Ocean El Faro: Great Resort

Everything was clean and beautiful. Staff were great and grounds were amazing. The gym was small but perfect for what you want to do on vacation. You could always find something you really enjoyed at the buffet and the restaurants were great too. No complaints

Ocean Coral Spring: Nice Resort!!

Good modern rooms,buffet was good and we tried all the restaurants,they were all good except for some wait times.Beach was a bit rocky, small but no sea weeds.kids enjoyed a lot in the kids pool and lazy River. Bowling area was a nice to have.The service was top notch at food areas. However, the house keeping was a bit off, they dont have a regular schedule.If you are not up by 8am forget about getting a bench by the pool.

Ocean Eden Bay: Could be a 5 star - lacks the basics and consistency

The grounds were kept exceptionally well. Overall the food was very good. We did not have a bad meal. The Steakhouse was the best in quality and service-Orlando was hands down the best server we encountered. Followed by Ryan in LaLocania. The rest of the service was mediocre at best. Staff just did not care, not happy campers. Our Privilege room was kept very clean and we never lacked for towels. However the basics Such as a hair dryer or even Kleenex was not supplied. There was even a [... read more] plastic Kleenex box topper in the bathroom. Our butlers Nelson and Delvin were attentive however if you arranged something the day before, you had to re-request it the next morning or it would not happen. We arrange a luggage transfer to the Lobby for checkout. It was confirmed and they did not show up. We walked it instead. The beach was a huge disappointment. Very rocky when you got into the water. Having been to Jamaica several times, this was the worst beach we have encountered on the island. The most disappointing overall service was the Privilege Lounge. Staff ignored you, did not acknowledge you until you interrupted them. We paid extra for this - not worth it. Resort ran out of vodka on our arrival day. None for 2 days. Bars ran out of all kinds of stuff daily and restocking was poor. Mikes Coffee made a good cappuccino which I had twice a day. They ran out of all sugar packets which were not replenished at all for 2 days. I had to get sugar from the buffet restaurant across the walkway which had an abundance. No teaspoons in breakfast cutlery roll outs - stirred my coffee with my fork everyday. If you have little experience with 4-5 star resorts or Jamaican resorts in particular, you may find the service acceptable. A 3 star at most with a beautiful complex. We are easy going and worked the hotel sector for decades. We got what we wanted. R&R. But will not return to this resort. No basics, inventory processes or consistency and saddest overall team of staff we have encountered. I guess team building and oversight are lacking by leadership.

Ocean Eden Bay: Nice resort

Spent 1 week at Ocean Eden Bay. Definitely not a 5 star hotel but a solid 4. The decor was great, newer resort, very modern, very clean. Grouting in the shower was done poorly. Drain in the shower was also terrible. Entertainment team was great. Food not up to par for Jamaica. Other than the Jamaican and Indian dishes the food was very bland, which was disappointing. Beach was extremely rocky even with water shoes. Service and hospitality at the hotel was excellent. The cleaners were great. A friend was staying at the other building and they lost power and had a flood. They had a terrible experience. Very glad we stayed on the adult only side since the kids side Ocean Eden Bay was hectic. Likely won’t go back.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Beautiful resort

We had an amazing time. The resort was clean, food was good & staff friendly. The only things I was disappointed with was it took us 2 hours for 11 of us to check in. There was another group that arrived at the same time. I would have thought Sunwing would have advised the hotel & there would have been adequate staff to accommodate but there wasn’t. It was also disappointing to discover we could only reserve from one restaurant (Japanese one) unless we were preferred. We discovered our departure flight was delayed by a couple hours but unfortunately was told the bus was picking us us at 6:30 am. It wasn’t til we were waiting in lobby twice that the bus was delayed by an hour each time. I would have thought they would have communicated. If the flight was delayed so would the bus. Would have been nice to sleep longer & able to have a relaxing breakfast.

Ocean Coral Spring: Amazing resort!

