The Eurostars Grand Cayacoa: BEAUTIFUL VIEWS

GROUNDS WERE BEAUTIFUL. VERY LUSH. ROOMS LARGE AND KEPT CLEAN. WELL EQUIPED ROOMS AND FRIDGE ALWAYS STOCKED. FOOD WAS OK. STAFF SPOKE LITTLE ENGLISH BUT STILL VERY FRIENDLY. LOTS OF STAIRS BUT SHUTTLE ALWAYS AVAILABLE.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Excellent hotel and resort

Excellent hotel and resort (Sian Ka’an and the Luxury Bahia Principe complex), extremely clean and well maintained, very professional and friendly staff (from Rodrigo at the front desk, to Manuel, Yasusri and Antonio in the buffet to Teresita, Silvia and Maria Jose in the lobby bar, just to name a few). We had some issues with the shower in our room, once we reported, was fixed within 15 minutes. The eco concept that Bahia Principe uses works very well, you are in the jungle, surrounded by wildlife and you actually swim with fishes at their private beach. We have a couple of comments and suggestions around the beach and beach amenities: firstly, about the individuals that left towels or personal objects just to reserve spots and showing up at 11:00 or later – some of them even not having the rights to be on the private beach; secondly, there is no place for one to change their bathing suits, if there is a need besides the beach washrooms, which are really narrow. And talking about the beach washroom that was part of the Akumal hotel, one of the doors locking latch was broken, and it was not fixed during our week stay, even if my wife reported this twice to the Akumal front desk. Over all, we enjoyed our stay very much, we will certainly be back.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Awesome Family Vacation

This was our 4th time at a Geand Bahia Príncipe and definitely not our last! The hotel was beautiful and very clean. Our room was very clean and we LOVED Cecelio!!! He was so thorough with making sure our room was in excellent condition. He was so sweet and very friendly! Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Wonderful trip

Fantastic hotel, nice beach, good food, a real 5 stars ! We were 6 adults, everyone enjoy his vacation. We book for the trip at Tulum, short drive from the hotel and staff very friendly. We also dive in the Cenotes. A "must see" !

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Good resort, very poor communication

I did like almost everything, but the communication between the people of the different departments is non existent. We complain that we don't have facial towels to the lady who prepares the room and nothing happens, I went to reception I ask for them and they told me that were allowed to have them and we got them, the next day they clean the room and we did not have the towels. I went back to reception ask for the supervisor he told me that he was going to fix it because we were allowed to have [... read more] them when we went back to our room later around they were there, the next day we did not have them. It was a daily battle which cost the tip to the lady who took care of the room, also in a way is one of those small things that sours a bit the stay there.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: very nice resort

Food was good. Grounds well looked after. Pool needs a little tlc. Staff as usual excellent. Would go again as we frequent Bahia resorts, Mosquitoes were not too bad. Lots of a la cartes to choose from. Le Gourmet with Carlos the best.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: mixed feelings

We're seasoned travelers (35-45 yrs old) that go down south every year and usually try to book no less than 4 12* resorts. Although the resort is very nice, clean and well kept, I feel the need to address a few issues. First off CONSTRUCTION was a major issue for us. It's everywhere around the luxury section! Our room was on the 4th floor and Jackhammer noises, drills, hammers were heard 16 out of 24hrs every day! This is not my idea of a relaxing vacation. I can be patient but this was unbelie [... read more]vable! Forget about taking naps during the day, sleeping in, or spending a night without being woken up by noise. Sound from the hallways are also very disturbing, being ceramic instead of carpet. I still can't understand why they don't close off this section until renovations are complete. Such a shame for a beautiful resort! Can't really say which rooms are more isolated from construction as its everywhere, but we were a group of 8 and those on the 7th floor seemed to be less bothered and those on the 4th and 5th more. We complained about the non-stop noise to the Don Pablo staff but they were not of any help. Even telling us they were not aware of the construction in that part of hotel.. so much for service! We met the newly hired Butler manager at the pool and he asked us about our stay and seemed genuinely caring. We asked to be compensated with SPA credits to which he later agreed and gave us 50% off on top of our 20% air canada vacations credit. Although this seemed like a good deal, we had to sign lots of papers, copies of our passports, etc. only to be told by a different employee before checking out that the full charge was still on our account and they had no proof of us having received authorization for 50% off!! We spent our last hours on the resort trying to sort this off with lots of different employees. So disappointing for a 5 star resort! The rest of the resort was very good! The place is super clean! The floor around the pool was being washed with a steamer every night, bathrooms were always spotless and rooms were also clean. Although we had a hard time receiving hand towels or one to put on the floor in front of the shower, service was generally good. There are cats everywhere though. I'm a cat lover, but they all seemed malnourished. It's a shame that they don't address this issue. FOOD: Great food, premium drinks, etc. We tried all 4 restaurants and we must say our favorites were the Don Pablo and the Mikado (Japanese grill). The other two (Picasso and the Grill), lacked good customer service and ambiance. The mix of buffet and A la carte was odd and my opinion is they should stick with "a la carte" and not mix in buffet entrees. Buffet was nice and lots of selection! Breakfast was good at the Palmyra (adults only). Only disappointment was that there was no beach cantine. You had to get dressed to get any food and had to go at fixed times when the buffet or grill was open and couldn't bring food out. ENTERTAINMENT: Great reggae music and live bands at lobby and pool bars but other than this, it can get pretty boring for those wanting to party late. We were fine with this since we knew we'd get woken up pretty early by construction :( BEACH: I'm a beach kinda girl. Haven't spent much time at pools at previous resorts but this time was different. Beach, although nice, is small, very far from luxury section and closed off on both sides, meaning you can't walk for long distances. It seems as though the beach is man made. Still very nice though. We avoided the crowded first section where luxury section is and went to the far end where it was quieter and nicer. We did do some snorkeling and it was nice near the wedding gazebo. Don't venture out too far as waves can be tricky and pull you off shore. POOL: Very nice and large. Water is warm. Loved the morning aquarobics! Nice prizes to be won :) All in all the Bahia Principe is a nice and fairly large resort. As for paying extra for luxury, I would advise anyone to think twice as there was no part of our vacation that felt like luxury. Even the basket of toiletries in the bathroom was used previously, some boxes empty, creams half empty, etc. The personal touches that usually make up a 5 star resort were non existent. This being said, this resort has potential and will probably be better when construction is complete, but for now, I would advise to AVOID the luxury part, unless being bothered by loud and constant construction noise is your idea of relaxation! There were even kids running around in the adults only section and babied crying on our last few nights. No explanation as to why this was aloud in an ADULT ONLY section. I have kids and can be very tolerant but being woken up regularly by running kids, loud teenagers screaming in hallways and crying babies, was rather dissapointing, having paid extra to avoid this :( Hope this helps! Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing resort!!!

