Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: DeCameron Complex in Buceria Mexico [

A large complex with many buildings and manypools etc. The accomodation is very good - king bed; very well maintained and cleaned etc. The place is set on a beautiful, long beach strip with seemingly unlimited chairs and umbrellas and pullapas. We all know what it feels like to come home, being pampered, and enjoying favourite dishes and activities; your family going out of their way to ensure your total comfort and enjoyment. Octavian, one of the main chefs, acted like a big brother to both my wife and I, but especially to my wife with her gluten-free requirements. He created unbelievable, special dishes for her at breakfast, lunch and dinner. He would always find her, wherever we were, and make sure she was taken care of. It seemed like Octavian never slept, as he also conducted a “guacamole” class between lunch and dinner. There were many other “brothers and sisters”, who pampered us throughout our holiday. America, a hostess, always greeted us each morning for breakfast and at lunch with the biggest smile and hug. Rodrigo not only took care of us by the pool but stopped at our cabana, almost daily to enquire if we needed anything. Adriana was incredible by the “tranquility pool” always ensuring we had what we needed. By the way, Adriana makes the best margaritas we have ever had. Mauricio, as our butler not only provided everything we required, but if something was not right, he would fix it very quickly. Cesar was outstanding on both of our visits to Valencia. Tsunami (affectionately known as “Big Wave”) always had time for us each day with her stories, various activities and beautiful smile. This incredible lady can speak 5 languages. You know you are truly home when old friends from previous years (this was our 3rd consecutive year), Mirna and Marcello, stop by to welcome you with a hug, and of course ask if you need anything. It appears that each year the food keeps getting better. We ate at Toni’s and Valencia twice, off the a la carte menu (highly recommended) at the Japanese restaurant, and mixed in the outstanding international themed cuisine buffet dinners. The matriarch to us, of this Iberostar Grand Paraiso family is Laura Favial, the assistant General Manager. Laura last year quickly and expertly dealt with an issue we had. This year she stopped by to see how we were doing, and also personally came out to wish us an enjoyable and safe trip home, but only after she enquired, if everything was to our liking. She appears to be the key link to a well oiled machine. If you are at all interested in coming home, and being welcomed as such, Iberostar Grand Paraiso is your choice. We know that and will be back next year and hopefully for many more.

Holiday Inn Ixtapa: Very Good Resort

The hotel was great . We stayed in the older part of this resort 3rd floor ocean view .We had a Great time there .the rooms were very clean and the resort was well maintained by grounds people and resort staff . Food was ok as there was always something on the buffet that we enjoyed .for breakfast lunch or dinner .hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the bartenders and waiters could not be nicer we felt like part of their family b y the way they treated us .We have nothing but  [... read more]respect for them. We didn't get to see any shows because we went bar hoping across the road and met so many people doing the same we also ate there a couple of times .The ocean was very rough but you use your common sense .and only go in when it is safe so we spent time around pool and ocean .We did the bike ride for 2 hours very cheap and nice ride along the trails. Over all we had a really GREAT VACTION. .SO in closing I say JOB WELL DONE HOLIDAY INN RESORT .WE WILL BE BACK TO ENJOY THE HEAT AND SUNSETS AGAIN

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Such a beautiful place

We loved this resort, it was very clean and well kept the staff was super nice and was always there to help. The food was amazing. The rooms were clean and well kept, housekeeping was quick and efficient. The one thing we didn't like was that there were not enough pool lounge chairs at the main pool for the amount of people, and sitting behind a hedge not being able to see the pool we didn't like either. Other than that it was fabulous.

Riu Playacar: Great Trip!

The hotel was great, the staff was great and accommodations were clean and comfortable. The buffet restaurant exceeded expectations, ice cream and coffee were amazing. The entertainment staff were friendly, always creating moments of fun for the little kids right up to the adults. I really enjoyed my time and would recommend the property to anyone wanting a relaxing, carefree vacation with or without their little ones. Great job Riu!

