Grand Oasis Cancun: Great value cancun vacation

I recently booked a trip for two with my 19yr old son through trip central travelling via sunwing airlines. Fir the price ($2600) I don’t think I could find a better value fir a 7day all inclusive vacation Fir two. There were highs and lows however. The positives of this trip is 1) direct flight avoiding possible COVID19 exposure at multiple airports. 2) The airport pick up and drop off was very well organized. 3) multiple emails from trip central on things to know, do, booking confirmation he [... read more]lped with clarity and reducing risks associated with travel. 4) The grand oasis provides exceptional entertainment experience beyond what I expected. The fun factor is definitely undeniable. The hotel staff are generally polite and accommodating. The negatives are The food quality and service is So so, nothing I would go out of my way to eat. The food service quality is poor. I’m disgusted by the fact cups are picked up of the beach and pool deck to be reused. One of the plastic cups I drank out of had a black cigarette butt burn mark at the bottom of it which I only discovered after finishing most of my drink. The optics of seeing staff picking up cups to reuse is not good particularly while we are dealing with a infectious disease crisis globally. A service staff explained they don’t have enough cups and need to reuses cups laying around. I liked the salad bar but the “dos lunas” restaurant food quality was very poor. Late night food smelled off and not appetizing. Worst fettuccine alfedo I’ve ever had. The third day I was there dealt with severe stomach and back pain which was unsettling. Room was okay but small. Absolutely felt frustrated with workers drilling and hammering in adjacent rooms stating at 8am. Seemed like clock work. The other part that the resort doesn’t have A lot of control off is the noise level from spring breakers but guess that’s my fault fir time of year I chose. Also would have like daily replenishing of water and drinks rather than every 2-3 days. Overall, the spring break atmosphere made the resort a vibrant place to be and entertainment adds to that but food qusiity and service, as well as making the stay comfortable needs improvement.

Catalonia Royal Tulum: Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The grounds were immaculately kept we loved strolling through the grounds. Staff were friendly and helpful...they all work so hard for us and we apprecuated it. Food was fresh and well prepared and delicious.

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Fantastic Resort

My wife and I had a terrific stay at the Grand Palladium Kantaneh. Our villa was very nice, lots of a la carte restaurants. Two huge pools and two small adult only pools. This is a big resort but golf carts are readily available to pick you up and take you wherever you like. Nightly entertainment was very good. It you go to this resort, pay the $100 to go to the “Chic” Caberet Show.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Amazing resort!

We stayed at the Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas for a week... nothing more to say except AMAZING! This hotel is gorgeous, amenities are more than enough, food is awesome, drinks are awesome, staff is awesome, service is awesome.. what more can I say! The town of Cabo San Lucas is one to definitely check out. I am so happy with my stay and would recommend this to anyone in a heart beat! Grand Sens Cancun: Was no room for me

I booked my holiday 4 days 3 nights through trip central as it turned out when I went to check in I was told their was no room for me… as it turned out I was offered another hotel 15 minutes away ( not my choice) but the check in person was great at the Sans he upgraded my room and offered me a black bracelet good for my entire stay, as well as a free stay for me and a guest at the Sans to be used within the year. The hotel I stayed at The Grand Oasis Pyramid was awful room was not a 4 star mo [... read more]re like a 2, the black bracelet was pretty much useless as every time I attempted to book a dinner I was told they were full. Very unhappy with Air Transat as they were the ones that handled everything through tripcentral.ca. I am a very understanding person if I had another passenger with me we would have been upset more.

Krystal Grand Los Cabos: Great Hotel

All the staff was very friendly and helpful. When We first arrived our room wasn’t the greatest it was really far and lots of street noise. Right away they moved us to a better newer room. The restaurants were delicious the Italian restaurant made steak that melted in your mouth. Not a lot of evening entertainment Overall we had a great time and would recommend it.

Grand Palladium Select Costa Mujeres: Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres

the Grand Palladium is a beautiful clean and modern hotel, excellent pools, great service with extremely friendly staff The food is good but for me not 5 star, the buffets have no variety, each night and lunch is exactly the same, a lot of things do run out early and they don't seem to replenish The a la carte restaurants are excellent

Zel Cozumel: Great resort

Third time to this island, prefer this resort as the beach is besutifyl, no rocks, easy to get to with its own small airport. Beach, hotel, food, location was perfect, service was exceptionel, employees are awesome. Premium rooms are spacious, clean and great ocean view. You can see all the cruise ships cruise by daily

