Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa: Wonderful experience!!

We loved everything about this hotel!! The food was fantastic the staff wonderful everything was " a pleasure". The rooms were clean and well stocked. The grounds were beautiful many trees and flowering plants, and the sounds of the birds , so enjoyable!!!

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Great resort

This was a really nice resort. It was large enough to not feel cooped up but small enough that we could give our nine year old some freedom. The pool was lovely and well maintained. The beach was nice And staff brought you drinks regularly 😁. Food was great. The restaurants were lovely and we didn't have to ever wait. The staff were extremely friendly. We would recommend this resort!

Fiesta Americana Riviera Nayarit: great resort

one of the better resorts we have stayed food was typical Mexican food, with the exception of there al carte. Italian and steak house were great. very clean resort. well kept. extremely helpful staff, always willing to go the extra mile. prompt and courteous. extra shout out to hector the head concierge, great job

Dreams Playa Bonita Panama: Dreams Panama

This is a nice small resort for those who don't care for large sprawling properties. The grounds are well kept and common areas are clean. There is plenty of pool space and loungers for guests to enjoy. This beach is not a swimming beach. If you are a beach person, try the Caribbean side instead. Rooms are nice, all with balconies facing the water. The bathroom has 2 sinks, plenty of shelf space and a great rain shower. Food is ok. We liked the Italian restaurant best. Mario and Ismael a [... read more]re wonderful servers at the pool. The cappuccinos at the Coco Cafe were delicious. Not much nightly entertainment if you are looking for that. There is a disco but it isn't busy and doesn't open until 11pm.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Fantastic Resort

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Exceptional Resort

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dreams Dominicus. The property is stunning and very well kept. Our room was lovely and the daily maid service was great. The amenities that we took advantage of, i.e. poolside bars, pools, Coco Cafe were well maintained and the staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Our a la carte meals were tasty and the wait staff and atmosphere were really nice. Loved the wandering minstrels who serenaded us during our meals. Dreams Tulum Resort and Spa: Very Nice resort

Travelling as a couple, no kids. Well kept very clean resort. Great for families. Excellent service everywhere we went, little to no wait at any of the restaurants we went to. However, a big drawback for us was that the beach was very rocky. Getting in and out of the water was not an easy stroll in and out as there were long stretches of rocks that were a couple of feet drop or step up. Definitely need water shoes! Dreams Aventuras Riviera Maya: Amazing resort with the best service around!

Everything from start to finish was absolutely amazing! Every where you went the service was amazing. Everyone was very helpful and kind. The gated community of puerto Aventuras was probably the best part. We walked down to the strip of restaurants and shops a couple nights and felt just as safe as Canada. Everyone was friendly and not pushy when it came to the shops

Dreams Sands Cancun Resort and Spa: Great Vacation !!

This was our second time at Dreams Sands Cancun. We absolutly love it there ! The food is great, the water is so calm and amazing to swin in and the service is excellent. During my stay in Cancun, I got dehydrated and had to go to the hospital. The staff was amazing and very helpful during this nightmare. They made me feel comfortable and secure.

JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort and Spa: Amazing hidden gem

Great resort, great food, the buffet was just as good as the a la cartes, clean rooms that are very nice and spacious. Enough pool areas for everyone and lots of greenery to keep it feeling private and quiet.

