Barcelo Ixtapa: Amazing beach. Dated resort.

Pools are nice. Service is ok poolside. No room service. Drinks are watered down. DO NOT EAT THE SUSHI they dont know how to cook sushi rice and it is always half cooked. Mexican food is good. Food selection is large, if bland. Staff struggle with english. Location and rooms are really good, if very dated. This is a 4 star resort... at best.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Faded Glory

You can tell this was once a lovely resort. It needs repairs and wasn't up to the standards of cleanliness I have come to expect. The food was very much like the service, hit or miss. A great dish, a great employee, and then three okay and one awful. Those were the ratios. I won't be returning, but I feel it has potential with effective management.

Crown Paradise Club: Alot of things to do

The Hotel is nice. The food was good and there was a huge variety at the buffet.The lapalapa could use a good cleaning on the chairs. You can see whales from the shore and big cruise ships going by . We walked on the shore up to an area where there is crocodiles. The nightly show was great especially the guy with the hola hoop. The hot tub and bar was nice. Should have the bar open later though. We would go back again , next time we would take kids. It's not a real romantic resort.

Hacienda Buenaventura Hotel and Mexican Charm: Very nice resort!

This was our second time at the Hacienda Buenaventura. The only downside is that it’s about a five minute walk to the beach and when you go out the front door to get there, you’re on the major road through town so there’s some noise and exhaust fumes. The staff here are exceptional. It’s a small enough hotel that you really get to know your servers, bartenders etc. Most of the staff from our first visit are still there so I assume that they are treated well. Franchesko, the senior  [... read more]of the restaurant waiters was great. The entertainment is limited and there is no disco so it’s a pretty quiet place- not party central. The food does get a bit repetitive after a while and the selection for vegetarians is a bit limited but we don’t go there for gourmet food. The beach club is on a very good part of the beach and the service at the beach bar and snack bar was great. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for a more authentic Mexican experience.

Melia Puerto Vallarta: Not so good

We have stayed ar 3 other Melia resorts and this one was definitely our least favorite. Had a few issues without room. Breakfast and lunch buffet wasn't too bad but dinner wasn't so good. Location is great!

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Amazing

Just returned from a wonderful vacation at the Blue Bay Esmeralda. The food was great, rooms were clean, the pool was nice. The resort is large and spread out so there is a lot of walking but we really have no complaints! Would definitely go back to this resort.

Grand Sunset Princess: Great Resort

This was our third time here, and we plan to make a fourth trip in the near future. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking to relax at a high end resort that is clean and has great service

The Local Hotels Mazatlan: Incredible Staff!

This was our second vacation at The Local Hotel. All the staff are still amazing and always smiling! The stairs down to the beach from the pool area are a great addition, as well as the music in the lobby bar. Arthur is doing a great job in there! The impeccable service from Able, Ricardo & Lewis should be commended. They are most definitely what draws us back to this hotel each year. It has become our home away from home and can't wait to return next year.

Occidental Cozumel: Very Relaxing Resort

Rooms very clean and spacious. Grounds well kept. short walk to all areas, pools lobby and ocean. Buffets are a tad small. Staff gave very good service. Ocean a bit rocky going in. Not much going on for entertainment at night.

Riu Emerald Bay: Pretty good fr

The worst part of this resort is the elevator situation. Only two elevators work and they take forever to get one, it is very frustrating. The food is pretty average in the main buffets but the Asian restaurant Bamboo is very good. You have to ask the front desk to stock the water bottles in your room but that’s probably because they don’t want you to waste plastic bottles. The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: Amazing Resort

We were first time on on this resort and we were surprised by the warm welcoming stuff at the front desk. Was late evening when we arrived, the concierge set us with the room, immediately we were taken with a golf cart to our vila. We have booked a double room and for our surprise we got an one bedroom apartment. Everything in that unit was perfect from the well stocked fridge, bed, pillows, bathroom, full kitchen, living with sofa, TV, just name it. Grounds are clean, beautiful flowers, wil [... read more]d animals, great pathways for walk. Great and tasty food, lots of options in a la carte or buffet, we like their coffee in the morning. Pools are clean and some have salted water. Clean beach and well maintained, no problem to get a chair. We like everything about this resort and was very hard to leave, definitely we will come back.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Great Vacation

Everything was just perfect. The grounds and landscaping were beautiful. Trees and green everywhere. Beach nice and clean and water warm. It was really a tropical paradise. We enjoyed it very much. Lots to eat. We mostly went to the buffet and it was delicious. The rooms were very nice and the people very pleasant to talk to. We didn't see too much of the entertainment, we usually went to bed early. But there was a great group in the afternoon. It was nice to see the kids on stage too. The youth workers with them were very good. Kids loved them. And that guy in the afternoon leading the exercise and dancing at the pool was terrific and lots of fun, Erick I think his name was. The waiters were excellent. I promised I would remember their names, but they were all good.