Krystal Grand Puerto Vallarta: Hacienda amazing!

We stayed at the Hacienda Hilton in Puerto Vallarta. It’s a beautiful adults only section attached to the Hilton. The staff was friendly, hardworking, and happy. The food was great, many healthy options always available, amazing mojitos and no one was annoyed when they had to make one(as we have experienced at other resorts).The adults only pool was maybe a bit too quiet for our liking, but no big deal. The beach was great for long walks and had a private area where the vendors were not to bother you. We had such a great time. Thanks Hilton staff!

Riu Playacar: Awesome resort

Enjoyed staying at riu playacar in Playa del carmen amazing attentive staff food was great resort was clean I would definitely give this place a 5 ⭐it's also central to all the great excursion that this part of .Mexico has to offer

Akumal Bay Beach and Spa Resort: Amazing resort

Great smaller resort that is not party central great for young families and people who want to have fun ,but not a million people beautiful beach and great entertainment during the evenings also very close for day trips.

Selection Riviera Cancun: Excellent Resort!

We stayed at this beautiful resort during the last week of February 2020. Overall it was a wonderful and very pleasant experience. Eating at the Spoon Restaurant was a real treat! The food and variety were great. Staff at the Spoon were very welcoming and very friendly. Special mention for Jose Luis Cahuich - very pleasant, prompt and courteous! Beach was very clean and beach staff were very helpful. Ground at the resort looked very beautiful and it was easy to get from one place to another. The nightly entertainment was excellent too. Looking forward to my next visit to this resort again!

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Great Resort

Food was great. Pools were awesome. Great beaches for walking. The spa package was amazing but the process needed to be explained better(i.e. what order to do things in). Could have used more staff at the pool bar.You don't need a reservation at the a la carte restaraunts but you don't always get in due to the Privileged guests getting priority. I would recommend reserving.

Occidental Tucancun: Good place to stay

We spent 2 weeks in Occidental Tucancun and had a really good time. The hotel was clean and had all the amenities one needs. It was really handy to have the mall across the street. The location of this hotel is great. The beach was beautiful as as always the case in the hotel zone and we spent a lot of time playing in the waves. The Mexican restaurant was quite good and the Italian restaurant made a good to order pasta. The room was large and clean and the fridge restocked daily. Our room was facing the lagoon and the AC noise was really loud so we had to keep the windows closed. That was one negative. The other bigger negative was that you had to pay extra for wi-fi ($45 US a week). We never had to pay that much money for wi-fi. So we didn't. We would walk over to the mall and connect there. The staff at OT were very friendly. I want to especially thank Louis and Antonio at the beach restaurant for their hospitality and bright smiles. Overall it was a great hotel and we would definitely recommend this resort.

Park Royal Beach Huatulco: Unique experience

Hotel was great. Rooms large and very clean. Great service. Amazing views. Location was fantastic !! Great pool on 7th floor with all amenities Not recommended if you have mobility issues - lots of stairs

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Nice place

Nice hotel, great staff, good food. Quiet and private. Very well kept property, resort is on the small side. Pool decks get a little crowded during the day. The beach is beautiful but to rough to swim in