Dreams Playa Bonita Panama: Not a Dreams Calibre Resort

This resort has a lot of work to do to make it a Dreams calibre resort. Although the property is lovely and outside very well maintained the inside is not so great. Examples; rooms are kept clean on the surface but there is mold, dirt in the corners and under sinks, behind toilets and the clothe furnishing are rather stained and old. This is also true of the furnishing in the restaurants. I felt I had to place a towel down on the seat at times because of the dirt and stains. The staff are on the most part very friendly and helpful but there is clearly not enough of them to meet the demands of this very busy resort. We are very seasoned travellers and not too hard to please but these are basic things that need to be addressed. The thing lacking most is in the area of food. We are not overly picky but the food here was a huge problem!! Although the staff try hard they have not been taught proper food preparation.Examples; foods cooked in front of you like the omelet and pasta bar and burger grills were not always cooked thoroughly and due to the language barrier when you tried to explain to cook, things needed to cook a littler longer they did not understand and just went ahead and plated your under cooked food. The food at the buffets was always luke warm or cold and they were always running out of the basics and not replenishing these items unless asked to by multiple guests. The ala cart restaurants were better. Overall we had a fair stay here and glad we did not pay more than we did. The folks that paid more were far more unhappy; as this resort is advertised as a Dreams 4 star resort and I would struggle to give it a 3 star.

Dreams Playa Bonita Panama: disappointed

The grounds of this hotel are beautiful and well kept, there's not enough chairs outside and if you don't get up at 6am you're out of luck because all the chairs are reserved with towels, this is supposed to be monitored but its not. The preferred pool is not monitored either and anyone can just come in and use it which I witnessed being done. The room was beautiful the only complaint would be that out of the 7 days I was there 3 nights there was no turn down service. The entertainment is terrib [... read more]le for the money I spent at this resort there's usually really good shows everynight at a theatre, this resort had 4 shows out of the 7 nights which started at 8:30 and ended at 9 pm and then there was nothing to do until the disco opened at 11:30 . Now lets talk about the food , the buffets are half the size of any other resort that I've been to including other dreams ,very little selection, slow on filling empty containers, food was cold. Tried the a la carte's and it was hit and miss first night I had tuna that was dried out, 2 nd night I had spaghetti that was as if it was reheated, 3rd night ordered steak medium done got it very very rare. I booked this Dreams based on one that I had been to in Mexico and am very disappointed , hate to say this but I will not book at a dreams ever again. Every resort has a few quirks which I expect but this one was extremely disappointing and i'd be scared to spend that kind of money again and get a resort like this . This is the first time I ever felt I had to right a review come on guys this was totally unacceptable I only get to travel once a year and am sorry to say I wasted my money

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Wonderful vacation at Dreams Palm Beach

Wonderful vacation at Dreams Palm Beach. The grounds are beautiful and so well kept. The staff are polite, friendly and very accommodating - anything to help you. Exceptional service by Joanna at the lobby bar and Irwin at the pool bar. Francisco kept us laughing every time we saw him. The food is great and the buffet has something new to offer each day including a special food station for children. The chef prepares a new dish pool side each day in a huge paella pan. Even offers a cooking lesso [... read more]n.The rooms, public areas and grounds are kept very clean. There is a variety of entertainment and activities offered every day. I hope to return again as we had a delightful holiday at Dreams.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Amazing resort