This resort is great!!! It's very pretty!!! The rooms are nice, and everything is taken care of for you, and made convenient. And the restaurants are amazing!!! Very good food!! And a very nice pool as well. We really enjoyed our stay here!!!

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Rather stay at Tulum!

Great Staff, Service was good! Too far from the beach and get ready to walk! Food was good... And definitely go to the Don Pablo al a carte it was amazing. The ride back and forth from the airport seemed very long, and they said our room was ready and it wasn't (shower not cleaned,fridge not stocked etc etc).We went to relax and it was nice to get away from reality for a week!! Enjoy !!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing. Amazing. Amazing.

I had an amazing time. The staff at hotel were super friendly and welcoming. They kept the resort very clean. The pool and beach were also nice. I was also impressed by the food. I'll definitely be back.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Still a Great Resort, but some things to watch for

We have been to this resort mutliple times ( over 10 ) in the last 5 years and it is still one of our favorites. Some issues are starting to come into play though, One major issue is that they have added Ambar II which is a second portion of this resort with newer rooms and it is very nice , unfortunatley they are not building any more beach front for these new rooms and as a result hard to find chairs on the beach if you plan on getting there after 9:00 am, also harder to plan al la carte dinne [... read more]rs, and even if you do some we had to wait over an hour for our entree's ( real first world problems , sitting in the beautiful south at a nice resort and these are my complaints), but in reality if you are paying to stay then you have expectations, this might have been the last time for this resort to see if there is something that we might try next time, too bad , great staff ( Nelson on the beach with the driniks), Victor at the beach cafe and El Olivio always make the stay amazing.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: On the beautiful Bavaro Beach!

A beautiful hotel on the beach with rooms close to everything - pools and restaurants. You don't need a trolley to get around Esmeralda! The buffet staff did their best even though it was usually full. The small alcove on the right was a good place to sit away from the crowd. The housekeeping staff did not always refill our mini fridge with the required items. We were on the 2nd floor and heard a lot of noise from up above - chairs being moved, stomping around the room, etc. The noise at night  [... read more]woke us up. Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Relaxing Beautiful clean resort!!

The grounds are immaculate always being maintained and improved. The beach is beautiful white sand, sea weed is cleaned from swimming areas daily, beach chairs always available. Loved the pools especially the infinity pool fantastic!! Service was good but you needed to tip as always to ensure you received good service. Food was consistently good! Went with my husband for anniversary, enjoyed trip thoroughly!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Excellent Resort

Everything was awesome. There was only one thing that was wrong and that was a leak at the shower head. the restaurants where very good especially the Japanese one. They cook the food right in front of you, the food was amazing and delicious. The beach was great, we did some snorkeling and saw all kinds of colorful fish and sea urchins. All in all, we had an amazing time except when my wife broke her foot at Dunn's River Falls. I would go back again.

Goods: Newly renovated Lots of lush vegetation Buffet food was great. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Good resort but not great

Hotel is huge and attached to 4 others ! We stayed at the Punta Cana and it was near the beach and the pool bar but too far from main lobby despite the golf carts traveling regularly! Food pretty good, rooms were large and clean, beds ok, service good, but lack of communication often and better brands of liquor without paying extra! Every where you looked was gorgeous very well taken careof. The room was spotless. They made our 25th anniversary very special by flowers and banners and chocolate cake and champagne! ! Very easy booking with trip central would recommend to anyone looking for great value and ideal weather

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Fabulous Resort!

This was our first trip to a resort and we are hooked! The place was beautiful! The food was amazing especially the a la carte restaurants! We were thrilled to be able to visit the other Bahia Principe Resorts near ours. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Although the weather was rainy for part of our stay, we still had the best time!

Bahia Principe Grand San Juan: Grand Bahia Principe San Juan

The hotel itself was very nice and the staff was amazing. The buffet food was even better than the A la carte restaurants. The location of the resort is too far from towns and cities. The beach is not that great and the wave breakers ruin the beautiful view even though I know that without them, there would be no beach at all. The rooms were clean and modern.

service worst I have ever experienced .Grounds were beautiful.The advertised features of this hotel were all false.I was told could go ala carte all three nites ,once there was told one night only however a la carte restaurants were booked solid all three nights.I was told free pour alcohol in the room I had two beers in the fridge.
