Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Coba 2018

this has been our 5th trip to the Gran Bahia Principe Coba.....the resort is one of our favorites, the staff, the entertainment staff, the grounds, the food....top notch....rooms are large and very accomodating for any size family....a la cartes are worth every booking...make sure you try them all....the main buffet has enough to chose from you do not know where to begin, for breakfast lunch or dinner...good luck....you will not leave hungry at all....the pools are fantastic, atmosphere for ever [... read more]y traveller young or old, and a great area for the kids......the beach is lovely, you can walk for miles, the swimming is great when cleared of seaweed.........and the weather is always sunny....enjoy you will not regret it!!! Ocean Riviera Paradise: Loved this resort!

This resort is beautiful. The grounds are very well manicured the rooms are nice and kept very clean. The food and drinks were delicious. There is lots of variety and selections to choose from. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. This has definitely been one of the nicest resorts I’ve stayed at. I would love to go back there again.

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Excellent resort!

Everything at the Royal Playa Del Carmen was top notch. Super clean, excellent food, friendly professional staff. Beach was beautiful. Pools lovely. Close 2 minute walk to 5th avenue for fun shopping. Highly recommend the Royal PDC!!

El Dorado Seaside Suites: Amazing food and great service.

Hotel has a first class culture trained into their staff. Grounds are beautiful and well kept . Rooms and resort very clean. I will visit Karisma resorts again in the future. Outstanding staff! Food was very delicious, tender , presented well. Ate at most restaurants on the resort. Bartenders were great introduced to new shooters and drinks. Participation team were awesome and entertaining. Night shows were fantastic and kept me highly entertained.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Another stay at the Grand Bahia Principe Coba

On my last visit to the Grand Bahia Principe Coba three years ago this resort was stellar, thus the reason I had decided to return for second visit. We had no issues with Trip Central or Air Transit...all employees were very pleasant and helpful. The flight was fine both ways. The bad: My second experience this time was just okay, we noted a lack of care this time...just little things, however, those little things made you feel welcomed last time like towel art, turn down service and little  [... read more]notes left by the cleaner to say thank you for the gratuity and to enjoy our night. When we booked I advised that my Mother was 75 and had mobility issues...we needed a lower floor as there are no elevators in the buildings. I even mentioned it again in an email sent a week prior when reserving our restaurant choices. Without any consideration for an older person having to walk up and down three flights of stairs several times a day, we were assigned a third floor room. I insisted on a lower floor and was told we would need to wait until 4 pm to get into our room which when we did arrive we did not have any of our upgrades. I purchased the golden package same as last time, however, I had to ask for the upgrades like blue towels in room, robes and slippers. I even had to ask for our free bottle of tequila and there wasn't any turn down service provided even after I noted it as being part of the package. The floor in our room was never cleaned during the time we stayed in the room, there was a sticky spot on the floor which remained there until we left. The coffee maker was full of dust. The building corridor and stairs were never swept or mopped, there was the same clump of hair sitting on the stairs for the week. I mentioned this to Daniel and Omar at customer relations and I was told we would have a deep cleaning of our room for two days, however, this didn't happen and there was never any follow up to ensure the work had been done. There really is no way to explain how bad the beach areas are unless you see them for yourself. The smell of dead fish is so strong and the mounds of seaweed are never ending each day along the shore line throughout the whole strip of the resort. We gave up on the beach areas. This of course is not the resorts fault as they are constantly trying to clean up the mess, however, the seaweed just keeps coming on shore on-stop. Who wants to sit in a lounge chair with piles of stinky seaweed all around them while you smell dead fish and a loud bull dosser is puttering in front of you with gas smell...there were bugs flying around while you are trying to relax...it was totally gross. I hope for the resorts sake that this issue clears up soon. If you are a beach lover I don't recommend going to the Mayan area until this issue clears up unless you are a pool person and then there are plenty of pools to satisfy. Playa Del Carmen beach area was worse when we went for the day. The good: We made the best of our vacation even though there were things that were not so great. The resort still has the same great facilities, entertainment and the food is really exceptional. The workers really work hard in all they do...they should be tipped when you feel they have provide a good service as they depend on tips as part of their pay. We especially enjoyed the Kukulcan buffet as they have so much variety and the food is so fresh. Our two favorite restaurants were the Mediterranean and Le Gourmet restaurants. The staff were amazing...a special hello to Angel our server in the Le Gourmet he was so friendly. The only excursion we did during our trip was the jewelry and tequila factory excursion. This is a free trip sponsored by the jewelry company which they take you on a tour of their shop which is stunning and show you their jewelry and wares. There is no pressure to buy although I purchased a gorgeous necklace with a stone that changes colour in different lighting. At the Tequila Factory we sampled many different tequilas...the coconut tequila is the best in our opinion...a must try...I believe it was $48 USD to buy a bottle. The coffee tequila was good too. A special hello goes out to David who assisted us with the tasting he was so friendly and knowledgeable. They take you to both facilities and then to Playa Del Carmen where you have two hours to shop and look around. They pick you up at a designated spot which is a restaurant. The free appetizers offered are so good...there a must try as well. The servers are super friendly. It was so hot outside on the day we went, we tried to stay in the stores as long as we could until the two hours was up. All in all it was a great trip. I think next time I vacation I will try a new resort with a great beach...somewhere new.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Huge Resort