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: First Time Here

Traveled to the Royal Decameron the last week in February for the first time. We have been in Puerto Vallarta many times but this was our first visit to the Decameron. The resort is about 15 - 20 mins from the airport but can be longer if your transfer bus has to drop off at other resorts. We took almost an hour to get to our resort as we went into Neuvo Vallarta to drop off. We took a taxi to return to the airport and it only took 15 mins, with a cost of 240 pesos. It is a lovely resort, [... read more] with multi colored buildings which gives it an authentic Mexican feel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Everywhere in the resort is clean and well maintained, actually I don't think I have ever been in a cleaner resort in Mexico. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food is plentiful and fresh and well prepared, from the breakfast buffet to the Specialty restaurants. Our favorite was the PIccolo (Mediterranean style, but mostly Italian). There are 5 Specialty restaurants. You can book the restaurants every night of your stay, but can only book 2 at a time. Booking is every morning at 8:30(the brochure we were given said 8 but the Guest Services staff does not get there till 8:30. People begin lining up as early as 6:30, once the process begins it is very quick. The beach is very nice, able to walk a long way in either direction. There are many lounge chairs and palapas along the beach. Suggest you bring a blow up float mattress (from the dollarstore is fine) to put on the lounge chairs as they are the hard white plastic chairs. The air mattresses are also sold at the gift shop in the lobbies. There are 5 pools, 2 are in an adult section or quiet section of the resort, Block 5 and 6. We stayed in Block 5 which was very quiet and peaceful, In the evening you could hear the show at the theater but you can hear that through the whole resort, it ends around 10:30 pm and once your balcony door is closed it is not a problem Not all the buildings have elevators (3 and 4 story buildings), so if you have mobility issues make sure to request a building with an elevator. There are no fridges in the rooms, but I believe you can request one. The rooms are locked with a traditional key that is put on a lanyard, be careful not to loose your key as you will be charged for a replacement, but also the key has your room number etched into it, so if found someone could enter your room. There are safes in the rooms, however it also is locked with a key, that you purchase for 50 pesos a day. There are spa treatments available, we had a massage on the beach which was lovely. They run specials everyday, on Tuesday a 50 minute massage was $20 US I would recommend this resort but if I had younger children with me I am not sure that they would be entertained, there is an activities pool but not really a children's section or play areas.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: The hotel as lost a star

Many downgrades since our last visit a year ago: no more included room service, no waiters on the beach, no tequila bottle in the room... The room cleaning service has also gone down: many days the sheets are not changed, the floor is not cleaned and the mini fridge is not filled as expected... One great improvement: the new water system, distributers instead of plastic bottles and the quality is better. Same beautiful site, great employees and great food!

Las Brisas Ixtapa: Memories

Once again we spent our week at this amazing hotel and were not disappointed. Fantastic service by one of our favourites Jorge! The hotel was not crowded, the food was plenty and the scenery- breathtaking. I do have a little advice to first time travellers. BRING 20 pesos denominations. We had a horrible time trying to break large bills. No one seems to carry 20’s so we were tipping bigger than usual. Not that it wasn’t worth it, but it’s nice to have the option. We went to Ixtapa island for the second time, it was beautiful but the water was a little murky and even though we did see fish, not as many as last year. We took a cab ourselves instead of the excursion which we liked better. (We brought our own gear as well). This resort is a definite YES for quiet, alone time with a perfect view and service. Las Brisas Huatulco: I had a great holiday at las brisas

I loved the birds. Squirrels, all the beautiful trees and that you are not just confined to one strip of beach but can wonder around and chose from 3 beaches.. a bit a pity that people start to bring their music to the beach and disturbe the natural sounds. but the hotel told them to please turn it down- that helped. food was great, staff very friendly. all in all a great week.

Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya: Incredible resort

Spectacular resort. An adults only must. A lush tropical paradise. Staffed by people that care for your every need. Something to see, do and experience from sunrise to the wee hours of the next morning. You make of it it what you want, but it offers you the vacation experience you want.

Las Brisas Huatulco: I loved it!!

There was an expanse to explore, warm, calm, clean water for swimming many times a day. The buffets diverse and delicious (we are now back home,dieting). The staff were kind and gentle, a pleasure to be around such lovely people. The view from my room was spectacular. Sailing was my favourite! I took out one of the catamarans at least once a day. Always a thrill.

Riu Playacar: When Can I Go Back!!!!!!

This is one of the best resorts in Mexico I have ever visited, and I have been to quite a few. From the front desk when we arrived, to the grounds staff, our servers in the restaurants and the entertainment and recreation crew....whom were beyond excellent.
