Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Nice place to stay

The hotel was very nice, and very large. The rooms were ok, the bathroom was awful. We requested a top floor, corner unit, and didn't get either. The food was very good, lots of choice and enjoyed the theme nights.

The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: Great views

Hotel views and staff are great .The buffet restaurant is small and very repetitive but the food was ok. the seafood restaurant was very good and service was great. we ate at the gourmet twice the food was very good and the service was good and very friendly. The Italian restaurant was very disappointing with a bad selection and terrible service.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Welcome to Paradise Island

After a 1hr coach ride from Samana airport, followed by a short 15 min. boat shuttle ride you then land on Paradise Island. Professional, warm greetings from staff, surrounded by impeccably maintained reception lobby, terraces, villas, pools, grounds respected natural flora. I had a wonderful week, only error I made was not to book for 2 weeks, or 10 days at least. Food: amazing, well prepared, beautifully presented, decadent! Service: professional all around.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Wonderful holiday

Nice rooms, food was great and the staff wonderful! Music at meals was a bit loud, but overall good value for your money! Easy access to town with taxi. I would recommend going to the Dunn river excursion.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Awesome!

We really enjoyed the resort, staff and cleanliness. The only disappointment was not being able to visit the other buffet's at the Ambar and Emerald. Other places we have been we have been able to mix our days up at different ones. Although the food was excellent just a change in scenery is always good!

Absolutely fabulous, from the service, food, accomodations, entertainment and the wonderful helpful staff. The hotel had everything to offer and more we had a wonderful time and I felt like a Kardashian:)

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing as expected

Grounds are amazing, rooms clean and comfortable, food is excellent although they need to add more fruit variety. Beach is white sand and beautiful. Friendly staff and attentive management. Most customers are repeat because of their loyalty.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: All you can dream about your vacation

Fantastic beach, excellent kept grounds, impressive services. Since you land at the airport everything is on schedule starting with the initial check in and full guidance. This was the first place for us where every night dance music was paying after 7:30pm and you can really have fun and dance without waitting for the 10:30 disco time. we love this place end want to come back ASAP.

Cayo Levantado Resort: A Little Piece of Paradise

Location - Location - Location is what this place is all about. This resort is situated on a stunning tropical island with breathtaking beaches where nature and white sand are mixed, including the famous Bacardi Beach. If you are looking for a place that is not sandwiched in between hundreds of hotels on the beach and were there are no beach peddlers hawking their trinkets - then this is the place for you. This beautiful island is hilly and from some villas there is quite the hike to the main lobby and entertainment. Even though there are trollys available - they don't come around on a schedule. so they are not always available. During our stay even the elevator up to the top of the hill was out of order for a re-build - so it made it even harder. All in all, the staff try hard to make you feel comfortable. (A special thanks to Francisco our butler - who was extraordinary in his service for us). Cleanliness of the hotel, pool areas,restaurants and even the beach were immaculate. The food is very good in the "a la carte" restaurants, even though I was disappointed in the Gala night buffet - the food was not great and I lined up for 20 minutes to get the lobster + steak. Most of the staff were friendly and seemed to want to go out of their way to help, but they didn't always deliver. It seemed at times that the staff lacked direction from management and the english was not very good. The drinks on the other hand were very good - loved the Caipirinha drink - my new favorite! The beach is protected from the wind and waves which make it fantastic for a swim in the sea. The water temperature was ideal. They really should work on putting out more than 1 catamaran for guests to use. It was also nice to have beach chairs readily available any time of the day. (no wrestling with the chair hogs who put their towels on the chairs at 6am) The lobby bar was lovely but it would be nice to have music each evening instead of twice in the week as it is the main gathering spot in the evening. Entertainment was a bit amateurish. Everything tends to shut down at about 10:30 pm - 11:00 pm. at the main hotel. Party continues at the public beach - but I don't think it was much to write home about, so you went to sleep around 11pm. Information on what was happening at the resort daily was lacking. I would like to see an activity board posted in the main lobby and other gathering spots as a daily reminder of activities. Room Tip: Villa 12 had a lovely view to the Samana side (north) but is is a bit of a hike to the lobby. Our room was huge and so was the bed, even though the lighting is poor in the room and on the balcony. Unfortunately, the Water is almost non existant at times in the shower. Whatever you do, try to get a flight into Samana airport, otherwise you are in for a long ride to the hotel boat which takes you across to the island) Wi-fi connection which was very hit and miss, so don't count in downloading anything. Having been to many resorts around the world, I would not call this a 5 star - but 4 would be more appropriate.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beautiful!

The resort was great. Much bigger then I expected. The rooms were decent and the staff were all so friendly. The food was amazing!!!! The buffet was unbelievable and had so many options. The beach to the leftcwas beautiful. Snorkeling was ok. Lots of water activities. Would definitely return!

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Perfect relaxation

The resort was well kept and the new Don Pablo section opened the day before we left and is gorgeous. We will consider going back . That being said our room was so quiet, it was fantastic. The staff throughout the resort are amazing and service was excellent .

food was decent but not amazing and no lobster . Beach was not good and for the price we paid i was not happy. rooms very nice but always short on towels. Don pablo restaurant very good and pool was nice.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Peace, privacy, perfection!