Palacio Mundo Imperial: Amazing Resort

We stayed for one week at the resort and had a great time. There were 6 of us that went and we will all be back again next year. We enjoyed visiting the sister resorts (Princess and Pierre) and especially enjoyed our visit to Scala Beach for the day. On our last night, we went to the Princess Resort and had a lovely a la carte steak dinner.

Grand Sens Cancun: Decent adult only resort

i have been to several all inclusive resorts and this is the first time booking an adult only resort. It was a bit smaller but had all the amenities you need. There were a couple of options for a la carte restaurants and the food was quite good. The drawback is there were no reservations so you had to figure out the best times to go so you did not have to wait too long. The buffet was mediocre but plenty of variety. Rooms were clean and we were lucky to have a balcony as not all had one. T [... read more]hey stocked with water, pop and beer every other day. Staff were overall friendly and helpful. Beach is nice but you have to get up by 6:30 to reserve a decent spot if you want a shaded area and chair. There is one pool which is adequate for the resort but it would have been nice to have a few more options. There are two other affiliated resorts which you can access during the day if you want a change of scenery. There was a lack of activity staff but the location is ideal to take a walk or bus to local shopping, activities and other restaurants. Evening entertainment was good.

Samba Vallarta: Welcoming resort with amazing staff

The staff make this a great resort very friendly and always trying to make your vacation special. The grounds are very well maintained, the rooms themselves are a bit older but clean. I was disappointed that the bar fridge wasn’t restocked daily nor was the coffee, but easy enough to go down to a restaurant and pick up yourself and bring back to the room. Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Needs repairs

Very nice grounds well kept wasted whole day waiting for someone to come shut of shower. control that fell apart when turned on.it took them hours to realize they couldn't repair the control and moved us to another room. Someone went through our dresser drawers we reported it but think it fell on deaf ears.the beach was the shits. Theytry to. keep it clean of seaweed.but looks like a full time job. staff was very friendly.someone went through our dresser drawers and removed some water we put th [... read more]ere. Grand Sens Cancun: Grand Sens Cancún Mexico

Well our stay at Grand Sens Cancún was just a few days ago feb 23/2020 to March 6 2020. Honestly I am not really sure what I can say about our 12 day stay other than amazing right from the start. While checking in we inquired about upgrading and decided not to do. We entered our room and we where in shock we had room 4129 A....omg she gave us a suite it was amazing everything about it. Just wonderful. The buffet omg unbelievable awesome 12 days of fantastic food and the staff in the buffet dinning room went out of there way ALWAYS. The coffee bar omg another awesome thing about Grand Sens. The beach and water area another perfect place spend most of our 12 days there. Just a short walk out front of building to jump on to the Ultramar ferry to Isla Mujeres short little ride to another awesome day trip. Also in same spot u jump on the Dancer party boat, Jolly Roger boat and Captian Hook boat. The front desk workers went out of there way anytime we had questions. Azul Ixtapa Grand Resort: Amazing view!

If your looking for a relaxing week in Mexico this is the place! The service was great and people were very friendly. The view is breathtaking, waking up seeing the ocean was a great start to the day. (every room is facing the ocean) If you are a beach kind of person, this resort has a small area but you can walk to either side of the resort to enjoy 2 long walking beaches. There is also the Island of Ixtapa, just a 10 minutes taxi boat ride, where great food and snorkeling awaits! (make sure [... read more] to bring pesos) I had brought american money with me for my trip but the resort only accepts pesos or visa/mastercard. You can't exchange your money at the resort you'll need to head to the village of Ixtapa about 10 minutes taxi ride.

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Excellent resort

At first i thought the beach located across the street from the hotel would be a problem however you did not realize the street at all. Great views if the sea and cruise port. It was something new everyday. Food was good, hotel was close enough to everything. Pool and beach was also good. Snorkelled right off the beach.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Just wonderful!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ocean Riviera Paradise hotel. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were totally impressed with the immaculate grounds, the hotel, the staff, the beach, the pools, the food - absolutely everything!!
