Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Beautiful

ALL was amazing!!! From the beginning check in to room, to our first buffet All the a LA cartes Everything was perfect. The staff throughout the resort were so very kind especially Yanna Tania and Santa.

Vista Sol Punta Cana: Worst resort ever!

I booked a swim up room at this resort but there is no such thing here. All the entrance to the pool are on the opposite side of your patio doors, therefore you have to walk around the building, then walk around the pool to enter the water. They have no service at the buffet. If you want something to drink you have to get it yourself. Maids say they will bring towels in 5 minutes but you end up calling main lobby for someone to bring them while you wait. Woke up to a flood in my bathr [... read more]oom. Water was coming down from the ceiling light over the sink. All my toilettery and bag was soaked. My cell phone was plugged in and sitting on the bathroom counter and that was also wet. When you shower the so called shower door isn’t wide enough to prevent water from getting your floor all wet and there is mold and mildew . Beds and pillows are horrible to sleep on. They also don’t have designated smoking areas so one can imagine how suffocating it can be to sit at the amphitheater or main lobby. Now I understand why some of the customers keep going back! Just the place smokers love to go but if you are a non smoker it’s horrible.

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Absolutely continues to be an AMAZING RESORT!!

This is our second visit to this resort and we have no complaints whatsoever. The food is out of this world, amazing variety, quality and always so many options for adults and children (even a children's buffet at lower height for them to help themselves). There is a lunch buffet restaurant at the beach and a grill for bbq goods all day. The hotel was always very clean including the outdoor surroundings and the room was spacious. The entertainment was fantastic for the kids every night and we always felt very safe and welcome. I would strongly recommend this resort for anyone with children.

Viva Tangerine by Wyndham: Great, small family friendly resort!

Exactly what we expected. Great family resort with wonderful staff. Rooms and resort in general was very clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend here as a great low key holiday!

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Catalonia bavero

Third trip to this hotel booked Privilege room this year as Standard room is dated needs upgrades. Room very nice and spacious a slightly higher pricebut worth the money. The food in the buffet has a good variety and good the ala carte restaurants are good. The grounds are well appointed with their ponds and ducks swimming around. Good evening entertainment. One disappointment at the golf course 1.this year you needed to reserve tee times as previous two year you just show up and golf.  [... read more] The staff are not golfers so they have no idea how tee times work. They would allow people to start golfing regardless of tee times . They have to be better organized they should have a Starter at the first tee block to co-ordinate tee times. Also this resort advertises golf they should run the golf course better such as having Rangers on the coure as we ran into un étiquetted players Overall it’s a good resort for families kids have their own pool area Great beach excellent staff Will go back next year . Hopefully golf situation will improve i will be emailing my golf concerns

Punta Cana Princess: This resort is beautiful.

The resort has great staff that are very attentive to you needs. We have been there 5 times in the span of 16 years and they still have the same staff. The resort is beautiful. They have kept it up. The food is very good and the beach and pool areas are lovely.

Tropical Deluxe Princess: Average resort

This resort is ok . There are only 3 restaurants you can eat at , the rest you have to pay extra which Isn’t right. You should have all for no extra cost. Also there were no alcoholic drinks in our room and you had only cocktails and beer available without extra costs on resort.Rooms need to be updated and kids club wasn’t opened every time we went. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Beautiful resort, very clean ,the beach is amazing .

Loved it the rooms were clean , the staff are very friendly, the food was so delicious and they have a big variety of it,the resort is so clean, our grand children had a great time at the children shows and in the pools and the beautiful clean sandy beach, we love the entertainments every night. We were 8 in our group and Jose at the buffet was a great help to make sure we are sitting together. Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Good Resort - Don;t go for the food.

Everything about this resort was great except for the food. The grounds, pool, beach and staff were excellent. The rooms were good and clean but somewhat tired looking. The food was cold, over cooked or undercooked, over salted and generally not nearly as good as other resorts even Cuban resorts.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Beautiful resort

We were very pleased with this resort. The room was big and modern. We did have a recently renovated room. The staff were amazing. Big shout out to Evelyn and my two Antonios at the bar. Also the entertainment staff were so much fun. Victor kept you hopping he was great. The grounds were amazing. Wild life every where to watch. Bridges and ponds to watch the fish and feed turtles. There was a bit of an issue with seaweed but that doesn't bother us. You could walk to a doulphin park down the beach. The restaraunts were so good. They had a pool side snack bar with pizza natch is hotdogs and burgers. Open until 2am. There was also a creperie at the beach. There was a great coffee cafe in the little mall with freshly made coissant sandwiches. The alacarte restaurants were nice but I have had better food.The selection at the buffet was amazing. You did have to share your space with the birds if you chose to eat by the water area. One girl had her omelet taken off her plate when she went back for juice. We did an excursion to Santo Domingo by bus. Well worth the money but a very long day.The guest services (Stephany) went above and beyond. My husband forgot his diabetic medicine and she sent us to the resort Doctor, we got a prescription and she organized the pharmacy to deliver it to the hotel while we sat in the bar and had a drink. The age group was mixed with young people to retirees. Lots of families as well. Nightly entertainment was average. The disco was fun. Over all it was one of our best experiences at an all inclusive.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Lush Tropical Resort