This is one our favourite resorts. WE just returned from our 4th visit to the Sian Ka'an. The staff is excellent, the food delicious and the rooms are perfect for us. What we appreciate it the peace. Our room was close to the sushi bar on the top floor. Our balcony was in the trees, and we could see the birds, geckoes, ..... and nothing but jungle, yet we were close to the pool, restaurants and lobby. Totally private, very quiet. It is hard to find a resort that caters to our needs and this one  [... read more]does that well. The mini bar was stocked each day and included whisky, rum, vodka, soft drinks, and chips. We worked out each day at the Tao Centre. All the weights and machines are well looked after and work well. While you work out in an air conditioned, glass room you are surrounded with the jungle. One day I say a fox with her cub. They have yoga and mediation here but I woke too late to join them. (The classes are at 9:00 in the morning.) The Tao Centre is a pleasant 15 minute walk from our room. The service and food in the buffet is so good we did not eat else where.

had a beautiful week, resort is good but need a few minor repairs, food yummy but service wasn't good. I would recommend it but don't expect good service... We where said that we need to know what we wanted to drink at the buffet cause she was only going once for the drinks!! :( rooms where clean

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Great resort but get ready to be gouged

I've been to this resort 4 times and this is by far the worst that I have ever seen it! So I book an annual golf trip with some friends ever November and Grand Bhia Coba has been our go to place for 4 out if the last 5 years. It's well kept with friendly staff and if you don't want to leave the resort there is lots to do as it is on a large sprawl of land. This much has not changed! We booked this resort for the unlimited all inclusive golf that it offers. When we arrived we were told that because it was our 4th visit that we were upgraded to a premium club at no charge. Great one may think! But when we got to our room it was the same as before but now only one bed! After spending about two hours at the registration desk they finally sorted it out and were able to relocate us to a room with two beds. We were supposed to get upgrades which we never received and a different colour band that gave us more perks! This never happened as they ran out of bands and on several occasions we were told 'well you really don't get anything more' however one of our group members was able to get his and did get more perks but we could live without those little extras. This hotel also offers free Wifi. Great but wait for it... It's one hour per day using their slowest network and the timer for that hour doesn't stop once you begin your session. You'll have to wait till the next day or purchase additional time which is not cheap at $8 USD/hour or $14/day or $70/week. We opted for the weekly cost and split it amongst the group only to learn that it's for one device when we tried to login. On to golf; we knew that we would just pay the cart fees and golf as we normally did however we did not anticipate the $115 USD per person cart fee! Up from $65 USD the prior year (the first year it was $35 USD and had risen by $5 annually). We spoke to the new manager of the golf course to see if he would be able to get us a better rate as we were staying at the resort and we would be playing four rounds! This guy was the most pompous arrogant person that we met there in 5 years and didn't care that the prior year we had booked a group of 28 golfers for a tournament. We told him that we've been golfing here for the past 5 years and he said that he's been managing there for a year and that's the cost because we have to pay the green fees. After explaining that we are with the resort and booked the all inclusive golf package he stated that they are not affiliated with the resort and we have to pay for the green fees too and that's why the price is so high. Even the ladies at the club house remembered us and told us that he will go out of his way to not help anyone! They were right and in speaking to the caddies they all said that it would be cheaper for us to travel to the nearest resort and pay $35 for the course. $100 if you needed clubs and cart rentals with you're greens fee. We didn't but paid the cart fees for all rounds. At the resort the next day one of the sales people told us that if we went on a tour about joining the premium club he would give us our cart fees for free! I asked how could that be possible and he stated that the golf course is owned by the resort and they can comp anything! Apparently he never met the manage of the golf course. At the end the resort is great but the management team there is clueless especially the ones who deal with their guests at reception. They are unwilling to do much to help you and the entire resort is now built to try to gouge you for every penny while you stay with them! The golf course remains one of the best I've played but the new manager is quite possibly the worst representative they could have! It's sad when the people who work for you tells the guests not to speak to him because he's not a nice person and the caddies try to get you better pricing at other courses. Thanks Grand Bahia Coba for the past 5 years but my friend and I will not be returning... It was fun while it lasted!

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Great resort

A beautiful clean resort. If you are looking for white sand beaches you wont find them here. What you will find is hard working staff who really do their best to make your stay enjoyable. The food was very good, and they change up the buffet theme every day.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Good Bang for your Buck Place!

The Good - Long nice Beach , Had Decent food , Nice Looking rooms with showers with good water pressure and temperatures , staff were nice , place was clean and a lot of stuff to keep the kids occupied The bad - skimpy on alcohol in the drinks , bed was not very comfortable and mosquitos , bar unable to make certain drinks at times. No Major problems Overall for the price I would recommend this place

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: First trip to Mexico

This was our first trip to Mexico and it surpassed our expectations! Service and staff were wonderful, rooms and resort were clean and beautiful. Food at buffet was decent, better at the restaurants. Trolly rides to get to beach and to Tulum were short and no big deal

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Amazing time

I had a wonderful experience at the Bahia Príncipe. Staff were so friendly and considerate, food was AMAZING, loved the room, only minor thing was that our bathtub plug didn't work to enjoy the jet tub but that wasn't anything to complain about. Amazing place to go to:) I can't say enough how amazing the food was :)))) five stars here :)

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Great time!

This is my third trip to Gran Bahia, first time to Ambar section and all was great! Pools, beach, grounds, service, food, drink are all Fabulous! I do think however, some of the facilties are outgrowing the rooms, they seem to always be adding more rooms but still only one bathroom at the beach bar.