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Expensive Lemon

Our holiday started with the first sour note an additional $1,100.00 to have a room with some view, instead of a room with the view of the swamp and the big & ugly utility building, and afternoons in the full blast of the sun. Most of the staff, including the buffet, with very little or no English. Every step required a tip, and , even after tipping you still won't get the service or drink you asked for. Food , at the very best, average. Meals repeating almost day after day. Fried chicken o [... read more]r fish with fries was always the best bet. Pork or beef.. forget about it, the soles of my shoes are tender. Entertainment : NADA !!! Live elevator music at keyboard or violin. No shows.. When it rained or close to raining, events were cancelled. Only twice a smart DJ managed to provide some entertainment for all ages. Twice in 11 days !!! On top of it the "entertainment" with full blast of boomboxes were located in the close vicinity of the living quarters. Closed doors and ear plugs couldn't help getting to sleep. Only the beach and ocean earned the 5 star rating. It's the second lemon in a row, after last year experience at Princess in Dominican Republic.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Great Service!

We had a great week at this resort. The service on the Hideaway side was absolutely amazing from the bartenders to the towel/pool attendants. The meals were great at the restaurants in the Hideaway side but also in the general resort area. We're foodies so delighted in the specialty restaurants and stayed clear of the buffet. We will be going back to this resort again!

Grand Park Royal Cozumel: Not worth the money

The hotel needs TLC for sure. The staff trying to sell time sharexwere rude once you said no to going to their speil. The pool was freeeeeeezing! The one by the ocean wasnt bad and it was fun to watch the boats come in. Buffet food was not great, breakfast was horrible, lunch was edible and dinner wasnt too bad. Our room service was horrible, had to call for to and Kleenex and water, not to mention the fridge was supposed to be fully stalked. All the lady did was make the bed, then we'd have to call. Has a coffee maker and two cups but never got coffee and when we asked, she left one pouch of coffee and nothing else. Hope you like it black lol. Air conditioning didn't work well at all, asked about fixing it and were told won't happen before you leave lol. Very very small resort, no night life as far as bars and dancing etc. Not a lot going on or to do at the resort but drink and eat, and hey, some people are live with that. All in all would not go back, nor would I suggest this place to anyone of our friends. But I have the say the staff at the restaurants and pool bars work extremely hard and are friendly and we tipped them well for this. Oh yes, no real beach to speak of if you like a big sandy beach, is is very small and chairs are impossible to get unless you're up and down at 6am to throw a towel and book on it. I'd say half the chairs weren't even used, people put crap on them then leave for hours on end to town or all day and then come back and grab their towels at the end of the day. I think that's bs and people who do that's are selfish asses. Keep chairs just in case, and then dont use them. Other people could have, very selfish. Personally I think hotels should ban that practice since people can't see how rude it is, if you come and use it within an hour or so great. Oh and our air canada rep that was suppose to be at the hotel for questions etc....never saw them until our departure day for the taxi and even then he was late and we all didn't know what was going on. Would never use Air Canada vacations again nor trip central as they could and never did get back on my email questions. Also the "premier" room means crap other than you can see the ocean from your balcony. So that sums it up! Weather was good though! Oh and can walk to town in about 20 to 30 min, nice walk also!

Hotel Emporio Ixtapa: Small friendly hotel

The grounds were pretty and well maintained. The pool was clean and a good size. The open eating/restaurant, areas were good in that they were open to the fresh air. The bathrooms needed up dating. The brick work around the pool needed to be replaced though they were kept clean. The staff was delightful. The fact that the majority of them didn't speak much English didn't matter, it added the the Mexican atmosphere. Same thing with the other guests, mostly Mexican. Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Good mid-level resort, some issues with room

