Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Fabulous resort!!!

Our hotel rooms and grounds were kept extremely clean. Room Service was amazing...food was hot and delicious!!(large portions) :) I requested joining rooms and we got them. The entertainment was excellent for young and old. Every night! The kids pool was the BEST I have ever seen! Watersides even for small children and with three lifeguards!!! The snackbar at this pool was great. Lots of goodies to eat and drink. All positives here people!

Secrets Royal Beach: Wonderful resort

The resort, restaurants, beach, pool and staff are all fabulous. We would definitely return. We stayed at the preferred section and enjoyed how conveniently it was located to everything. We enjoyed our dinners at all of the restaurants as well as the Mercur at the Now Larimar. Service was excellent!

Ocean Blue and Sand: Very nice resort

Even thought this was a small resort, it was still very comfortable and having wifi throughout the resort was great , food was really good with lots of variety, rooms were nice although there was a lack of towels and stocking of mini bar was slacking. over all a very nice time was had and would recommend to friends

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: very clean resort

loved the resort when we arrived,not impressed with sunwing airlines will not be taking them again. a beautiful resort the restaurants are good the best is thalassa,the staff are very attentive and always smiling.forget the Italian terrible staff no smiles no organization.unless you ask for things like water or wine you won't see them. the ability to use the family side of the resort was great , the service on that side was better. the beach yes there was lots of seaweed but the staff did a gre [... read more]at job in cleaning the beach,the waiters and waitress were great on the beach never had to track down anyone. would I recommend this resort,yes I would the staff have to change in some restaurants.you cant beat the beach or the water,warm after lunch and you can walk out into the ocean for a mile a long sand bar.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Perfectly Fabulous!

We visited OB&S for the first time this April. We are in our 50s and the guests were a very mixed age group which was great. We loved so many aspects of this resort -- the layout and access to everything was like a mini city; our room was very spacious, always stocked, and very clean; the grounds were well maintained and also very clean. The Marina buffet at the beach was very good, albeit repetitive, but we ate there every lunch because Juan Miguel's service was fabulous. We would highly recommend the Steakhouse for dinner - both their steak and chicken were delicious, the service was fantastic, and Joelle and her staff were a pleasure. Sensai Japenese was another great a la carte. The Sports Bar was the place to be during the week of our stay as the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins were facing off in NHL playoffs. The Bartender in the Sports Bar (name escapes me) was overworked on those nites, but he managed to please, and on the quieter nites made sure we also had our drinks, without us even asking - he remembered each nite! Entertainment around the lobby was varied and entertaining. The pools, their bartenders, the activities, and the afternoon entertainment crew was energetic. One pool had the activities and the other was considered the "quite pool". We lounged at the quiet pool. There were plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas but getting up before 6:30am to put towels down is necessary if you want an umbrella. We didn't lounge on the beach, just walked each side and went in for dips in the ocean which was very nice, but a little merky. It was everything we wanted in a week's vacation. The only downside was the fact that numerous people had their safes broken into and management did absolutely nothing about it in the way of a resolution, almost blaming the victims for leaving money and passports in a locked safe. This needs to change. But for this fact, we had a fun and relaxing time with perfect weather and the best serving staff ever! We will return, and hopefully will not have to carry our valuables with us every moment!

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Wonderful vacation

This was our second all-inclusive vacation to the Caribbean and we were not disappointed. The resort was lovely and very clean. The food was good, although the breakfast buffet did not change and became quite repetitive after the 4th day. (But definitely try the hot chocolate available during breakfast -- very yummy!) The room decor felt dated but the ocean view from our balcony more than made up for the interior decor. Husband is 6'5" and felt very enclosed while showering however. The sp [... read more]orts bar on the Palace side would benefit significantly from an upgrade to their air conditioning system -- as the only place to watch the NHL playoff games while on vacation, the bar became ridiculously hot and stuffy with so many people inside. Overall it was a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Great for families

We visited Memories Splash in April 2018. The resort was clean as well as the rooms and the staff were friendly. Resort is large. There is a trolley to take you to different stops as well as the sister resort which has beach access. Lots of stuff to keep you busy. Water slides/park was our favourite part. Con would be check in and out are extremely slow. Not enough staff to run the front desk.

Excellence El Carmen: Very clean, modern and new.

The resort is in top shape and everything was impeccable. The first impressions were amazing and that lasted all the way through the entire trip. All the restaurants are clean and quite nice and food is very decent.

Occidental Caribe: Beautiful resort!

