Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: good but..

It used to be absolutely great .. now resort was overcrowded.... ....because of that: lines, service is down, food: not as good as expected.. room was excellent, location is excellent, need to come at 6:00 am to get chair at beach or pool..

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Beautiful Resort

This resort is such a beautiful resort. We were very impressed at how the resort is laid out. The “main strip” is something we have never seen before. Wonderful walkway flanked on either side by restaurants, shopping, fitness gym, bowling alley & many other activities. The restaurants were fantastic & our favourite being the Japanese restaurant Sakura. The “Adults Only” portion of the resort is well laid out. Overall we loved this resort & would definitely make a return visit.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing beach!

Very large rooms. Everything at the resort was very clean and lots of food choice. No trouble finding lounge chairs at the beach. We had a wonderful experience and couldn’t find anything wrong at all!

Grand Palladium Select Bavaro: New Experience

We decided on Bavaro Select because of recent renovations and the fact that we had issues with bathroom facilities when we were at Palace two years ago. We chose a Premium Junior Suite room without knowing where we would be located. As it turned out, this type of room was only located in one of the 3 larger Eficianado buildings on the extreme east side of the Bavaro section(E17, E18, E19). This put us at a fairly long walk to the Bavaro pool. If we had chosen a Superior Junior Suite, we would ha [... read more]ve been closer to both the pool and beach. When you book, it isn’t always clear which building might contain the type of room that you choose. The creation of Family Select at Bavaro caused some issues for us. The closest area of beach from our room that we were allowed to use had virtually no shade. Family Select and Travel Club had their own private beach that were restricted to us, meaning an extra long walk to find a beach location with huts for shade. Family Select also had a private pool but those guests were also allowed to use the regular Bavaro Pool, making it crowded at times. We had an electricity outage at our room that persisted over parts of 3 days. We had to walk to the lobby to notify of the outage because the land line in the room wasn’t working. The problem was initially fixed quickly but it recurred again the next night. If we were to book Palladium again, we would be looking at a different room type, or fork over more money to stay at TRS. We like the resort for the most part, but there are certainly some issues.

Vista Sol Punta Cana: Nice resort

Nice pools great beach our room was goid the bathroom needs work bed was comfortable there was a language bearer alotvof times the bar staff were great the food truck at the beach was nice over all a great holiday

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Old Resort and not good service

The hotel is old, the rooms were disappointing, very old, moldie and not very clean. Especially for the price we paid. The service was poor, and staff were actually rude, like they didnt really care about the people. We witness several medical incidents where none of the staff intervened and the tourists had to provide assistance or support. The beach is nice but very crowded, the food was okay, nothing special. Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Not a five-star resort. Two at most

I usually don't do the reviews especially when my review is not going to be a positive one but I do feel a little inclined to share a few words and they're not all positive. On the good note the beach, the sunshine, and the water were amazing. On the negative note I feel that the hotel, by far, is not a five-star hotel so if anyone is looking at the five-star hotel, stay away. Just FYI we booked two rooms, one for us and one for our kids. Both rooms were the same, with two bathroom fixtures that were not just outdated but outright broken. Both rooms were very humid even with AC running and our kids' room smelled moldy. Sorry, three stars is a stretch. The other item that I was not at all impressed with and this is going to be a big one is the level of safety and care. Unfortunately we have witnessed a person die at the neighboring resort that is also being sold by air transit. This is where we bought our package and the staff of that resort did nothing to try and rescue the individual. Ironically the following day as I was going at 6:00 in the morning to book a chair, it was impossible to get a chair at the beach. The resort is overbooked and oversold. I saw a lady falling down and when trying to reach the staff of the hotel they cared very little. I literally had to shout at them asking to help an individual in need so I would be very very cautious about going to this chain of hotels. Just for the sake of if anything happens, you are not going to be taken care of by any form of medical system. Ironically I'm thinking that maybe I will put up a short video. I filmed a lot of footage while at the resort and after witnessing such a traumatic event with the person on the sand being resuscitated, his heart being pumped by visitors and the staff of the hotel standing on the side observing yet another gringo dying on the beach. I do feel inclined to share this with the world so I might just post a video on their YouTube on that as well

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: 5 Star

Beautiful, very clean resort. Staff constantly cleaning, landscaping, cleaning pools , great food! Staff very friendly, white sand beach can walk for miles, at least a dozen different restaurants to choose from. Extremely pleased with everything!