This is my 3 times there 3 years in row will never change resort the staff is awesome made us special night in the restaurant à la carte. Brought me a cake and sing me happy birthday right on the resort outside when it was singing and dancing. Food is awesome bring u drinks right on the beach no need to get up. After staying a week at this hotel I was so surprised to read some bad reviews about this hotel. It really scared me and almost made me want to go somewhere else. I’m glad I didn’t. So for this reason I felt I needed to write this review. First off I would say this is more of a young family resort. You don’t see screaming kids around but it’s not a party hotel. You don’t feel pressure at all to tip but the service was good from arrival to departure so we typically did. No problem getting a drink ever. Hotel - 10/10. Considering it’s a family resort it was so clean. Grounds are beautiful. You never see garbage, plates or glasses laying around no one seems to be smoking which is really nice. It’s a big place but nothing is too far away and it doesn’t seem busy. Beach- the beach is very long. Right in front of the hotel they do a really good about cleaning the seaweed if you walk down the beach that isn’t hotel property there is lots of seaweed. You just need to walk closer to the water and you’ll be fine. Not the best beach I’ve been to but there are plenty of chairs, towels, and bars to service you. Water isn’t super clear like the Mayan so if you really like to swim this may be a problem for you. Food- there is something for everyone. The gaucho (meat place) was amazing. Many people raved about this. You need to get there early if you don’t want to wait. The buffet for breakfast and lunch was great. Lots of fruit and 2 omelette stations. Dinner at the buffet I have to agree was lacking but no one really was there so maybe they don’t want to have lots of food that people won’t eat. The Mediterranean place was also good. The French place was adults only which was a shame. Maybe they could offer an early time slots so families could enjoy it. For me the fusion (sushi style) wasn’t great but others really liked it. I’m just not a big sushi Eater. We have an 8 month old and we were always able to find food to give him. There are also plenty of high chairs and they are clean. Ice cream place was reallllly good and also had the best coffee. Rooms- Beautifully designed. House keeping came everyday and the fridge was always stocked. If you have a baby that naps you’ll need to work around them since the timing varies. Entertainment- not sure we never made it out since we have a young baby. After lunch hour and around 7 they have a band which was nice having live music. Water- bottled water is provided. You cannot drink the tap water (you probably wouldn’t anyway) I felt so bad about using plastic everyday. This was the only negative thing I would say about this hotel. Other - there are mosquitos at night but they provide repellent in the room. Overall this was a great trip and I would come back as a family. Many people we had met had been here multiple times. If it was just me and my partner I would probably still come and go the the secrets side more frequently. Of course sometimes there were a few hiccups but nothing to give this hotel a low rating.

Dreams Riviera Cancun: Good resort

We traveled with our toddler. It was close to the airport. The resort was small which I really enjoyed. The pools where amazing for accommodating all needs. The food was ok. I defiantly expect better food in Mexico. I wanted fresh amazing fish and guacamole and it wasn’t often found. The rooms were huge and clean. We had booked a king bed and we were very disappointed when we got there and received very tiny double beds. They said we “requested a king”. The staff was very friendly, however I felt a lot of pressure to tip. Overall I enjoyed the resort but my husband did not.

The rooms were ok.. the food was great...the staff were friendly and courteous the beach had too much seaweed but the resort made a daily effort to clean the beaches .. the theme restaurants were great and there was lots of activities to do everyday

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Dreams Dominicus - Romana - Great place

Hotel and amenities were great. Nice rooms with modern touch. Amazing food, nice beach and pools. Restaurants didn't require reservation which was unusual before trying it, but it worked and there was little to no wait time and no limits. Overall 9 out of 10.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Many good features but not worth the price

