Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: NOT WHAT WE EXPECTED

Misleading description as one doesn’t have access to everything that is listed for Cofresi. Unless you want to become a VIP member that is. To do so, that requires the purchase of a time share. Most workers are lazy. The resort is messy and dirty. Empty cups, half full cups with cigarette butts, unwiped tables in the common areas. All this in the morning from the night before. It seemed they scrubbed the stairs with a bucket of soapy water at a time when people would be using them to go for  [... read more]breakfast. There we always puddles from either rain or a spray hose. Palm leaves that have fallen are not picked up. The grounds are not nice. Workers just walk past the above mentioned things. We’ve never seen this before at other resorts. The smell of sewer is prevalent as a PVC sewer pipe runs in a large trench right through the resort. Not sure if there is a leak in it or what but it was gross.It is not somewhere that we’ll be back.This certainly is not a 4 star, at best, 3 maybe and that is being generous.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Resort is great,

Just had a week stay at this most amazing place which I highly recommends for a great vacation. Great personal, Has an amazing buffet, highly efficient transportation throughout the resort, plenty of swimming pools, the beach was great. However, there were a few drawbacks. The bath room should be upgraded and modernize, such as humidity fan and bathtub assisted rail installed.

Food and drinks were great Lots of stairs to go everywhere Mini fridge does not get restocked even if asked for more beer or pop. Get told they will not do it Beds where hard as rock to sleep on Only way get internet is if you buy it and its $60 for the week per device or can buy a sim card from the shop in hotel for the week for $40 and can hotspot with friends and family No entertainment staff by any pools Most bars and all pool bars closed by 5 and never found the beach bars It was [... read more] a 50/5 if they would make you drink that day at the bar as they would say didn't have stuff to make them and wouldn't get 8t in Only knew what the show was at night and the time hit never knew where the show was being held at Unless you where VIP you really where anything to them as they wanted everyone to upgrade to VIP AirTransat rep didn't want to handle any complaints They didn't offer the 20% off at the spa

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Great resort!

Room service needs improvement as in response time. 2 orders were not even delivered to our room. A la carte restaurants need lots of advace booking as there is only one open restaurant per evening. Very difficult to find a spot at the pool or beach unless reserved with a towel by 7 am. Shower in room also only had a half wall which allows for water all over the bathroom floor which also has no exhaust fans in the suite bathrooms.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Now Onyx Jan 2020

Our stay was good. Morning tea in our building was never on time. Only one type of Cookies with your tea. I lost my $20 from my little purse which I left in the room. I didn't want to report it as this employee could be fired. On the whole we enjoyed our food. And the trip was enjoyable Very friendly staff.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Won't go back

This was my 5the visit to Puerto Plata and i will not be returning after this visit. Food was the same everyday, only 3 a la cartes which were so booked before we got there we didn't even get to visit them all. Rooms were sub par, clean but old and outdated. Walls paper thin and could hear the neighbors using their bathroom.

Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Really Beautiful beach and resort!

Had an amazing time. Rooms very nice. Food selection excellent. People at Resort friendly. People we talked to come back to this resort. One couple there 15th time. Many are golfers. Which they said was terrific. We are not but went over for lunch once. Exceptional service and good food. I would highly recommend this resort and look forward to returning!😊 Also, 12 minutes from airport which was wonderful.

Blue Bay Villas Doradas: Get what you pay for.

If you are looking for a budget friendly resort, are not picky or demanding and just want to laze around then this resort will be fine. After booking I was told that this is a party resort. It is anything but. Pool activities are posted but don't always happen, and when they do, they are disorganized. I was only at the resort for 3 days as I had to fly back for a family emergency, but I have never been so bored or hungry at an all inclusive resort. No problem finding loungers by the pool. Resort was fairly quiet after 11pm. Cons: Resort is very dated. Many broken or missing tiles in and around the pools. Beach sand does have some sand flies. Food choice is very, very nominal. No mimosas. Recommendation: Go to Punta Cana. The money you save isn't worth it in the end.

TRS Turquesa: Beautiful Resort!

Everything about this adult-only destination was perfect. My wife and I had an amazing stay. Food was great. Service was great. The beach is breathtaking. We highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to relax and unwind.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Amazing resort

This resort was lovely, the grounds were so well kept, the room we had 5155 was great, close to the pool area with a garden view as well as ocean view. The food at all the restaurants and buffets was delicious, something always for everyone. The beach is beautiful and always lots of choices for chairs and palapas. We loved that the Iberostar company is working hard with their wave of change to help with the effects of climate change. Excellence El Carmen: Excellence El Carmen

Excellence El Carmen lived up to its name, we had a wonderful time at the resort. The grounds were immaculate, staff was extremely friendly, food was delicious, 5 star resort hands down. Highly recommend the Excellence Club upgrade if you want to be pampered :)

This place is a dump,I am very disappointed with tripcentral whom we booked through. She said she has been to this resort,she asked where have we stayed before I named the resorts we have stayed the last 16 years. And she said ok you will like this place. She said it’s a very quite resort. It’s the noisy resort we have been to the last 16 years. For excample the room we were first in ,the floor was really dirty,lipstick on the cup,air conditioner not working,big gap under the door any thing could crawl in,walls dirty and so on,2nd room dirty,safe not working,air not working,shower head laying on the floor in the bathroom in pieces,When they clean the rooms they don’t clean the floors,you have to find them to get clean towels,glasses and so on. All the furniture in the rooms is made out of plywood and painted white,nothing is ever fixed,they either leave it broken or patch it up,this place is a mess,don’t book here,cancel if you can,and be careful want the travel agent tells you about this place. The day we left the pool water look like milk,the buffet is very small,with no change in the food,if I could sent you some pictures of this place you could see what this place is like. Out of all the people we talked to there just two people said they liked this place,and they said they have always booked the cheapest resorts possible. Out of 16 years of travelling to resorts this is the first time I have did a review on one,there is always going to be some good and bad at each resort,this one is all bad,I could could say many more things about the dump.