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Good

Our room was great, the bottled water is very inconvenient but not bad. The grounds are beautiful and the birds at the buffet are really nice. For such a nice place the people painting are making a huge mess a the walkways making it very unattrective. The beach is great and the pools are good…kids love the water park.food is good and drinks are tasty. I would go back

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Bahia Principe Grand

This was a wonderful hotel. The grounds were very clean. The service very helpful. More choice of different hotels on the same ground. The food was also good, lots of choices with the option of other restaurants on site. I would highly recommend this place to friends.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Amazing and vey clean resort

Very very impressed with the whole resort. The staff was very good especially our butler Luis. We were well taken care of . The room service was good. Paradisus Grand Cana: Luxury all-suite resort

This resort was very well maintained both inside and out. The rooms were spacious one- bedroom suites. We enjoyed the buffet and restaurants were good. Quality of food was very good. Beautiful beach was 2-minute trolley ride away. Staff were very nice and it’s a very family friendly resort with a water park and many fun activities for children. Can take a free trolley to nearby hotel with a casino. Highly recommend this resort for an upscale holiday.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Very nice Resort

The resort was wonderful. The check in process was smooth and painless and we were shown to our room by a bellboy. The room itself was large and very spacious with a nice balcony overlooking palm trees. The mini bar was stocked daily with 4 cans of beer, 4 pop bottles and a can of sparkling water. On every floor there was a water fountain from where one could refill the water bottle kept in the room. Ice dispensers were readily accessible. The bathroom rain shower was fantastic and the bathroom  [... read more]was well stocked with plenty of towels and toiletries. The resort had a couple of swimming pools which were nicely laid out. The food was amazing with such a huge variety to satisfy even the pickiest eater. Best of all were the bars where you had to hardly wait for a cocktail to be served. In addition, no matter where you sat - out in the gazebo, in the lobby or the pool - there were always waiters circling around asking you if you needed a drink. Even on the beach, servers always came by asking if you needed a drink. Very convenient. We especially enjoyed the daily lunches that were cooked on the beach on an open fire. The paella that I had here on the beach was probably the tastiest paella that I've eaten. The specialty restaurants were nice although honestly one could get better food in the buffets. There was no shortage of lounge chairs on the beach - which was a pleasant surprise as this has been a beef of mine at other resorts, where you either had to wake up very early to grab a lounge chair or wait till someone left and you got their chair. The entertainment got to be monotonous as every day there were the same dancers albeit in different costumes. But the dance moves were all the same and after day 3, one lost all interest. During the karaoke session, the backing track volume levels were so high as to almost drown out the singers. Also the schedule laid out on the Iberostar app as well as displayed on the notice boards was seldom adhered to. As soon as "shaggy" had enough people around, he would begin the tournament. This was not fair to those that came in time for the tournament and were disappointed. Shaggy should exhibit more professional conduct and should be aware of the times posted so he can stick to the times and not to his own schedule. A dart tournament that was supposed to start at 11:30am was almost finished by 11:10am. Twice I landed up at the correct time only to find that the tournament had finished. Venues were also incorrectly labelled as "At the Beach" whereas in fact it was outside the Bohio bar and not the beach. The confusing this is that there was also a dartboard set up on the beach. Maybe once upon a time they used to have the dart tournament on the beach. The table tennis was not even mentioned anywhere yet there was supposedly a tournament held daily. Another resident told me this. At the archery tournament, I found that the bow was designed only for right handed folks whereas I am left handed. Hope the resort corrects this so laft handers can also enjoy some archery. But overall we had an amazing time and were glad we chose this resort. If I were to offer a few suggestions, they would be as follows: 1. If you advertise a time for an event, please stick to it. 2. During Karaoke evenings, ensure that the volume of the backing track is such so as to not drown out the singer's voice. 3. Have a few more coffee machines at the restaurants so we don't have to wait in a line up every time. 4. Have more variety in the entertainment, not the same dancers every day. For example a magic show, or diffent dancers, or impersonators or a musical show. When one sees the same old dancers every day, one loses interest.

