Melia Jardines del Rey: Good Deal

The price was right. We knew the resort wasn't complete but were willing to go and check it out. The staff was great. The drinks were hit or miss. Beach was beautiful with great snorkeling. Buffet was crowded but food was good.

My name is Hans and I visited the resort with my spouse Dana. My overall impression was that I was satisfied. There are three things that I am looking for in my vacation; sun, beach and comfort. I did not get much sun but what can you do? The beach in Cayo Guillermo is not what I was looking for because I like to swim but it was not possible unless you walked 300 meters in the ocean. Having said that, the Cuban personnel was amazing, friendly, very nice and that everywhere. That is why I always go to Cuba. I was very disappointed with the exchange between Canadian dollars and Cuban convertible pesos, 100$ equaled 71$ pesos, absolutely ridiculous. My stay was very nice after we changed from the cabana to the bungalow, which was absolutely gorgeous (the cabana wasn't). I enjoyed the food very much, I am a fish and fruit lover so it was excellent as was the entertainment. I wish I had better weather, it was three and a half days sunshine and the rest was a washout. If you have good weather it's a very relaxing resort.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Very nice resort

The hotel is new so very nice room,bathroom and grounds very well kept .Enough hot water for showers but lukewarm in the sink . The staff is also pleasant without being too familiar. The food offered in the buffet is good and there is a good selection but often not warm. The supper at the Mediteraen restaurant was hot and terrific as well as the service. Drinks at the bars (all) were often not the best we have tasted in Cuba.The pool is a good size and clean. We have been in Cuba 10 times and for the first time the assistant manager and another very efficient lady also from Spain met us at the airport and at the bus to see us off at the end of our stay. Very appreciated.

Hotel Vigia: Great value good vacation

This was a safe, relaxed place to stay. No, there is nothing flashy but it's clean, in fairly good condition and great staff. Would go back. They are doing construction (was not a huge inconvenience)and nothing is mentioned in the carriers accommodation descriptions. Customers should be informed of this prior to booking.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: was good!!

this resort was good, the grounds were well kept and the ground keepers were great with the kids, house keeping was not bad not always the cleanest but it was ok, the food was not what I expected but we always managed to find something to eat even though the choices were limited!! the personel all in all were amazing jose from the Cuban restaurant was one of our best and yohmina (joey) in charge of the kids club was a real sweetheart not to forget Robin at the pool bar another great guy!! well w [... read more]orth the price!!

Tryp Cayo Coco: you wont find a better beach anywhere.

the beach was amazing .you wont find a better beach anywhere . the bars had excellent service and great drinks . Cubans are the best . very grateful for any tips given . hotel and restaurant service was the best . the only issue with this place was the rooms . they need a complete makeover. hot water was scarce . hot water 3 days out of seven .the food was not very good . breakfast was very good . coffee was terrible . pools where not heated ,very cold water .if i went back it would be for the b [... read more]each for the relaxation . very quite place . i will wait to go back when they do a makeover of rooms and food..Cuba is still my favorite place to visit .

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Excellent resort!!!!

We stayed at this resort for 7 days, it was fabulous! The food was delicious, the service was 5 star quality, and the rooms are very spacious. The staff here are super friendly!!!! this resort and beach is extremely clean. **bring water shoes-the first couple of feet walking into the ocean is coral**

Melia Cayo Coco: Relaxing and excellent service

It was just what I was looking for. A smaller resort so no line-ups, very relaxing, warm and welcoming atmosphere, great food selection and very good quality. Numerous activities at the beach or pool if you so choose. Entertainment every evening. Room was great, no problems, could see the beach from my balcony, close to all amenities. Weather was warm yet very windy. What I didn't particularly like was the beach, lots of algae floating in the water and onto the beach. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Nice resort! Clean , nice people!!

I want to say that we met some very nice people that work there! Joy with the childrens was bery good, and El Chino at the snack bar by the pool was amazing !!! Even tho the weather got breezy. It was a very nice week and the beach is not wide but very nice! Snacks right at the beach and bar very good!