Although this resort is large, its very well designed and you can easily walk to where you wish to go. The food was very good.. premises was very clean. Service was super and the beach was simply amazing!

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: FAB resort

the food was amazing, the rooms are beautiful, the staff are friendly, very safe area, beach was one of the best spots compared to the others- no seaweed, light sand, little waves but clear light blue/green- absolutely gorgeous. the entertainment was fun, lively and had something to do every night. the service we received was top Notch! I would recommend CHIC to friends and would like to visit again ***********

From the moment I got there it was nothing like the site indicated we had substantial room the room smelt of mold was dirty maids need to be trained in cleanliness forget to leave towels pillow cases no pool towels no bath robs the mini bar was not filled like what was promised no extra blankets just two sheets the coffee cups were never changed unless u hunted them down we left plenty of tips never made a difference had to wait for bar service always!! It was a trip that will be etched in our minds forever. Feeling like a king and queen with butler service if so desired. Even a pillow selection was offered and every night chocolates on our pillows. An absolutely beautiful resort close to the beach. Service was impeccable. Rooms were spacious and very clean. The food was amazing in every restaurant. Even the buffet was extraordinary! We've only been home 3 days and can't wait to go back!

Ocean Blue and Sand: The Good, The Bad & The UGLY

Apr 21-28, ‘18 First impressions are low class, inelegant, and cheap. Room is musty and door lock rusty. Was robbed of $300 from my room, my safe was popped 2x and my ID rifled thru. My sis got a fungal skin infection from party pool. Girls gone Wild twerk shows aren’t conducive to a family resort setting. Security caters to a hooker on beach with resort towels. Worm in my fish.

Bahia Principe Explore Turquesa: Good resort

Hotel was good. So big that we got lost multiple times but overall OK. We've been to better buffet before and wasn't able to use the other resorts of the complex buffet for breakfast or dinner but the beach snack bars worked well for us for lunch. Main buffet had not a good variety of food. Beach was very crowded as we haven't seen before in any other resort but didn't bother us much. Bedrooms were cleaned every day and room service was fast when we needed. Overall we had a great time with t [... read more]he family but I don't think I would come back as we know better resorts down there unless the price was really cheaper.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Average Resort

Went to this resort with two girlfriends. We had a great time because it was three friends who wanted to get away and enjoy the sunshine and it was a great week of sunshine. The food was not great, not many options in the buffet, same thing every day. but you can always find something, it's only a week. The breakfast omelet guy was fantastic. The a la cartes that we tried were good, I highly recommend the Japanese and Italian. Steakhouse was good the first night, not the second. The beach  [... read more]was ok, but the water was terrible, I wonder if it was because of the hurricanes in late 2017, so much seaweed, they had a tractor going along and trying to clean it up, but didn't help much. The pool... I suggest you add a ladder or two, to get out, rather than have to swim half way around to get to the walkout area. We upgraded to Privileged, (should have saved our $$) our room was nice and we got a few perks, like sitting in a separate section of the buffet, avoiding lineups. (not worth the extra $25 per day) We did have access to the Privileged Bar where we spend a few evenings with Junior, the Best Bartender ever. In the afternoons the bar was serviced by Jennifer, she too was absolutely amazing. I would not return to this resort.

Tropical Deluxe Princess: This resort only have 2 amazing things. Beautiful beach beautiful swimming pools.

During our stay, we never got any hot water in the room. No coffee maker, no iron . The food at the buffet very mediocre, always the same. At night nothing to do, lobby only radio music. Show very mediocre. Stay 8 times in Punta Cana, this resort was the worst.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: A little disappointing but great staff!

Great service. Lovely weather and fine sand beach. Food is ok. Beach is packed. Shade is coveted. Comfortable chairs are reserved for the preferred club and “special members’ Rooms are comfortable. Bathrooms could be cleaner. Gardens are lovely. Entertainment is cute, with the occasional real talent. Lots of activities are available if you want them. The pool area is standard nice but open only from 8-6 so no early morning or evening swimming. Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Good resort if you like to party - not if you like relaxing and quiet

The rooms, grounds, food, beach and staff were amazing. We have no complaints. However, we were not prepared for the craziness of this resort. Thankfully we were able to find some quieter areas to enjoy. The party pool is insane, and the singles vibe was at times unbearable.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Unfforgetable Stay

Our friends and us spent just a wonderful time, great food and drinks, entertainment and the weather came with sunny days. The check-in process took a little more than expected, maybe need more staff at the front desk at arrival time, many flights landing between 12~4 pm. Wi-Fi was not included in the package, today's world most people want to be connected.