This is a great resort with lots of things to do and lots of pools to sit at. The beach had a lot of seaweed but if you walked down towards the Caribe/beach hotels you could walk in the Ocean much easier. The food was delicious except for the Italian a la carte restaurant. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were nicely updated. Mini bar was restocked everyday and the rooms were cleaned in a timely manner. Be aware that it is a very long drive from the airport so keep that in mind when consid [... read more]ering flight times but check-in was quick and smooth. It is also worth noting that there are TONS of kids. The resort is big enough that you can find places to sit that have fewer or no kids but if you are looking for a resort with adults only this is not the one.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Fantastic resort!!

We do like the hotel but it is a little too big for us. The rooms were nice and totally loved the soaker tub and jets.Great for soaking in after a long day in the sun The food is fantastic. We spent an afternoon at the spa which was amazing, totally worth it! The hydrotherapy was so fun and relaxing. Grrat place for families as there were lots of kids...of all ages! This was our second time there.

Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Best trip ever!!!

We arrived on the 14th of April. Check in was easy. They took care of our luggage. We were in building 22. We were greeted by Alma St Clair. Who was very professional and catered to all our needs. She was amazing!!! The resort was like a dream come true for me. I loved all the wild life and the jungle feel to this resort. It took a few days to figure out our way around,but we found all the staff to be very helpful. Oh yes, the staff. Nothing short of amazing! And that is what is so importan [... read more]t to me. Is to feel that I am part of a family. I would like to mention a few people that stand out... Our housekeeper,Antonio, our waiters in the buffet,Julio Valez,Joseph Perez,and Sergio Trujillo. Also the medic who looked after my toe that I had cut, Emmanual Delos Santos. He has a special place in my heart. He was so good! I want to say that our room was great. Loved the pools and the entertainment. The different restaurents were all good. The wine could be a bit better, my only complaint... I will return and will recommend this hotel to all. Grand Riviera Princess: Amazing resort

This hotel is truly 5 stars . The quality and variety of food is 10/10 The room very clean staff pay attention to details. I appreciate how management and staff treat guests with respect you feel like you’re prince and princess from our arrival to our departure time . I will go back with my extended family I highly recommend this hotel .

Selection Riviera Cancun: Favourite Hotel in Puertp Morelos

Premium room, close to beach. Room lovely with plenty of amenities. Staff was fantastic, remembered your name and treated you special. Restaurants top notch. Beach had lots of seaweed when we arrived, but the staff worked non-stop to get rid of it. Bali beds had to be booked by 3 pm for next day. Butler service on Beach was the best. Nancy knew what we wanted before we did. Felt totally safe. We stayed at Secrets Silversands, Excellence, Ocean Suites and Turquesa, but they is our favo [... read more]urite. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Excellent!!

