Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Great resort!

The resort was well laid out. Room was clean. Big bed. Nice sandy beach with no shortage of chez's. The buffet food was okay. I highly recommend the Mediterranean restaurant for the reserved dining. Take your own drinking containers for water and bar drinks, otherwise they give you those cheap little plastic cups at the bar. Shauna gave me a great deal on a last minute booking for one week and the process was seamless. Would definitely recommend.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: One of the best Dominican Resorts!

Having just returned from the Iberostar CD, we were so impressed by the resort that we plan to return soon. It is an eco- friendly resort and works diligently to protect the environment. The beach is fantastic, large and free of litter. We went on a standard package and found the amenities well above other VIP packages elsewhere. It is a large resort but pleasant to walk through. There was no pressure to purchase upgrades or packages. He was truly a gentleman. The food was superior to many of the resorts we have visited in the DR. Wait staff were very attentive and actually saved your favourite table each meal. The entire staff was kind and hard working. Bar drinks and staff were also excellent.

Playabachata Hotel: Honest Truth of our 1st Family Vacation

The hotel was dated but very nice, it was well kept, clean, bright and very scenic. The staff were friendly and polite but it got annoying when they would keep pushing you too visit the Senator hotel so they can pitch their Timeshares on to you. The buffet had a good selection to choice and very clean. The superior Garden view room was our choice and we were please with the size and cleanliness of it. The bathroom windows do not open and there was no fan in the bathroom which cause it to be very [... read more] musty. We had three encounters of unwelcome cockroaches. Entertainment could use much improvement along with the range of the provided WiFi in the hotel. The beach is what we came for and was the highlight of our stay it was AMAZING! My family really needed this vacation so we give this trip a 8/10.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Great Resort

I just stayed at BeLive hotel a few days ago and the hotel was great. Good food, good service and people were nice. Everything was great except that I had trouble having a ride to the airport which has nothing to do with the resort but with the travel agency. Would definitely recommend this resort for people who are looking for a nice clean and quiet resort :) Enjoy!

Punta Cana Princess: Awesome Adult only Resort

Great buffet assortment, room a bit dated but sufficient wonderful pool with walk in access was good for my 82 year old mom. Gorgeous beach walk for miles. Very enjoyable definitely would go back. Grounds Well kept clean resort.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Worst experience ever

The rooms and grounds of the hotel is beautiful but the beach is about 5-7 minutes away .The food is NOT good at all and the staff was racist.Majority of them thought that my friend and i are dominicans and because of that my friend and I was not catered to.On numerous occasions they passed us by as if we were not there and rendered their service to others (white).I came on vacation to relax after a stressful semester and my stress levels were through the roof after this vacation. Excellence El Carmen: The staff make the difference.

Excellence El Carmen is a very well-run resort. The staff are beyond criticism. The rooms are spacious, clean and well tended. The grounds are well laid out and very well maintained. The food is plentiful, Well prepared and served promptly by efficient and friendly waiters. Daily entertainment is available pool-side and various acts are shown nightly. Excellence El Carmen is my first choice in Punta Cana

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Melia as fine as it gets

Hotel and grounds were impeccable , cleanest place we've been to in a long time and so nice to see the care going into the resort. We went for the golf and is just a 3 minute drive out front of the resort. Course is in great shape and staff are wonderful. The shows at night ( on the Family side ) were amazing and a total unexpectation. Had lots of rain but managed to work around it the whole week. Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: Overall good

The grounds were beautiful and very clean and food was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful only one incident with having no water for a day in our building and a toilet that would flush that took four complaints before it got fixed

Secrets Royal Beach: Fantastic resort

Don’t usually do the same resort twice but this one we did. Service is excellent and the beach is fantastic. Night shows were great. Can’t say anything bad. Had a couple of issues with our room when we got there reported them and they fixed them promptly

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Great, quiet, small resort

The staff at this resort are outstanding. Very friendly and helpful. A great place to relax and read on the beach. Good food. Close to El Catey airport. Not a lot of space for walking. A lot of stairs to climb.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Great time at the Senator!