This was a beautiful hotel, with a large, spread out arrangement of small 2 storey buildings w/ 8 rooms a piece. Breakfast and dinner are both served at the building closest to the entrance to the property, so if you are in a beach side room, as we were, just expect an ~ 500 m walk (each way) to your meal. We had 3 year old twins with us, who suddenly lost the ability to walk when required, and insisted on being carried each time, in the hot sun. Not bringing a stroller was my fault, but it de [... read more]finitely affected my feelings about this place. The room was small, almost European in feel, but had everything we needed. That was, until the fridge broke, the ice bucket broke, the a/c stopped working (for whole resort) for a day, and the shower always toggled b/w cold and hot constantly, such that my children screamed in pain when i would try to wash the sand out of their nether regions. There is also a hammock directly outside of everyone’s room door, which ended up just being a nuisance b/c it was always in the way when we were coming and going. The food was pretty decent, and almost always available. Maybe some things would get swept away quickly, ahem mango, and you’d have a better chance of getting toilet paper during a corona virus freak out, but there were plenty of options. Plates, however, were often in short supply. The pools were not heated, and even though it was ~25-28 outside, everyone screamed upon entry. Cozumel is a very windy island, so you will be quite chilled if you try to sit half in and half out of the pool. The only kiddie pool options were very small and had two depth choices, 6 inches and 12 inches. I’m not kidding. Needless to say, almost no children wanted to play in these.... puddles? Babies less than 12 months seemed to like them. But we ended up renting a Jeep ($50/day) and driving to the windy side of the island where one reef breaks the waves and all the locals take their kids. Went there 4 days in a row, and LOVED it. There was a solar powered ice cream bike/cart who came in the afternoons and served the best lemon/lime ice cream i could imagine. The beach at the resort was lovely. Don’t expect to be able to walk in, as there is a big rocky out cropping right at the water line, but there is a dock with stairs at the end to bypass this. If you have kids like mine, this might be an issue. My toddlers wanted to wade in, not walk 150 feet down a “scary” dock and then into 5 ft deep water. But for most people, this would be a non-issue. There are two parrots named Pepe and Hugo who live in the lobby, loose, and they were the highlight of the trip for us.

Occidental Cozumel: Beautiful resort!!

The grounds were beautiful with lush gardens and trees!! Beach was clean but disappointed in the ocean rocks and constant waves!! No swim up pool but clean and cold lol Food was good but buffets very small and not a lot of variety!! Services was great especially Carlos and Rayana!!! Rooms were clean and gorgeous!! Overall had an amazing trip and highly recommended!!

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Exceptional Service

While the resort grounds and rooms are beautiful, what really stood out to me was the service. Even at the buffet, where you're less likely to encounter the same service you would at an a la carte, the staff was very attentive and lovely.

Grand Riviera Princess: Great for families

The resort was extremely well maintained and the kids loved having bunk beds. They especially loved how the room cleaning staff arranged their toys in funny vignettes every day. There was a great kids area, but our kids even loved hanging out at the main pool where the water was a little deeper. The resort was larger but everything was within a good walking distance. The pools were never over crowded although the beach can be quite busy.

The Pyramid Cancun: Amazing views

Great resort the food was excellent and the view was spectacular. Resort staff were all great to deal with and everything we did was very well organized. Would highly recommend booking at the pyramid resort.

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: A positive holiday!

Family of 4. With a 2.5 Y/O & 9 month babe. Resort is great for families. 2nd time @ a Royalton Resort and the service/facilities is what sold us. Food options exceeded expectations. Went to Hunter & Taj Restaurant twice because we were so impressed by the flavours/service/presentation of food. Buffet also has many options. They always consider food allergies which is comforting for my family. Easy to navigate around with little ones & stroller. Many pools to choose from. Beach front is not the  [... read more]clearest, we knew that but it wasn’t priority for us. Gym facility was impressive. Room service was a good option for us and the kids but it does take up to 45 mins. However, you can schedule a time for delivery all on your tv. Well designed resort. Evening solo musicians were a beautiful start to the amazing evening shows that followed. luxurious grounds. Such a positive trip!

Barcelo Ixtapa: Outstanding Resort

The staff, food and accommodations were outstanding. We really enjoyed our stay. The food and the views were amazing. Other guests were very nice and the resort provides many different activities for guests. I recommend this resort as it is in a great area compared to others. Thank you Tripcentral for the great customer service!

Allegro Cozumel: Our stay at Allegro Cozumel

Overall we had a great time, wish the kids / families that were there had utilized the kids pool more than they did. There are 3 pools, a kids pool, a more family oriented pool, and a bigger pool with swim-up bar/entertainment - we took this to be the adult pool, still lots of kids around/loud families Also wish there was a sign / rule about “reserving chairs” at the pool. Frustrating when people would reserve chairs, one day someone had 3 chairs reserved we were at the pool for 6 hours a [... read more]nd they didn’t show once!! There needs to be a rule in place that it is not allowed - this is what we were told upon arrival. Otherwise, they need more chairs by all pools and on the beach. Food was good, the Japanese A La Carte is a must - hibachi grill! The Mexican was also thebomb.com. Buffet had different “themes” every night/morning. Breakfast was mediocre - bacon was almost always empty, but was still decent! Omelette bar was our go-to every morning. Pools were clean, the waitors/staff by the pool always made sure our drinks were full, pool was spotless and that we were taken care of! Overall great stay! Would recommend to families with young kids, maybe not young couples on honey moons or older couples looking to relax - lots of kids running around, parents occasionally yelling at them, splashing, jumping, etc.