NICE AND CLEAN HOTEL, SMALL, COZY. THE DOWNSIZE FOR IS THAT THERE IS ONLY 2 BARS, LOBBY IS QUITE SMALL AND NO ENTERTAINMENT AT ALL, PEOPLE AT THE FRONT DESK SOME PEOPLE ARE NICE BUT SOME PEOPLE HAVE A BIG ATTITUDE. FOOD IS ALRIGHT, NOT TOO MUCH VARIETY, SAME FOOD ALL THE TIME. Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Absolutely Amazing!

Our room was very spacious, clean and the fridge was always stocked. The beds were very comfortable and the curtains were perfect for keeping the light out if you wanted to rest or sleep in. The food was amazing, favorite restaurant was Chez Gourmet. The service always came with a smile. Two bars and lots of great sitting areas. You have the ability to walk to the family resort and casino area or you can relax and take a train. I took train ride several times just to see everything. I came for my birthday and they left me a beautiful note, cake and bottle of rum on my birthday in my room. Loved that extra touch! Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Good resort, not great

The hotel was nicely laid out, very clean and modern. The food was just ok, as were the drinks. The pools and beach were great, but the resort felt overcrowded at times. The sales people milling around the rooms and the resort were a bit annoying. The staff for the most part were nice, aside from a few. A very family oriented resort. Check in and check out were a little slow, just depends on when u arrive/ depart.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Beautiful resort

When we arrived to our room, our sheets were not changed as there were stains on it, which was a little disappointing. But overall, the resort is beautiful and the staff were very friendly. The water slides were great but 2 of them were closed the days we went. Also, If you want to do any excursions, this hotel is normally the last stop out of all the hotels as it is at the end so it is a length travel.

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana: A lot to be desired...

Grounds - the grounds are new and immature however they are nice. They have a few design flaws that sadly workers dig out daily - sands blow into pathways daily and they have to shovel them out by wheelbarrows daily. The pools are not heated, warmer in the ziva side but refreshing on a long hot day. The hot tub on the zilara side is 104 easy, the rest are cooler. Chair reserving seems to be an issue at times although it's not very busy. Food - the foods in the buffet are cold most of the times. Anything you have cooked for you seems slightly underdone. It appears as though their grills are not hot enough. It takes time to even fry off eggs. Best bets are to hit the club places for hot breakfast and lunches. Supper at a la cartes were delicious at all times. Thankfully they would accommodate additional plates if you're hungry. Best by far was Tempest followed by the Italian. Rooms - the rooms are new and for the most part nice. The housekeeping can be slow at times and not 100%. Nothing too terrible but not the standards I would expect in club services. Minibar could be filled hit or miss, and turn down never happened. The air conditioning kept resetting to above 72 degrees which was too hot at night. Ceiling fan was one notch short of hurricane eons which I enjoyed actually. Pretty quiet for the most part. General - there's little to do here so if you're searching for relaxation you've found it. There's a water park that as adults had a blast in. If you're not following the entertainment staff you might be bored. It's a nice hotel, it's under a 5 star for service standards maybe in time they'll work their glitches out.

Secrets Cap Cana: Amazing Luxury Resort

This property is incredible and the service and attention to detail makes this resort stand out. The staff were so friendly, courteous and helpful. Our concierge Osvaldo was exceptional, greeting us each day and keeping us updated of daily activities. The food and drinks were excellent from breakfast/lunch buffet to the amazing restaurants to choice from. We loved the no reservations required. CoCo Cafe was a great spot with amazing coffee, dessert and snacks. The rooms were very clean with huge [... read more] showers lots of hot water and a personal touch with turndown service and comfy robes and slippers. The nightly entertainment was great and the staff really work hard. The pools are beautiful and clean, the beach is amazing with white powdery sand and plenty of beach chairs. The water is clear and calm. This resort exceeded our expectations and we would recommend Secrets Cap Cana to anyone looking for a luxury getaway.

Playabachata Hotel: Awesome resort

Playa Bachata resort is a great resort because of the cleanliness of rooms and grounds. Food is delicious. Variety of different food daily. Lot’s of activity daily. Pools and beach are great. Staff very friendly and helpful

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Great resort, small and close to pool, beach and restaurants

This is my 3rd. Visit and it gets better each time. Great food, really clean and amazing staff.. The upgrade to superior premium is well worth the extra. Private beach with waiter service, Vintage club all day with great assorted coffees and snacks, and speciality cocktails. Also all a la carte dinners booked right there. Also free wi fi. Fresh white beach towels brought to room daily with candie kisses. We were cared with lots of love.