Tryp Cayo Coco: Had a great time

Just got back from Tryp Cayo coco We stayed for two weeks We had a great vacation the food in the specialty restaurants very very good The beach was really beautiful The only thing I think would help this resort is to update the rooms The staff are friendly Would definitely recommend this for the price

I was at the resort January 28 - Feb 5th, 2015. The stay had its pros and cons. We stayed in building #10. It was the furthest away from all the excitement which was a downfall unless you like to walk alot. The first two days, we only received 2 medium shower towels but on the third day and the rest of our stay we received large ones? There were many rocks on the beach which made it hard to walk into the water at some points. What we did enjoy was the food, entertainment, pool, staff and disco every night. There are always lots of activities to take part in. One last comment is that the resort was very busy during our stay. In order to get a chair at the pool, you would have to get up very early as they filled up quickly.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Amazing Resort with excellent staff!

We were very impressed with everything at this resort. The staff were great, the food was excellent, rooms were very nice and the beach was beautiful for swimming and for long walks. The ride from the airport is around 20 minutes so that was very good. This is a place where we would definitely love to go back to. We were there for 2 weeks and neither of us was ready to leave!!

Hotel Mojito: Ok resort

The staff were very friendly, beach was amazing however the rooms are very outdated, they were clean but lack working showers very old not working well. Lack of soap and toilet paper at lobby bar bathrooms and snack bar bathrooms, food was ok same almost very day but service was great. Needs renovations to bring up to bettet standards. Overall still had a great time.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Wonderful Resort

The resort was well maintained, clean and the people were wonderful. The beach was amazing. The food....well it is Cuba...but the buffet hot serve could have been at the very least warm. I would recommend the hotel, with advice to eat what is made in front of you or the a la carte only.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Disappointed

Unfortunately we did not enjoy our experience in Cuba. Although the staff at the hotel was excellent, the food was not very palatable. We are not fussy eaters and have been to other Caribbean countries and realize they do not cook the same way we do, BUT THIS WAS BAD. And the weather was cold, couldn't go swimming in pool or ocean.

Hotel Camino del Mar: Melia Cayo Guillermo Cuba Very Nice Resort

The grounds of the resort are lovely. The beach is outstanding and the people working at the hotel are wonderful...friendly,hard working, helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Transportation from the airport, and check in went quite smoothly. The food is good and there is a fairly good variety. The evening entertainment was very good. We were very impressed with Daniel, an outstanding guitarist, who put us in mind of Jesse Cook. Draw backs were the rooms were somewhat tired and need a little [... read more] sprucing up and they could use some more deck chairs around the pool and down on the beach. This is a quiet resort that provides a truly relaxing holiday. We enjoyed our time and would consider making a return visit.

We really enjoyed staying at this resort. We felt very safe and found the staff to be extremely kind and helpful. It is an excellent place for the value. A great family oriented resort. The hotel is making further improvement in the rooms which is great. The resort was recommended by our friends who have been going there for several years. Hotel Camino del Mar: Relaxation in Cayo Coco

Great place to go and relax. Clean hotel and well manicured grounds. Staff are beyond freindly and helpful to make your vacation a pleasure. The beach is one of the most beautifuil beaches I have travelled to.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Relaxation at its finest

My wife and I visited this resort from Feb 01 to Feb 08 2015. We left the kids at home with Grandma so we could have some quiet time away from our family and home based restaurant we run in Ontario's cottage country. This resort is exactly what we needed, smaller, great service and all the amenities you would need. The food was average for Cuba, however there was always something to eat. It was a very shallow part of the ocean so if you are big swimmer this is not the place for you. If you like long walks on the beach and walking out onto sandbars in crystal clear water than try this resort. We met a lot of lovely people and the staff was exceptional.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Amazing resort

I just returned from the Pestana Cayo Coco, I traveled with 5 girls the first week of February. We had an amazing time; the staff was excellent and friendly. The resort was beautiful and well maintained and the food was amazing. I would recommend the Pestana Burger, seemed to be a favorite with everyone. There is no Disco however they make up for it every night by bringing in a DJ and big screen TV to play video’s into the lobby and get the party going there. I would surely return