I thought the grounds were very clean. The staff was amazing and the layout of the resort was very convenient. The decor was very modern. The service was very good but a bit slow once in a while. The resort is a great place for young families. We had an amazing stay at Ocean Coral Spring!

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Good holiday

We enjoyed our stay on the El Beso side as it was a bit quieter (although the staff was still quite ‘assertive’ in recruiting guests to participate in poolside activities. Rooms were nice and clean - fairly well kept up although the outside beds/loungers needed replacing. Pool bar was great - assuming you stayed in the pool as loungers were VERY hard to come by… unless you were up at 6 🤨. Buffet was good with lots of selection. Ocean El Faro: Not recommend

This hotel is very large lots of walking. The shuttle buses far and few between so dont wait for one then they dont show up. Then there is maid service well 3 days no maid service no towels no garbage emptied no fridge fill up with water. Now trying to get a ala cart restaurant was impossible you had to book online at 7am by 702 everything was booked figure that one out or they only had 1 seat left. The drinks were watered down. I would not recommend this hotel go somewhere else.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Exceeds Expectations

Clean cozy rooms, beautiful facilities, restaurants are amazing. Two notes to share, it involves a lot of walking to get from A to B, there is a shuttle but it would be great if there are a couple more. The second note is, the entertainment is on the shy side during the day but still a lot of fun, highly recommend this hotel especially for families with kids.

Ocean Eden Bay: Lovely

We really enjoyed our stay at the resort. The rooms are large and nicely decorated. We liked that it and the sister "Ocean Coral Spring resort" are located away other resorts. There were no people trying to sell you stuff on the beach. There were so many different restaurants to try that the food wasn't boring. Staff was very friendly and our room very clean. We enjoyed the fact that there were many Canadians at the resort...refreshing.

Ocean El Faro: Great resort

The resort is clean and well laid out. Everything is central in 1 area. The trolly system is a great addition to get from one end of the property to the other. Washrooms were clean, but could use more frequent attention during busy times. As most days they were short on supplies. The a la carte system could use some tweaking, it's not convenient to be up at 7am to book the day of and either not getting in or having to wait until 9:30 for dinner. The water park was centrally located, although we didn't have kids. The rooms are clean and tended to daily. The security on site was our biggest complaint - they have us an uneasy feeling, since they don't speak when looking to see what your doing early in the morning. We noticed 1 security in the evening hiding things in the bushes - which he was hiding from other staff. And another that we addressed when we spotted him watching guests in their room from behind the bushes. All that said, I would return. Your vacation is what you make of it. Just be aware of your surroundings- as you would anywhere you stay.

Ocean Eden Bay: Wonderful Resort - Adults only section

You can tell from a few items missing from the room that this resort is starting to recover from the effects of the pandemic. Bring a hair dryer, don’t count on coffee maker in room. Other than that, Staff was amazing and extremely helpful and happy to assist in any way. Food was a 5*, accommodations were clean and as advertised 5*, pool was beautiful but the towel/chair game is played and annoying. More chairs would be required. If you are looking to walk anywhere the resort is isolated, the gym was clean and not too busy. Representatives of the upgrade Privilege tried to catch us daily but they respected a polite no thank you. Lobby bar area had nightly live music and was enjoyable.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Nice week away