First time in Dominican and had a great week at Senator Resort in Puerto Plata. The staff were all friendly and the wait staff in all areas were always quick to serve. I was amazed at how clean everything is kept considering how many people are being served every hour! Also impressed that many bartenders remember your face and your regular order...and Alexander at the sports bar even talked some hockey with us! I will definitely be returning to this resort.

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Amazing resort

Hotel is very good, long beach, around amazing view, restaurants are beautiful with variety of food.Food are delicious staff very friendly and polite. Hotel is clean, room spacious. Japanese and Steak restaurants serving very good meal. Available as well coffee and pizza shops.

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: Great Week AT Lopesan

I had a wonderful week at this beautiful resort. My first time in Punta Cana and I was not disappointed. The buildings and grounds were very clean. The food was varied and the staff was friendly and attentive. I liked the wrist band/room key idea. Not having to worry about losing the room key was ideal. Some of the women in my group (15 of us), were concerned with the shower and toilet area in the rooms being close to the entry door...not enough privacy. We dined at the Mexican a [... read more]nd Asian restaurants and both were excellent. Make sure when making a reservation for the Asian, to ask for the show or you may be at a table with no view.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Delightful Place

We spent a fun week at the newly renovated Ambar. The meals were excellent whether from the buffet restaurants or the unlimited a la carte restaurants we tried. The location is good, being only 30 minutes from the airport, so you can get your sun on shortly after arriving!!

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Love Cofressi Palm!

I was quite skeptical about Cofressi after reading some bad reviews, but I was super impressed! Check in was easy and the staff were pretty friendly. I liked our room, it was good sized, clean and had a huge balcony with Muskoka chairs. The air conditioning worked great and the bed was decent. The grounds are amazing! Very beautiful. So many pools and bars. Eveything kept very clean. The staff at the bars were so friendly and danced alot to get you having a good time. The food was surprisingly g [... read more]ood and no shortage of it! Lots of different options. Lots of activties and the shows every night were good. The only things i didn't like was the fact there are a million stairs and there on septic so it can get pretty stinky! The beach isn't great, no sandy areas, the water comes up super high and they should rake the beach more often.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: AMAZING Resort!!!

This hotel was AMAZING, I heard a lot of good things so I was excited to try it. We went January 2020 for our honeymoon and they were awesome! We were able to celebrate my husband's birthday and our honeymoon all in one trip. We travel quite a bit and this was by far the best resort for food and drinks. The food was AMAZING and so were the drinks, drinks were top shelf so you didn't feel crappy after. I could have 5 daiquiris and not feel gross. Marien Puerto Plata Hotel: Be Live Marien Collection Puerto Plata

I spent 8 days at this resort. Pros: The food was really good with a lot of different items to choose from, grounds well kept, the shows were good. Cons: Not much animation, especially for solo travellers, people wake up at the crack of dawn to reserve spots around the pool by putting towels on transats without using them for hours

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Top shelf resort

I can’t say enough about this resort. The resturaunts were all very good and staff was more than friendly. The grounds were extremely large and very well kept I never saw a piece of trash on the ground anywhere and they were constantly cleaning up the seaweed on the beach. They room was kept up well all week and everything in the room worked properly. I recommend upgrading to the premier package the unlimited al a carte and upgraded room make it well worth it.

Royalton Hideaway Punta Cana: Hideaway at Royalton

The resort was clean, well laid out, friendly staff, decent food, nice beach and pools. Our particular room was on the first floor with a balcony and very small space between the service road and our balcony. Inside the room was spacious, bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a bit small but adequate. We have stayed in many places with nicer views. The major problem with this resort is the term and interpretation that this is an adults only. It definitely is not when you consider that kids ar [... read more]e roaming in all parts of the resort other that a small noisy pool within 20 feet to the other pools and one restaurant and one terrible lit bar in the corner. No one was at this bar maybe due to very little seating and the location in the beach. Sand in heals don’t mix. On many occasions the small area on the beach for adults only where occupied by many families and couples that were constantly being kicked out. A large sign stated this area of designation may help. There are many other minor issues with noise but overall this was not a relaxing holiday. I would not recommend this hotel to my friends.