FIRST IMPRESSION/STAFF There was good and bad. Upon arrival the first thing I noticed was that the resort may have seen better days long ago in the 90's perhaps because the décor and colour scheme is tired and outdated. Lobby furniture was could use upgrading. It was clean though and staff were very welcoming and kind. The staff in the hotel were actually the highlight of this vacation! Can't say enough good things about them. GROUNDS This resort is definitely clean and manicured. Crew ar [... read more]e out there manicuring the greens consistently, wait staff clear empty glasses and cups and its never in a disarray. If cleanliness and manicured shrubbery and plants is is your thing, you will be very happy about this. POOL/POOLSIDE There is one continuous pool that goes through the entire resort in a lazy river sort of style. it isn't deep, my children were able to stand up in it so if you like pools with a deep end, you won't find it here. The pool was always clean. The bars around the pool are well-serviced also and wait staff come around quite often to take orders which was fantastic! LOUNGE CHAIRS This one is a negative. For the amount of money we spent to stay at this resort, our expectation is that there should never be a battle securing lounge chairs by the pool . We like to begin our day at the beach and spend the afternoon by the pool and so we found that often, we had to scour the resort for free chairs and sometimes were unsuccessful! This was frustrating. People would get up early, leave their towels on the chairs and take off for hours. The hotel does have a policy in place where if you leave your personal belongings unattended for over 15 minutes, they will remove them but I never saw this practiced. Not to mention, I think that time frame is too short because if you leave to have lunch for example, with every intention of returning, I don't think you should lose your spots in 15 minutes! Kind of dumb, they need to just stock up on more chairs. ROOMS/HOUSEKEEPING The rooms were nice enough. I've been to cheaper resorts with larger, nicer rooms. We did get adjoining rooms which was ultra convenient. The linens and beds were just okay.. again, not what you would expect when spending the amount of money charged but they were clean. We were celebrating a landmark event on our week away and we had to request champagne to be left in our room. No extras were provided even though the staff were made aware by our agent that we were celebrating so that was a disappointment. I've stayed at cheaper resorts in Cuba where everyday, there was some daily creative decorative art using the linens left behind,sometimes chocolates etc. The maid missed the window to clean our room twice during our one week stay! We were up early and out the door, returning once after breakfast to gather our things for the beach so we left our "clean room" door sign on from about 9:30 am till 4:30 everyday. 4:30 was when we went back to nap before dinner. In our opinion that was ample time to tidy our room but like I said, twice we returned and our room hadn't been made up. That to me is a HUGE fail for the standard expected at a hotel that charges so much! You want to charge top dollar and get repeat business? You need to deliver that standard continuously or reviews like this one will keep popping up and your clientele will slowly diminish. DINING This is the one area where I saw a positive difference from cheaper all-inclusives. I would say this is about the only thing that stood out and sort of made it feel a bit better that we spent so much. (A "little" better). Daily the breakfast buffet was stocked with options. Items were fresh, hot, well-stocked and there was always enough. Same thing at lunch. No long line-ups to eat on the week we went but perhaps if the resort were busier, that would have been a possibility. I'm not going to say the food was gourmet but the a la cartes weren't just buffet food, presented in a different way like many resorts try to pull. You actually have different items to choose from. My favourite a la cartes were Oceana and La Trattoria. The Grille (steakhouse) gets mixed reviews but my family liked it. You don't have to make reservations at the restaurants in advance or at the beginning of the week. It's first come, first serve which we quite liked! We never waited very long for a table. Its not a culinary experience or anything but food is good enough that you won't starve and the desserts are the highlight! Everywhere you go there is dessert and delicious! SMOKING The hotel allows smoking in the open-air areas of the property. To us it was bothersome but if you're a smoker you will love it! I mean, it's 2019 and with all we know about second-hand smoke and how harmful it is, and with this being a "family resort".. I don't think this is a positive. Smoking should be enjoyed outside. I get how there needs to be an area for this but in a café where different people are sharing the space, it becomes very intrusive and annoying!!! This smoking policy is as outdated as their décor! ENTERTAINMENT Firstly I need to comment on the entertainment staff. What a fantastic group of people! They did what they could with what they have and the shortcomings in the entertainment were not their fault at all as I have no doubt they would rise to the occasion if given the opportunity! . Special shout out to Pokemon!! This guy was everywhere all the time, making your day brighter, acknowledging you every chance he got and making you smile! Way to go Pokemon!! SO this is the reality..Two nights were great. The circus night and the Pirate show. Other nights were weak. I have to give props to Cuba for entertainment as this resort made them look like American Idol !! In Cuba the talent is stronger in my opinion. Of course I need to exclude the carabret style singers in Cuba which make everyone cringe to watch but I am talking about the magic, dancing or acrobatics in Cuba.. they are just much tighter!! As a result of the weak entertainment at this resort, nights were a tad boring. We had to resort to being creative to have fun. We would just talk, play games and have drinks and that was fine but again... "THE MONEY SPENT" .. you'd expect more dazzle entertainment-wise! BEACH The beach was okay. IT wasn't perfection like Cuba (you can tell I love Cuba) but it was fine. I think the most annoying thing was the vendors trying to sell stuff to you but even this wasn't overwhelming. The beach was well-manicured but for me being a beach gal... I wouldn't want to spend another week on that beach. Water wasn't crystal blue, sometimes it was dark and murky. There are much nicer beaches out there but this is the Atlantic, not the Caribbean!. This of course bares no reflection on the resort itself but worthy of mentioning. If you're more of a pool person, maybe this will be a non-issue for you!