Room: We stayed in block 5, room 5301- our room was amazing, great view of the pool area. The housekeeper kept the room spotless and left us fun towel designs in the bathroom. The fridge was always fully stocked with pop and beers. There was coffee and a coffee maker in the room- which was good. Food: The buffet breatfast was good, lots of choices, sometimes the food was cold but there were egg stations and pancake stations where hot food was always available. The breakfast mimosas were [... read more] an added bonus. Coffee in the buffet was not good. However, a stroll over to Mikes coffee house was excellent. The other restaurants were amazing. We loved the steakhouse and itailian the best. The Staff was excellent.The snack bar at the pool was great for grabbing a quick lunch. The bars all served basically the same thing. The lobby bar had the best selection. The piano bar had martinis-but the room was very cold to sit in. Entertainment: The pools were great. Cool, but refreshing. They were much deeper then expected, both came up to about my shoulders (5'10") The ocean view and walking along the beach was so nice. However not much of a beach to sit on anymore due to the hurraicaines. The pool chairs were in short supply and we had to go out and reserve spots early because come 1000h there were no vacant seats. The shows were not great, but maybe just not my taste. The bowling ally and pool tables were fun. There were no quiet common areas at night to sit and chill- other then outside. The lobby always had a lot of events in the evenings too. overall we had a great time. There was a lot of walking from room to food, but we have no mobility issues and enjoyed our walks. There are golf carts offering rides, but not very often. I would recommend this resort, but I wouldn't go back-mostly because I like to try other places. We found the vendors on the beach very pushy, twice while we were there there were vendors in the resort as well, also VERY pushy, would barely let you walk by.

Ocean Eden Bay: Needs some work

Beautiful property. Nice pool. Food is horrible. Needs work. Rooms weren’t always cleaned. But the bar, blue team, servers, life guards were all great and pleasant. Don’t think I’d come back to this resort.

Ocean Coral Spring: Nice Resort!

The hotel is clean and spacious. The pool is large/nice and the grounds are well maintained. The food is good, service is excellent and staff are pleasant. The beach is not that good but the overall facility makes up the difference.

Ocean Eden Bay: Remarkable resort

My best friend and I stayed a week at this resort and genuinely had a fantastic time. The entertainment staff were phenomenal and all made for fun events. The restaurants were great and I'd recommend this place to a friend

Ocean Eden Bay: Good Resort

The hotel and resort in general was good! We had fun during our stay and enjoyed the excursions. We did experience some minor poor service by couple staff, but I am sure they will improve on that overtime and there is no concern for future visitors. The beach was not the best, too much rocks, but you can work around areas and enjoy the water. I would recommend this resort to anyone who would like stay at this resort!

Ocean El Faro: Family resort

Ocean el Faro is fairly large resort catering to families. Lots of nice pools , water park and lazy river. Grounds are well maintained. All restaurants have nice outdoor patios which was important to us during Covid. However nobody wears masks any more and I didn’t see anybody sanitizing anything. Beac [... read more]h loungers need to be replaced, most of them tired and old even in the privilege section. Privilege lounge basically doesn’t exists…nothing special. Butler service very good, good way to communicate with all parts of the hotel. Overall service was fine, beach concierge in the privilege section very good. Hotel has a beautiful Lobby and Piano Bar for evening drinks and some music. Rooms are nice and spacious.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Going down hill

We have stayed at Ocean El Faro twice now. Feb 2022 and Jan 2023. We like the resort. The design is great. We love the lobby and the rooms. The restaurants are okay. I think the food is good for what you can expect in DR, but the service at restaurants and bars is pretty poor. It took 2 hours for some dinners. H10 hotels has also introduced an online dinner reservation booking system that is AWFUL! They tell you at check in that you can make reservations from 7am-5pm but by 7:01 am they are full [... read more]y booked with no availability. we were having to set alarms at 6:50 am on vacation to be able to make a dinner reso. Furthermore the pool chairs have towels on all of them by 7:30 so if you're not an early bird this probably isn't the resort for you. My biggest disappointment is the beach. It's very rocky with plenty of GARBAGE! They do very little to maintain the beach front so it's usually covered in trash and seaweed.

Ocean El Faro: Great booking service and the resort is amazing too

The booking service was great along the way until the end of the trip. Tripcentral sent us emails with information about airport parking, entering and leaving the destination country, etc. We feel we were taken good care of. Strongly recommend it. The resort is amazing too. It's big and beautiful. The food is great and the service is excellent. The only small drawback is that the beach has some rocks. People should go to the small cove beside the resort for swimming in the sea, which was what [... read more] we enjoyed during the stay. Overall, our trip was a very good relaxing experience.