Secrets Tides Punta Cana: nice resort

We thought the grounds was very clean and the rooms were very nice. Large rooms with beautiful look out. Service was excellent by the pool and beach, Getting seats for dinner was very easy with now wait and most dinners were very good. The all You can eat breakfast was very good as well..everything you needed.

TRS Turquesa: Beautiful Resort

We loved the TRS Turquesa Resort. The rooms were lovely and all of them have their own pool which we especially loved. The food was great at all of restaurants. The main buffet is amazing with so much variety, but it was a bit busy and noisy for us, because it is the main buffet for the other hotels on the property as well, so we mainly went to the buffet at Turquesa. Our only complaint was that there wasn't much entertainment in the evenings. There was a singer or a piano player in the lobby, but it didn't really provide the set up for a romantic evening of dancing. Otherwise, everything was wonderful and it was especially great having our own butler to book dinners and call the shuttle for us. Our butler was Nancy, and she was just incredible!

Grand Bavaro Princess: Very large resort

Had trouble with our room, door wouldn't close, had no hot water and our phone didn't work to call the front desk. Good thing we went with friends so they were able to help. We had to ask a grounds keeper to help us with the door as no one ever showed up. Some days we never had a room cleaning, so no replacement of water in fridge or coffee and no clean towels. Disappointed with lack of entertainment at night, just a Dj playing music

Occidental Caribe: Not a 4 star resort

Pools and beach are amazing That’s where it ends with this resort. A/C room was broken and 28 during day 27 a night. It was 29 outside Food on the buffet is worse than Cuba Cold/no variety. Smallest fruit selection I’ve ever seen To book the restaurants you need to be in line on Sunday at 6:30am or forget about it. Only book Sunday to Sunday so if you arrive Monday Tuesday Wednesday you’re out of luck. Not enough pool/beach chairs which is a disaster I have stayed at other occidental  [... read more]resorts and they were fantastic. This was awful. Show starts at 10pm, the bed sheets were supposed to be white but they were brownish white. Sometimes no hot water or cold water. The lunch pizza above the poolside buffet was great.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Nice Resort

We loved the resort, although there were a few areas that were disappointing. Food was average Drinks were ok Room was very humid and our thermostat was not working properly. They came to fix it but it still didn't work. Also our patio door was extremely difficult to open, they came 3 times to fix it but again not well . We were constantly having to ask for towels, facecloths and hand towels, which we got very sparingly. Prices in the gift shop were outrageously expensive.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Fabulous Resort

Beautiful hotel, grounds, and service. Staff was amazing, friendly and very attentive. Overall, very clean and great beach area. Most staff were awesome but a few went above and beyond. Antonio and Orlando guest experience, Santiago and his team at the steakhouse, Joel in the main dining and beach restaurant and Gregorio pool bar. The pool activity staff were the best. The Japanese restaurant staff at the Punta Cana were great but we were disappointed we weren't sitting at the big table to watch the Chef. Overall, most restaurants had tasty food but was usually cold, especially the buffets. The Fish Market and Brazilian at the Esmeralda were the most disappointing for both food and service. Overall, a wonderful travel experience.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Great resort

The hotel is huge, grounds are very well kept, well manacured. Our room and bathroom were spotless. There were no shortage of pools to swim in or sit by, the beach was fantastic. You will not go hungry there are plenty of places to eat our favorite was the Thai restaurant, great food and very attentive staff. The only fly in the ointment for us was the line up for breakfast in the mornings, as I said it's a big place and there are lots of people. You won't be disappointed.