Resort staff are friendly. We really liked the style of the development and all the greenery. It would have been nice to know that part of the beach was under construction and that the water is murky.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Great Resort

Enjoyed our stay at the resort. One thijg though. Upon arrival the room only had one king bed for 2 guys when we were expecting 2 beds. I approached staff who switched us 2 a correct room with 2 beds but charged us 5 Dollars US extra per nite 4 6 nites. I asked for that 2 be waived informing staff that this was my 5th or 6th visit to the Bahia chain of hotels. After confering with his manager I was told nothing could be done. I was disappointed .

Ocean El Faro: Nice & New All Inclusive

Pros: Beautiful, new rooms and facilities. Restaurants are casual dress and do not require reservations which allows you to visit a different restaurant every night. Nightly entertainment was different. So many pools with daily activities or chose a pool that is calm just to relax. Snack bars were great. Cons: Time share-from morning until mid afternoon if you visit the lobby bar, expect to encounter people trying to get you to sit down and hear their timeshare presentation. (We avoided this)  [... read more] The beach is nice, lots of seating/lounge chairs, however the water was unsuitable to swim. Most people went to the lagoon area about 20m off resort property.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Just OK

The grounds are very nice. The food was decent at the buffets. The staff work very hard serving coffee wine and water. The Ocean Grill and Octopus restaurants were very good. Had sea bass and surf and turf that was really good. Did not enjoy the Italian restaurant though. Had pork cutlets with marsala sauce and they were very hard to cut and were not tender. I guess I should have complained at the time. We had a noisy room overlooking the pool. I don't think I had anything that I really enjoyed.

Riu Palace Macao: Loved it!

I’d read a few mixed reviews on this resort... glad I didn’t listen! Loved my room, it was an upgraded junior suite with a jacuzzi tub, it was comfortable and clean and cool! The food at the buffet was good, plentiful, and a lot of variety. I went to one a la carte restaurant, and found the buffet to be just as good , if not better. The staff were plentiful and pleasant. There were a few vendors who patrolled the beach, but did not bother you if you showed no interest. I would recommend this resort in a heartbeat! I found the clientele averaged about 50-55 years old. I wouldn’t hesitate in returning.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Big Resort

This is a resort made up of older and newer buildings. Get ready for a lot of up hill walking although there are shuttles. We had an ocean view room which was very nice compared to what we were told about some of the other rooms. In regards to the main buffet restaurant it is quite the uphill walk to get to. So take this into account with children and mobility issues. The staff were very friendly and the food was quit good. lots of areas where some people can go and some can't. There are differe [... read more]nt levels of VIP wrist bands - again our wrist band allowed us into one area but it was a bit of a walk to get to. These VIP areas give you complimentary WIF and better food and drink choices. But you are packed in like sardines in a very small area. There are beds in these portions of the beach but you need to get there early. The first day we arrived the beach was very dirty but it got better as the week went on. Be careful of the offer to show you around the resort on a VIP tour. It's actually a 'timeshare' tour. Has some very good things to offer you if you are looking to invest. I don't think we will return.

Occidental Caribe: Nice resort - a little dated

The buffet was good. The Japanese restaurant was excellent. The staff were very helpful. The hotel itself is ok in many respects but the bathrooms need upgrading. We had a great room with high ceilings on the 4th floor. Room 7411.

Riu Republica: Amazing Resort

This resort deserves all stars! The grounds are very well kept, staff was fantastic and the food was delicious! I would definitely return to this resort. I particularly enjoyed the shows also, very enjoyable

Presidential Suites Cabarete: An interesting experience combining all-inclusive with timeshare...

Beautiful facility half on the beach, half facing the mountains, clean, friendly service, great food (buffet, one a la carte), marvelous rooms, nice pools. Mainly a timeshare location with all-inclusive suites, so more like a nice hotel with amenities vs a traditional, immersive all-inclusive resort. Facility split by main highway, so noisy 24/7 Aggressive VIP Club/timeshare employees. Had to sneak into buffet via beach bar to avoid them at main entry

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Lovely Family Friendly Resort

I was very happy with this resort as a great destination to take my grand children. We were with our 8 month old grandson. Our concerns about having a baby in the speciality restaurants and any common areas were that we may be out of place and disturb others. I can happily say that our boy was welcomed everywhere. There were so many children and this resort catered to them and their families perfectly. Every staff member made us feel welcome and this made our stay the best it could be. My  [... read more]only concern was the bar service. The bar staff seemed to ignore some customers and cater to others. Looked very much like tipping was the only way to get service. This did not happen in any restaurant. I watched the bar staff ignore a woman beside me for so long that she finally left without being served.
