the luxury side. Overall, although we had a really nice time, the weather was beautiful. We went in January 2025.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Good resort.

The hotel needs some updating. Lots of paint peeling in the bathrooms and the shower in our room needed to be updated. The biggest problem we had was the slow service in the hotel. This is not a five star hotel. I would rate as a 4 star.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Great Staff at this resort

The rooms are a bit dated if you get the junior suite, but they do the trick. Good for sleeping and getting ready for the day. The food was great. You will not go hungry here. The service staff were amazing. Always attentive. Don’t fall for the privilege club sales pitch. Unless you have tens of thousands to spend to be a member and want to waste your time in the sun being hounded. Say no thank you and move on. Great pools. Always can find a spot. Massages in the spa were amazing.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Amazing resort

My review of the resort is a little long, When i booked this resort, I started to read reviews on different sites and at times made me concerned but did not change as I remember that so many people complain about almost everything. So at the airport it was about 45 minutes to get through immigration and 45 for luggage. We then went and looked for Canada Transfer(highly recommend) and off we went. DO NOT look at the weather forecast as it can change every 20 minutes, yes we had cloud, rain and tons of sun and the wind was storng most days. The main pool was our to go area 1st few days but then we stayed in the area but went to the pool above the main and was quiet but you could still here the music which was nice. The entertainment staff(Erick, Alejandro) make it so fun for all guest of all ages and are a huge asset to this resort. The beach was very nice and I would say if you want water shoes use them but I found you will be just fine if you don't have them, also very little seaweed most days, the last 2 days there it was bad due to the very strong winds but they are cleaning before the sun is up and do the best they can. The food was good, we did 3 al a cartes, 1st was mikado and the food was just okay but the chef was a 10/10 forgot his name. 2nd was tequila and i was not a fan but my wife said 10/10 and 3rd was Don Pablo and would give it a 10/10 and staff were very good. The buffet Yukatan was good, had so much choice and never ran out of food like some people have said in reviews. We had Edwin almost every meal we had there and he makes it even better as he treats you like his own family. We did the bracelet upgrade for use of all resorts and I would say if you need it do or just book Akumal to start with, I was giving a deal but did not use it enough as we had more than enough stuff to do at Tulum. Also the animals are everywhere but makes the trip to see them and never felt on safe as they leave you alone and you leave them alone. So to end this review off, is this a 5* resort no, but I would give a huge 4* and if you are on the fence ignore everything you read and go as you will regret not going as this was our 1st time in Mexico and would come back for sure to this resort. Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Love tripcentral.ca and how they organize their site

I really appreciate 'tripcentral'. It was easy to select a trip and hotel because of how they lay out their data. I'll never use another site. We were also assigned an agent Jim O'Neill that we personally worked with. He was fantastic and guided us every step of the way and also provided us additional information. Hotel was the best experience I ever had. The food was incredible and everything else!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing resort and staff

The staff were incredibly amazing. We had Natalia taking care of our room all week. She was fantastic. Natalia was thorough in taking care of the room and also with taking care of our needs. The entire staff at this resort is amazing right from check-in to our concierge the servers and the restaurants I could go on and on about how fabulous the service is in this resort. It may be the cleanest place I’ve ever seen. The staff made our trip wonderful. The room was fantastic. Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Wonderful Resort

In deed the resort is so huge and beautiful. The service is considered very acceptable. The only discomfort in hotel is mosquito spreading everywhere. Very good atmosphere for families with children. It is affordable and organized.