We arrived home from our week at Bahia Principe Sian Ka'an Luxury resort (adult only) We were not disappointed 😄. The hotel is immaculate, well staffed with courteous, friendly employees. Reception book in was quick and easy, seamless. Daniel, reception supervisor, was wonderful to deal with, always making sure we were satisfied. Thank you, Daniel. We only wish the satellite television service would include some Canadian content, both English and French. PLEASE. Booking reservations with Jose at the public relations desk was very pleasant. Jose was eager to make our reservations according to our needs and schedule.... Jose is a GEM! The beach is a certain distance from the hotel Sian Ka'an. I will say the trolley services were quick and efficient, I probably think walking would be daunting in the heat of the day. Martha at the Sian Ka'an beach bar came frequently with fruit skewers, Mojitos or whatever beverage our hearts desired, and always with a big smile😁...lovely. The bar services at the pool were equally pleasant. Mariana and Julio provided amazing service, remembering our favorite beverages, and delivering to our lounge chairs beside the pool. We made such good connections with the beautiful Mexican staff, memories that will last.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Good review

I’m nit going to say this hotel was excellent because it wasn’t. The activities were great, the bar tenders by the smaller pool were great, food was awesome! But the pool side service never came to us, servers in the buffet for dinner didn’t care. The pools were really gross because they weren’t filled up enough and bring filtered properly. Now the ocean I can’t blame on the hotel but it was quite disappointing. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Best resort ever

From the moment we entered the reception area we felt pampered. The staff, accommodation, surroundings, entertainment and restaurants were everything, and more, than expected. This is not our first Bahia, but certainly the best so far.

Catalonia Yucatan: Great resort!!

This was our second time staying at this resort,and it was just as good as the first time.The staff here are great,the food and drinks amazing. I like the fact that it is a smaller resort so you don't spend most of your time walking a mile to get somewhere. But it is not lacking in restaurants,bars,pools and activities.Our favorite place to eat was the steakhouse..t-bone steaks..need I say more. Looking forward to our next visit!!

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Great resort

The hotel was great. The rooms were big and clean. Everything at this resort was great except for the beach area. The beach had too much seaweed and was very rocky. The food was delicious. Had a very good time. Also the weather was very hot. Just what I wanted!

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Great adult only property

Food: buffet is great, lots choices and different features everyday. A la cart is not as good as other 5 stars in Cancun except Alux Beach: not big but water is shallow and sheltered from waves. Lots of activities like Zumba and yoga which is great. There are couple of fishes too if you like snorkeling. Service: great attentive staff. Overall we had a great time. Definitely great value for the price

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Disappointed

My husband and I have been travelling south for 15 years. This is the first time we have been so disappointed in the resort. We called our travel agent before going, as we had been told the beach was a mess with large piles of seaweed. He assured us that it was cleaned up. Apparently it has been a problem for some time as they had large man made barriers to try and keep the seaweed out. We could only swim in very shallow water. The resort itself was very clean and beautiful, the main lobby was a [... read more]lso closed for renovation, making it difficult to get around. The staff was kind and the food good. The drinks were poor quality, very difficult to find a good drink. I would never go back to this resort or recommend it to my friends.

The Fives Beach Hotel and Residences Playa Del Carmen: A Wonderful Resort

I stayed at the Azul Fives for 5 days. This was an impeccably clean resort. I mean impeccable. They staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The only downsides, in my view, were the quality of the beach, construction outside my room, and the low quality of the alcohol. The food quality was good, not terrible but not excellent either. I can recommend this hotel without reservation and would stay there again.

Grand Sirenis Mayan Beach: Resort was beautiful!

The rooms on the resort were very clean and the grounds very well maintained. We were disappointed with the beach due to the seaweed that came in on a daily basis. While the resort worked to remove the seaweed, it created a smell every morning during removal which was not pleasant. In addition, the main pool was closed due to renovation in which we were not advised. Otherwise, the staff and service were excellent. Hotel Marina El Cid Spa and Beach Resort: Beautiful gem

The resort was well layer out and offers something for everyone. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and I loved the "tropical" music produced by all the wildlife. The variety of restaurants and food would provide something for everyone. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an awesome vacation!!
